Laini had left his daughter and granddaughters earlier that day. He had spent several hours with them and knew he had been pushing his luck. If he stayed soo long the chance that one of the Abaholi or Inselelo found him things would get ugly fast. He would have to le them drive himoff or fight for a position he didn't want. He only wished to visit his daughter and his mother, if he could find the chirpy huntress. Naja could be gone for days when she was working and was always a difficult one to track down. Finding his daughter had two daughters of her own had been a huge shock, but now he felt so very pruod he thought he might burst.
However, the oride was in a dire situation and Kala, and her two cubs, were on the verge of starving. So Laini had left them and come out to the very edge of the pridelands's furthest boarder in order to try and find something for his family to eat. Lifting his head he sniffed deeply, seeking any sign that there was something edible out here.
