Psychic energy would cut into the Mew's side. Once a comforting familiar presence, it now reacted violently when mixed with poison. Next a rush of air would slash amidst a flurry of attacks which had no hopes of reaching it. More air followed, the current battering it's body against the the vent to add bruises to the list of the Mew's injuries. Fire came next...painful with it's hot sting...but not as bad as many of the blows it had taken today. A weak lizard nipped at the legendary's flesh before he was battered by a steely wing....something he'd encountered quite a lot during this conflict. A sword danced about, and his comrade transmitted a truly horrifying imagine into it's head....always check the subject line folks. Then it came, a murky mass of muck splattered against the Mew's face, invading it's nose and mouth. Colour drained from it's face as mud filled the Pokemon's lungs. The final attack would come to late, the Shinx would arrive in time only to watch the Mew hit the floor, it's guise falling with it.
The Mew was defeated, but not as dead as it appeared. Despite the best efforts of the invaders, as well as the Mew itself, parts of the Mirage Arena were still very much functioning. A soft green glow would surrounding the Psychic-type, the colour returning to it's face as it's wounds seemed to slip away. No one died in the Mirage Arena.
Still, despite the difficulty which should have come with it, the group had come out victorious against the legendary Mew with not a scratch between them. They'd come off surprisingly lucky...it likely wouldn't be nearly so easy next time.
Music would actually play from the arena's PA system, heralding the children's victory against Mew, continuing on for a period of several minutes to allow the children to bask in the glory of their victory.Once the music stopped, a voice which was most certainly not one of their instructor's would chime in "Good work kids! The uh...Professor's are a bit indisposed now so...like....congratulations and all that jazz! You did great! Better than was probably expected even!" The voice announced "Now if you'd just all turn around and go back to the Dance Hall, we can get back to the party and...uh....reward you properly I guess. Yeah! I'm sure the Professor's have something lined up for all your hard work! So....ya know....toodles." Apparently that was it. They were done here, and once they returned to the Dance Hall they'd be rewarded for a job well done!
[CONGRATULATIONS!]

Upon hearing the resounding Victory fanfare, Jekyll and the rest of Argyle's Pokemon would do what only came natural in these situations. Gathering together, they would each pose dramatically. In Jekyll's case this meant standing up front and in the center...he did strike the winning blow after all...standing straight, crossing his arms, and closing one eye as he gave a cocky grin ">They need to clean up their act!<" And there was the one-liner.
">You're one to talk! Mweehehe~<" Sybelle giggled, slightly behind and to the right of Jekyll. Floating in the air, she'd periodically do a somersault as if repeating an idle animation.
Thanatos, while not directly participating in this nonsense, would still stand on the opposite side of Jekyll. Hefting his bone club, the Ground-type would toss it once dramatically into the air, watching it flip several times before catching it with the opposite hand and shouldering it.
Argyle for his part would stand in the back, face in his palm. It wasn't even that he minded this ridiculous behavior, it was that they were doing it in front of over half of the first year students in Akumu Academy.
Before this could get any sillier, the young butler would recall his Gastly and Cubone, reaching down and placing his Croagunk upon his shoulder. He'd heard the announcement. There was work was done here...
[Exiting to Dance Hall]
Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 6 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. Pokemon: Gastly [F] Name & Level: Sybelle, Lv 6 [Temperament] Impish Bio: While traversing the bizarre terrain of The Island of New Beginning's third ring, and after a particularly awful joke by Jekyll, Argyle would be altered to the presence of a Gastly by her insane giggling. Immediately seeing the advantages of owning a Ghost-type, the youth would go about putting on a comedy routine. Relying on an old act performed for his mistress's pets, and the hope that Jekyll would do his part, the pair sent the Gastly bowling over with laughter. So amused by the duo's antics, Sybelle decided to stick around in hopes of future entertainment. Pokemon: Cubone [M] Name & Level: Thanatos, Lv 6 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Argyle's meeting with Thanatos was the finale to a rather morbid series of encounters. Having confronted several Cubone prior, Argyle and his Pokemon had obtained quite the reputation among their number by the time he reached the burial site guarded by Thanatos. Strongly disapproving of Jekyll's lack of respect for the dead, the two soon came to blows....with Thanatos as the victor. Jekyll went down in a single blow, and as far as Thanatos had been concerned that was to be the end of it; but Argyle had other plans. Claiming it was compensation for knocking out Jekyll, the boy captured the Cubone in a single throw. Thanatos took this turn of events oddly well, remaining set in his goals regardless of the path he must take. Not a fair fight.
Hiro had been right about that as he watches the Mew go down. The Shinx wouldn't even get a chance to hit as the pokemon went down and he watches as the boy with the Croagunk was celebrating.
He almost snapped at him, but held it in.
It hadn't stood a chance.
No one got hurt, this wasn't a battle, but a massacre. Blight was stun, they didn't join in their attacks with those of the others, and Despair who had been quite hype about the fight saw the pokemon had gone down in three turns. Three attacks, and she hadn't even put more than a mere scratch on it.
Her eyes would go to Fluke who had completely missed.
The Dwebble looked like he was ready to cry. What kind of battle was this?
"I tolda ya."
Hiro would declare as he notices their faces. They had gotten stronger, just a bit, but what did that mean to any of them in the end? Despair looked at the ground and for once, just this once they had felt like Hiro was right.
This hadn't been a battle worth fighting.
Of course, the organization wasn't about a fair battle or even that sort of crap, and it wasn't that Hiro was all about a fair battle, but he wanted to be the world's greatest trainer. You didn't get that with a group battle that was that massive. No his dream was to be the one they called out when it got to be beyond their control, not one in a crowd.
An enforcer.
Yup, he didn't have a chance to shine here and that rubbed him completely the wrong way. Hiro would move to leave as he recalls everyone but Blight again. The bulbasaur for once move with a air of completely embarrassment.
That was.. totally bogus! Just as he was about to get in on the action, it was already too late. He was a little bitter with Poppy about it, making it clear with a glare shot her way that she acknowledges by staring at him for a few moments. What, no apology? Grumpy, he gives the fallen Mew a glum look before trudging to his trainer.
It ended much faster than anyone would have guessed, but that was just efficient. Dealing with this problem quickly meant the professors had more reason to believe them capable of whatever was assigned to them. After Shinx returns to her side stronger than he was before, the two of them turn to leave with the others.
The battle was won, but it was a bittersweet feeling. They'd managed to stop the pokemon from rampaging, yes, but the fact that it was held her and tormented for possibly years was the cause. Would it be put back into captivity and do this again, or would they actually ponder releasing it? "You two did well...return..." His pokemon went back into their pokeballs, but not without looking to one another and nodding for a moment. Alex wiped the dour expression from his face in exchange for a blank one as he returned through the doors.
Well, it wasn't exactly what he had been expecting, but as the blows finished landing and the defeated mew disappeared, it seemed victory belonged to the group of students. At least, if the amount of victory fanfare blaring around the group was any indication. Alexander wasn't much for celebrating, so he just recalled his ducklett so that she could get an opportunity to relax. The boy considered returning Titania to her ball as well, but the voice making the announcement plus some of its claims put him a bit on edge, so he opted to keep the pawniard out for the time being. Still, there wasn't anything more he could do where he was, so with the dark and steel type following nearby the boy made his way back out to where the dance had been held.

It was over, the battle was over and Shiloh was glad. There was no deaths, no one was harmed and everything had gone as planned. He was happy, especially as his pokemon grew in strength.
This meant the Island would be easier one everyone, and he had no complaints there as he looks at his two pokemon. Ricasso had missed his last move, but he still was happy as he lands and feels himself grow stronger while Chai. Well, Shiloh wasn't sure if Chai even realized what was going on as she would dance on his head.
It was a kettle dance or something like that.
Anyway, he would reach up to ruffle her feathers to show that he was pleased with what she had done.
The pokemon would snuggle closer to her as she press herself against to get him to reach the good spots.
It had ended well as far as he was concern and thus.
Shiloh would recall his group back to their poke balls and head for the exit.
The battle ended much more quickly then most people would realize. Though from the looks of most of the students, it wasn't a happy victory. The fight had been unfair to begin with, but it didn't really matter to Karasu. A mission was still a mission to be completed despite whatever was required of the students. It wasn't up to them to question the orders, more like they simply had to obey and get it done. This battle had been good for the Skarmory for he had grown in strength of a tremendous amount. That noted, he would walk out of the room ready to go back to where it had all begun. There was nothing left for them here.
The Skarmory followed after Karasu silently, his talons clicking a bit noisily against the ground.

Alice watched the scene with confusion in her heart as the Mew sank under the group's combined might. On one hand, they'd survived against a creature far more powerful than they, and come out better for it. On the other hand... what was the Academy doing with a Mew? Why did it seem so angry? Now that it was defeated, could they... unthinkingly, she took a step forward.
>OH NO YOU DON'T.< Vorpal had been expecting this, somewhat; frankly, that she hadn't done it earlier was a miracle. She was far too curious for her own good, even when it came to rampaging monster. He wrapped his banner around her arm, pulling her back.
Sensing the Honedge's distress, and deciding to do something for once, Maddie bounded in front of her trainer, blocking the way.
A bit too small to do anything much of use, Basil just flung himself onto Alice's back.
The pinkette blinked. Oh. Right. She'd even been the one to say that reasoning with the Mew was unlikely. But... that didn't stop her from wanting to comfort it. Was there a way to keep it from being this angry in the future? Did it have to be alone? She grave a slight smile, gently patting each of her Pokemon. "I'm lucky you're all far wiser than I," she complimented sincerely. "But for now, I think a bit of rest is in order..." Alice recalled all but Vorpal, who was still a bit incensed. Not that she minded toting her starter around. And with that, she left the vengeful creature behind. [Exit to the Dance Hall]
The constant attacks finally overwhelmed the Mew and it went down. However Gin must've spaced out because suddenly everyone was gone out of the room except for one other person. Seeing the door they went through, he recalled Chiyome to her ball after praising her good work and then placing Takeshi on his shoulder before moving to leave. There was no point for them to linger.

Alistair had been a bit too distracted to actual pay attention to the Mew's defeat. It was certainly impressive, but at the moment, he was trying to comfort a particularly upset Roselia. There was an odd smile on his face as he gently patted the Grass-type's head. He couldn't help sympathizing with the little creature-- he could recognize that panic, as he'd felt it when confronted with overly-excited social. She'd been sobbing into his leg as the legendary fell to the ground. It wasn't the most dignified thing, and frankly, he should have been far harsher to make it clear this behavior wasn't acceptable in battle.
But... well, everyone else had left. And he'd never liked the lectures and other roughness his mother had brought. So instead, he was gently patting the Roselia's head while his other Pokemon were (presumably) comforting her. (Sigurd had taken up the back-patting position, and Lucy seemed to be performing some kind of goofy routine.) From the giggling and easier breathing, it seemed Blythe was feeling better. He gave a slight smile, and recalled all but his starter. Alistair wasn't going to feel guilty for comforting his Pokemon... it was good teambuilding, right? With a sigh, he left.
