Jack heard Jenny talking to someone and figured she had called her mother. She was the only person he knew that would be up at this time since she was in a different time zone anyway. ”Augh…” He, well, he didn’t necessarily hate the woman but he only tolerated her because if Jenny knew anything about his dislike of her she’d probably get pissed at him. He was sure the only reason his soon to be mother-in-law put up with him was because he made Jenny happy. Besides that he wasn’t going to school anymore, and had a dead-end job, nothing much to look forward to in his future. That was if he even had one within the next few days. Well that and he had accidentally kicked her out of bed one time in a bad dream which resulted in her breaking her wrist, on top of that this happened the night before a final. ”Stupid dreams.” Lately every vivid dream he had had gotten worse and worse, he wasn’t sure why but each time Jenny says it took a bit more to wake him, and he was sure she wasn’t able to with this one.

He wasn’t sure where to start the search for any information about having a brother but googled it. He found out that Ancestry.com was one of the easiest ways to besides that he’d actually have to go into the State’s Record keeping offices, which weren’t open at two am so that was out of the picture. He created a quick account and reluctantly paid the fee. After only a quick search he found his mother and father and found himself. There actually was a record of his twin brother. He was taking a drink from his tea and dropped the cup as he started to read. ”Born Maxwell Jacob.” He was technically the younger twin and Maxwell was the oldest. He used a search again and found some hits the most interesting being a mug shot… of himself but more aggressive looking and quite a few facial scars. ”What… the f*ck?” He stared at the screen and blinked rapidly. This explained the time some cops had stopped him and got him out of his car at gunpoint, he was taken into custody but quickly released after. He hadn’t even told Jenny about that because they just said they had the wrong thing and all his information checked out.

He had just started school so the fact he was let go made him not even question exactly what all was going on and he almost had thought that someone had connections to the cops and were able to get them to play a prank on him. ”Assault, assault, assault, attempted murderer… three god damn times, wanted for questioning involving four murders, assault on two police officers, weapon charges, drug charges, drunken misconduct.” He read what his brother was wanted for and wondered why no one had ever mistaken him again. Though the most recent mug shot he found his brother had dyed his hair almost fire red and his facial scars were not as noticeable but there was a large tattoo going up one side. ”Good hell.” He went back to the search and found the article about the kidnapping and then one about Maxwell being picked up by police, that time for attempted murder and assault on two cops. The reporter had questioned his mother and father about it and simply made no comment.

That was, literally a week before they suddenly moved to the other side of the country when he was only fourteen. ”Well THAT makes sense now.” A follow up on the article showed that they had given Maxwell permission for full emancipation on the terms he changed his last name and had no contact with them whatsoever. They also put a restraining order on him so he couldn’t be anywhere near them or Jack. Jack nearly fell over in the chair he was leaning so far forward at this point and pushed himself back. He was wondering how exactly the ******** his parent’s had kept this a complete secret from him or how they blocked him from even being able to see the media about this. His father had some military connections (being military himsef) which probably helped with the move and helped keep them out of prying eyes of the media. Well he wasn’t as high ranking as he got to then but he was sure that had his father been to his last rank the media would’ve made a full out novel out this. ”Holy s**t…”

Jack's exclamation woke Jenny. She'd started to doze standing in the doorway. She yawned and walked silently up behind Jack, wrapping her arms around his neck and laying her head on her arm. "Waddyadoin?" She prodded, closing her eyes against the harsh light of the computer screen. If he jumped, she probably didn't even notice, still half-asleep. She might have drifted back to sleep too, but instead she had words to say to Jack.

"Ya know. I don get it. Why would the rabbit want to stand up to the wolf in the first place? Isn't it obvious the rabbit would get its face tore off? Like you. I like to beat on you because your so soft and squishy!" A giggle escaped her lips as she poke him in the sides. Soon though it was followed by a groan and a frown. "Math is haaaaaaaaarrrrrrddd. Do I reaally have to go take this test?" She pouted.

((I love sleepy Jenny. Its sooooo unusual for her to be able to sleep that this is just tooooo much fun.))

Jack had barely noticed Jenny come into the room at least until she put her arms around him. He quickly closed the tab with the information on Maxwell’s violent background but kept the other open. ”Not much just checking something…” He thought about not telling her but her comment about wolf and rabbit made him wonder if she had already saw something, though right now she seemed to not notice he remembered her sub conscious was good at picking these type of things up, at least until she fully caught up. ”So apparently I have a twin brother.” He left the part out about him being psychotic and showed her the first story of when his twin went missing when they weren’t even a year old.

Jack thought about her question and laughed a bit. ”Maybe the wolf is controlling the rabbit so the rabbit has had enough of it and is showing the wolf they won’t take the s**t anymore.” He shrugged and glanced over at her. ”Are you awake enough for a serious question yet or do you want coffee first?” He knew she most likely didn’t get very much sleep after the episode last night as he hadn’t gotten any but he was too wired to even be slightly drowsy. He cursed a bit in his head and sighed, he should’ve waited for that question to ask the other question until after her final today, now she was most likely going to think about it all day until he asked her. ”Yes you have to take the test, one of us has to finish a degree, and being you’re smarter anyway.”
PostPosted: Tue Mar 15, 2016 6:57 pm
Jenny let out a yawn. "That's nice dear." She muttered to his comment about having a twin. It didn't matter to her at the moment, only the thought of sleep mattered to her. She patted Jack on the head. "Serious questions are for losers who can't finish school." She pushed herself off of Jack and stood, headed towards the kitchen to make coffee.

"You could have made it. Let you be the smart one for once...." She yawned and stretched. Luckily she had enough foresight to fix the coffee the night before so all she had to do was turn on the pot and let it go. She wasn't the biggest coffee person at this point in her life. She only used it for special occasions like this one. She plopped down in the kitchen chair with her cup and waited for the coffee to finish. A brief sigh escaped her lips and she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, trying to wake herself up some.

When coffee finished she made herself a cup and rummaged in the cupboards for food. She 'noticed' the injection gun but she didn't really pay much attention to it. After breakfast she got ready for school and made her way out of the house and to the university.

Thirty minutes later, right in the middle of her test, suddenly it hit her what Jack had said. Internally she groaned. What the hell did he mean he had a twin? That wasn't just something you just bring up out of no where. Thoughts about that and his unasked question danced around in her mind, making it hard to focus on the numbers in front of her. Who was this twin of his? Why was Jack researching him after his nighmare? And the biggest question of all... Was his twin better looking than Jack? She paused at the last one, trying to shake it out of her head. Wtf jenny? Seriously in the middle of a test and you just think that you might be better off with Jack's twin you don't even know. I hate you... Focus on this teeeest....'

Eventually she just gave up, writing down some bs answers for credit. She had a feeling she wasn't going to pass this test and by proxy this class... again She left in a gloomy mood, but luckily she only had a few hours of work at the school cafe before she could go back home. When she got home... she would give Jack a piece of her mind.

Jack had almost fallen asleep still at the computer. He heard a loud bang again which caught him off guard causing him to fall over while still in the chair. He barely noticed the flash in front of him and winced a bit as his head hit the wall behind the chair. He heard someone say his name and stood up fixing the chair. ”Ow…” He rubbed the back of his head and cursed silently. ”You still haven’t changed out of that jumper suit?” He blinked as he noticed Lexa and shrugged a bit, he noticed she seems slightly older than the last time he saw her but not by much. ”I was so exhausted yesterday that I passed out a bit early still dressed.” He hadn’t even bothered to think about it, his mind had been in a few places and was still that way. ”s**t… s**t… what time is it?” He had to be to work that day and was supposed to work a half shift in the afternoon. The store he worked at wasn’t open in the evenings, allowing their employees to enjoy a night life.

”Almost noon if your clock is right.” Jack sighed, he wasn’t late and wasn’t supposed to be in for a few more hours (2-6pm). He quickly sent a text to his boss asking to take a sick day and offering to cover a full shift for someone that needed it on his day off. Luckily the owner was one of his friends back from when he was going to school and was a bit more laid back than most places. Plus they were never really super busy during the week anyway. ”So what’s up with you being back?” ”Just a small problem.” Before he could say anything she grabbed him and he felt like someone had punched him in the ribs again and got his breath back noticing he was somewhere else, but recognizable.

”LEXA!” He glared, noticing the house he grew up in standing in front of him. ”Why and what the f*ck are we doing here?” She just smiled at him and pointed at a car that was just leaving. Jack blinked, seeing himself, but younger drive off. He still had that car and kept it in good condition but this looked like it was just after he bought it cause it still looked like s**t and needed a bit of body work. ”What day is it?” ”No time for that, keep watch.” She went up and rang the doorbell and started banging on the door obnoxiously. He almost dropped when he saw his parents both answer the door and talk to Lexa, she was talking and started to a bit loudly and waving her arms trying to get them to do something.

He watched his father pull a bat out and glared at Lexa menacingly as his mom went back into the house to grab something. He saw a car pull up with someone he slightly recognized but couldn’t place. ”LEXA!” He yelled as soon as he noticed the guy get out with an automatic weapon. The gun shots went off and Jack was nearly hit as some went for him as well. He heard someone laughing crazily and then heard glass shattering and more gunshots before he felt Lexa grab his leg. He shook her off and stood up starting to rush… Maxwell? (and 2 goons) But before he could get to him just after being spotted again and before the shot hit him he felt Lexa tackle him to the ground, another rib shattering jab and then they were back in the computer office.

”GET OFF!” He shoved Lexa off quite roughly and crawled over to sit against the wall and put his head on his knees. ”I…” ”Just leave…” He didn’t even look up. He knew she had tried but why the hell she had him go to that day was beyond him. He heard the pop and barely noticed the flash as she vanished from the room again. ”GOD F*CK!” He got up and punched the wall leaving a large noticeable dent in the drywall. His hand throbbed and he held it a bit, ”…”

Jenny was still fuming by the time she got off work.Customer service wasn't really her thing and on top of Jack's revelation this morning, its was a wonder she didn't just walk out during her shift. But alas she was able to finish work without a major problem. She looked at the clock and cursed, Jack was probably at work by then.

She opened the door and walked inside the house quietly. She head the 'pop' sound and it confused her. "JACK!" She marched her way towards the room she'd heard the pop in. "I swear to god if I fail this test because you had to open your big fat mouth this morning I'm going to actually kill you this time. Ya don't just spring something like that on me at 7 AM. And more importantly why are you still here. Didn't you have to work today?"

Somehow she still missed the hole in the wall and Jack's whole position. She wasn't even thinking about Lexa and the time travel s**t. She was venting like she always did because Jack was always pretty willing to take it. (it was easier than letting her punch random strangers in the face...) Even more so she didn't expect Jack to lash out at her, leaving her stunned and with a taste of what she did to Jack all the time.

Jack didn’t even hear Jenny come in but heard her yell at him. He knew he should’ve wait but he knew her subconscious would’ve picked up on it anyway. There was a reason she was the smarter one. Even while on the outside she may not be paying much attention her subconscious usually retained the important information she needed. Jack moaned a bit and looked down at his hand which had partially turned black and purple, especially a few of his fingers. ”Augh f*ck…” He stupidly put that hand down to lift himself up which sent enough pain shooting through him that made him want to throw up.

He barely noticed that he had been crying that whole time and not from the pain. As Jenny appeared he looked up at her from where he was and gritted his teeth. ”NOW IS NOT THE MOTHER F*CKING TIME TO BE PISSED!” He held his hand up at her so she could see, if she had finally woken up now she’d be at least alert to that. ”Take me to the ER I wont be able to drive.” He really didn’t want to go there but the fact that he knew a few bones were broken he really had no choice. ”…” He wanted to say that he’d talk about what he did later but figured she’d get on him about that now too while she was driving like crazy (normal for her) to the ER. First the little blurb he shouldn’t have told her earlier, then missing work, now this, she had enough reason to yell at him and smack him in the face, though he was hoping the second would come much later. The last thing he wanted to do was explain why his face was so red and only on one side to an ER doctor.

Jenny stood there in stunned silence as her brain finally caught up with her mouth. The anger she felt gave way to guilt and concern for Jack's well being. "Wha... Ha. Jack?" She took a deep breath, holding tightly to her keys to keep from shaking. She wanted to pull him close and hold him tightly, but that could wait. She walked back out to the car, opening the door for Jack so he could get in.

Her driving was fast (as was to be expected... Her mother drives like a nascar race driver...) but not erratic and they made it to the ER rather quickly. Though Jack might of thought she'd be more angry, she wasn't. But she was trying to piece the information together the best she could with what she had to work with. Just before they got out of the car she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Did something happen with Lexa?" She asked, remembering the name Jack had decided to call the time travel lady. Considering the 'pop' sound just before Jenny entered the room, it was the most likely scenario. And that being the case, she had a different place to channel her anger to.

Jack looked over as Jenny put a hand on his shoulder, he had managed to get his s**t together and tried not to think about it. ”Yes…” He got out and walked through the door to go in and signed in. Oddly he had thrown the punch with his left hand and he was right handed so luck was on his side that way at least. He filled out the paperwork and under reason put “anger outburst” not really wanting to lie but he figured they’d ask Jenny if he had ever done anything to her. ”No she didn’t do this directly by the way so don’t go and kick her a**.” He turned to Jenny in the waiting room and shook his head. ”We…” He put his right hand to his face, they had given him one of those fabric slings so he could limit the movement on his left hand and he listened to the warning to not move it much, ******** duh.

He sighed finally after closing his eyes and looked at her. ”We went back in time to THAT night, and… it changed nothing.” He figured the gears would click into place when he referenced “That night” he had gone to therapy for it and was just barely starting to date her when that night occurred anyway. He put his head down a bit and tried to not visibly show he was trying not to tear up but usually couldn’t get that past her. ”I got angry at her for even taking me there, literally threw her off me quite roughly then punched the wall in frustration.” He kept his head lowered and his eyes closed. In the whole time of this he never even bothered to check if she was ok herself. She had been front and center when Maxwell and his goons showed up and started firing at the house but he hoped his warning was quick enough to get her out of the way. He shook his head at the thought, he was more concerned about her than seeing what actually happened to his parents.

After his hand was x-rayed they confirmed a few fingers had been broken and set them in a hard cast. He was given a stronger sling but told he didn’t always have to wear it but it was recommended if doing things to limit the hand moving to reduce the risk of it hitting something and causing pain. He was also given a very strong pain killer to combat the pain and took the one offered while he was there. ”Lets go get dinner or pizza, or something, I’m f*cking hungry.” He walked out with Jenny after going through everything and realized he hadn’t eaten much that day at all, and hospital food didn’t seem very appealing to him at the moment. ”Take out would be best, then we can go home and talk a bit more.” He didn’t really want to but he didn’t want to just push her away, he knew from the therapy sessions that it was actually better to talk about things rather than keep them all bottled up.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 17, 2016 3:31 pm
Jenny followed behind, gently fuming and knowing the next time she saw that time travel lady, she was gonna punch her in the face. Even after Jack said it wasn't really her fault, she was still gonna do it. But she didn't say anything about it. She was gonna pay for making Jack hurt.

If she wasn't pissed off before, Jack's next statements about 'when' they went pushed her over the edge. She exhaled softly, trying to keep herself from seeming angry. She wrapped her arm around him and held him. "Its ok Jack... I'm sure she's fine." Her voice was calmer than she thought it would have been.

She stayed by his side as long as she could, keeping out of the way of the doctors and making herself as small as possible as she mused over a way to get Lexa to appear so she could kill her. Ok not literally kill her.... Probably. Leaving the hospital made Jenny feel slightly better, she hated hospitals with a passion. Jack mentioned food and Jenny realized that she too was hungry. She hadn't noticed from being so pissed. "Sure. We'll go get your favorite. We don't have to talk too much if you don't want to." She remembered the pain in Jack's face the first time around when he told her what happened and she wasn't looking to repeat that experience.

They had gotten food and taken it back home (yes they own a house, not a horribly big one but not completely small either). He had explained a bit more what happened as well he explained that Lexa had given him another syringe gun for her to use. ”This s**t can get to you, you may end up having to do things you don’t really want to.” He warned her, knowing what had happened to him and figured that was oddly the least of his worries. ”Use it, but also think about what it will do to you mentally as well as physically.” He warned her that the connection process hurt like hell.

He had gotten up from dinner and put a movie on. He wanted to sleep but he figured it be best for him to be on his own for a bit, especially with her having a few tests this week he didn’t want to wake her in the middle of the night with another dream or pain. When he had gotten up he nearly fell over but caught his balance. The pain of just standing made him consider taking another pain killer and he did. He turned on a movie he had already watched a few times on Netflix and literally passed out on the couch a few minutes in.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 19, 2016 4:17 pm
Jenny shrugged. It didn't bother her to know that there was a possibility of doing things she didn't necessarily want to do. "I'll keep that in mind." She knew she would do anything for Jack, and in the future her family as a whole. She wrote off Jack's complaint about the pain as him being a wimp. She let Jack go do what he wanted, knowing that she still had these tests the next day. She went to the bedroom and grabbed her study materials, walking by the living room to check up on Jack, only to find him fast asleep. Her expression softened to a gentle smile and she stood there for about a minute before finally moving on. No matter what her mother said, Jack was the best thing to happen to her and she wasn't willing to give him up so easily.

That brought her back to the anger she felt earlier. She placed her laptop and books down on the table and went straight for the cupboard with the syringe. She pulled it out and noticed something fall to the ground. An envlope, on the top written in bold marker: Jenny don't be an idiot and read this first. Confused she opened it and pulled out the letter inside.

(Letter below)
Jenny,
Thank god you actually read this letter. I was only half sure you would. Listed inside are the instructions to use this syringe. It'll make the process simpler. I know what you are thinking and as much as I would tell you not to, I know it will do no good. Just remember to do what you feel is right. Because it's what I would do and what I did do. Just... be smart about it.

Fluffy Bunny

She read it throughly, frowning that future her even went through the effort to set this together. Not to mention she'd signed it as the nickname their father used when they were little. Gross. She followed the instructions carefully and injected herself. Less pain or not, it still hurt worse than she'd thought it would.

The instant her finger left the trigger, she hit the floor. She held in her scream, not wanting to wake Jack. That was the only thought she could hold on to. The image of Jack sleeping so peacefully helped her hold on to her reasoning for doing such a thing. Future her was a p***k. The least she could have done was warn her about the pain. Though imagining Jack going through something worse was hard.

After an hour or so she noticed the pain subside. Her shoulder ached, having landed on it when she fell and laying on it funny the whole time. She wiped the sweat off of her forehead, glad that was finally over. Her expression darkened as she thought again about her reason for doing this. Lexa... Not that she had any idea of exactly how to go about finding her. She closed her eyes and exhaled, just trying her best to picture the woman she'd seen the morning before. If she could just focus enough...

(Also a little blip of story if you want to read. Just older Jenny warning Lexa about younger Jenny.)

Lexa was getting ready to take off for the first time. They had discovered these things going on and she was the one who volunteered to go fix them. She heard a knock on her door and opened it to find her grandmother there. "Nana? What are you doing here?" The older woman smiled and spoke softly. "Its about this assignment you've taken." "Nana! You said you'd keep your nose out of these things. You and Gramps promised." The older woman only shrugged. "I was never really good at promises. That's not the point. The reason I stopped by is to warn you." "Warn me about what?" "About me. Younger, past me. I was... Jenny can be a little hard headed sometimes. Stubborn, I've been called. Just... try not to deal with her as much as possible. Dealing with Jack is much easier. He's more likely to accept things immediately and without question. I... she... we aren't so open. Just... Be careful ok?" Lexa rolled her eyes. "You are worrying too much Nana. I'm sure things will be fine."

The sound of a 'pop' followed by the feeling like she'd been punched in the stomach let her know that she'd done whatever it was she set out to do. She opened her eyes, now standing in a small white room. There were two other people in the room. The doctor was just finishing sewing up Lexa's arm where the bullet from her adventures earlier had hit her. As she wheeled back to examine her work, Jenny ran into that space and punched Lexa in the face. The sound of Lexa's nose breaking was satisfying to Jenny. She pulled back and bent over, trying to catch her breath. Lexa held her nose. "What the hell was that for?" Her glare trained on Jenny. The doctor stood from her chair, seemingly unfazed by any of the events happening. "Please... no fighting in my office... Take it outside." She more or less pushed Lexa and Jenny out the door, handing Lexa some tissue to wipe some of the blood off her face.

Jenny took one look at Lexa's face and she started to laugh. Lexa looked annoyed. "Seriously what the hell was all that about?" Jenny stopped laughing. "You just come into my life, trying to fix all this time travel s**t and you don't know why I'm here. You went back to try to change a very important part of Jack's life. And you took him with you. You have no idea how many nights I spent trying to comfort him when that s**t took place and here you think you can just waltz right by and bring those painful memories back up? Naw b***h. That's not now this works." Lexa snorted then cursed at the pain. "I see. So you think that just leaving things the way they are is better? That's right, I remember you were always the type to think the future is set in stone. How's that working out for you now?" Jenny's face puffed in anger. She rushed Lexa, punching her in the stomach this time. "I don't care if you are from the future, you don't know anything."

Lexa back away, trying to catch her breath. "How about those dreams Jack's been having? Did he tell you about his twin? Did you ask about what he saw? Did you know that MY Gramps is missing those very same fingers?" Jenny was on her in a second, punches flying. And when Lexa finally fell to the ground, kicks followed.

"JENNY!" Jenny stopped only at the sound of her name. She turned to see that their little fight had brought a crowd. A male rushed forwards to Lexa's side, Jenny figured that would be her brother. But the one who called her name was the figure she focused on the most. And elderly lady with an elderly man standing next to her. He was sipping his coffee without care. But they were two people she recognized instantly. It was her and Jack. The future them. "Everyone get back to work." Her gaze focused behind Jenny to Lexa and her brother. "Get her inside." Jenny tightened her fist and Nana laughed. "I almost forgot how angry I was. Remember dear when I told you about this." His only response was a 'hmmph'. Jenny turned her gaze to him for a moment, noticing his hands and how wrinkly they were. The two of them were oooold. Gramps pulled his coffee down from his face. "Hi" Jenny turned away from him and back to her.

There was nothing said for a moment or two. Jenny didn't even have to ask why she stopped them. Lexa was getting her a** beat and she kinda waaas her granddaughter. Nana just waited for Jenny to calm down and see just how pointless it was for all that. Though she had to admit, beating the s**t out of Lexa had felt pretty good. "So do you feel better yet?" Jenny frowned. "You shouldn't even be talking to me. Shouldn't there be some rule against meeting with your past self." Nana snorted. "Hon... I broke that rule before it was a rule." Jenny realized that would be her right now. "You know I have been standing here for a while. I'm surprised you didn't notice. Lexa kept looking at me." "And you only stopped me now because..." "Because she deserved it. She did something when I told her not to. But I also told her not to do it because I knew she would do it. Keeping time straight is a tricky business." "What about those things she said?" "Yea those things will happen eventually. But you already figured that out for yourself. Now you should probably get back to your time." Jenny frowned as Nana came closer to her. "No parting words of wisdom? Nothing dramatic to help me out in life?" Nana only smiled before bending close to her ear and whispering "Take care of Jack" and tapping on Jenny's shoulder twice. 'Pop' and Jenny found herself back in their kitchen, exactly two minutes after she'd left.

With a 'pop' Jenny was gone. Nana turned around and Gramps snorted. "You just sent her back with nothing. What did you say to her anyway? I bet it was something like 'Keep Jack safe' or something stupid like that." Nana glared at him and walked up next to him. She punched him lightly in the arm. "And what was that about? Just saying 'Hi'. I swear to god if you fall in love with past me I will kick your a**." And the two of them walk back inside bickering like a married old couple. Because they are.

Jack had barely been asleep when the dream hit, yet again. Though this time it was slightly different as he started on the floor of what looked to be like a jail cell. His left hand hurt like hell and he couldn’t feel anything from two fingers on his left hand. ”Jack… please get up.” Jack blinked at the words and tried to move his head but even moving shot pain through his body. ”Oh…jesus…” The voice was familiar and it finally took him a while to place it, Ciara. His soon to be, well if he was right about this dream being in the future she probably was his mother-in-law now, but why was she here? ”Ciara?” Jack finally managed to get out as he maneuvered himself so he could look at her. She was in a jail cell similar to his and the two were separated by bars.

”Why are you here?” ”They grabbed me when I was on my way to watch the twins.” Jack blink and had to think about that one, what twins? ”Where was Jenny?” ”At the house, she asked me to come look after them so that she could come find and rescue you, though looks like she’ll be rescuing both of us, at least that gives her more of a motive to hurry.” ”Yeah that’s true.” ”Yeah that’s true. But Jack, is it really? Why do you put up with these two, they’re such bitches, especially Jenny, who obviously just takes after her mother so much, but we can fix that.” Jack glared and managed to push himself up just as Maxwell grabbed at Ciara but missed as the woman stepped back. ”LEAVE HER ALONE YOU a**!” ”LEAVE HER ALONE YOU a**! But Jack… that only means I get to play with you more, and you’re not looking to good at the moment.” ”You can kill me for all I care but leave her the f*ck alone.”

Maxwell didn’t repeat the last part but apparently took up Jack’s offer opening the cell to pull Jack to his feet by grabbing his shirt then half dragging him out. Jack could hear Ciara scoff and start to plead with Maxwell but Jack got his brother’s attention by managing to stand up enough and grabbing his ear. Maxwell whirled and punched Jack in the face sending Jack to the floor but Jack felt something violently pull and looked up to see Maxwell’s ear had been damaged. Maxwell felt at the ear and slightly frowned and then grinned as he saw the pleasure on Jacks face. Jack had no time to react as Maxwell grabbed him by his ankle and dragged him further pulling him up by both his feet to put him on some bed again. ”I’ll just go back to your house and get your twins and Jenny, and keep you alive enough to watch what I do to them.” Jack almost winced as Maxwell got right in his face to say this, but spat in his brother’s face.

”Jenny will kill your a** before you even get a chance to.” ”Jenny will kill your a**…” Maxwell rolled his eyes and pulled out a hunting knifed putting up to Jack’s face. ”I’ll just cut your tongue out instead then, that way you can only moan and not speak.” Jack winced as Maxwell grabbed his cheeks pulling the blade closer to his mouth as he did this. ”Don’t you dare touch him.” ”Don’t you dare touch him. YOU STAY OUT OF THIS!” Maxwell threw the knife at Ciara but missed barely due to Jack elbowing him. Maxwell growled and punched Jack violently in the ribs grinning as he heard something crack.

((ps…. If Jenny is back shortly she may notice Jack still asleep but covered in sweat already, possibly with a fever?? Idk yet… ))

Jenny raised a hand to her mouth, feeling like she was gonna be sick. She pulled out one of the chairs and sat down, laying her head on the table. This time travel stuff was hard, how did Jack do this? Jack! She sat up just a bit too quickly and just as quickly let her head drop back to the table. He was probably fine considering he was sleeping when she left. She moaned softly, slowly pulling her head off the table. She pulled a book close and opened it to the lecture they were having their test on. If she didn't study at least a little she wasn't going to pass this test. Though not as bad as the calculus test, she hadn't actually paid attention in class. After a moment though, she decided to check up on Jack anyway. While technically it had only been ten minutes or so, for her it had felt like longer.

She stood and walked over to the living room, noting Jack's breathing was heavier than the last time she checked as she could actually hear it as she approached. Unlike last time when she checked, his sleep didn't seem peaceful. He was sweating and moving a little. At least he wasn't screaming. "Jack?" She came into the room and knelt next to the couch. Her expression darkened as she placed her hand on his forehead. Nightmares like this... Being there and remembering future Jack's hand were missing two fingers. Those things would happen eventually. It bothered her to know that Jack was seeing something that would happen. It wasn't because of the idea of him knowing the future... but more the content of his dreams. She felt bad for not putting those two things together until now. She pulled away, figuring at this point she might not be able to wake him by normal means. So she stood and went back to the kitchen, returning with a glass of cold water. And then she dumped it on his face.

Future ~ Relative time = Same time as the dreams

Jenny held her phone close to her ear, holding her breath. The officer on the other end of the line had been helpful, trying his best to do something about Jack's disappearance but unable to find any evidence. It was hard because they'd had an argument and he'd left and hadn't come back. She wasn't able to give all the details to the police without outing themselves as psychics because their argument had mostly been about her keeping the secret that his dreams were future visions. They were angry and Jenny said plenty of things she didn't mean to say. There was just no trace of him to be found anywhere.

But it turned out he hadn't called about the missing persons case. Instead it was about an accident involving her mothers car. Her mother was not in the car nor was she at home. He had contacted her to find out if she knew anything and she told him only what she could. That her mother had been on her way over to her house to watch the kids while she went out to look for Jack.

Hanging up the phone, she imedately called her father. She might have hated the man with a passion, but currently she had no where else to turn. So she dialed him up and told him to come over. No questions asked. He arrived and she explained the situation as calmly as she could. It was hard, knowing that Maxwell had Jack and probably was the reason her mother was missing. It had only been that night that she'd had the dream which was why she called her mother over. She couldn't afford to loose either of them. He was supportive, giving her a 'pep talk'.

Out in the car, she started to tear up. She had acted so strong in front of the others, not wanting to show weakness but she knew she couldn't keep that up forever. Ciara had noticed her facade slipping but of course she hadn't said anything. Jenny balled her hand into a fist and reached into her glove compartment. She checked the gun over once to make sure everything was in working order and that it was loaded before driving off. She had an idea of where to look, she just had to hope that Jack and Ciara would be ok until she got there.
