Kizuka yawned widely, deadly sharp fangs glinting pale and white in the sunlight before snapping shut with a resounding clack. Glancing over at the pale figure of her thrall she watched as Kiso obediently went about gutting and skinning the herdbeast Kizuka had killed earlier. The dark reaver usually hunted for her own food, and shared it with her thrall. Kiso was useless as a hunter, which was why Kizuka had rescued her from the roguelands in the first place, the pale pink and grey lioness had been starving slowly to death. However, she was brilliant at dressing the carcass and preserving the pelt, a skill Kizuka herself did not possess nor had the patience to try and learn.
Currently she was laying out in the warm sun while Kiso dealt with her kill. They were some distance from the pride's heart, up near the cliffs where Kizuka preferred to stay while within the pride's landholding. She had little patience for idiots and there were more than a few brain-addled lions in the pride, most of them reavers who had taken one too many blows to the head. It annoyed her for another reason too, for so few of them had the smarts she sought, as she was currently looking for a suitable male to mate to her Kiso.
Across the small flat area from the dark reaver, Kiso herself was entirely unaware of her Mistress' thoughts, content in her task as she carefully pulled the skin from the body that lay out before her with her teeth and used a single sharp claw to carefully separate it from the flesh underneath. Kizuka wanted a new fur for their den and had tasked Kiso with skinning her kill. Not only was Kiso to skin the body in such a way as to preserve the coat, but the meat was to be saved also. Neither of them were currently hungry, but Kizuka expected to have the meat for their dinner later in the day. Glancing up from her work she smiled adoringly at her Mistress, not at all bothered by the answering scowl she received before she bent back to her task.
