Akari didn't seem too thrilled to be battling, but there wasn't much else they could do about that. Training was the most reliable way to get stronger and learn more moves; which were things they definitely needed. She didn't protest against battling, of course, and was happy to show off her new move. Which Mitsu took advantage of."Start off with Quick Attack!"Watching Akari sprint and attack the Slowpoke with a well-placed headbutt was honestly so rewarding. He'd been so closed to completely missing the attack entirely that it was nice to see he was able to correct it in time. Not to be outdone by its opponent, the Slowpoke retaliated with Tackle, but that was hardly enough to do much to the Pikachu."Okay. Let's finish this up with a Thunder Shock.""Pi!"The electrical strike was all it took to knock the Slowpoke out and, seemingly proud of her victory, Akari squealed and returned to Mitsu's arms."That was great, Akari! You were amazing out there!"Digging into his bag, Mitsu grabbed a potion and sprayed Akari's wound with it to help with her recovery. It was good to see his team come along.

Not a single scratch on him. Blinky really was her best Pokemon at this point in time. Especially with that strange ability to use Fly; that really saved his hide from any ailments Grimer could've inflicted on him. Taking out a ball, Skye tossed it at the Grimer and watched as it shook until it pinged. Yes! That was one Alolan variant down. Pepeki flew over and grabbed the ball for her, but she went ahead and sent it to Kukui's storage. She didn't particularly care about the Grimer, though she would have to see if she had to evolve it for it to count towards that reward from Iki. Looking back at Blinky, Skye approached the Christmas-y Stantler and rubbed his ears, earning a content snort from the Pokemon."You were fantastic in that fight. I don't know how you managed to learn a move like that, but you can bet that bright red nose of yours I'm never letting you forget it. That's a life saver right there."After giving the Stantler a gentle kiss between his eyes, something she learned he enjoyed, Skye returned him to his ball and stretched. That was a good warm-up. She just hoped she wouldn't have to rely on him too much.

After wandering around for a while to look for more Pokemon to fight, Skye came to the conclusion they were making themselves scarce. Probably because it was getting dark. Though, she was sure there were nocturnal Pokemon, weren't there? Where were they? Giving a small huff, she sat down in the grass and rubbed her temple. Alola's air was really starting to get to her. She was even getting dizzy."M'lady?""...I'm alright. Just going to take a nap for a bit. Should be fine afterwards."Skye set her bag next to her, more or less holding it since that was where Natalina was napping, while Pepeki made himself comfortable on her stomach as it was where he always slept. Belladona, being the loner she was, sat down some distance away and seemed to be playing look out. Though, she focused more on her ears than actually looking around. Could she even see through her mane? Shrugging, Skye decided to leave it because despite her attitude, Belladona seemed committed to her trainer and team. Taking a deep breath (she may or may not have regretted it instantly), Skye rested her head on her arms and let herself drift off.

The first thing Spinarak did when challenged was use Scary Face, which was a completely unnecessary tactic considering it was already faster than Hoshi based on that alone. But, Mitsu wasn't about to let a speed drop stop them; would've turned out that way anyway."Go ahead and use Pound, Hoshi!"The Popplio bounced over to the Spinarak, did a spin, and then whacked the arachnid with his flipper as hard as he good. That seemed to disorient Spinarak for a few moments, but it recovered quickly and countered with Constrict. Even though he was fine with Spinarak and other Bug-types, it was still creepy watching them wrap their legs around an opposing Pokemon and seemingly attempting to squeeze the life out of them. Then again, that was probably what Spinarak was trying to do; they were, after all, carnivorous. Thankfully, it did very little to Hoshi."Disarming Voice!"It was too bad Spinarak wasn't effected much by Water moves because that would've been a great use of Liquid Voice. But, it still got the job done. Too bad the bug used Absorb, which was effective against Hoshi, and healed itself. Seeing Hoshi couldn't survive another hit like that, Mitsu recalled him and sent out Akari in his place.
This time, they had the upper hand."Use Quick Attack, Akari!"Akari darted at the Spinarak before it could attack and slammed into it, returning to stand dutifully in front of Mitsu again. Not taking kindly to the swift blow and likely hoping to turn the tide in its favor again, Spinarak used Absorb again. This time, though, it wasn't nearly as effective as it was with Hoshi and after Akari used Thunder Shock, the battle was over."Yes~! You both did really well! I'm so proud of you two!"Mitsu grabbed some potions from his bag to treat their wounds, laughing when Hoshi made a bubble and shot it at Akari to playfully goad her into a fight.

After the battle against the wild Spinarak, Mitsu suddenly felt very tired. Maybe the excitement from the Spookival had finally caught up to him. Whatever the case, he was actually rubbing his eyes. He definitely needed a nap. Looking around, he found a pretty nice place for a quick nap; and, it was kind of out of sight, too, so he should be safe from thieves or those guys he helped Erryn with if they decided to come back."How about a nap?""Nap?""You sleep for a couple hours to get back energy."Well. They did. He didn't know if Ghost-types sleep. Helmition contemplated Mitsu's words before giving a nod of sorts."Very well. We will keep a lookout.""Really? That's sweet of you. I appreciate it."Mitsu returned Hoshi, Ito, and Akari to their balls before going over to the spot he'd seen. Once he was comfortable, resting his head on his bag, Mizu made herself comfortable in the crevice between his arm and side like a kitten or a puppy would. He smiled, patted her bubble, and then relaxed to drift off to sleep.

"I've never been on a boatrain before either." Azalea suggested, smirking a little from behind her absurdly large hoodie. "Guess there's a first time for everything." She shrugged, ushering Alex onto the boat before it slowly disembarked for Alola. She was looking forward to going 'home', or at least the only kind of home she ever had. More importantly, she needed to investigate what Sammy had said about someone messing with her tags, maybe beat some sense into a few boneheads if that lesson needed to be taught. No one messed with her tags. No one.
"So one thing you should know about Alola is that we have some traditions, namely rapping and claiming your turf with art." Technically these were Team Skull traditions, not Alola traditions, but oh well. The boy was going to have to learn either way if he wanted to make it. "I gotta practice my rap battles or my skills will get rusty. Then the numbskills in alola will try and bust me with their lame rhymes when it's time, but they can't touch me. So I guess it's up to me to teach you what to do when someone comes all up in your space to put you in your place because let's face it, your word skills are a disgrace, so I'll have to teach you the basics." Azalea spat a quick verse to give Alex a taste of what the team skull group culture was all about. "It's okay if you can't keep up with a lyrical genius like me, the important thing is to be really into it and animated, 'cause then you'll earn some pity I guess. You dig?"
"Also, it's gonna take some time to get to Alola. It's like... On the opposite side of the world from Kanto, so we should probably get some rest now on the ship so we'll be a little more acclimated to their time zone. Plus I'm lazy and I'll take any excuse to sleep more, so.... Yeah. G'night." Azalea insisted, giving a lazy wave and walking to her cabin.
Alex trotted after Az, glancing from the boat they were boarding towards inland, where he knew the train station was. This... was not a train. He was... pretty sure it was just a boat. Hm.
"Oh, yeah? Rapping and... art?" Alex brightened. "I can do art! But what's rapping?" If it had anything to do with unwrapping sweets and junk food, he'd be the new regional champ. Alex was pretty sure Az kept talking after that, but honestly he kind of felt like he'd had a stroke. "Uhm. Yes?" He smiled and gave her a double thumbs up because he definitely got all of that.
Good thing Az started making sense again after that. "Seriously, it's that far?" Alex still had no idea how long that would take. So... four hours? That didn't sound too bad. But... "Actually-" Alex spoke up too late, because Az was already walking off. He rubbed at his wrists, frowning. The last time he'd gone to sleep he...hadn't woken up for a long time. And when he did, Darren and Sable had been gone.
Suddenly, Alex had an excellent idea. He walked right over to Az's door and plopped himself down right in front of it. There! Now he'd definitely wake up and he wouldn't get himself left down again. He released Cabbage Patch, because Cabbage Patch was very snuggly (and because he knew Patches wouldn't run off). Arms wrapped tight around his bullasore, he closed his eyes.

Rina whistled as she walked away from the lab. Zero was to her right, Rolo on her left shoulder, and Rey gliding overhead. Rina had decided to take Rey with her before she left the professors lab. It was easy to get his pokeball sent here to the lab after all. She stared fondly at the bird type, the first partner she had ever had. However, Rey wasn't hers anymore... not really. After she had gone missing, Ray had taken it upon himself to raise Rey in her place. When her parents told her that Ray had left Rey in their care before he suddenly vanished Rina's heart ached. What could have caused him to leave his closest pokemon behind? What had happened to him?

Rina let out a sigh, before she felt something lightly jab into her side. She frowned, before turning her head towards Zero "what was that for?" she questioned, pouting a bit. Zero rolled their eyes, before tapping their head a few times. Ah, she was thinking too much wasn't she? She puffed her cheeks "I can't help it, he's my brother and I'm worried!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. Zero huffed, arms crossed as he stared at her. Rina cocked her head to the side, her own arms crossed now. Rolo ruffled his feathers, trying to get comfortable. Rina could tell the little guy was just as worried, however, it seemed that Rolo wasn't comfortable confronting her about it yet.

Rina released Zero from the hug, before spinning back towards the port. Rina had come here to this region to relax, and get used to the outside world again. This place was peaceful, and Rina was so thankful for that. This small break was exactly what she needed, however, it was time to move on with her journey. Rina needed to find her brother, and no matter how much she focuses... she just can't find her brothers aura anywhere. It scared Rina, what if she wouldn't ever find Ray again? Rina slapped her cheeks, before shaking her head "no time to think negative! I just need to follow my heart!" he exclaimed, before giving Zero a cheeky look. Zero rolled his eyes, clearly embarrassed. Yeah, Rina was never gonna let him live that down.
Rina then turned towards rolo, and used her finger to rub under his chin "ready to go see the rest of the world?" she asked softly. Rolo hummed happily, nodding as he enjoyed the attention Rina was giving him. Rina smiled, before looking over to Rey. She gave him a fond smile "thank you... for watching over him, watching over Ray. It must have been hard, and I know I'm not your trainer... not really, but I promise we'll find him no matter how long it takes... no matter where we go or who we have to face, we will find him" she said determined. She looked up, her eyes burning with passion "We won't stop until he's safe and back home" she whispered softly, a promise she planned to keep. Rey squawked loudly in agreement, flapping his wings. Rina smiled, yeah nothing was going to stop them no matter what!
With that in mind, Rina decided to search the Johto region first for any clues. She didn't have much to go on, so she'd just have to try and find whatever she could. Perhaps Rina would even run into some of Ray's classmates or friends. Maybe they'd know more about what had happened to Ray. Plus Rina needed to know how her brother was, she needed to know the truth. She needed to know how her brother had coped, she just hoped her heart was ready to hear the truth. She tossed those thoughts aside, before making her way onto the boat. For now all she could do was search, and hope for the best.

The first thing Simon did when he opened his eyes was check his Pokemon, all seven balls were there. The six that were active along his belt and the extra one he kept with him with his Dusknoir in it. Dusknoir however was not in the ball, or at least the light showed it to be empty. Sitting up, greatly afraid for a moment he breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the large ghost Pokemon hovering protectively near him. “What, what happened?”“Unknown,” Dusknoir spoke into his mind. “You were speaking to the trainer, about to train Magikit however you seemed to black out. The trainer left you to your own means but you seemed to zone out then pass out.”“Thank you for looking over me,” Simon said smiling at his old friend who bobbed. Although not able to smile himself Dusknoir sent a feeling of happiness and slight worry at his friend. Looking around he moved over to a tree sitting against the base. Touching his Pokeballs he released each one for a moment before returning them. Although most were newer party members they all expressed concern and relief. Finally Yveltal was still with him, a rare Pokemon, legendary even, and his biggest concern which might be missing. With them all away now he checked his things, everything was there.
After a few more minutes of gathering his thoughts and emotions Simon removed his Pokenav, this was his latest concern. Time had passed, the lack of the other trainer and that Alolan Rattata was proof enough but things felt different as well. When he saw the date he nearly choked on his own spit. Hand shaking he lowered it and looked at Dusknoir. “What happened?”“I used a move, to keep you safe,” Dusknoir said cryptically however Simon could tell he didn’t want to go into further details. That was fine, he could just move on. Checking his alerts he saw all the events he missed, messages too, and news updates. The only real one of note that was specifically alerted for him was about Ajicka since they had met up a few times in the past, she managed to challenge and defeat the Kanto Elite Four, news on becoming the champion was cut off by having to pay for the news which he ignored, making a note that if they ever met up again to ask her himself. Rubbing his eyes with his hands he wondered what the heck he was going to do next.
