The ship horn sounded, signaling that they would be docking shortly. "Waah haaa I'm up I'm up!" Alex jerked upright, knocking his head against the door behind him. Az's door. The little fluffball in his arms cooed in annoyance. "Oh, sorry, didn't want to upset you, Patches." Alex looked down at...not...Patches? The thing in his arms was fluffy, and glowing, like a starlit sky mixed with a beautiful sunset. Like cotton candy.
Patches was laying on his side nearby, snoring heavily.
"You...where did you come from?" Alex lifted the little galaxy poof, but there was no clue, no matter how he looked at it. "Did I...dream you up?"
"Cah, cahmma!"
Alex's eyes shone. He made a dream baby! Just wait till he showed Az! "I'll name you... Fluffy Stuff!" He then spun to face Az's door, waiting for her to open it. He wasn't going to bother her with a knock.
Oh! Really quickly, Alex pulled out his pokedex and made sure that he had Darren's number in it, now. He grinned.

Azalea woke up feeling more tired than usual. She liked sleeping and naps, but usually she never had any dreams, so she assumed that running around in the dream world had tuckered her out even though she'd been sleeping in the physical one. Great. Even if annoying Darren had been kind of fun, she wasn't sure it was worth these consequences. "Jeez... Dreaming sure is a lot of work. Glad I don't do it that often." She yawned, stretched, and then heard a loud fog horn blaring at the port nearby. Shortly after, there was a loud THUMP outside of her room and the sound of Alex panicking, as well as what sounded like some sort of pokemon. What the hell? It was too early for this s**t.
Azalea groaned and rolled out of bed, dragging her feet to the door. She hadn't really bothered changing clothes for the night. She rarely ever did, since she was pretty comfortable in her hoodie. Opening the door, she stared down at Alex with her usual deadpan expression. "What the ******** are you doing on the floo—" She started to demand, before noticing the cosmog in his arms. He definitely didn't have one of those before. Where did it come from? Unless it had been on his team and he just never mentioned it. She didn't pay much attention when he talked about his pokemon other than their hilarious names, but... She was pretty sure she would have remembered if he had a cosmog. "Hey... Where'd you get that?" She asked, gesturing to the cosmic poof in his arms.
Alex grinned down at his phone when he saw the response from Darren pop up. This was his first text conversation with a friend, and he was so excited to do something cool like this. That was actually Darren, on the other side, and Sable and Jin were probably there too. He would...he would actually get to see them again some day, wouldn't he?

Alex: Oh no, I just woke up he was there! He's like me and Az's dream baby! I'm naming him Fluffy Stuff, like the cotton candy. oh but don't worry! I won't eat him, haha
Alex glanced up from his phone when he heard the door opening. And there was Az! She looked very grumpy and cool. He scrambled to his feet, balancing Fluffy in his arms. "Morning Az," he said brightly, though he kept his voice level down. He didn't want to give her a headache, if she was still tired. "I made him!" he stated confidently. "He's my dream baby. I guess it's because we dreamed together, so he's kind of yours too." Fluffy waved his cosmic arms 'hello'. "Oh and his name's Fluffy Stuff."

Azalea tilted her head curiously to one side as Alex insisted he'd made the cosmic poof. She was almost certain that wasn't true, but it wouldn't be surprising that Alex believed it to be the truth. A dream baby? He was giving her credit for it too, which was pretty funny. She didn't mind taking credit if that meant he'd let her take it and study it. Was that mean spirited of her to use him like that? Sure, but ******** if Azalea cared.
"Oh yeah, you're right. I think I've heard about that happening to some people." She smirked at his food-related name, nodding in approval. "I like that. Hey fluffy, c'mere. Can I hold him for a sec?" She asked, reaching for the little puffball to try and pick it up and take a look, poking her fingers into the strange material surrounding its body, which probably tickled a little. "It looks like someone farted space dust." She snorted. It was disgusting and cool and she kind of loved it. "Yeah alright. I guess we can keep it. Hey, who were you texting earlier?" She asked nonchalantly, handing fluffy back over to him and stepping out of the room around him.
Now that they were awake and in Alola proper, she supposed they should start looking around. "I wonder what you'd even feed that thing? Some kind of space rock candy?" Actually, now that she thought about it, she did recall that some of the numbskulls she hung out with mentioned something along the lines of space shards being given out by the professor for earning badges or completing trials. Of course, none of them were actually able to do it, since they were all trial rejects, so it was only a rumor, but... "Hey, you know, there is some special space rocks around here. You wanna go look for 'em?" She suggested, looking at Alex expectantly.
Fluffy considered letting some of his mind-bending density reassert itself as he felt himself being passed from his Alex's hands into Az's. But being held was nice. "Cahsmaa~" He wiggled when he felt curious fingers jabbing their way into his fluffy stuff. If you know what I mean.
Alex grinned like a proud dad as he handed Fluffy over, and as he watched Az poke at the cosmog he started to wonder...if.... could... could he eat that?
Fluffy, as if sensing this, shivered in his spot. He was grateful when Az caught Alex's attention by asking a question.
"Huh? Oh, just Darren! I'm glad I finally have his number." He held up his pokedex for emphasis, which he'd used the dual-functions for the picture and message. The device beeped. Cosmog, the Nebula Pokemon. Its body is gaseous and frail. It slowly grows as it collects dust from the atmosphere. In ages past, it was called the child of the stars. It’s said to be a Pokémon from another world, but no specific details are known. Oh, that was cool. 'Another world' was probably referring to the dream world. Maybe Alex should go find someone official and let them know?
Alex put his pokedex away, making room for Fluffy while Az stepped out around him. "Oh Fluffy, I'm going to have to put you in a ball," he said, demonstrating by returning the comatose Patches.
Fluffy thought about this, and decided 'no'. So when Alex tapped a ball to his cosmic poof, there was a click of the capture going through, but Fluffy remained out of his ball. He chirruped happily, and then floated his way up and around Alex's neck like a starry boa. "Oh, you want to stay out? Okay. You and Noodles can be friends." After Alex said that, Fluffy felt a little poke into his underside as Noodles' head dipped out from Alex's collar. [ THE NIGHT SAYS HELLO, ] he said, before slithering back into the unknown that was Alex's clothes.
Alex adjusted his collar a bit, trying to get used to the ticklish feeling of Fluffy. "Yeah okay Az, lead the way. Space rocks sound cool. Roxy might like them too, since she's like Pop Roxx."

Rowlet - The Grass Quill Pokemon - It feels relaxed in tight, dark places and has been known to use its Trainer's pocket or bag as a nest. Grass quill? What is a grass quill? Now that she had even more questions, Leeanne made her way back towards the train station.

Nestling herself into Leeanne's bag, she tossed a pokeball at the pokemon. Leeanne paused curiously, if it caught... She'd have another pokemon... But did she want something not nice? The click brought her back and she realized she now was the trainer of a pikipek... She gratefully climbed onto the train.

Erza blinked in surprise as Rotom popped out of the Pokedex. "Oh! Hi, there," she grinned, reaching her hand up to poke playfully at the electronic Pokemon. She gladly took the items he provided, as well as Popplio's Pokeball. Rotom slid its way into her bag with the items as she picked up the adorable seal, glad he was light enough to hold. "Thanks a lot, Professor! I'm sure we'll be back eventually," she said, cringing slightly at the heat as she held the blue Pokemon to her chest. This was definitely gonna take some getting used to. "Alright, Popplio.... Here we go," she said as they took their first steps together onto Route 1.

Ez only walked about a hundred steps before she put Popplio down in order to change from the T-shirt she was wearing into a tank top. She was already wearing a bikini top, but wasn't quite ready to show that much skin yet. She re-organized her bag before picking up the curious Popplio again, and continuing along the Route.
"I suppose I should give you a name," she finally said, smiling down at him. "Pop pop," he squealed happily, clapping his front fins together. She was glad her first Pokemon seemed to be one she could get along well with. Of course, that was entirely based on first impressions.
"Hmm, let's see... How does 'Sidney' sound," she asked after a long moment. "Or Sid for short?"
"Popplio pop pop" the Pokemon cheered, clapping his front fippers together again. He even sprayed some water into the air, letting it rain down on them in celebration. Ezra laughed happily, gladly cooled off by the spritz of water. "Haha, that settles it!! I'm looking forward to being partners with you, Sid!"

Ezra's eyes widened as she saw a hint of buildings up ahead. "Hey, Sid. How do you feel about checking out this next city up ahead? We can always come back to look for Pokemon," she reasoned. The sea lion barked and clapped his flippers in approval. Grinning at his answer, she picked up the pace ahead to Hau'oli City. She didn't care if she travelled back and forth so much, at least not now. She didn't have to live on a schedule or anything, and was taking full advantage to explore.
As promised, Alola greeted Eudora and Sam with an oppressive heat underneath a bright sun. Eudora sighed as she leaned against the boat railing, the water bottle pressed to her lips, and she drank in the approaching island at the same rate she drank her water; this far away, she could barely make out the small port that hung off the beach. Swallowing another mouthful, she turned from the coast to face Sam, who sat on the bench beside her. "It hot enough for ya?" she asked, eyeing the bug's ice spikes and marveling at their tenacity; they were rigid and showed no sign of melting, defying the pounding heat. Sam churred quietly as he focused his attention on his water bowl. Eudora nodded in agreement, pushing herself off the railing to join him on the bench. It was best to rest her legs while she still could. Once they docked, it was an uphill trek to her Aunty's.

It took a while to find the train station, but Ezra eventually did find it, thanks to Ivar's help. He landed on her shoulder as she walked in, carrying Sid as Mellan, Eli, and Barry all rode on Brigid's back. "Let's see.... Oh, looks like the next train leaves in about an hour. Perfect timing," she said in relief after looking over the departure list. She went up to the counter and asked for a ticket to Pallet Town. The man behind the counter glanced at all of her Pokemon and sighed, "Only one Pokemon out of its Pokeball on the train, and it has to fit on your lap. This is to ensure everyone has room to sit." He sounded bored as hell, but Ezra nodded in understanding.
Brigid was too big, obviously. Eli and Barry had too much energy for a train ride. That left Sid, Mellan, or Ivar. She decided on Mellan, his lax attitude would be great for traveling, and she wouldn't feel so alone like she did before.
Once she had her ticket, she promised everyone they'd get to come right back out once they were settled in Kanto, and withdrew them into their Pokeballs, except for Mellan, who she carried in her arms.

While they waited for the next hour for the train to arrive, Ezra got some popcorn out of the vending machine and shared it with Mellan. She grinned, watching as he sniffed the snack curiously and then nibbled on it. He seemed to really enjoy it, as he grabbed two more pieces to stuff into his mouth at once. Once that was gone, Mellan still seemed hungry, so Ez rooted around in her pouch. She pulled out a Sweet Heart and offered it to him. He ate it happily, letting out a cry of joy as he did a little happy dance.

Finally, the train was boarding! Ezra held on tightly to Mellan as they waited in line to get on the train. Mellan looked around curiously, sniffing and listening to as much stuff as he could pay attention to. Once they finally got to their seat, Ezra sat next to the window and propped Mellan up so he could see. The Pichu watched in amazement once they started moving, the landscape rushing past them. A few hours later, Ezra and Mellan were passed out, lulled to sleep by the sounds of the train.
They woke up the next morning to an announcement. "Attention passengers! Welcome to Kanto! We will be arriving to Pallet Town momentarily. To ensure your safety, please remain seated until the train comes to a complete stop. Please double check under your seats and overhead compartments for all your belongings. Thank you for riding with us, and we hope you have a pleasant stay!" Mellan, hearing the announcement, was suddenly full of energy - excited to be seeing a new place. Ezra yawned, still groggy from sleeping in the seat. "Calm down, Mellan, we're almost there. We can explore once the train stops," she promised, petting the Pichu.
