I'm here. I moved across the state for my internship. It isn't exactly what I was hoping for, but some of the roughness is likely just because it's the first week. I got my produce job transferred to the store over here as well, and it's shitty. The facility itself is way better than my old store, but the people suck. Huge culture shock all the way around. New city, new rules, two new jobs, new lifestyle, new everything.
My week is slowly getting better, though. My sweetheart is helping me through it by texting with me a lot every day, and he's planning to make a day trip over in a couple of weeks when we can both get the day off. I'm so excited for that. whee heart
I feel like such a girl, damn. LOL

Yeah, culture shock sucks. And it sucks even more when you go from working with a bunch of really cool and fun people to a bunch of sucky people. Hopefully they just suck because you're new and they haven't warmed up to you yet. Hopefully everything gets better soon. But at least you got your sweetie pie there constantly talking to you and providing emotional support and you'll be able to see him soon, so that's something.

Sounds like quite a lot to take in all at once, that's for sure.

I come to you with a few steps in your time of need that have been known to solve almost any problem for at least a few minutes.
Step one : Locate ice cream. Step two : Locate spoon. Step three : Abandon spoon and obtain fork because everyone knows ice cream tastes better with a fork, Step 4: Re-locate ice cream to your stomach for safe keeping.

Zphal Yes, it's true! Less metallic taste. smile Of course, you're assuming that one is usually a metal utensil. Maybe they're using a plastic one... or wood... or maybe even stone. whee
