The Arena is Simplistic. A flat terrain which offers no overall benifits to either party. A typical coliseum arena like rumble with a single statue. Not unlike the Chunin Exams.

Axel stood in the center of the circular arena with one arm against his chest, his right arm rested over the left, his thumb and index finger rubbed against a pitch black metal rod. It was oddly cold to the touch, it always was, and he could never quite get used to it, but it was calming to say the least. “Toso.” He called out for his old friend. He hated the fact he would have to fight him of all people for a promotion, but in times like these, he wouldn’t have any choice. “Come out so I can end this quickly.” He stopped stroking Iron Decree and went to crossing his arms, he wasn’t about to make the first move against the squid boy, or man was more accurate, he was five years older than the red head. He broke his arms apart only to bring the palms of his hands together. Iron Sand began to crawl out of the stone on his necklace. It crawled down both of his arms, forming a three foot long blade on one hand, and a kite shield on his left. He let out a grin before smacking the shield with his sword. “Come on, Toso, these people deserve a good show.”

"Bloop Axel-nii I've been waiting for this, my arsenal has gotten quite colorful since you've last seen me." Toso would perform the metronome like waving of his arms as he usually did...his cheeks would then inflate he'd then vomit downward at his feet as his own ink drenched him shooting upwards. The colors were a distinctive blend of purple and grey. Toso would shine a metallic sheen as if he had coated himself in something metallic, but it didn't stop there. An aura of chakra also coated his person his muscles seemed stronger and his eyes sharper. The Hojo clan had many tricks up their sleeves when it came to their inks something Axel would have to be ready for. After the coating Toso would use the small brush at his side as he began to draw a smiley face in the air in front of him seeming like a jest or taunt. Toso would then shoot a salute of readiness at Axel.

The redhead’s face hardened at the show of all the ink, and the smiley face ticked him off, classic Toso, never taking anything serious. His face hardened more into a cold frown. “Confidence is the hallmark of a good warrior my friend.” The ink was covering part of his body, but he knew better than to get close to an opponent he did not fully understand. Axel smiled lightly and sliced at the air, turning the sword and shield into a bow and arrows, twenty three arrows were made in total from that one maneuver. He put twenty two of the twenty three on his belt, but kept one at hand. His hand erupted with his black chakra, he prepared the arrow on the bow and pulled back on the string. He pulled back on the bow string and then released it. The arrow ripped through the air with great speed, flying straight for the man’s face. He pulsed chakra on to his hand and as soon as he released the arrow he reached for his belt and pulled a second arrow. As the Chunin’s hand flew from his waist to the bow, he jumped back to open more distance between Toso and himself. Axel let that arrow fly, and then a second, the first aimed from his stomach, the second, for his right leg. He lowered his right hand and hovered it over the arrows on his hip, fully expecting his first attack to do next to nothing to him and preparing for his next move.

What seemed to be a harmless smiley face continued to linger on the battlefield. Toso eyed the arrows but showed little concern as the first arrow knocked seemed weak. He'd allow it to connect as it was revealed that Toso's coating wasn't just for show but was the equivalent of a thick shielding. It was then that the other two arrows came into vision. Toso seemed oddly calm Axel seemed to be testing his defenses. They shot through the open spaces of drawn smiley face. Toso would react by contorting his body. He couldn't make it too obvious how strong his defences were. The two arrows would glean off his body in barely missed instances. If he weren't so shelled they might've inflicted wounds.
"Axel-nii I'd like to warn you as a friend. I am being one hundred percent serious." Toso would remove a scroll from the inside of his coat. Axel's distance would provide optimal time to execute the following maneuver. Toso would unravel the scroll on the floor he'd then press his foot against it. Suddenly a torrent of water began shooting outward as the entire coliseum floor began to flooding with water. The squid was making himself more at home it seemed. Toso would then look to the ceiling above. He'd inhale deeply and then release a torrent of pink ink covering nearly the entirety of the cieling while the stray drops landed in the water. If Axel happened to get any of these tiny flecks on him he'd find it being a little sticky like taffy or sugar but it would prove to be annoying instead of detrimental. The floor was now mixing with with the ink becoming shades of blue and pink.

He then performs the required hand seals and then taps his foot in the middle of the scroll, which summons a large amount of water that covers a wide area which, with the right timing, can be used against a Lightning Release technique; Shikamaru used this to channel Kakuzu's Lightning Release: False Darkness back at him. "It would appear you are, Toso.” He frowned once more as water began to flood out of the stroll. That damned squid. Somehow Axel wasn’t all that surprised he would pull something like this, it seemed the squid kid was now in his home territory. As a land and, more importantly, air lover himself, he did not like this one bit, much less with those pink flecks now all around the water. He would have to keep in mind to avoid those. He never stopped moving away from the squid though, he was banking on the fact that he was a swordsman, range would be his saving grace against him, but he seemed to appeal more to his inky nature than anything else at this point. Regardless of this though, Axel had a pretty good idea of how to deal with his squid friend. First, he would calm his breath, remaining stationary if only for a brief moment, but long enough to have the first particles of water reach his side of the battle field. Then, he would pump his upper body with chakra in a fashion similar to what he did with the full draw, but oh boy would Toso get a nice surprise from this, should it work. Axel would pull two arrows from his waist, throw the first one aimlessly above him, focus chakra on this first arrow but weakly throwing it. With its speed and trajectory, it could be easily judged that it would either land shy of Toso’s feet, or maybe land on his foot, if anything, but what he did not know, was that the arrow was full of Axel’s chakra, infused with the immobilize Uwame technique; realistically, he didn’t need the arrow to hit Toso, he just needed it to land close to him. “Damn it.” Axel said, feinting frustration at his weak draw. Without looking up, Axel shot his left hand in the air and caught the arrow that was now falling, and also charged it with his chakra and launched it, this time aiming high, flying above the Squid Shinobi, with the highest part of its arch being right on top of him. “I guess sometimes you just throw ‘em too high. I’m still getting the hang of this…” He’d protest loud enough for Toso to hear. Just as he’d say that, the high flying arrow would release twenty chakra arrows which would rain down on the Squid’s current position, hopefully with enough strength to shatter his armor. By this time the water also splashed gently against Axel’s feet.

Veteran: The user pumps Chakra into his or her muscles, granting an incredible boost in strength that lasts for five of the user's posts. During this time, the user may fire all types of bows without hindrance.
Immobilize : The user fires an arrow filled with Chakra. When this arrow hits something, it immobilizes any living creature within ten meters for two of the user's posts, or five of the user's posts for anyone directly hit by the arrow. Immobility can be overcome by exerting a B-Rank amount of Chakra.
Targeted Rain : The user fires an arrow over a target. At the top of its arc, the arrow suddenly launches 10-20 Chakra arrows directly downward, each one with a C-Rank amount of force behind it.

Ah Axel. In truth he didn't know. Yes Toso was skilled in Bukijutsu but his strength was one that came from meticulous strategy and planning steps ahead. The farther a person is the the more time is provided for such plans to come into fruition, the more time a person had to think. These arrows, the farther they were the longer their travel time and Toso having already witnessed attacks from a distance was expectant of more. The arrows would fly but Toso's brush was already glowing with chakra being molded. Axel had skill and efficiency but there was no surprise at least not one he'd be subjected to. He had no need for hand signs. His brush was the conduit. With the stage set and Toso's sharpened reflexes Axel would have to watch as the man dissipated into water fusing with the waters below moments later the arrow meant to pin him landing near where he once was.
Perhaps he hadn't considered it but the flecks of pink ink in the water shouldn't be his concern. Rather there would now be something else lurking in it. The distance between the roof and himself was indeed far but...that was just what the squid hoped he'd think. Suddenly the water would tremble beneath Axel. The Chakra arrows splashing haplessly where the squid boy was literally tearing the ground asunder with added efficiency. Then more trembling? His arrows would have finished their assault but...He would then be met with a resounding "Surprise Axel-Nii! Bloop!" Eight large aqueous tentacles erupted beneath Axel like a flower blooming to destroy his footing. It's rising impact was full with intent to catapult Axel into the ceiling. If the surprise assault was successful depending on which way he was facing Axel would be reminded it was covered in a sticky ink and no doubt if he collided with it would wind up in a very 'sticky' situation. If Axel somehow evaded Toso would be smiling on the ground surrounded by his wall of tentacles, but hopefully Axel wouldn't be distracted by said smile which seemed almost sadistic in nature because the eight tentacles would be readily on route to ensnare, pummel, and fling him whether or not he had gotten stuck to the roof or not, and let's not forget the smiley face. If Axel wasn't being propelled up he'd be propelled forward straight into it's taunting construction where he would find it was more than just a pleasant drawing.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...
There were two unfortunate things that happened from the moment that Axel released his arrows. The first that that Toso completely dodged his master barrage of attacks. He was confident that this would be enough to bring the man to his knees, but Axel was sadly mistaken. The second unfortunate event stemmed from the first, and that was that the Squid Man did not just render the redhead’s attacks useless, but that his counter attack was so masterfully done, Axel had no real way of avoiding it. When those tentacles lashed from bellow him, Axel was launched into the air, but the boy wasn’t about to just hit the ceiling and fall back down to be at Toso’s mercy the whole way. He managed to recover half way to the ceiling, his fist tightened around his bow and spun in the air, blasting his chakra all over the room, focused specifically at the ceiling above him, and the ground bellow him. A cloud of Iron Sand rained down from the ceiling and stopped the Chunin from crashing into the concrete ceiling, and more importantly, from allowing gravity to do its work and drive him back down. Axel crouched in the Iron Sand cloud and waiting for a moment, catching his breath with one eye closed, trying to ride away the pain, or so he hoped that was what Toso would think. In reality, the young swordsman was buying enough time for Iron Sand to crawl near Toso as a result of the chakra he had blasted throughout the room. The metallic grans would suddenly lash out at his adversary from all sides, as well as from bellow. Should the Iron Sand get a hold of him, it would launch him upward just as what had happened to Axel just moments before. But unlike Toso and his tentacles, the Iron Sand would stick to him, crawling through his entire body until it was trapped inside an Iron Sand Coffin which remained suspended in midair. If all of this were to happen, Axel would shoot his right hand out and twist it slowly, causing the Iron Sand around Toso’s right arm and leg to tighten and twist. “Do you yield?” He would cry out, hoping he would not have to continue hurting his friend.

Technique Used:
Iron Lord’s Decree: By paying an amount of chakra, and Iron Sand, that varies, the user is able to create a weapon out of the Iron Sand that is stored within Iron Decree. This weapon is made up of individual grains of sand packed together, making it solid and fluid at the same time (the weapon is as hard as any normal weapon, with the added bonus of being Iron Sand). Katana: E Rank Chakra – 5 pounds, 4 feet long Sword and Shield - E Rank Chakra – 2 Pounds for the Sword, 5 Pounds for the Shield. Bow & Arrow: E Rank Chakra – 5 pounds – 3 Arrows are made upon creation. Creating more arrows costs a D rank amount of chakra, regardless of the number of arrows [Max. 20]; each arrow created drains half a pound. Veteran: The user pumps Chakra into his or her muscles, granting an incredible boost in strength that lasts for five of the user's posts. During this time, the user may fire all types of bows without hindrance.
Satetsu Soushi [ Iron Sand Creation ] : The act of converting earth and/or metals into iron sand, via a single handsign, and chakra compression. Iron sand created this way can then be used on the spot, or stored for a later time. It should be noted that iron sand can be melted by fire techniques at least two [2] rank higher than them. Atop that, iron sand that is almost, if not completely melted cannot be controlled by Satetsu bloodline means.
Satetsu Kyuu [ Iron Sand Coffin ] : The user will force iron sand to crawl up on their target. The sand will then wrap up and around, until it fully encases the target. As the sand encloses, it will apply a crushing amount of pressure, more than capable of grinding bones. Although it is almost an assured hit after it makes contact, it is a rather slow technique.
Satetsu Soushiki [ Iron Sand Funeral ] : After the target is wrapped within [ Satetsu Kyuu ], the user is capable of performing this finishing technique. Rather than being performed by handsigns, the user will aim their hand at the target, and clench it into a fist. This signal forces the iron sand to tighten its grip, causing it to magnify to a powderizing pressure that leaves its victim a bloody and disorganized mess of flesh and liquid.

Toso's eyes were not honed in color. The iron sand particles would have been able to hide within the waters and shift with little difficulty as they're contrast with the water would be difficult for the squid to ascertain. "Axel-Nii I'd being more careful I see." Axel was out of reach of Toso's tentacles thanks to the cloud he was using to maintain distance. Toso seemed to have a look a bit disheartened. That disheartened expression turned into what could have been a mild sense of surprise. Toso would find himself from being grounded to airborne. As grains began to cover his person but more specifically his right arm and leg...but something was odd. That was when Axel yelled if Toso was willing to yield. The Squid gave him a grin "Axel-nii I thought I warned you I was being one hundred percent serious." When he spoke it was almost creepy and sinister sounding. Axel's twisting of his limbs would cause very little in trying to make the squid say uncle. After all his entire body was designed to be twisted and contorted in even more wild angels. The pressure, if Axel fully went through with his executed sand burial, would cause both the murky steel colored ink and blood to spurt from Toso's limbs. It would have been apparent that Toso's Iron Blend had resisted a vast majority of the pressure but most likely buckled and broke from it. These two limbs of his would be injured but not mangled with broken bones as the typical sand burial would have been capable of. That was of course if Axel had the stomach to fully pressurize it.
With Toso's brush holding arm obscured Axel did something also to Toso's benefit. He wouldn't be able to see the chakra being channeled through it for Toso's following Genjutsu. Toso would vanish from his airborne state, gone as if in a flash of Shunsin. He would reappear behind Axel and Axel would feel a brief but sudden pain, time would seem to stand still, and a vision of an unholy amount of blood pouring out from what appeared to be a fresh cut on his neck, the emotions of being killed by none other than his friend in what seemed like cold blood to overwhelm his senses. As the vision of Toso with a sinister betraying smile uttered these words. "One hundred percent." This illusion would end but by the time it Did Axel would see a black dragon made of Ink would be inches away from him with a maw fractions of seconds to bite down in an explosive eruption of pressure and blinding ink. In these fractions of seconds he'd see Toso never left from his position. He was either falling back down to the wet ground below with his injured arm and leg or most likely on route back to the wet ground injury free if his Genjutsu broke Axel's concentration manipulating the iron sand before he could pressurize it. Either or Toso would give Axel the deviant smile of a trickster.

Structures vary from platforms that suspend in mid air, to large dome shaped barriers. This technique is comparable to the Kanboku Skill Ink Blade Edge. Seeing that his friend would not let up, Axel would continue to crush the squid man until he saw the red ink flow, immediately he stopped there, seeing as the man would want to continue this fight. He would have it no other way. “Very well then, Toso. I just did not want to hur-“ He said just as Toso seemed to vanish right before his eyes, followed by a sharp pain on his neck. His free hand shot up to grasp where he had been struck, presumably by the Squid. How could he have struck a killing blow? Were they not friends? A thousand questions like this rushed through the red head’s mind as his blood gushed from his neck. How could this be? He could not feel any hostile intent from the Squid Man, how could he aim to kill him like this? ‘There’s something wrong here… It doesn’t feel like he wants to kill me.’ Axel thought for a brief moment, realizing he was stuck in an illusion thanks to a neat trick from the Shigure Souen style, allowing him to feel hostile intents in the area around him. “Nice trick.” Axel said while still feeling pain coming from his neck. The blood rushed as well, but now that he knew it was all but a trick from his squishy friend. He saw an Ink Dragon flying toward him, and the Iron Sand letting his opponent go free. The Chunin would jump back, off from the cloud and pull the Iron Sand cloud with him, making it reshape into a sphere around him, blocking him from the incoming Ink Dragon and whatever effects it would have on his person. While inside the Iron Sand Sphere Axel would rub his neck and then look at his eyes, only to see the ‘blood’ fade, confirming Toso’s move was but a cruel jest, a way for the man to seal the deal against Axel. Once the sphere hit the ground, which would be right about the time Toso would, Axel transformed his bow and arrow into his handy dandy Katana, and with one slice into the air, he turned the dome around him back into the free flowing form of Iron Sand, but also gathering the Iron Sand that was around him, which needless to say, was a lot, without taking into consideration what had been used to bind Toso, and that which was at the other side of the arena. “Come here you.” Axel said, now very ticked off. He pulled his blade back, making Iron Sand that was behind Toso to erupt forward like a stream from diferent angles behind him. These wouldn’t hurt, their goal was to distract the squid man as Axel began his mad dash for him with a rather large cloud of Iron Sand flowing behind him.

Toso would have landed. He hurt but he wasn't the type to openly show it as the pain manifested itself in a sweat mark on his forehead. His arm leg, and clothes looked like they were sand blasted by a belt sander and the common brush that was in his hands at that time? Gone, crushed from the pressure. He looked up his attack met with a ball of iron. How ideal for him. he'd hoped it would have made contact but it was to no avail. It seemed Iron sand was certainly not something to be trifled with. The Squid boy however, wouldn't distract himself too heavily by this instead he'd use Axel's momentary lack of sight to his advantage again. Rather than spend time drawing his next brush Toso would make hand signs to conjure a clone is his place. The target of Axel's future assault which looked real in all manner of way would grab it's cloned Midori-Gumo and raise it defensively. Meanwhile the real Toso would leave a surprise behind it well hidden at obscure angles. Bubbles of sorts black with the insides swimming like serpents. Toso then, would sink into the waters below into a particularly pink patch. Axel would charge on the clone and once he got into range it would jump back detonating these two bubbles in an explosion of black to coat Axel in what would appear to be an innocent black ink.

Similar and not unlike Shunshin, this technique has a maximum usage of three times per battle. Combining the skill with the knowledge from water walking grants it's user the ability to slide,sled, or glide on their own ink.
ΦConstricting Blend 066 Rank A The ink will undergo alteration, however, rather than changing from its original black color, it will take on a "wrap and bind" characteristic. When this ink makes contact with any surface, it will begin to stretch and reel itself around the object. After entrapping its target, the ink will begin to bind and tighten, acting as if a boa constrictor; crushing bones and most anything else, to be honest.

The barrage of streams of Iron Sand that came from behind the clone knocked it around enough that it revered back to ink before Axel was even half way to the clone. He stopped dead in his tracks but was not going to remain standing still without an action in place; the Squid Man had done something like this before, hiding under the water, he couldn’t quite tell where he was, but there was one thing Axel did know, and that was that he was not about to be launched by Toso’s tentacles once more. He stabbed his Iron Sand sword on the ground, causing the Iron Sand that was coating the ground to rise, with the spot Axel was standing in as an epicenter, and cause a shockwave. The Iron Sand rose, like a wave, above the water, knocking anything in its path up, and then settled as a three inch mantle of iron over the water his opponent had created minutes ago. If Toso would have been knocked up by this move, it certainly would not have been enough to make him go airborne too high, a couple of feet at most, but if that was the case, Axel would slash at the air, sending a crescent slash from the cloud of Iron Sand that was floating parallel to him in his mad dash. If he managed to remain in the water and not be knocked up by Axel’s shockwave, he would jump out of the circle and stand two feet from it, expecting Toso to have to come out of the water for air eventually, like a seal in the artic, and here, at least for now, Axel was the bear.

He fell for it. Axel believed he had submerged into the water like had before, but not this time. With most of his iron sand concentrated below him, would he be prepared for what would happen next? Toso wasn't below...he was no seal. He was a falcon and his prey was below him and thus the element of surprise was on his side. The ink that stained the roof would be from where he emerged and Axel would discover this from the sounds of shearing air that was now incredibly close to him! A brush stained in red like blood with the head of not a brush but a spear. It was spinning, but not any kind of spinning it was a spin that harbored unfathomable momentum. If Axel used his iron sand he'd find it would show little of a match...for this spin was meant to penetrate such a defense!
If and when the spin would break through the brush with spear like tip would continue onward to tear through the cloth protecting Axel's stomach and while it might have lost some of its strength breaking through Axel's defenses it had the intentions of pushing him closer to the Jiraii inku Toso had placed. He'd find himself becoming overwhelmed by an unfathomable pain to cloud his thoughts. It wouldn't just be the point of impact that hurt but his entire body would succumb concentrating on this one sole point. The red ink bathed on the brushes spear shaped tip doing this. Of course this came at the cost of Toso disarming himself. He would cling to the roof with the basic art of tree climbing upside down and he was already preparing his follow up maneuver. For if he was moved close enough Toso needed only to perform the single handsign to detonate the mines constricting contents.

These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.

Among these being Staff, Polearms,Greatsword,Scythe,Whip and Lance while still retaining the benefits of a brush. The brushes bristles can be damaged but the own users chakra can be poured into it to repair the brush. (E-Ranked) However, this only applies to its bristles not the brush itself.

The drill trick was nice, but Toso would have to try much harder than that to get to him. He knew what a spinning projectile meant, it was meant to pierce through defenses, not simple to stab, this was the trick applied to one of his arrow techniques. His response was but a flick of his wrist, causing the little Iron Sand that floated near him to meet the projectile, not head on, but form the top, crashing against his brush and driving it to the iron floor. “Come on Toso, you can surely come here and fight me. Whatever happened to one hundred percent?” He taunted, hoping Toso would come down, regardless of what his opponent did though, Axel would just have to continue this game of wearing his opponent down slowly, he didn't have the advantage of his initial adrenaline to help him battle, and the combat boost from veteran seemed to be slowing leaving his muscles, now he would only have to hope that Toso would come down and face him in Axel's element, or he would have to continue this charade.
