As I am questing a Yaeli, I figured I'd clear some questions up
Are there other common superstitions on Yael besides their fear of mainlanders? From the species page:
Quote: The Yaeli are also incredibly superstitious in nature. They believe that if bad things are happening to them that the gods are displeased, and if something bad is happening to an individual that they have been hexed or there is someone out there sending them bad juju out of jealousy or anger. They believe in cleansing their houses of bad spirits and getting their children blessed at the Sanctum to protect them from the dead. Their list of superstitions can get pretty lengthy. The yaeli create superstitions out of everything. The extent of which is up to the individual player, but there is no limit to what they attribute to the gods' anger/blessings/spite/etc. Their superstitions are typically temporary ideas surrounding a specific event, so if someone in their family becomes ill, it's not uncommon for them to believe that they are ill because a neighbor is jinxing them out of jealousy or anger, or that the gods are displeased with their prayers or something along those lines. It's not a permanent superstition, meaning they won't attribute the same reasoning every time, and it's not something the entire people believe, just the ones that are being effected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do Yaeli dwellings and cities look like? What are common systems of travel for the everyday Yaeli between settlements and beyond? What is the level of technological advancement on Yael? Do they have machines, are most of their goods handmade? How do the Yaeli commonly get their food? Are they hunters? gatherers? farmers? Do they cook or just eat things as they find them? Would cooking do anything to the toxins?
Is there anything noticeably different about the Yaeli people and their culture from the rest of mainland Tendaji? No, the yaeli are at the same cultural and technological level as the rest of Tendaji. They use the same means of travel and the same materials for buildings and cities as the rest of the mainland, and use the same methods for hunting, gathering, and cooking as everyone else.
Would cooking the food do anything to Yaeli's toxin? This question is basically answered in the FAQ already:
Quote: Would the food on Yael cause any sort of illness to the other races? It's more like a funny tasting water sort of thing. The Yaeli have found ways to prep the food and drink to reduce any harm, it would just be a weird aftertaste to the other races. If they were to go out and forage for food themselves, there could be upset stomachs if the food is not prepped first.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the method of dealing with criminal behavior on Yael? (Especially interested because they were once criminals and outcasts themselves, do they remember that?)
How do the yaeli deal with criminals? The yaeli deal with criminals in much of the same way as the rest of Tendaji. It really depends on the severity of the crime. If someone was caught stealing, they might be detained in what is basically a jail and made to pay essentially a fine. If someone is caught for murder, the result might be sentencing that person to death themselves.
Do the yaeli remember far enough in their history to know that they were originally outcasts and criminals? It's been long enough that almost 20 generations have passed since the original people were sentenced to Yael. The people of Yael no longer know that their original ancestors to the island were criminals, somewhere along the lines deciding to omit that from their history.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do religion and spirituality play a role in the structure of Yael's society and culture besides officially governing and providing cleansing? Would you say that the Sanctum plays an active role in guiding Yaeli daily life or is it more passive and just there for people who seek out its' services? (I hope that makes sense). Do they have teachings or rituals?
Does the Sanctum have an effect on normal Yaelis' daily lives? Or are they just an official form of government? The Yaeli are a deeply religious people, and there are churches in all cities and villages for the people to attend service and find guidance through the priests and priestesses that are stationed there. They follow the teachings of the Sanctum in their daily lives and it plays a fairly large role for them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since the Yaeli believe in cleansing their children to protect them from the spirits of the dead, do they have superstitions revolving around death itself? How do they react when one of their own passes away?
Do the Yaeli have superstitions revolving around death? From the species page:
Quote: The yaeli believe in only two dieties: the Goddess and the God. Lurin is the God of the Land of the Remembered, a place where those who have died have living relatives to carry on their names and celebrate their life. Dafiel is the Goddess of the Land of the Forgotten, where souls come under the watch of their Mother when there is no longer anyone to mourn for them. The people of Yaeli believe that when a person dies they join one of the two gods. Usually there are those that mourn for and remember the one that died, so they go to join Lurin. Usually the dead join Dafiel years after death when there is no one left to mourn their name.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are the Yaeli aware that their island has toxins and thats what causes their eyes to glow and blackened their crystals and sclera? Is anyone aware ICly?
Does anyone know IC that the toxins are the cause for the Yaeli eye glow and their darkened colors? Not as fact. There is speculation, and there are theories, but it hasn't been proven without a doubt. Usually people refer to the cause for their dark colors as more of a story, or attribute it to the Gods.

Quote: A character must have access to the tier the weapon is in before purchasing. A character can only purchase one weapon per stage, this weapon will appear in their growth art so it must be purchased before growth. || Tier 2 can be purchased for growth to stage 2.
This is in the armory thread, but since the customized (and tempered) items are sold for EXP, and EXP is only readily gained at and after stage 2, how can a prentice->stage 2 character purchase them for growth?
Can a character growing from stage 2-3 or 3-4, etc purchase an item of a tier below them as a 'skin' or 'buff' on their item?
Can a character earn and purchase a customized/tempered item and 'upgrade' themselves with the state-changing potion, or is that item no longer available?
DraconicFeline World events, Shop Events, and Metas are open to prentice characters and release EXP when they include battling. As with all other parts of the shop, if a character has been in that stage, they have access to anything requiring that stage to be purchased (just like spells, custom items, stat boosters, and taming/crafting limits). Any weapon purchased from the custom weapon list acquires the stats of the character's current equipped stage (ex: if purchased for growth into stage 3, it will have keen stats). This weapon is only equipped for the stage purchased. The next stage the weapon will no longer be usable, and the character's weapon will resume the base appearance without purchasing new items. This announcement from October of 2015 details that the change of state item has been discontinued and can no longer be used.
