The Mew changes forms, and a chance that seemed to belong to the heavens open up. The pokemon quite literally turned it's back on everyone to aim at a single trainer after it turned to a form that was like a slap to almost 90% of the pokemon in the room.

If only his egg had hatched, but if wishes were fishes he would have a lot to eat. There was no sense in wasting his time with Chai, she wasn't strong enough to break though a Steel's type defensives like that. But, Ricasso, and the boy wanted to pull his hair.
Another form, and they could have punched a hole in him, but that Mew had chosen a steel and ghost type. It was a hard pokemon to deal with when it wasn't packing a legendary's power. Thus what choice did they have.
"Chai defend,"
and the bird took off her cup from her head and places it in front of herself as a shield as she landed on the boy's head. Very, very, useful.
He would have slap himself in the face, but he chose to simply let it go. "Ricasso, use Bug Buzz"
Hopefully, they could at least lower this pokemon's Sp. Defense, and make it easier to deal with in the long run.

Alice couldn't understand Pokemon, but it was very clear from the enraged metallic shriek that Vorpal wasn't especially happy about the Mew taking on his appearance. And she wasn't either; fighting Vorpal was possibly the thing she least wanted to do. Furthermore, Honedge had an... interesting amount of resistances and immunities. In other words, it was bad situation for everyone involved. Perhaps she should have allowed Vorpal to just use Swords Dance... but well, in for a penny, in for a pound. "Keep going. Same moves: Shadow Sneak, Charge Beam, and Confusion." The last of those moves wouldn't be the most useful, but she was hoping that Basil could confuse the creature.
>THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.< Vorpal was livid, ruddy blade shining as he dragged himself along the floor. That little... he was going to make this damned thing SUFFER. He slammed himself into the floor, pointy-end first, and lashed out viciously with his shadow.
Maddie started, clearly concerned. She rather liked her favorite magnet, and she wasn't interested in having his good name slandered! He was shiny and friendly and only stabbed people who threatened his favorite magnet! This aggression would not stand, Mew! The light of the Charge Beam poured from her mouth like a scream.
>... what was in that tea, I wonder?< Basil mused from his prime position. Two of the angry stabbies? What if there were two of his trainer? Two of the ottomon? Two of EVERYTHING? Would they need another world? Another dimension? Would it matter if everyone traded their left sock? With a pleasant bit of affectionate, he pushed these Confusing thoughts towards the fake's brain.

The biggest concern on Alistair's plate was that apparently a non-Shiny Legendary could turn into a Shiny Pokemon. Well, it wasn't like this was something you saw every day, so yes, his priorities were completely in order, thank you. "Lucianna, Air Slash. Sigurd, Leer. Noelle, Water Pulse. And Blythe, Energy Ball." He knew more than half of those attack wouldn't do too much damage, but if he was lucky, Lucy might be able to force the creature to flinch and Blythe could get her Special attack up. X-Scissor would barely touch the creature, so getting his defense down would be useful. It wouldn't take reduced damage from Water Pulse... and perhaps Noelle could force it into confusion.
With a war-whoop, Lucy flung herself at the floating-mouse-turned-sword, striking through the air with her burst of Air. She'd make it regret ever waking up and attacking them!
Sigurd didn't like staying behind anymore than he liked fighting. If there was to be a battle, he wanted to be right beside his companions, including the feisty Emolga. But the human beside him seemed to have a plan, and therefore he'd merely shoot the monster a disdainful look.
>Gotcha, boss dude!< Noelle remained chipper even in the face of extreme violence. Fortunately, it wasn't directed at her... so she was content to keep goofing off. She took a deep breath and hocked a loogie right at the Mew... well, it was one way to get off a Water Pulse.
The Roselia shuddered, pulling closer to Alistair. This battle wasn't looking good... but she needed to try and stay hopeful. She flung out a quick Energy Ball, hardly able to look.

The young shinobi would watch as the barrage of attacks on the Mew seemed to do nothing. Instead it transformed into one of the gathered Pokemon. The boy would focus on Koga and the Skarmory knew exactly what to do. Time to not waste the opportunity presented.
The Skarmory would fly as high as he could, before tucking his wings against his body. Hurtling down with gravity aiding his fall, he would attempt to Peck the Mew!

Attack after attack. Mud would splatter it's blade, Cubone's wail ringing in it's ears. A Pidove would clash wing for sword as two others charged in foolishly, passing straight through the false specter. A Scyther would strike with wing rather than blade, followed close by the thunderous blow of a walking tree. Flames scorched it's body, and then to add insult to injury a second Scyther would kick up an awful buzz. It was too much...IT WAS TOO MUCH.
A sound like the shattering of glass...
The Mew's eyes would turn from a shimmering cascade of colours to a rich bloody red, the glow spreading across it's entire body. It would kill them all. Rip them to shreds while wearing their own face and leave nothing left to burn or bury...the Mew's borrowed form became distorted like the desert air...

The Mew's form coalesced, it's body becoming clear as it returned to it's original form, though the red glow remained. It wouldn't remain this way for long however. It had identified another threat, and so it's shape would begin changing again. It's skin darkened, turning to purple, toxic slime seeping out of it's pours as it's arms lengthened, an unsettling and impish grin spreading across it's face.
It had turned into a perfect copy of Jekyll, though the glowing red eye's persisted even now. Yet rather than attack as it had before the 'Croagunk' would retreat, using it's springy body to leap into the rafters, clinging to an air vent as it placed itself out of reach. It would seem that after whatever it had done, it needed to recharge.

Even if Alexander's own pokemon weren't doing much to damage the mew, the combined effort from the students seemed to be enough to cause the legendary psychic's form to crumble. As it did so, however, it seemed it was impossible for any more of the attacks launched at it to hit. Eventually, the form settled into a more stable state, but as it did so, it took on a new guise, that of the croagunk in the room. In this form, though, the legendary pokemon decided to not take any more chances and instead sought to leap out of the reach of the various pokemon within the room.
Unfortunately for the psychic type, there was a bit of a flaw... Its current form was very weak to both of the pokemon Alexander had out."Odette, knock it off course with Gust! Titania, get ready to strike with Psycho Cut!"the boy called out, knowing that as long as that psychic type was up in the rafters, it was gonna be a lot harder to hit.
>O-oh, I don't like this plan at all!<the ducklett fretted as she flew away from what she felt was her safe spot near her trainer to chase after the transformed legend. It was rather easy for her to reach where the false croagunk was lurking and even easier to land on one of the beams so she could kick up a real burst of wind. Legend or no, it would probably be feeling the effects of this attack!
Titania wasn't exactly the patient type, and while she was stuck on the ground watching other people launch their long-range attacks at the legend, she started flailing her arms about.>I said get back here you coward, so GET BACK HERE!!!<the dark and steel type screamed as she waved her arms, glowing with energy, at the rafter upon which the transformed mew was situated. While it might have seemed to be a rather futile move on her part, the attack itself seemed to have other plans as the energy attached to some of those swipes formed glowing blades that flew at the resting pokemon. Whether they did any good or not... Well, that remained to be seen.

Well, this was a turn for the interesting. He'd never heard of Pokemon doing... whatever was going on with the very angry Mew in front of them. This wasn't a normal Legendary, and it wasn't tactical to treat it as such. Which meant Alistair had to revise some of his own personal plans, and fast. "Siguard, Leer. Noelle, Leer. Blythe, Energy Ball. Lucianna, Air Slash." If he could lower the defense of the Mew in Croagunk's Clothes early enough, he might be able to make it easier for the rest of the group. Not that he particularly cared what happened to them, but someone had to help these meatheads.
The Scyther clicked his tongue, liking this plan less and less. He was more interested in getting Blythe and the others safely out of the blast area. This creature was dangerous... but then, it was his duty as a protector. Even if Sigurd wasn't in the forest anymore. With a disdainful sneer, he Leered right at the Fighting-type.
Noelle was taking this far less seriously. She stuck her tongue out at the Mew, giggling all the while. It wasn't a typical Leer, but frankly, being typical was boring. Besides, she rarely got to use her non-attack moves!
Blythe cowered behind Alistair's leg as the Mew frothed with rage. This wasn't what she'd wanted at all! She screwed eyes shut as she whimpered, but managed to open them at her trainer's request. She needed to be brave like the rest... with a low hum, she flung the Energy Ball forward.
>Rude.< Lucy was an Emolga of few words, but this Mew was annoying her. Legend or not, she wanted to smack it. And so she'd try, tossing a blade of air at the thing.

Unfortunately the attack would miss. The boy would watch as he wasn't the only one whose pokemon would suddenly miss the Mew completely. Had to be something strange happening there. "Koga, let's try again!" the shinobi said calmly.
The Skarmory let out a cry before launching back into the air. After tucking his wings back against his sides and leaping into a dive once more, he would aim to try and Peck the newest Croagunk with glowing red eyes.

Shiloh would cheer as the attacks broke through. Hit after hit, it wasn't enough to stop it completely, but the pokemon had to be smarting from all of that. A fact that become quite clear with the form change as well as the color change. The pokemon was giving off a blood red aura, which didn't promise good things, but at the least meant that there was still a change to make it bleed.
Better yet, it changed into a form that wasn't so resistance to all attack either. A Croagunk might not be full of holes, but it wasn't a Fort Knox form either.
This was one time, that the Pidove would actually be able to create a bit of pain. Though there was one big problem, she wasn't the world's strongest pokemon. No matter, they would do their best no matter what.
"Chai, use Gust."
"Ricasso, try to knock that pokemon back to towards the earth use quick attack."
The Pidove was finally being called to attack and what did she do. She started to spin on Shiloh's head. She would tilt one way and then the other and then finally she would turn towards her opponent and start to flap her wings strongly.

She was singing while she attacked. That was definitely one pokemon who must have been drop as an egg, while, Ricasso would open his wings as he would streak upwards towards the pokemon to try and knock it back down to ground.

This time before voicing her options, Jin-Hua would pause and take into consideration her opponent the newly formed Croagunk."Longwei, Ember. Qiang, Gust! Li, Tackle and Sai, Metal Claw." she said, watching the pokemon carefully.
This was turning out to be interesting. The Shieldon missed the admiring gaze and cheering. In his head, if he got close enough to the Mew turned into a Croagunk, he would find the pokemon had lots of loving fans for him to see! That in mind, he charged to try and Tackle the pokemon once more.
Letting out a faintly frustrated coo, the bird would begin to gather up the Gusts of wind to toss at the legendary!
He hadn't mastered his Rage well enough. That was not one time but two times failed. Irritated, he would take a deep breath to try and meditate for a second and focus. Instead of charging, he would feel the flames building within his body as he took time to control it. Taking a couple deep breaths, his maw would widen as he shot the Ember at the legendary pokemon!
The Gligar let out a sigh. This was...boring. But a hero's work was never truly done. This in mind, he would charge once more ready to try once again to slash at the pokemon with Metal Claw!
It changed again into a Croagunk. Fighting and poison types. It was trying to run. "Flame Burst again, Raiden! Pansear, try going after it for a focus punch!">"You got it!"< The monkey leaping after the fleeing Mew. >"Got it."< Raiden prepared another fireball, trying to get a lock on the frog form Mew before letting it loose.
The boy watched as slowly but surely the hits were taking it's toll on the Mew. Still the battle was far from over. The shinobi quickly glanced at the Croagunk and then nodded slightly."Takeshi. Chiyome. Again!"
The Charmander gave a roar before running to try and Bite down! He was missing the taste of blood as he let the bloodthirsty nature take over his soul.
Chiyome felt a little pleased. One hit but it was still a hit she had landed. The Scyther rose into the air, swinging a silver glowing wing ready to strike at the Croagunk with glowing eyes with a Steel Wing!
Scyther [F] Chiyome, Level 4 Nature: Lonely Stats: HP: 20/20/PP:20/ATK:16/DEF:10/SPD;14/SP-ATK:10/SP-DEF:12 MOVES: - Steel Wing - Leer - Focus Energy EXP: 30/125 Bio: Takeshi and Gin were traveling through the Foggy Forest when they were challenged by a Scyther! The pokemon loved the thrill of the battle and had a high energy level along with a certain bloodlust. Curious, Gin watched as Takeshi deemed the pokemon worthy and so the shinobi caught her.

Goodness. They'd certainly upset the Mew, hadn't they? Alice smiled slight through her fear; this said something for the power of teamwork! Or the power of superior numbers, which might have been the same thing at this point. Alice was trying to stay optimistic, which proved to be a bit tricky as the Legendary lost its temper. Still... not point in backing down now. But a change of plan couldn't hurt. "Vorpal, change your tactic to Swords Dance. Basil and Maddie, stay the same with Confusion and Charge Beam." It took all her self-control to keep her voice steady; she daren't upset her Pokemon.
Vorpal made a disgruntled sound. He wanted to fight! And look at that smug Croagunk. All Croagunk looked smug as hell. Therefore, he needed to punch it. But he preferred to listen to Alice... and he didn't strictly have a reason to disobey. He spun in a circle, listening to the sound of his own power.
A slight smile crossed Basil's features, far more mischievous than normal. If he could land this... ohohohohoho. Ohohohoho. He'd have a graaaaaaaaaand time. He shut his eyes, and blasted out a horrifying image he'd become inured to-- Deoxys posing on rock dressed in silly outfits. Feed on that! Live with the Confusion!
WOO! She'd done the thing again! The zappy zappy thing! Maddie bounced up and down, loving the feeling of electricity in her veins. How cool was this? SO COOL, SO COOOOOOOOL. And it was time to do it again? SPLENDIFEROUS! >SHA-KA-BOOOOOOOOM!< she shouted, shooting the energy right out her forehead.

Crossing his arms, Jekyll would somehow manage to c**k his bulging eyes into a skeptical look ">I'm flattered but....am I really that fat?<" He asked, moving his hands to what passed for hips on his species.
"No time for admiring yourself Jekyll" Argyle said dryly, they needed to be quick if they didn't want to miss their chance at being part of this. Luckily they had the perfect move for this...the ultimate weapon against Jekyll....was Jekyll. "Use Mud-slap!" Argyle commanded, pointing up at the Mew gone Croagunk "Sybelle back him up with Astonish, and Thanatos use Ancient Power!"
Sybelle would vanish as her species often did, appearing inches from the Mew. It wasn't her fault most other Pokemon couldn't levitate. ">Hey hey! Have we met? I swear you look so familiar...<" She said, striking up a conversation as she twisted upside-down and pondered ">....mom?<" These words were quickly followed by a slap of her tongue. Astonishing!
Thanatos at this time was tapping the ground with his bone, causing spots to glow in various colours. Metal creaked and grated as it bend, stone from deep beneath the facility pushing and tearing it's way through. When he had three sizeable rocks the same height as himself, the Cubone would direct them to slam into the Mew one after the other.
Jekyll would respond surprisingly quick. Apparently he didn't have a problem with messing up his own fabulous visage. Shoving a hand in his mouth, the Croagunk would gather up the remaining 'mud' from his last attack, Tossing it upward in order to slap the impetuous impostor in the face!
Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 6 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. Stats: HP: 23/23, PP: 24, ATK: 15, DEF: 11, SPD: 14, SP-ATK: 14, SP-DEF: 9 MOVES: - Astonish - Headbutt - Meditate - Mud-slap Held Item: Blue Scarf EXP: 38/175
Pokemon: Gastly [F] Name & Level: Sybelle, Lv 6 [Temperament] Impish Bio: While traversing the bizarre terrain of The Island of New Beginning's third ring, and after a particularly awful joke by Jekyll, Argyle would be altered to the presence of a Gastly by her insane giggling. Immediately seeing the advantages of owning a Ghost-type, the youth would go about putting on a comedy routine. Relying on an old act performed for his mistress's pets, and the hope that Jekyll would do his part, the pair sent the Gastly bowling over with laughter. So amused by the duo's antics, Sybelle decided to stick around in hopes of future entertainment. Stats: HP: 19/19, PP: 20, ATK: 11, DEF: 11, SPD: 16, SP-ATK: 16, SP-DEF: 11 MOVES: - Astonish - Ice Punch - Spite - Held Item: Nevermeltice EXP: 25/175
Pokemon: Cubone [M] Name & Level: Thanatos, Lv 5 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Argyle's meeting with Thanatos was the finale to a rather morbid series of encounters. Having confronted several Cubone prior, Argyle and his Pokemon had obtained quite the reputation among their number by the time he reached the burial site guarded by Thanatos. Strongly disapproving of Jekyll's lack of respect for the dead, the two soon came to blows....with Thanatos as the victor. Jekyll went down in a single blow, and as far as Thanatos had been concerned that was to be the end of it; but Argyle had other plans. Claiming it was compensation for knocking out Jekyll, the boy captured the Cubone in a single throw. Thanatos took this turn of events oddly well, remaining set in his goals regardless of the path he must take. Stats: HP: 21/21, PP: 21, ATK: 11, DEF: 16, SPD: 9, SP-ATK: 11, SP-DEF: 11 MOVES: - Ancient Power - Screech - - Held Item: EXP: 68/150
With all the attacks, Poppy didn't feel the need to share Croagunk's weaknesses and strengths this time. Instead, she directs her attention to Shinx. Another Howl would raise its attack more, and with the Mew so high up it was unlikely that Shinx could even hit it, and even if he could, it wouldn't do too much damage. If Shinx had status affecting moves she'd prefer to use those in this situation, but he could only boost his own attack and had one attack move. Hopefully this battle will make him stronger, and that would require him to attack at least once. With that in mind, she calls out her command to Shinx. "Shinx, use Night Slash."
Having learned to obey his trainer earlier on, he didn't complain when she first only had him using Howl even if he wanted to straight go for the kill, because he trusted she knew what she was doing. Plus, it boosted his spirit and made his attacks more likely to hit harder, and that was always much more satisfying. So with her newest command, he steps forward. >Is that thing really a legendary, being weakened so easily by the bunch of us? That Emolga would make a much better legendary that it, pssh!< Bounding forward, he tries to find something to jump against to try and reach the Mew with his Night Slash.
