It hadn't been long since Dagny and her mother had returned home with some loot and a thrall to help her out. She had had some good luck on that viking both with loot and with ingredients. A few of the plants she had brought back for her side hobby went well with the mint on a nice hunk of meat. Unfortunately, though she had also brought back this plant with her to garden here at home, it wasn't going very well. It didn't seem to like their climate… She was skulking on the border before a planned viking. She had been excited to hear that her second one would be soon, and she could go with her son if he wanted to join her in her band for his first viking! Though, she wasn't sure he'd go for it… He might prefer instead to be more independent, and that was fine by her either way. Merker was a full-grown lion now, and one to be proud of, like all of her cubs!

But that viking wasn't for about a week, and in the meanwhile she was preparing herself. Today, she was doing so by wandering out to the very edge of their territory, looking to defend from attackers if need be or to battle hopeful rogues for their future freeborn status. Or to continue wandering with nothing happening at all. Whichever comes first.

The large, grey male stretched himself out, his tongue rolling out as he yawned at the same time. He rubbed his nose with his paw afterwards.

As far as he knew, Ele was near the Viking pride. He'd seen them come and go, but he often avoided them all together. He didn't want to be a bother to their pride. He did go near the borders, but he never crossed into their territory. At least that he knew of.

Today, however, he had been watching a battle rage on. Sometimes that seemed to happen. Some sort of initiation into the pride. Proving your strength if you won against one of their guards. It was a fascinating concept. Especially when you were from a pride that prided itself on staying hidden and secretive in the mists that used to gather not too far from here.

The battle Ele watched was impressive, but short lived. The rogue who challenged lost and was denied access. However, Ele kept watching the border for whatever reason and blinked when he spotted a new female come out. He.. hadn't seen her before.

Was she part of his old pride? Her colors definitely matched, but she looked like she was... built wrong. She looked bigger than most of the females he had encountered. Still, he was intrigued. He'd stepped forward, out of hiding to get a better look at her, green eyes peering from a distance.

Dagny continued to pad out and away from her pride's lands and turned her eyes from the ground not too far away from her to the horizon, where she thought she spotted something… Was it her brother, Tollak? It couldn't have been Stig, he wasn't a reaver and wouldn't be this far out… But, really, upon squinting at the figure there, she didn't see brown on it, so it couldn't have been. Either way, even if it was one of her brothers, she supposed he needed to be investigated.

Dagny turned from vaguely his direction to straight towards him. She had never come across someone on a border patrol before, challenger or otherwise. She supposed she should ready herself for a fight. She sighed as she picked up her pace and collected her thoughts. She had been training for these sorts of things most of her life. Her mother taught her well, her brother Tollak even moreso, with him chewing on her from time to time growing up. Stig had never really picked on her much but maybe he had taught her something of use in this situation too! She needn't worry too much, though. She had indeed become a reaver, she was tough as nails and she did enjoy a good fight. Ears forward and eyes on the outsider, she trotted towards him.
