Much as Lana had tried to cheer Ducky up, it seemed the cheerful young man had a serious case of the dumps, and nothing Lana did was working. At least Ducky was kind enough to try not to let it show, but everyone saw through the act, even his own pokemon. "Ka lā is right," Lana gestured to Katsu. "I 'priciate you tryin' to put on a brave face an' all, but let's be honest—doesn't take a psychic to see that you're still upset." She nodded, frowning.
Ducky reluctantly seemed to agree, suggesting that they talk on the way to fighting Ilima. "Sure. I don't mind you taggin' along if you feel like it." She agreed, letting out Abigail. "You may wanna hitch a ride, the Alolan earth ain't always smooth. People in these parts use good strong pokemon like Abby here to get around." She patted the mudsdale's neck with a smile and scooted up to make room for Ducky. "Since we got time an' all.... Why don't ya tell me more about that not-friend of yours? You said he's throwing away his own happiness to keep a girl he likes safe, and that it's more complicated. Long road trips are good for explainin' complicated things. Maybe talkin' about it'll make ya sort stuff out. I mean, since distractin' yerself didn't work an' all." She suggested.

"So Champion of Kanto, huh?" Ajicka looked over to ZK's drawling voice as the man -- or pokemon -- gazed around at their surroundings while they talked. She'd called him up to meet in Alola, figuring 1] it was about time they figured stuff out, and 2] he'd probably appreciate the scenery. "Yeah, I guess. Anyway, it's been a while. What've you been up to?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest. ZK shrugged and swung his gaze back over to her. "Just.... traveling around and thinking over stuff," he replied back, his hands in his (illusion-based) pockets. She looked at him a long moment. ".... Like whether to be a pokemon or a trainer?" she replied back, turning to start walking.
ZK frowned, following after her with a slight scowl shadowing his face. "Pretty sure I made that answer clear...." he muttered. "Good, then you can train these guys. I'm getting some sleep," Ajicka replied back, taking off her pokeball belt, and tossing them back at him. He blinked, fumbling a little as he caught it, and came to a stop. "Feels like I was battling for years back there..." She stifled a yawn and headed into the pokecenter, leaving a baffled, and confused looking ZK behind her.

Dark blue eyes snapped open to stare intently at the ceiling. That had... been worth it, she felt. She wasn't 100% sure of just how much of that was really real, but given the rumors she had heard, she was fairly sure most of it had been. Other than maybe having her pokemon there-- after all, ZK had been training them, right? But Skia? And her Pachirisu? Good chance that they were really there, and that they really did talk, and made plans to meet up. Which was in.... Sinnoh, she was pretty sure. Valley works? Valley Windworks, but she was heading towards...
Ajicka sat up and rubbed her head, grimacing a bit. Veilstone? She was pretty sure that was right. Definitely something-stone.
Sliding off the bed, Ajicka stood up and stretched, and checked the time to see she'd only been asleep for an hour or two. It made sense.... time was probably distorted between the two worlds, but even so, it didn't feel like very much time had passed. Maybe a few hours, to walk her way to the mountains, make her way in, and talk with Skia. Either way, it left her puzzling over what to do next. On the one hand, she had pokemon to train. On the other hand, ZK had been instructed to train those pokemon. And she had really wanted to give herself more of a challenge. A team of one type. Maybe fire? She had two fire types already, after all. She had two dark types with her, too, if you didn't include ZK himself. Or maybe she could just give that team to him, let him train it, and get her own? Maybe she could do a rock-type team? They had weaknesses like no one's business, it would be a real challenge. And she could grab Omanyte from him to do so. Or... maybe she should start a little easier with her own challenge....

Ajicka ran through some ideas as she made her way down to get some food. She went through some of her books, realizing how long it had been since she did any sort of tactical thinking like this. She'd been so hellbent on her perfect team, and her journey to the Elite Four, that she hadn't really started fresh from a while. Technically, she still had Jas with her, and she wasn't sure she'd be able to really let him free for a while out of sheer nostalgia and victory pride, but she also knew he wouldn't mind the rest. He sure as hell deserved it. They had accomplished so much together....
A faint hint of a smile was on her face as she looked through things, but it disappeared, eventually, into her usual resting passive expression, and she moved for the computers. Her books were a little out of date-- she knew some more regions had opened up, that pokemon from them were drifting through other places, and she wanted to see what other items and pokemon she had access to.
Another hour or two passed with her reading up and forming her plan, before she bought up some snacks, and headed out to find ZK. Chewing some gum she'd picked up at the 'Mart, she strolled through the city, looking around, and making her way towards the outskirts where wild pokemon could be found. Thankfully, it wasn't too hard to actually locate the group, as she tossed her gum in the trash, and popped in a new piece. "Hey, how's the training going?" she called over as she approached. ZK turned, glancing over with a hard to read expression. "Fine, I guess. Though they all kind of... passed out at some point," he admitted with a frown. She mirrored his expression. "What, like they fainted during battle?" she asked, coming up beside him and looking down at the group. They had been scattered, but were quickly gathering around them as their trainer approached. "No, like... they outright passed out. One after another. I wasn't really sure what was going, but they woke up a few hours ago and we've gotten some training done while you were gone overall. Was actually gonna head back soon, but.... What?" ZK's eyes narrowed when he noticed the odd look on Ajicka's face, but the girl shook her head.
Honestly, she was, ahhh.... sort of wondering if she might have accidentally summoned her pokemon to the dream world when she imagined them there, and eyed Pancham in particular before brushing the concern off. Whatever, if that was the case then... at least the pokemon remembered everything? If it was true, that is. She turned back to ZK, ignoring his quesiton. "You guys probably need some food and rest, but I want to talk to you," she said, specifically pointing at ZK, before turning the way to lead them back into the city, and to the pokemon center, "I have a proposition." ZK turned to fall in pace with her, easily replying, "Yes, I'm single, but no, I won't date you." "Shut up. I'm talking about training," she replied, and ignored the way his expression sharpened in disapproval, "Not yours. Or, not you training. But, you training other pokemon." She gestured back to the pokemon walking behind them. "Pick three. They'll be your time. I'm going to get three of my own pokemon to form my own team. We'll take on two regions, you can get one, I'll get another, and we can train our individual teams up while the other battles a gym or whatever." ZK blinked, staring at her like he was trying to process that, before he narrowed his eyes some. "Yeah... okay. Why separate regions, though?" he asked slowly. She rolled her eyes. "Because you're not a registered trainer? You'll have to battle the gyms under my registration, essentially, and the badges will go to my name. Don't worry, though... I wouldn't battle the Elite Four without going up against the gym leaders as a 'rematch' with my own team," she replied back, smirking just a little at the idea of sweeping another league. ZK looked less impressed. "Well, that's so good to know..." he replied sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

Ignoring ZK's sarcasm, Ajicka swept into the pokecenter and lead the way to the cafeteria. She got her pokemon, and ZK, some food, before dropping into the booth and pulling out her books. "Here's a book with information on most of these pokemon. Only Pancham isn't in there, but I'm sure I can tell you most of what you might need to know. In case you wanted to strategize when choosing your pokemon," she said. She noticed the way that ZK was eying her, but she ignored it, popping her gum and looking through another of her books to review her decisions. Only when she saw a total lack of movement on his end did she finally glance up. "... Want me to pick for you?" she asked, half threatening to get him moving as she raised an eyebrow. ZK's brow stitched together, before he looked away. "I dunno..." he replied. She opened her mouth to retort, but somehow, she actually picked up that there was something going on with him. She closed her mouth.
Then she sighed.
"Yeah okay, fine. But I gotta go pick up some pokemon of my own, so... start organizing your choices. Once I get them, I'm going to be switching some of yours out, until we're fifty fifty," she replied, looking back to the book. ZK gave her a strange look, probably trying to figure out who else she had active at the moment, given she'd only given him five pokemon. She didn't respond to the gaze, though, and instead let him sink back into thought, and let her pokemon eat. She already had a chosen destination to get the first pokemon on her very short list. As soon as they were done here, she wanted to head out to get it. ZK would have the trip there to think about it, and then some. After all... she'd just switch him out of his active party first....

Back on their way to the ship, it seemed they were indeed heading towards the next island. Sylva turned her gaze to Luca with her normal pout. "Makeover, what's that suppose to mean?" Dropping her hands to her hips she tried her best to scowl, but quickly went back to simply crossing her arms. Like she could even amuse the notion of intimidating Luca. Not with her current body. Well, her other body wasn't very intimidating either. As for which body she preferred... she wasn't sure. It would be nice though, to know if it was permanent or not. Though the question did come to light as to whether or not the guards of the cruise would take notice. These sorts of cruises had hundreds of people boarding and unboarding that they likely wouldn't think twice about seeing Luca with a different girl, besides she had her room card, which didn't have photo id. Aside from her appearance her name was still the same, just to be sure though it would probably be a good idea to slip in with a crowd boarding if possible.

[color#F62817]"What do you think it means?" The harsh expression only seemed to amuse the taller trainer, one of her hands reaching over to lift the thick locks on Sylva's head. If anything, she'd done the opposite of intimidation. "Different hair, different face, and a whole different figure. I don't know how you'd even pitch a rock-induced remodeling on a brochure." The young woman returned her hand to her side as they made their way back into town, port visible from where they were entering again. "...Well, I guess we should be fine anyway. Not like we introduced ourselves or got too familiar with the other passengers. I might get a few odd looks but it probably won't be any different from the trip here."
It was still impossible to know what the strange stone that transformed Sylva even was, let alone find out if the effects were permanent. Unless they had someone to ask about it they weren't gonna know until Sylva changed back... Preferably in private. Luca didn't want to think of trying to explain themselves if the girl returned to her old self at the dinner table or something. On that thought, the swordswoman gave one, quick glance towards the setting sun, watching the amber light shimmering across the ocean dim ever so slowly as they made their way down to the pier.
Fortunately, a crowd to slip into was just what they found at the docks. She recognized some of the tourists that filled the vessel along the way, at least half having seemingly abandoned their rigid dress code for more tropical attire, one pair even outright donning the kind of tacky, novelty Alolan shirts that seemed synonymous with vacationing tourists. Luca still stood out in the crowd thanks to her preferred equipment, but the swimsuit at least fit in with the rest, and a cursory glance as as they boarded the ship gave the woman the impression that Sylva went largely unnoticed. At least as far as looking out of place was concerned. Once on board, all that was left to do was set their stuff back down, grab some food, and wait out the journey to their next destination.

Sylva's cheek puffed up at the sword-woman's comment. Yea, she got a new pair of everything. Truth be told, the change in appearance was really a blessing in disguise. While Sylva didn't want to admit the change was kind of perfect, along with the whole region jumping twice she was... running away from her past with success. Some would be so lucky. Even still, did she had to be... this cute? Tiffany would likely laugh and call her 'kawaii' nonstop. Luca certainly seemed amused by it all. Still, this did once more bring up the rock that caused all this. Sylva shook her head, she wasn't going to admit defeat on her frustration just yet. Gazing up at Luca the fem nodded. "True. Let's just hope it stays that way." She continued.
Not long after, the city came into view, as did the pier where the ship was docked. A plethora people who'd gotten the same idea to re-board waited in a thick line to get up the various ramps back to the ship. Luca and Sylva didn't even have to join a line on purpose as they were pretty much swept up in the crowd. Even someone without a ticket at all could of likely got themselves on with relative ease. When they were finally back on board, it seemed the people were all heading towards the dining halls, it was likely dinner time around now. The sun sinking below the horizon was a tell-tale sign. "Well, might as well join the current and get some food while it still exists." Sylva voiced, intentionally pushing herself into Luca. She for whatever reason found herself fighting the urge to simply grab Luca's hand or at the very least her arm. Hopefully they didn't get separated.

Luca was still oblivious to Sylva's circumstances, able to think only of how the change in appearance might complicate their present situation. Fortunately though, it didn't seem that they had anything to worry about. By now all the passengers were too preoccupied with themselves to notice them and too casually dressed to fuss about their own attire. The swordswoman simply nodded along when her companion suggested they get a head start on dinner. "Yeah, you're probably right. Be better to fill up before they open the bar anyway, the last thing we want..." The young woman trailed off as she felt the ex-redhead's weight pressed against her, looking down at her with mild confusion. "You alright, Sylva? That rock ain't wearing off now ain't it?"
Despite her worries the two wouldn't have a chance to stop even if something was happening. They had to keep moving to avoid bumping into people or being knocked around in the crowd, guided by the flow of traffic. Lucatiel simply wrapped her arm around Sylva's shoulders and followed at pace, keeping them together until they finally reached the dinning hall.
Uneventful as the trip might've been, the motion of the crowd masked their journey to the dinner table, Luca hardly thinking beyond the crowd until she emerged with a plateful of a hardy meal. One much, much smaller than her previous one, but with only one arm then at her disposal she gathered as much as she could. The hold and its maintenance was rather habitual, so unless Sylva made her she wouldn't think to break away until they finally found a clear table to settle down at.

Being a teen-sized woman aside Luca it was easy for Sylva to get pushed around, and it didn't help that Sylva wanted to restrain from grabbing on to Luca physically, thankfully, and a bit embarrassingly, Luca reached a arm around to hold onto Sylva. It helped, she wasn't being pushed around as much. Eventually they got to the dinning hall, and filed into the banquet line. Sylva piled up her plate with as much as she could, from what looked good. When they finally found a table, which they were lucky to find one in the end. "Least the food on this cruise looks good." Sylva finally spoke up, taking a forkful of what appeared to be some sort of cooked potato. She gave it a few blows before she shoved a good portion into her mouth. It was really good. The potato mushed in her mouth and it's spices were really well balanced. It was a tough still to hot, so the first bite wasn't savored long before she had to force herself to swallow it. Poking fun at Luca's appetite, the woman mentioned ordering room service if she got hungry later. Sylva replied with a small grin and went back to cutting up her potatoes into smaller bites as to easily mush them up and swallow while they were still warm. She quickly moved to her meat of choice, one soaked in juices, it was a toss up between being chicken or fish, but a quick bite confirmed the dish as Chicken. Quite delicious it paired very well with the potatoes. Surprisingly her food was done quickly. As filling as it was, Sylva didn't particularly feel full. She might take on the same idea of room service as Luca, though... as the duo sat and ate, Sylva could feel the grip of sleepiness passing over her. The Ac of the ship and the gentle breeze that passed with the waiters and busboys passing reminded her of the warm sun they'd traveled around in throughout the day. The sun outside had finally went down, meaning by the morning they'd be back out at sea. Off to the next island it seemed. "Well, I'm ready to return to the room, if you are." After all their marching and the strangeness of the day, it was rather refreshing to finally sit down and just enjoy a good meal. This little cosmic fart was pretty cute. Azalea's tastes were a little more in the toxic and deadly department, but she knew this clump of stardust was special. Alex's pokedex confirmed as much when he opened it to show her he'd been talking to Darren. She knew the cosmog had to have come from space, but another world entirely? That was something that piqued her interest. Just like the UBs.... She thought to herself. Maybe this thing could be of use to her after all. If that was the case, she would have to keep Alex close. Not that she had any plans to leave him before, but now that she knew Alex and Darren were... Friends? Whatever relationship they had, she hadn't missed the way Darren looked afraid for Alex's life once he realized that she was with him. What a bother....
"Yeah, I'm glad you met your old pals again. Were you telling him about fluffy?" She asked casually. Azalea had no doubt someone like Alex probably would have a hard time keeping his mouth shut about this. Which was... Fine, she supposed. But... Knowing how annoying Darren could be... If he found out Alex had a cosmog, then he might try to do something stupid, like pretend to be the hero. She would have to make sure the little heir knew his place.
Azalea's attention turned back to Alex as he tried to get the cosmog into a ball. Fluffy allowed itself to be captured, at least, but much like the noodle in his clothes, it seemed to want to stay out. Not that Az could complain; she preferred it this way. It gave her more opportunity to study Fluffy. "So... The cool thing about Alola is that there's space rocks all over the place. The thing is, the easiest way to get em is you have to do these competitions or whatever called 'trials'. I guess they're alright." She shrugged. "Anyway, the first trial is through this city and over off of Route 2 in a place called Verdant Cavern."
She felt like a damn tour guide now. Was this really what she'd been reduced to? Well, whatever. It was fine as long as Alex actually helped her gather the dimensional shards. She turned to walk backwards in front of Alex while still facing him. "Once we get them, I guess we can just give em to Fluffy here and see if--" She instinctively reached out to poke the cosmic poof and give it another tickle, but it seemed this time the poke provoked a strange reaction, and suddenly Azalea felt herself teleported away briefly to a space she had never seen before with a GIGANTIC pokemon, landing a hit before being returned to Hou'oli.
Her eyes were wide as she was returned, watching Fluffy carefully. That was dangerous, even for someone like her. It seemed she was safe now though, for the time being.
"Yeah, I was really happy to see them. They were my first friends I made. Aside from Patches and Roxy and Chica and Moon Pie and Gusher of course." He paused to think, but yeah, he hadn't met Noodles until after he met Sable and Darren and Jin. "I sent Darren a picture. I hope he shows Sable and Jin too," he mused aloud.
As they left the boat and entered the city, Alex walked with Fluffy in his arms, and Noddle...somewhere under his clothes. Chica had let herself out, trailing behind them before dashing out ahead to check out something that caught her interest.
"Trials? That sounds like work," Alex groused. Space rocks sounded cool, but he didn't want to be put on trial or anything. But then. Then. Az said where it was. "Verdant cavern?" How could anything be lame if it took place somewhere with a name that cool!? "I'm in," he said very seriously, in a mock-rough voice that he thought was what a Very Important Businessman would sound like. "And the space rocks. What do they do? Can I eat them?" Please say he could eat them.
Oh, well, she said they could give them to Fluffy. He supposed that Fluffy deserved to have tasty snacks too, and that was worth the effort. Alex heard Fluffy make a little giggle-poof noise when Az poked him, and then the were- not here? Not there? From what Az was saying, Fluffy had somehow moved them somewhere else? Alex was more focused on making sure Az was okay. She was telling Fluffy to take them back, but the cosmic floof seemed to be enjoying her panic. "Fluffy?" he asked, and there was a request in there. And then they were back in Hau'oli. Alex scritched Fluffy under the chin in thanks.
"Wow, that was pretty crazy huh? Fluffy are you jealous about Az being such a good guide?" he joked, pretending he didn't notice Az's distress. If she was anything like his mom, she wouldn't appreciate him drawing attention to it.
