Freddy returned Marty to his Pokeball and ventured forth through the bushes into a clearing. Ahead of him was a tall stone podium with intricate shapes carved into it's surface. Freddy approached it reservedly and held out his hand, touching the podium. It was a bizarre clearing, Freddy noticed, it was as though the forest was scared at what lay within. He knelt down and saw that within the podium was a small crystal, suspended in air. Freddy went to touch it, unafraid he wondered what such a brilliant crystal was doing in the cemetery. He hoped it wasn't a tribute to a fallen trainer. Then he heard the whispers, unable to tell what they were truly saying, he caught the gist. It was as though the crystal wanted to be removed. "KoKooooooo~" it cried. Freddy knew what he had to, he removed the crystal swiftly. Pulling the crystal from the podium it felt quite light. He peered through it, holding it up to the sky. It was clear except for a small symbol within. "What a mystery you are" Freddy muttered to himself. It needed further analysis, he would enquire in town about what he had found. But first he needed both a Pokemon Centre and also to find his friends. It had felt like forever since he had seen them.

Finding her way to the back of the cemetery, Eline and the group set up camp. A fire was lit with the help of Sulfur, and soon enough the group was relaxing by the fire. Eline released her team, letting them find their places to bunker down before she pulled out the incense stick from her bag, She inspected it for a bit, then retrieved a stick from the fire, and lit the incense. An eerie purple mist floated up from it's tip, and with that Eline placed the incense on it's stand to let it burn. A chill passed through the camp making Eline glance up towards the dark cemetery.... it'd gotten far darker than it was only a few seconds ago. The young Pichu, Mareanie and even Calcium quickly huddled around Eline. "It's alright. Titanium, Lithium and Sulfur will keep us safe. Right guys?" Eline reassured them. The team nodded agreeing with that statement.
It was then, from the darkness, a Gastly emerged. Sulfur hissed at the specter with his back hunched upward. With a crouch backwards, he leaped in to the air, and used his tongue to lick the ghost. The rest of his body passed through it, but the damage from his attack had been done, drawing the Gastly's attention. It narrowed it's eyes. An angry expression meant it was using Mean Look. It wasn't like Sulfur was going to run away from a ghost. No, he leaped back into the air, and once more licked the ghost. It let out a cry and began to fade from sight, but Eline quickly tossed a ball, eager to add it to her Pokedex's registry.

With the captured ghost she recorded it's data, then released it once more out into the field. It appeared, fully aware. Being a ghost it likely didn't take long for it to regain consciousness. "If you want to stay in the Cemetery here, you're more than welcome to." Eline suggested to the ghost. It sported a rather curious look, but after a moment it cackled and vanished. Had it read Eline's mind to gain further information? Well, there was no need lingering upon it, as another ghost made it's advancement towards the group, this time a Drifloon appeared. It lowered it's appendages to wrap around a branch to keep from floating away. Sulfur quickly attacked, getting in a lick with his rough tongue before being blown away by a gust. The feline quickly recovered and launched once more at the balloon ghost, licking it once more. It seemed to deflate a bit, but before it could blow away Eline tossed a ball and caught the ghost as she'd done before with the Gastly.

After the ball sealed on the Drifloon, Eline retrieved the ball, taking it into her hands, then pressed the button to release the balloon ghost back out into the world. It appeared, quickly wrapping it's appendages around Eline's arm, keeping itself from drifting off. "As I told the Gastly, you're more than welcome to stay here if you'd like." Eline explained. The ghost bobbed a few times, keeping itself from being pulled away by the breeze, apparently thinking. But after a few minutes, the balloon released itself from her arm, and drifted off with a passing breeze. Eline waved good-bye to the ghost, turning towards her team. "See, it's not as scary as you'd think." She stated, kneeling down to join her Pichu, Munchlax and Mareanie. She had quite the group of younger Pokemon. Even the Caterpie from earlier moved in for some cuddle time.
Meanwhile, another guest arrived. A Misdreavus this time. Sulfur didn't waste anytime challenging the feminine ghost, initiating battle with it by using lick as per the usual. However, it seemed this Misdreavus was going to prove much harder a foe to fell than Eline had thought. With it's use of Astonish it was gaining the upper hand over Sulfur, so much so that the feline was starting to look as though he was going to faint. Standing at attention, Eline quickly tossed a ball at the Misdreavus, hoping to capture it before it dealt it's final blow to the feline. After all she wasn't near a Pokemon Center right now, and didn't have any revives to use on her Pokemon.
However, her luck wasn't on her side in this instance. The Misdreavus broke free, and quickly used it's last attack to faint Sulfur. Eline narrowed her gaze, tossing anther ball, this time it critically captured the ghost. "Well, that was unexpected." Eline muttered. Crossing over to Sulfur she pat his side some. "You did well. I'll get you good to go in a moment." Calling Sulfur back to his ball, she looked up towards the Misdreavus' ball. "You weren't being caught without a fight I see...." Eline muttered. Perhaps this meant something. Grabbing the ball, she released the Misdreavus from it, lowering both hands to her lips, resting her wrists on her hips. "So. As I told the Gastly and Drifloon you're welcome to leave." She voiced. The Misdreavus stared intently into Eline's eyes, and after a moment she let out a light eerie cackle, and floated over to Eline's Pokemon. She seemed to be speaking with them, Lithium being the only one aside from Niobium that could speak the same language Eline spoke parted her lips in a keen looking smile. 'Well, Welcome to the team than. You certainly did a number on our dear Sulfur.' Lithium supplied. Hearing this, Eline gave a slight grin. Placing the ball into her bag. This one was staying.

With Sulfur out of commission, Eline was left with training up someone else for the time being. Thinking upon her upcoming challenges, she felt perhaps she should prepare for the second island, which meant she'd need a strong Electric or Grass-type along with a strong Water, Ground, Fire and Flying-type. Of those, she had Sulfur of course, but more so, Radium, Mercury, Fluorine, Neon.... Yes, she was pretty set. As she thought upon this, a shadow weaved it's way into the area, revealing a Sableye. Radium took a gulp and leaped forward, calling out the intruder. While Calcium and Mercury huddled close to Eline, Radium once more called out to the Sableye, this time gaining Eline's attention. "Hold on, Radium." She voiced.... She didn't want to end up with another fainted Pokemon that she wanted to train. Perhaps... there was something she could teach the Pichu that could prevent that. Well, aside from just keeping up on using potions. Searching her bag, she came across the Heart Scales she'd found.... while they weren't entirely useful on her Alolan native Pokemon.... Pichu had decedents that likely came from other regions, where Move Tutorage was more common. Kneeling down, the scientist applied the heart-shaped scale to the Pichu. As suspected, it was absorbed, leaving the Pichu with a rather... confused expression. "Use whatever move you just learned." Eline instructed. Which was just want Radium did. Taking a Night Shade, Radium leaped at the ghost, using his rather short tail to slam into the ghost before it vanished back into the ground... effectively knocking it out. "Iron Tail, perfect." Fishing out the other Heart Scale, she knelled down once more, this time using the scale on her Munchlax. It was absorbed as well. "What mo-" 'Eline.' Lithium's voice interrupted her train of thought. She looked up to the fox who motioned over towards the Sableye. 'I don't believe you've caught one of them before.' She continued. Eline's gaze widened. "Oh! Right!" Whipping around, she found the Sableye still fainted, thankfully. Tossing a Pokeball she waited until she knew this one was captured before she went back to her Munchlax... who'd effectively coughed up a rather nasty looking bit of gunk from his throat, spitting it up into a nearby rock pile.

Yet another capture and release put behind her. Eline quickly used a potion on Radium to heal him up for the minimal damage she'd received. She didn't want to risk another Pokemon fainting so soon. Not after learning a rather powerful move. Radium was happy to of been of use, after all she'd only just joined Eline. The mouse had thought this'd just be a quick little detour, but then she'd be released... much like she'd been a few times already. Whatever the case, her chance to shine came quickly, this time in the form of yet another ghost. Well, at first it didn't appear to be a ghost, but a moving pile of sand. Though the tell-tale shove rotating at the top of the mound told Eline was she was dealing with. She'd seen plenty of them after all, being a water bug some herself. Normally a beach-bound Pokemon, the draw of the incense was enough to drag the sandy ghost all the way into the cemetery, it's sandy body kept together rather well, leaving only a slightly narrow trail of sand behind it. "You're rather far from a beach. I'll keep you on hand until we get back to Hau'oli, can't have you going sand-less before you can get back home." Eline reassured it. "Radium, you know what to do." Radium nodded, running forward a bit. The ghost quickly flung a bit of sand from it's own body at Radium, forcing the mouse to close her eyes... she was covered in sand.. it was hard to see now, she'd gotten a bit in her eyes. Whatever the case, she rushed forward, how hard was it to hit a random pile of sand in the middle of some short grass? As suspected, Radium managed to smack the sand pile with her iron clad tail, knocking the ghost out. Eline then quickly tossed a ball, letting it take in the ghost, while she retrieved Radium and helped flush out the sand from her eyes.

What Eline hadn't noticed right away, but luckily Radium had. The Sandyghast had left them quite the present. It's sandy body had dragged along with it, several items.... one of which was extremely useful to the scientist at that moment; Revives. Gathering the spoils, the white-haired woman quickly called Sulfur from his ball and used it upon him. The medication absorbed into his body, bringing a jolt of energy though his fur, awakening him from his seemingly endless slumber. Standing up with brissled fur, he shook himself to wake up a bit more, then glanced up to Eline... as if to ask what had happened. "Good to see you've returned to us." Eline spoke, patting his back. "Are you up for some more fighting?" The feline arched his head to the side. "I've got something extra that will certainly help you in these battles." She continued, offering the other items that the Sandyghast had graciously provided them. Several Rare Candies. One sniff of the round delicacies was all Sulfur needed before he snatched up five of the seven candies. Eline offered the remaining two to Radium who happily consumed the candies.
There was a moments pause however, as Sulfur once more began to shake his body, though this time... it was due part to a metamorphosis of his body. The small feline grew twice his size, appearing as a newly evolved Torracat. A newly adorned necklace around the feline's neck flared up as he let out a fierce roar. There was little time to appraise the feline's new form before he bounded right over Eline's head and landed with teeth a blaze onto a approaching Phantump, chomping down with fire licking at his lips, the Phantump stood hardly a chance to retaliate before floating down to the ground, it's ghostly body vanishing, leaving the chunk of a tree behind. Eline readied a ball, tossing it to the Phantump, capturing this ghost as well.

"Fantastic!" Eline exclaimed as she crossed to where the ball had rested, inside a freshly captured Phantump. She released it, giving it the same offer she'd done to the previous ghosts, it choose of course, to return to roaming the wilds. The white-haired woman then turned her gaze to Sulfur, kneeling down before the feline, offering a scratch behind his ears. "You've certainly regained the spring in your step. That was quick thinking." Eline voiced. "Now that you've evolved I'm sure the next trials will be easy enough. However." Eline paused. "Why don't you take a proper rest now? Radium learned a rather powerful move, and I'd like to train her up some as well." Sulfur shook his fur, looking up at Eline for a while before looking down to the tiny mouse at his feet. He seemed to grim before pawing his way over towards the fire, laying with his back practically in the fire. "I assume that means you're up for training, Radium." Eline chuckled. Radium bobbed her head, eager to continue fighting.
With luck at her side, a Mimikyu emerged as her next foe. The part fairy-type held the scribbled face of a Pikachu, but it was certainly vastly different than the electrical mouse from Kanto. Radium looked up on with sparks flying from her cheeks. She was eager to battle this foe. "Strike it with your new move." Eline ordered. Radium nodded her head, and dashed at the copy-cat with her tiny tail clad in iron before leaping forward, going into a somersault, ending with her tail smacking directly into the Mimikyu's face... well, what she thought was the face. Mimikyu had a unique ability that negated damage first turn, thanks to the costume it covered itself with. The Mimikyu retaliated with making even more clones of itself, with Double Team. "Once more, watch them carefully and aim true." Eline instructed. Trying herself to pick out the real one. The mouse took a flying leap at one of the clones, cladding her tail in Iron once more. She struck true, and luckily hit the right one. Eline tossed a ball quickly, before the Mimikyu could use any other form of trickery it might know.

The newest addition, still in it's ball rested nearby. Eline eagerly rushed over to scoop up the ball, holding it up to admire it for a moment before finally releasing it's quarry. At first the Mimikyu seemed confused, turning it's body around. Upon closer inspection it's 'head' could easily be seen as a fake. It's true body rested below in the 'body'. "Hello there." Eline spoke up, resting a hand on the ghost's 'head' It stood upright now, the way it was meant. The ghost turned it's gaze upward, shivering under Eline's touch. "Don't worry, we're not going to attack you anymore." She reassured it. "Actually, I have a question. Would you care to join us? You're free to go if you don't want to." The Mimikyu looked between Eline and the rest of her team nearby. The scent of the incense no longer drove it crazy, with a rational mind it was able to think clearly.
Looking back to Eline the ghost bobbed it's 'head' giving off what Eline thought could be happy sounds. "Oh, want to join us? Well, fantatic!" She exclaimed. "The more the merrier. We have plenty of room by the fire if you'd care?" Eline instructed, motioning towards the warm fire that Sulfur was practically laying on top of. The ghost gave off more happy sounds and began sliding forward. There was a slight curiosity when it came to looking under the Mimikyu's cloth, but Eline wasn't ignorant to the tales. Thankfully, a Gastly appeared to serve as a reminder of what was going on. Radium quickly dealt with it, using her new move. The Gastly down, more continued on their way. Eline took a deep breath, and went over the mental list she'd made of the ghosts they'd encountered so far, and which ones she still needed to capture for the Alola Dex. Actually fishing out her dex, she looked at the device confused. "An update?" Selecting this update, she found several Pokemon had been added to the dex. "Interesting, has there been a sudden influx of new species in Alola? Curious..." Well, whatever the case... it seemed aside from Dhelmise, there were two others to capture. Thankfully the incense was working asit should, and more ghosts were appearing. It was only a matter of time before she captured them all.

As if it were predetermined, a Dhelise lowered it's anchor body down before the group, a chain that still attached itself to it's body clanging hauntingly against it's body. Eline felt herself freeze a bit.. it was far more scarier than she'd imagined. Most of the other ghosts weren't all that scary, but, well.. Dhelmise just held something about it that made her uneasy. Thankfully, Radium was prepared, armoring her tail she rushed forward, using the speed of her light body at her advantage, and with one well placed slam of her tail, the Dhelmise collapsed to the ground. A brush of fur from Titanium brought her back from her frozen state. "Right. Good work Radium." Eline praised, grabbing a ball and chucking it. The ball shook only once before breaking... Eline was rather shocked. This was the first time it'd done that to her. Furrowing her brow, she grabbed another ball and chucked it even harder, this time it caught the Dhelmise with ease. Letting out a sigh of relief, she closed her eyes for a moment to collect herself.
Approaching the ball, she quickly released it's occupant. The Dhelmise hadn't entirely recovered but it was well enough to look back at Eline. She couldn't really tell what it's expression was, which is likely the primary reason for her uneasiness. "I'm giving you the option of staying with me, or going back to where ever you came from." Eline instructed. "But, I'm not entirely releasing you back to the wild." The Dhelmise floated for a minute... then before Eline could say anything more, it turned and left. Passing by the other ghosts that were being drawn in. Another sigh escaped the scientist. She was... relieved it wasn't staying.

With the ghostly Dhelmise gone, Eline was able once more to focus on what was before her. More Ghost-type haunts approached, one of which, a Gastly that made itself known with a chilling chuckle. Radium wasn't at all intimidated, quickly acting with an iron clad tail to the ghosts gassy body. It connected and thankfully dispatched the ghost. Hopping back to Eline's side, the Pichu looked back with a smile. "Good work, Radium. Just let me know when you need a rest." Eline offered, giving the Pichu a pat on her head. Radium cooed and quickly turned back to find another ghost had entered their small camp.

It was another Gastly. Apparently a whole group of them had appeared after the defeat if their brethren. Radium, still very much raring to go quickly dispatched one of the Gastly, giving off a fierce cry as another Gastly took it's place. This little warrior of a mouse was asking for trouble being so eager to battle, but Eline was close by, ready to swoop in at any time to aid her little friend. "You can take them, Radium!" Eline cheered from the sidelines. She to was eager to see each battle come to an end.

With another swift slap of her iron clad tail, the final Gastly met it's doom. Radium squeaked in excitement, showing a bit of cockiness in her grin. Eline settled down beside the fire that was still going strong thanks to her companions eagerly keeping it alive, specifically Sulfur who loved the feeling of fire licking his back. As the scientist leaned back she felt a wash of exhaustion come over her. She certainly had a exciting day thus far, filled with capturing all sorts of Pokemon on Melemele island, but perhaps it was time to turn in. Radium seemed able to handle the fleet of ghost-types closing in on them, and if she fell, Sulfur with his constant cat-napping was likely able to step in when Radium felt she'd finally had enough. "Don't go overboard, Radium. Don't underestimate those ghosts either." Eline warned. Radium bobbed her head, but whether the message actually got through was another question.
Set on that fact, Eline laid down on her back, resting her head on her lab coat, which she'd bundled into a pillow and was all to ready to simply fall asleep, but then she heard something in the distance. It steadily grew louder, before it turned into full volume. It seemed Ghost-type Pokemon were not the only thing in this cemetery, no in fact a whole gaggle of humans joined them, some with Pokemon some not. The leader of which appeared to be a woman with lush violet hair, and a ball cap with the letters 'KDA' stitched above the bill of her hat. Eline rose from her spot with a yawn, examining the group as they came into view. It wasn't long before they took notice of Eline and her Pokemon, even in the darkness of the night, Eline could see the fire burning in the leader's eyes.

As hot as the fire in the woman's eyes flared, it dimmed when one of her companions whispered something to her. The woman waved whatever they'd said off, and began to saunter over towards Eline. Her walk was just as sassy as her smile. "Oye, Chula. You don't mind if we pop a squat don't ya?" She mused, taking a seat by the fire before Eline could answer. The scientist grinned herself, shrugging her shoulders as she turned to face the fire cross legged. Apparently her well nights sleep would have to wait. The leader of the group stretched out her body as the rest of her group sat down around the fire. Eline's Pokemon moved closer to Eline, save for Sulfur who was content on laying right where he was. "It's been a rough day, Chika." The woman spoke up, looking over towards Eline. "The names Karliah, and those are my homies, Gracie, Martez, and Rio."
Eline was taken aback by how forthcoming the woman was. Introducing herself right off the bat, before Eline had even managed to get in a word edgewise. Her 'homies' as she'd called them seemed rather taken aback themselves. They hadn't expected her to be so welcoming? Interesting. "Good Evening, I'm Eline." She then gestured towards her Pokemon, listing of each of their names. "What would bring you out to the cemetery so late at night?" Eline inquired. For awhile the group fell mostly into silence. Karliah seemed to be fiddling with some sort of device on her wrist while her friends talked among themselves. Eline returned her attention on the fire, occasionally looking back to see how Radium was faring against the ghosts. Radium was certainly a spitfire, and while Eline had expected her to of run out of juice by now, the sparky Pichu was still going at it, one Iron Tail at a time. "Radium you are an ever flowing ball of energy." Eline stated with a smile. "Yea, maybe the little ratón could charge this stupid thing." Karliah's voice spoke out. She frustratingly dropped her arms into her lap. Eline glance over a curious look in her gaze. "Hmm? I was meaning to ask you for some time now, just what is that device you have on your wrist?" Eline inquired, scooting a bit closer. Karliah held up her wrist and pointed to it with her other hand. "It's called a PbiggrinA, it's like an all in one tech made in Orre." Orre? Now that was a region she hadn't heard of in some time. From it sounded like, it was likely like one of the many devices across the regions that had just about anything you needed on it. "Well, Radium is a tad busy, but I do have another suggestion. Neon, could you assist?" Eline inquired. From their ball, Neon appeared with a flash, quickly sipping this way and that before dropping it's hefty washing machine body onto the ground and zipped out of it in it's normal form before vanishing within Karliah's watch. "Woah! That thing was fast, what the heck was it?" Karliah asked, but her question would have to wait as Neon shot back out a moment later and returned to their washing machine body. "Wa-wowwie Zowwie!" The ghost stated. "That was q-q-quite the r-r-r-r-rush!" It called. "I-i haven-nt-nt been in one of th-th-those before-er-er." Karliah looked down at her wrist device as it sprung to life, a soft glow soon flickered as more images showed up. "Sweet! What ever you are, you are my hero, seriously. This thing is like, my everything, Cosa." And like that, Karliah's temperament seemed to all but vanish as she scrolled through the various apps on the device.
