"Come on." A lion, pelt of reds and black came out of brush speaking in hushed, rushed tones that were neither grumpy - simply urgent. Following him was a double, but where the red blazed bright a similar green pattern was. "Slow down. I don't see the need for urgency." The green companion was grumpy, his tones weren't as hushed, nor rushed, but quizzical.

The boys had left home and been travelling. Raised beneath a would be Queen and King, trifled with a God and seen more blood in their youth than most. Ahriman and Abbadon hadn't known what they'd encounter in the grandiose roguelands, but they imagined it would be something remarkable. Unfortunately that was not the case - in fact they had been chased, hunted and stolen from. The pair hadn't been readied to survive in the world they'd been left to. Fortunately they'd had the heart for cruelty, perhaps a gift from both parents. This gave them a kill or be killed attitude and often they got back what was stolen, chased away what had started a hunt and more.

"If you stay quiet we may, just may get away with our lives." Ahirman was assuming the worst of course. He had caught scent of pridal markings. Multiple lions had scouted a border that the brothers had stupidly stumbled upon and somehow, into. Just stepping foot within borders often left most mangled in their home land, the red lion was not sure what could possibly happen here, but he knew they'd be ill-equipped. "I sense you're over zealous imagination creeping to the front of your mind, brother." Abbadon, head high, eyes searching but he wasn't nearly as wary as his brother who had begun crouching. It was bothersome that they'd come to this.

"There must be a way to freedom."

The day had been slow so far for Korres. She took the pleasant day to scout the lands, making sure no one dared to cross the border of their pride. Still, she was bored. Kose was hovering above, scouting the lands as well from a higher vantage point than she could ever hope to reach.

The falcon doubled as her eyes in the sky. He was dependable and trustworthy. Probably one of the only that she could trust with her life so far. The bird had been with her since she could see, keeping his eyes out for her.

She was almost tempted to call him down.

Of course, that's when the dark falcon banked, fluttering down towards her. She hummed curiously, wondering if Kose was bored as well, or if he managed to spot something. The bird landed on her shoulder. "There's a pair of intruders near the border, Korres," He reported softly to her, his void a soft rumble as to not alert anyone near by.

The winged lioness hummed, quickening her pace and taking directions from the falcon in order to reach the sight of the disturbance.

Ahriman stopped in an unimpeded path, were his ears deceiving him? He lowered himself, not quite attentive to his brothers position until he felt a soft nudge accompanied by an 'oof'.

"Silence."

The word came out as a growl between clenched jaws. Sounds were inevitable during movements on such terrain, they may be small, but if one listened closely then most targets could be given away. The red lion listened hard, shushing his brother a couple more times. There was no way he'd be able to pin point a location, not with his companion.

"Ahriman, I don't hear a damn thing." The green lion growled in retaliation moments after trying to hear for himself. Abbadon had moments where he considered his brother overly analytical of situations. An astounding opposite to his bull headed ways. "Can we get a move on? You're beginning to act in an unsettling manner."

At this point he stood, no longer caring to cover himself or hide. Had something truly made a noise then the pair of them were doomed to begin with. At that point in time he had yet to be convinced they were even being tracked.

"Just there," Kose said softly. He didn't want to risk flying away and getting Korres noticed, so he settled onto her shoulder. She paused to listen. She could hear bickering, two males. She crept closer, noticing they looked quite similar as well.

She was silent, waiting and watching the pair. She gave a small hum that was lost in the sounds of nature around her. Perhaps she could just kill them, ambushing one and then battling the other. The green male looked cocky and over-confident. He could be taken down easily.

It was always the scared ones that had more fight. Still, the pride was small, and both looked like they could be strong and cunning with the right training. "What are you thinking?" Kose asked, and Korres shook her head softly, making her way towards the pair.

"Who goes?" She said sharply, loud and clear. She rather hoped to startle the pair - it'd be amusing to say the least.

"Oh Gods."

All emotions vanished and Ahriman stood confidently, though he was the more cautious of the two he felt he could handle himself. "You brandish quite a bit of confidence." He stepped from what little cover was left for the brothers. Abbadon stood at the left side, hind quarters region of his brother. He wasn't ready for the 'I told you so' glances he'd be receiving, not yet.

"If I may be so bold, where have we stumbled upon? It was not entirely our intentions to find ourselves in your company." Ahrimans eyes were unmoving. They stayed steady on the female that had beckoned out to them. As soon as she was in view he took notice of how she spotted them, a flight abled companion.

Abbadon continued his silence. He felt odd in these situations to begin with, not entirely anti-social, but not social enough to place himself in the middle. His eyes also stared, but seemed to settle more on the companion then anything. How interesting.. he thought to himself.

The bird sat and watched the pair, his wings fluffing up a little as he studied them. Their demeanor seemed to reverse in their presence and suddenly the bird was quite glad that Korres rarely ever attacked first. His focus remained on the green male as Korres engaged the other.

"Stumbled upon, hmm?" She asked softly. Kose clucked softly at the words, though his gaze did not leave Abbadon. "If you leave now, you may pretend like you were never here."

She gave them a single chance.

"If you do not leave now, I will have to kill you both." Her words were nonchalant, almost bored. They weren't the first she had killed to keep the lands around her home secret from trespassers.

Kose gave a small trill of agreement.

Hm.

He wasn't startled, alarmed or even frightened. The words paled in comparison to the colorful threats he was used to hearing from just his parents, he could not have imagined how much worse it got throughout the ranks into mongrel groups.

"Interesting options."

With the time given Ahriman took a moment to truly gaze upon the individual before him. She was petite, but not frail there was clearly muscle below that pelt. If she was taught well he wouldn't put being able to do severe harm to them past her. It would do them little good to under estimate even the smallest package. The bird threw him off though, to take on such a small companion? Though his usefulness was clear, sight from above was a good idea while scouting.

"Do you believe you can take us both on?" He asked. His words were merely curious, not threatening. Abbadon, the ever silent warrior, watched. Something about the bird was bothering him, would he fly off? Warn others?

"Fairly basic, really," She disagreed. They would have to kill anyone who would try to escape the lands unscathed. It was common practice for the Kuuza. Though, despite being here for most of her adult life, she was raised in a pride where ghosts were a real thing.

She gave a small laugh. "If I wanted to kill you, I would have attacked earlier," she dismissed the green male. "I actually have another offer." She paused, wondering for a moment if this was the correct decision. Perhaps they were spies...

"I have another offer, however. If you come with me, you will be allowed to live." Perhaps. That decision went to Mama or Papa, really, so she could only just speculate. "It may be worth your while," she gave a small chuckle.

Kose wasn't quite so chipper about the situation though. If they did decide to leave, Korres would have to attack, and Kose would need to warn the rest of the pride. If that happened, the pair would be hunted down until they were dead, of course, but the falcon still did not want to see his lioness injured.

"Join a pride?"

Abbadon scoffed at the idea, but when he looked to his brother he knew that the decision was likely already made. The attitude dropped immediately from the green lions face and a sigh slipped out. "Really?" He asked his brother. "You really want to join this tiny, princess of a lioness and to do what?" The idea of helping a prides survival was not ideal for him and yet he knew that if his brother went he would follow. It was almost instinctual.

"Yes. I think it's about time we find something a little more permanent, Abbadon." He had been staring at Korres the entirety of the conversation started by Abbadon. Ahriman was unfamiliar with the pride, the concept and so on, but had a liking of strong personalities. This fem certainly had that.

Ahriman made a point of silencing himself, which in turn silenced his brother. They would need this, for survival, and perhaps they would be able to do something with their lives. "What would we need to do to become part of this pride? What is the prides concept?" Though he'd admit they'd join, he wasn't about to sign up blindly.

Kose's gaze went from the green male down to his lioness. He nipped her, though not hard enough to pinch too much. It was almost a warning, but he gave a small sigh anyhow. Korres could only chuckle.

"We are Mercenaries," she told the pair. "Hired claws, really," She explained the pride in the simplest terms she knew. Mama would be able to do this better - she was young, having joined this pride right before her home pride had fallen to the grips of a rock slide.

That hadn't been long ago at all. "All you need to do is come with me - you'd be a new recruit." She said, rolling her shoulders a bit to dislodge Kose. The bird flapped a bit, shifting a bit before flying off. Kose would inform the leaders of the two Korres would be bringing into the lands.

He just hoped this would go well...

Abbadon stared after the bird that had obviously flown off to tell others of their arrival. He was aware and tad disgruntled about the whole ordeal, but he wasn't about to leave his brother. "Fine." He mumbled to a pleased with himself Ahriman.

"How delightful." The red lion mused when Korres explained the responsibilities she shared. Well he thought of it as a responsibility, this was certainly the most ideal situation they could have come across. Hired Claws? He would feel honored to be called to something so named.

"Well, show us the way."

The pair followed, Ahriman eager to ask question and Abbadon tailing a little behind, still not entirely sure.
