	"Melemele Island: Hau'oli Cemetery" Connecting Land Routes: Route 2 Hau'oli Cemetery is a cemetery for people and Pokémon who have passed Location specific items: Ghostium Z: Once per battle, any Pokémon using one of the Ghost type attacks listed below may instead use Never-Ending Nightmare. The power of this Z Move depends on the attack it is substituted for. To Obtain: 30 Posts Astonish - 100 Hex - 160 Lick - 100 Moongeist Beam - 180 Night Shade - 100 Ominous Wind - 120 Phantom Force - 175 Shadow Ball - 160 Shadow Bone - 160 Shadow Claw - 140 Shadow Force - 190 Shadow Punch - 120 Shadow Sneak - 100 Spectral Thief - 175 Spirit Shackle - 160 Raises Attack by 1 stage: Curse (Used by non Ghost-type) Raises Special Attack by 1 stage: Confuse Ray, Nightmare Raises Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed by 1 stage: Trick-or-Treat Fully restores user's HP: Curse (Used by a Ghost-type), Spite User becomes the center of attention: Destiny Bond, Grudge Pokemon Appearances: -5 rp posts are required, then roll an 4-sided dice. 	Freddy stood up in the fog and took a step forward, tripping up he opened his eyes to find himself no longer on Route 2. He surveyed the area in hopes of seeing a familiar face, Kent or Hayes. He would have accepted his old school teacher from Blackthorn Preparatory. There was no-one. Soon enough, the fog cleared to reveal a new area for Freddy. Tombstones began to cut through the fog. Freddy now recognised the area he was in, it was Hau'Oli Cemetery. He scratched his head in confusion. He didn't remember walking in or even in a close proximity to the Cemetery. He had been moving up a slope towards the Pokemon Centre. "Well this is new to me" he declared. To who Freddy was declaring it to, he didn't know. From his bag he pulled out his notebook. This deserved documentation. Little did Freddy know at this point, he too was being documented from afar as a pair of sharp eyes watched him intently. ! 	The grass beneath Freddy felt soft. He perked up as he sifted it through his fingers. How did he get on the ground? The last he had checked, he had been looking around for any familiar faces. A thin fog still clung to the area, occasional tomb stones cutting through. "I don't trust this area one bit." he said, pulling a Pokeball from his belt, he unleashed Rowlet who settled atop Freddy's head. Giving it a poke in the belly Freddy looked up. "I need you to keep an eye out Owllie okay? Use that spinning head of yours and make sure we aren't ambushed. You got it?" Freddy asked. Owliver nodded. He didn't seem too perturbed by the whole situation which made Freddy wonder further whether or not it was all in his head. He wandered through the maze like structure of the cemetery, occasionally wandering into a wall that had been blanketed in fog. He approached one of the tombstones when he heard the voice calling out to him from afar. ! 	The voice was warm and familiar. "Alola cousin! Hows the journey going?" Teddy asked. Ahead of Freddy stood his cousin from Johto named Teddy, he seemed exactly the same as the last time Freddy had seen him, when he visited the summer before last. Teddy stood behind a wall, waving. Freddy and Rowlet breathed a sigh of relief. "Finally a familiar face! Alola cousin!" Freddy said, giving the native Alolan greeting. "It's only just started really. I was about to go take on the first Trial Challenge with my friends Kent and Hayes! They're quite similar to the guys you mentioned in your letter!" Freddy exclaimed excitedly. "Righteous! Always good to travel with friends! Clive and Berty are super fun" Teddy said, his head bending back with laughter. Freddy returned the laugh, whenever he was with Teddy there was always guaranteed laughter. Then he stopped laughing. Who were Clive and Berty? ! 	Something was amiss with Teddy, Freddy just knew. "Clive and Berty? Who are they? I don't remember you mentioning them in your letter" Freddy asked. Teddy seemed taken aback by the question. "I'm sure I mention Clive and Berty didn't I? We've been travelling together since I started my journey" Teddy declared. Things were becoming fishier and fishier. The names weren't even close to the names he had given. Freddy and his dedication to the cause of uncovering all mysteries and conspiracies, decided to probe into this further. Placing his glasses onto his nose, he looked up and asked. "I'm just wondering Teddy. When are you sending over your Pokemon? Your letter mentioned they'd be in my PC Storage already" Teddy stuttered and scratched the back of his head. "I'm sorry cousin. There was a problem at the Pokemon Centre. I have them here, if you want them? Come over" Teddy said, holding out his hand. ! 	Teddy held out his hand towards Freddy. This was his cousin, they had spent many summers together, nothing was wrong. Almost in a daze, Freddy wandered towards Teddy, his hand held out. This definitely isn't right. I took a look at the Pokemon Centre and Teddy definitely sent over Wani-Wani and Sani-Sani over. Then there is the whole business of Clive and Berty. Not to mention the whole reason I'm in this Cemetery in the first place. Freddy thought, despite this he still continued forward. Teddy smiled crookedly as Freddy took what would have been his final step. "Come on cousin. Give your cousin Teddy some love" he wheezed. A flurry of leaves flew out from above Freddy, colliding with Teddy. It was Owliver, still sat atop Freddy's head. The leaves did not collide with Teddy, but flew straight through him, as though he were a mirage. Teddy disappeared and in his place was a Pokemon! ! 	Teddy's mirage faded and from behind the fog and wall was a Gastly! It's gas appeared to be the cause of Freddy's delusions and ease of acceptance that Teddy had a friend called Clive. "Gaaaaaaastly~" it bellowed, it's gas spreading across the area. Freddy held his arm out to which Owliver landed neatly upon. "Alright Owllie. Let's show this ball of gas whose boss. Attack the core! Peck!" Freddy said, unleashing Owliver from his arm and into the flight of battle. It swept down below before flying up toward the Gastly and unleashing a peck attack on what could have been called the head. The Gastly didn't like that and bellowed out another "Gastly Gaaaaaaas~" it stared intently at Owliver as it circled him overheard. Freddy wasn't sure what it did but he had no time to find out. "Peck it again!" Freddy shouted, Owliver dive bombed from above and pecked the Gastly again. It cried out and disappeared into the fog once more, it didn't seem like it would return. Owliver landed back on Freddy's arm. "That could have ended badly couldn't it? Thank goodness you were here Owliver" he said, rubbing it's cheek. A Wild Gastly Appeared! 	Freddy was taken aback by what he had just encountered. Mimicking a family member so perfectly. He took a seat on one of the labyrinthine walls of the cemetery. What did he know? They could replicate the appearance of anyone perfectly but when it came to the memories, they were about as misty as the cemetery they were sitting in. It appeared that the Gastly knew of Teddy having two friends, but their names were just picked out from thin air. Why would a Gastly do something like that? He knew they were tricksters, but he just expected visions of Mr Mimes or Spinarak. That was when the thought struck him. Was the Gastly working alone? Freddy leaped from his spot on the wall. Was there someone else behind this? Someone else who had been using the Gastly for their own needs? So many thoughts were rushing through his head at that moment that Freddy didn't notice the figure standing in the shadows of the forest. A Wild - Appeared! 	Freddy was in deep thought and paced further into the cemetery. Owliver was sat upon his head, turning it's head back to watch as the entrance to the area drifted further and further away. No amount of ruffled feathers and pecking would distract Freddy from his thought process. "Yes. You were always one to be easily lost in his thoughts Mr Chaucer" a voice said, fading in. Freddy snapped out of his thoughts immediately, muscle memory from a time where a piece of chalk would have normally collided with his head. He took his glasses off and turned to face the person he stood behind him. There she stood, as gaunt as ever. It would have seemed that Freddy's homeroom teacher at Blackthorn Preparatory would have blown over in a breeze, but Freddy knew better at how much Mrs Clark could stand up to. She had a pair of glasses, one mimicking the shape of the sun, whilst the other sat as a half moon. Thinking back, Freddy recognised a similar design on a Team Skull Grunt he had once ran into. 	It appeared that Mrs Clark looked exactly as she had appeared the last time he had attended her class in Blackthorn. Along with her glasses, her hair was in the classic highly strung bun, perched atop her head and held together by what looked like a pair of scissors, but was just an elaborate hair ornament. "Mrs Clark. I should have known that you were behind this. You never gelled with the Alolan way of life that I showed off at school" Freddy said, pointing an accusatory finger. Mrs Clark held her hand up to her mouth and chortled shrilly. "When I heard you were on for the challenge to become the Champion of Alola. I knew it was my duty as your teacher to quash those dreams" he sneered. Freddy had been used to this kind of treatment. Clark's homeroom was a place of strict rules and regulations. Young Boy Bones had once forgotten to do up the top button on his shirt and Freddy hadn't seen his childhood companion for a week. Bones never seemed the same afterwards. A Wild - Appeared! 	Freddy gritted his teeth. It was as thought he was back to being a child with her looming over him with her lean and skeletal frame. The sound of her heels chiming against the ground made his skin crawl. "The spirit of Alola takes much more than your venom to destroy it Clark! I just needed proof to reveal it was you!" Freddy declared. Mrs Clark's top lip curled in disgust as Freddy revealed that he he always known it was her. "Despite that free spirit of yours, you always did have a high intellect for an Alolan. But did you show your working?" he asked. Freddy nodded and pulled out his notebook and waved it in front of his face. "Who do you take me for? Of course I did!" Freddy said. Mrs Clark held out her hand. "Well don't waste my time. Hand it over!" she cawed. That was all the evidence that Freddy required, her hand had been played and it was time to show his own hand. 	Freddy chuckled, drawing back his notebook and putting it back into his bag. He pulled out a glasses wipe and cleaned the lenses to his own thick rimmed glasses. "You know, you actually had me for a moment there. But I had to see if you took my bait!" Freddy declared. Mrs Clark stood back, aghast. Holding her hand to her chest she let out a shocked shrill gasp. "You dare to question my teaching methods boy?" she asked, to which Freddy replied with dramatic effect, as he pushed up his glasses back onto his nose he simply stated. "The real Mrs Clark would never ask for my work book" he readjusted the glasses up onto the bridge of his nose. "She would have just taken it!" Freddy shouted, pointing his accusatory finger once more. Mrs Clark hopped back in shock."Owliver! Hit her with a Leafage!" Freddy cried out. 	Freddy wanted to be surprised when he saw the mirage of Mrs Clark, but when it disappeared to reveal a Zubat flying haphazardly in the air, he was not too surprised. Freddy had always taken Mrs Clark for a blood sucker. He was surprised that it wasn't a Gastly, which made Freddy question what was really going on with his current situation. Rowlet looked ready for battle, but Freddy called him back. "I need you to keep lookout buddy. We'll let one of our friends out to play this time" Freddy said, pulling a Pokeball from his belt, he unleashed his Girafarig Cecil out into battle. It reared back on it's hind legs, raring for battle. "Welcome to the battle Cecil. How about we kick things off with a Confusion attack?" Freddy asked. Cecil's horns began to glow brightly as he prepared his attack before unleashing a barrage of light at the Zubat, hitting it square it did more damage than usual. It was its typing. The Zubat attempted to retaliate by astonishing Cecil but to no avail. With a swift tackle attack, the Zubat was down and out. A Wild - Appeared! 	The Zubat flew back into the forest, beaten. Cecil skipped over towards Freddy and nuzzled against his arm. Rowlet took this chance to hop back down to Cecil's tail. When he had encountered the Gastly, it had almost made sense to transform from such knowing Gastly's penchant for being mischievous, but other than the striking similarity to his old homeroom teacher, Zubat weren't known for their shapeshifting abilities. There was certainly something bigger at work in Hau'Oli Cemetery. He looked down at his Pokemon as though they might reply with some insight or wisdom into what was going on. All three (including Cecil's tail) looked at each and shrugged (as best they could.) Freddy scratched his chin. All of the ghosts had a rather personal connection to Freddy in some way. Teddy taught Freddy to live free as well as how to swim. Freddy wished he could swim and clear his head now incidentally. Mrs Clark had taught Freddy that just because somebody was in a position of power, that did not equate with being correct. He wondered who could possibly be next. A Wild - Appeared! 	It took a surprising amount of time for Freddy to be approached by the next apparition from his past. Cecil and Owliver still walked beside him as he brainstormed and conjured up a variety of theories and ideas relating to what was behind his bizarre experiences in the cemetery. Occasionally Freddy looked back across the fog at what would have been the entrance to the cemetery. He briefly thought about just leaving, if he could even leave. But his inquisitive mind meant that he had to see this through to the end. Who knew if him leaving meant this experience would end altogether? The options were weighed up. He definitely had to move on. He turned back to face the labyrinthine collection of walls ahead of him. Almost on cue, he heard footsteps from the bushes. Unlike the sharp heels of Mrs Clark entirely, these were soft and slow. Freddy pondered if they were deliberately slow as to build up tension within Freddy. Third times the charm, this one can't have been there. A Wild - Appeared!
