Pokélot Name: Northstar Island
Pokélot Owner: Alice Omega

Area - Crescent Beach: a favorite of many trainers for its cool atmosphere! It is a small island secluded by ocean water, which makes it harder to access by wild Pokemonand trainers alike. Though this security comes with a price; there is no fresh water here, so any Pokemon left here can die of dehydration if no water types are included in this place.

Pokemon Currently Stored: 0/3

All Pokemon store here gain+5 exp per battle
(If no water types are store here or alternative source of water found, -5 hp each battle for all Pokemon)

Other: N/A

Alice walked across the sandy beach, bouncing the capsule carefully in one of her hands. The other other held her shoes-- she wanted to know how the sand felt on her bare feet now that she had a beach... and feet. It squished, itching a bit, but the sensation kept her bouncing on her toes. "It's amazing," she murmured, bending down to trail her fingers in the salt water. "Eep!" she squeaked, slightly surprised at the water's brisk temperature.

The sound of metal scrapping over cloth made her start, and she turned around in confusion. "Vorpal?" she asked curiously, watching at the ghostly sword appeared to wiggle and flop over the beach. "Are you... okay?" Even after all the time she'd spent with him, she still wasn't fully capable of understanding Vorpal entirely. Communicating with something that didn't have a face and you couldn't talk to was tricky, but... well, the sound didn't appear to be made out of pain

As hard as it might have been to tell, Vorpal was actually laughing. An unusual thing for the more reserved sword, but this was proving to be a good and amusing. For several reasons-- he'd never seen Alice on the beach before, and it was hilarious. She'd used to be scared of the water, before Lankford and the others had worked on waterproofing her, and NOW look at her! If he had a heart, it would have been warmed. Also, the sand was useful for keeping clean... and he was somewhat ticklish. He gave one more sandy roll before shaking himself out, and then floated back to Alice's side, waving his banner to assure her he felt fine.

Unable to help giggling a bit more, Alice reached out and patted his hit. "Okay, okay, thank you. Let's do this... capsule thing." She'd finally found a good spot for the "new place"-- a cove under an overhang. It'd shield her from the wind while keeping her still close to the water. Hopefully, there wouldn't be too many issues with flooding. Taking a couple steps back, she arched her hand, pressed the button on the capsule, and threw it.

In a flash of smoke, oil, and what was probably classified as "magic", a small domicile. Opening the door, she scanned the place-- it was sparsely furnished, but she'd never been one to care about comforts like that. It covered the basic necessities of life while providing shelter, and that's really all she needed. She didn't have anything to drop off, so she just checked the place over (snickering as Vorpal made it his duty to poke everything in the house he didn't trust or recognize) and left. Now that she was done here, it was time to get properly started as a student at Akumu Academy.

As Alice made her way back to her Poke-lot, she could feel what little energy she had left drain out of her body. How long had she been on the island? And that incident during the holidays had taken a while. She was essentially solar-powered, but she needed to enter a low-power mode every week for maximum efficiency... and it had DEFINITELY been longer than a week. Alice couldn't stifle a yawn as her sleepy mind attempted to do the calculations. She yanked off her shoes as she stumbled over the sand, her eyelids growing heavier. "Gotta... Vorpal..." Falling against the door, she nearly tripped over the doorstop. As she fell onto the bed, she fumbled for the Pokeballs, releasing every member of her team. "Vorpal's in charge. Have fun." And without another care, she shut down.

Alice rose from her powered-down slumber rather peacefully. She yawned, savoring a deep breathe as her brain came back on line. Ahhh, that was better. She could keep going for a while, but sometimes, she just needed to shut down and let her body reset. Alice stretched, feeling the mechanisms deep within her whir and hiss to life. With a low whistle, she kicked herself up into a sitting position, gathering her thoughts. "Morning, everyone! I hope you all--"

>FOR THE GLORY OF THE SEA!<

Chaos. Pure chaos. It looked like a tiny tornado had ripped through the house. The kitchen upended, furniture flung all over the place... and somehow Vorpal had gotten tied up in the curtains. >I WILL END YOU, YOU GIBBERING UNDERCOOKED SALISBURY STEAK!< He hissed and spat, shaking his blade i nthe directly of the Tauros she'd captured, who was bucking and rearing about the house. So was Maddie, though she seemed a bit more focused, and had a certain ditz psychic-type on her back. They seemed to be chasing the rampaging Tauros... but more likely, they were just playing around. From the other end of the room, the Relicanth rested in the kitchen sink, taking a sip from a coffee cup. >So you're up, lass,< he remarked. >I tell ya, it's been a right duster since you've been conked.<

Well then. Alice blinked and sighed, shaking her head. At least the egg was still safe, tucked in at her side. Picking it up as she rose, she made her way over to Vorpal. "Okay, folks, we may need to set some ground rules..."

Well, at least the damage had been contained. Alice had recalled the Tauros (now named "Asterios" after a game she'd seen Lankford playing) and recruited everyone else's help in clean... including the sulking Honedge. Once satisfied they'd pass any inspection, she took a cup of coffee from the Relicanth (who'd accepted the name "Fingal" without any fuss) and prepared for the day. Finally, she'd go show her Professor how she'd done! She needed to impress him, both with her Pokemon and her appearance... which is how she ended up glancing in the mirror.

The outfit wasn't one she'd chosen on her own; rather, it was one of her "going-away" presents from Lankford. Her guardian might have been part helicopter; he desperately wanted to come with her to the academy, but she'd managed to talk him out of it by reminding him of how important his own work was. Alice had also refused the myriad of weaponry and strange chemicals he'd wanted her to take; they probably weren't legal, He'd still insisted she take all the clothes-- "what if you get cold? or have to go to a fancy dress party!"-- and she'd humored him.

At least he had interesting taste-- though she'd left the weird Lopunny ears behind, fastening the bow on her head firmly. Alice grinned down at the cute little stockings, and spun to flare out her skirt. The weird little robot didn't know the first thing about fashion, but her limited experience had told her pink was her favorite, even in eye-gouging amounts. She adjusted her backpack, assembled from the two baskets her Professor had given her, and allowed Vorpal to cling tightly to her arm. "Let's go!" she remarked, bouncing out onto the beach.
