Personality: Argyle is best described in only a couple of words: two faced. When standing before anyone in a superior position to himself, or those he is otherwise expected to play nice with, Argyle performs what is known as the Supermarket Smile. He maintains a friendly, polite, and over all cheerful demeanor, accompanied with only light jesting in order to project a rather positive image. A Butler must project an aura of calm and good will at all times after all, so that guests will feel comfortable in his presence. Of course this is only a carefully crafted facade, and in the presence of enemies, those of a lower rank, or anyone he deems unworthy of the effort required, Argyle drops the act and reveals his true self. In reality the boy is snarky, sarcastic, brutally honest in his opinions, and possessed of an impressively cruel sense of humor. A sadist in all its glory. Argyle is not one to hold grudges however, be advised though that he is also an utter hypocrite.
Bio Argyle is from a rather poor family ... or at least he assumes they're poor. Being that he is an orphan, the child has never actually met any of his blood relations, nor has he ever entertained the idea of finding any of them. They chose not to be a part of his quilted existence, so why should he add a patch to theirs? Genetic ties aside, Argyle is one of numerous orphans employed by House Rosevelt as servants. The head of this particular branch of the family, one "Annalise Rosevelt", is known as a rather shrewed woman.... correction, she is known as an utter shrew. Frivelous, short-sighted, vain, and utterly convinced these things are compliments, its rumored the rest of the family sent her to the far reaches of Kalos in order to keep her out of the way. It is because of these very same traits that she cannot be bothered to remember all the names of her servants. Hence she took in multiple orphans simply so that she could give them all the same name, the difference between each being number. Yes, Argyle is one of several such young men whom bare that name, specifically the third. Despite this he holds no ill will towards his mistress, bearing the opinion that sharing his name with others does not diminish the fact that he has employment and a roof over his head.
Argyle was directed to join the Academy after his Mistress got into a ... heated debate with other members of her lineage as to her value to both the family and the Organization. Seeking to prove her worth, and that her title as Admin for her location was indeed deserved, she demanded that Argyle go and become a prominent member of the Academy. After all if a lowly Butler can perform so splendidly than his Mistress must be a truly amazing person! Thus the boy embarked on his adventure in the world of Pokemon, pleased for being given the opportunity to be far, far, far away from his mistress.

Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 10 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. Pokemon: Gastly [F] Name & Level: Sybelle, Lv 7 [Temperament] Impish Bio: While traversing the bizarre terrain of The Island of New Beginning's third ring, and after a particularly awful joke by Jekyll, Argyle would be altered to the presence of a Gastly by her insane giggling. Immediately seeing the advantages of owning a Ghost-type, the youth would go about putting on a comedy routine. Relying on an old act performed for his mistress's pets, and the hope that Jekyll would do his part, the pair sent the Gastly bowling over with laughter. So amused by the duo's antics, Sybelle decided to stick around in hopes of future entertainment. Pokemon: Cubone [M] Name & Level: Thanatos, Lv 6 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Argyle's meeting with Thanatos was the finale to a rather morbid series of encounters. Having confronted several Cubone prior, Argyle and his Pokemon had obtained quite the reputation among their number by the time he reached the burial site guarded by Thanatos. Strongly disapproving of Jekyll's lack of respect for the dead, the two soon came to blows....with Thanatos as the victor. Jekyll went down in a single blow, and as far as Thanatos had been concerned that was to be the end of it; but Argyle had other plans. Claiming it was compensation for knocking out Jekyll, the boy captured the Cubone in a single throw. Thanatos took this turn of events oddly well, remaining set in his goals regardless of the path he must take. Personality: Jin-Hua is eager to prove herself to her family and also to allow her older brother to acknowledge her. She is desperate to protect her family especially her two youngest siblings. But she is also one that struggles with self-worth. Trying desperately to please everyone doesn't exactly leave much room for herself.
Bio Jin-Hua has had a bit of a tough life. From her birth, she has always been a disappointment to her parents. Her older brother Wei-Sheng is perfect in every way. He is a prodigy that rose up the ranks very easily alongside his first pokemon, his starter Growlithe Yongrui. Everything he did, he succeeded in. Meanwhile, her parents hoped that their second child would be a boy as well. Unfortunately she was born a girl. As she was growing older, her parents named her Jin-Hua (gold tiger) in order for her to become something great like her brother. While she was smarter then an average person, she didn't turn out to be the same prodigy level as her brother. The Xun family was a particularly old and powerful rich family that was also very well-known. As the second oldest child, she needed to prove herself worthy of the family name. But it wasn't going too well. Instead of being somewhat girly and married off to some other rich family to gain connections, Jin-Hua was the complete opposite. She loved fighting and pokemon, and other stuff that was not suitable for a young lady.Her family wanted to send someone off to the Academy, in order to have a pair of eyes on the ground there and to ensure that the family has even the tiniest bit of power/leverage in the Academy. Jin-Hua volunteered to be the child who attends, because she didn't want her little siblings being put in a dangerous position like that, knowing that even if she can't always protect them, she can keep them from the academy. Furthemore, it will give her a place to train, so when she does return to her family, she can protect them.

Personality: Curious, affable, and somewhat literal-minded, Alice often comes across as a ditz, or at least "not quite there". This isn't entirely accurate-- her upbringing taught her awareness of the feelings and actions of others, and she's often concerned for the comfort of the other people around her. Still, Alice's sheltered life and overprotective caretaker have left her remarkably naive, easily confused by idioms, and not the best at reading the room. Furthermore, her impulsive inquisitiveness often leads her headfirst into trouble. Since she doesn't have a very strong sense of self (or self esteem, at times), she's likely to do stupid and potentially dangerous things without thinking of the consequences. But for all her flaws, she does her best to be caring and enthusiastic. Having only ever had drones, scientists, and a floating sword for company, she's eager to make friends... even if she's clumsy both emotionally and physically.
Bio: Alice's records states her age is twelve-- and that's not technically inaccurate. Significant parts of her are twelve... it's just that she's had some add-ons over the years. Alice, or Unit Alpha as the coordinator originally designated her, was a security drone at an experimental laboratory in LaRousse City. Her AI unable to do anything but scan for intruders and set of alarms, she certainly wasn't destined for anything more than the expected five years of use before being recycled and turned into a trash can. But fate is an odd things. The scientists behind Project A1-C3, or "Down the Rabbit Hole", intended to discover if they could create a self-sustaining and self-aware robotic AI. They performed numerous experiments on various automatons, but to know avail. Only the late-night insanity of Ken Lankford, one of the more... dedicated scientists, had success. After all, who else but a sleep-deprived, desperate, and probably drunk tester would think shoving a Twisted Spoon into a hapless defense drone was a good idea?
And it might not have been a good idea, but that doesn't mean it didn't work. Unit Alpha showed signs of sapience early on, and proved to be eager to learn. Lankford took a particularly protect interest in the drone, teaching it whatever it whatever seemed stimulating. Eventually, he argued that building Unit Alpha a new, more human body could benefit the AI's development, and pulled it off. (Rumors that the AI's new resembles Lankford's ex-wife and childhood crush as a young girl were never completely confirmed.) Given the name Alice, she was given more training, but the higher-ups at the labs were more interested in her applications in the real world. It was decided she would be sent to Akumu Academy to test her capabilities in action... and while Lankford's on pins and needs, Alice couldn't be happier.

He might have potentially felt a connection between himself as a creature with unusual life energy and the gradually sapient robot. For whatever reason, he became her playmate and her protector, much to Lankford's dismay. The scientist was more that a bit overprotective of his ward, and this weird pointy ghost was a problem. In response to the overbearing geek, Vorpal became his constant annoyance. Vorpal feigns not caring, but he's just as irritated by Lankford. Regardless, he genuinely cares about the strange girl, and aims to stay at her side as a protector for as long as he can.

Personality: Kiani is not the type to mince words. She's always been known as the calm, quiet type. Kiani loves pokemon, absolutely adores them, but tries not to let her emotions show on her face when others are around. She doesn't care for people all that much, so when she's around people, she comes off as apathetic and brusque. She's more mature than most thirteen year olds, and is often quite serious. Extremely intelligent and she will do what it takes to complete her missions no matter the cost.
Bio: Though born with the name Anastasia, Kiani never responded to the name and so her family and friends slowly stopped using it. In fact, the only reminder of her name is on her birth certificate as she would only introduce herself as Kiani. Her great grandparents, grandparents, parents, and countless generations before them had all been in Team Rocket from the beginning and it was considered a family tradition to join them. However, Kiani's family had another tradition. At the age of ten, Kiani's parents moved her into the small guest house on their property. This was to teach her independence. She excelled and it was actually quite peaceful. Kiani had five older siblings who had all gone through this as well, and two twin younger brothers who would be going through it as well. At thirteen, her parents sent her to the Academy and her ten year old brothers were moved into her home. Kiani would be expected to find her own way in the world when she exits. Kiani is the pride of her family, because even at the age of six, she had always dreamed of being at the academy.

Name: Sullivan Peyton Jr., though he prefers being called by his last name. Missions Completed Age: 11 Sex: Male Description: Height: 5’0 Weight: 102 lbs Hometown: Vermilion Class Longinus
Personality: Peyton is a more laid back person, not out of some innate desire to learn about his enemies in order to destroy them from the inside, but rather he enjoys listening. He’s very attentive and prefers to sit back and watch how things play out instead of taking center stage. As for people who do that, he doesn’t have a very high opinion of them. This is probably to spite the more… crass members of his family of which there are many. While most children starve from a lack of attention, Peyton thrives in it. He prefers independence over pity in order to come to his own conclusions though he’s been known to take an eternity and a half getting there. Though poke at his endeavors by calling them useless or the like and he’ll be bound to cut the aloofness.
He's learned to do and take what he needs to come out on top, mostly by competing for things with his siblings. Peyton is more wit and guile than brute force, but he has the drive for competition. Bio: Peyton grew up as the middle child of five. There was Cormac, Donal, him, Murtagh, and Annie. All but him- well as far as he cared to gather- were all the same person in different bodies. Loud, abrasive, shouting about how they would leave home in order to become the very best. As you'd figure from someone his age, Peyton was prone to loathe them. Not fitting in was one thing, but he needed to prove himself he felt. If he could succeed there then he would be truly better than them. His father was a dock worker and his mother stayed at home, so life at Vermilion was what it was for just about everyone else in that city. It was hard for him to fathom ever leaving the city- and if he did it would have been to move to Celadon to pursue a life away from their obnoxious antics. Personality: For the most part, Alexander is a rather cheerful fellow, sporting a smile or grin more often than not. He has no qualms about introducing himself to someone he finds interesting. Most of his lines tend to be rather cheesy or dull, but occasionally he'll say something genuinely clever. Then again, most of the time he's purposely trying to be cliched so that the person he's talking to will laugh about it. Although, his humor can have a bit of a sick twist to it from time to time, for the most part he really is friendly. Just... A bit quick to violence when provoked.
When in peaceful environments, the young man is often relaxed, although his definition of relaxing is apt to include fiddling with some new hobby or other. When stressed out by danger or too many fluctuating emotions, though, one will notice that Alexander's attitude seems to sway with that of the group he's around. Sorrow among the group will likely bring out anxiety, while anger could easily provoke rage. Granted, he has had practice in keeping from getting too out of control, but practice in keeping calm only works to a certain point, and can actually make things worse once he loses control. Those who do not realize the difference in damage between a vent letting out its gasses over time and a plug suddenly popping because too much gas has built up quickly learn it when they see a Libra snap after biting their tongue for a moment too long.
Of course, that is not to say that all of Alexander's reactions are so cut and dry. It is not plausible for every group he should hang around to have every member share the same emotions all the time. When there are too many different emotions, or too many conflicting opinions, the Libra is apt to shy away from the people around him or just close up completely. This is not from fear of the people themselves, but fear of saying the wrong thing and setting off the entire group. Even more strongly than most, Alexander feels this fear, although he is not sure of why it strikes him so harshly. There will even be times that he allows his own opinion to fade into nothing, just so that he doesn't cause any trouble for the people around him. Other times, though, he will stand his ground, especially if he feels that it is particularly important for him to do so.
Bio: Life in Castellia was fairly normal, if boring. Alexander went to school, did chores around the house, slacked off on busywork, the whole kid thing. The only thing about his life that was interesting was being able to go visit his great uncle Lawrence out in Ecruteak. The old man was pretty interesting, and the surrounding area was more than good enough for him to romp around when he got too irritated or anxious. Better than having to sit inside all the time and rot his brains out with television or whatever. It was during one of these summer stays at the old man's place when he got a call from his parents. Apparently some school actually wanted to take him in for the next term. Figuring it was better than wasting another year at whatever school he was shuffled into in Castelia, Alexander figured he might as well go along with the idea.

His previous handler hatched him from an egg and felt that he was better suited in the hands of one of his relatives. Some nephew or something like that. So he got put in a pokeball and was stuck hanging around until summer, when the kid came to visit. Apparently it was a regular deal or something. He got given to the kid, and the rest was history. Personality: Loud, outgoing, and quite rash. Hiro has a firm belief that he is the best, and that no one can out do him. Even if he loses, he chalks it up to having a bad day. Literally, he is arrogant without a good cause.
Bio: Hiro is a very strange creature, though his life story is a bit tragic. He was a resident of the human village near Parma Town, and probably would have continued to live a peaceful and calm life there as well. But one day, his entire village was wipe off the face of the earth, and somehow he survived it. Yet, he had no memory of what happen, and the only clue seems to be the tattoo on his face. Confused and not knowing what to do next, the boy wondered aimlessly.
Three days later, he was found and rescued by a family of bulbasaurs. They felt sorry for him, and decided to take him in. Though they quickly discovered his loss of memory and his over active imagination, which probably developed as a coping mechanism for his trauma. Everyone figured he would simply grow out of it, and thus, they took him to Parma village and he lived there every since.
In all that time, his imagination hadn't gotten any weaker or less creative, and thus, when he declares he was going to be the world's strongest trainer ....there wasn't anything they could do to change his mind. Especially since he couldn't understand them, and thus, it was decided that the eldest child would go with him, because, she seemed to have the most patience with the human boy.
Thus, Blight ended up traveling with him to a new continent to help him become the world's greatest trainer or at the very least keep him from being eaten by anything.

A kindred spirit in term of hating the cold and snow, he couldn't pass the Pokemon by. Thus, Hiro picked him up and took him out of the snow with the promise of letting the Pokemon decide where he wanted to go. Eventually, though, Fluke would choose to join him. A lucky break in a snowy mountain.

Personality: Most of the time, Rhys is a relatively cheerful boy. Outwardly, anyway. He's always thinking, and resourceful for someone with so few years. When meeting new people he is polite, until they have proven that he should be otherwise. It's rare for him to raise his voice out of anything other than excitement. He generally cares about others too, until, like mentioned before, they prove they aren't worth the thought. If you've wronged Rhys enough, or those he calls friend, he'll have no remorse in leaving you to some horrible fate. He isn't above ordering his pokémon to attack another human either.
Rhys is otherwise a big fan of trial and error. Should he become curious with a subject, he'll often take a very direct route to discovering its secrets. He has enough tact not to embarrass himself or others in public, usually. He is however often quite willing to go places he isn't supposed to.
Bio: A local terror once he could walk, Rhys was a busy body when he was younger. He was into everything, and quite the explorer. Often he was found outside of town, numerous times with injuries. This became slightly less infrequent with a ninja frog to help look after him.
Pre-School was a nightmare too. Often he would have found his way out a window when he got bored in class. Or, more likely, asked something more along the lines of disturbing whenever possible. Most especially in history.
When he was old enough and decided pokémon was where he wanted to be, Akumu was the only real academy that would take him. Something about how his past self was so rambunctious and wild. Never did they realize that he had quickly developed his mindset into something far more useful than some brat wandering out of a classroom.

Personality: Ethan tends to be a shy and reserved person when around strangers and sometimes has a hard time speaking. He is a bit pessimistic about himself, but a optimist regarding others. However, he does have a bit of a temper since he grew up with fighting type Pokemon and sometimes overdoes it when hes the one fighting. But then again wouldn't you if you got forced to 'train' with Machokes and Hitmonlee?
Bio:Ethan was raised in a small home right outside of Mt Silver,however his parents weren't the ones who truely raised him like most kids.He was actually raised by the Pokemon who lived there with him while his parents were away, one of them basically translated using its Psychic powers to help him understand. But his mother was a Pokemon 'Ranger', while his father was a Archeologist. Both of them seemed to always be busy with their jobs and travelling, his mother used Fighting and ghost type pokemon with her job. The Ghost types helped her investigate when the time came to it along with getting through some frightening situations, the fighting type Pokemon helped when she needed some additional muscle for it. But thats not all that they did, for Ethan the fighting type pokemon helped him grow strong so that he could handle the bullies when the time came for it in school, along with making it so he could do more of the occasional housework when need be. And the majority of what was left at home was the Fighting types. His father used what you'd expect from a Archeologist, he had a couple of rock types, one Psychic type pokemon and a fairy type. But the ones he left at home were a bit different than the ones he travelled with, his father thought it was wise to keep Water and Grass type pokemon at home. Ethan didn't really know why, but he figured it was incase they ever needed help with the outdoor chores or if a flood happened. Which, nearly did happen once or twice. Somehow or another Ethan wound up enrolled in Akumu Academy, and met his starter Pokemon Croak on the way there..

Personality: In comparison to others his age, Tao has an extremely high stress-level. This makes him often seem very tired and can lead to small outbursts of anger. Such bouts of anger do not last long due to being somewhat out of shape and often leave him exhausted. He is easily irritated by almost anything that’s bothering him, except for friends. He is also very knowledgeable to an almost prodigious level, if it weren’t for his inability to socialize. He tends to keep his warmer feelings bottled up not because he doesn’t want others to know but because he’s not used to expressing himself without exploding with stress. He is accustomed to massive amounts of studying to the point that he hates it. There is almost nothing that Tao does without a sigh or rubbing his tense shoulders.
Bio: When Tao was little, he had once run away from home into Granite Cave. He was astounded and filled with wonder at what he saw in there. When he returned home, his parents were extremely angry with him and he was grounded for a very long time. He was treated like a tool in order to fulfill his parents wish for power. He would be left locked in his room for days on end with nothing but books and enough food to live on. When he was rarely let out of the house, he would meet up with a small group of friends. He wasn’t that close to them but it was the best he had to having fun. Once he had reached the age of twelve, he had been given a pokemon and shipped off toward Akumu without a second thought. His parent were probably hoping he would become rich and powerful so they’d profit off his success. To Tao, this was an entirely new and bizarre twist in his life. He hoped his story was about to take a turn with much more freedom than its previous chapter.

Personality: Karasu was the calm one of the brothers. In fact, he closely resembled his father the most. He was a quick thinker, fairly good at coming up with strategies and keeping cool in battle. Because of the lifestyle he led, he became an expert at keeping his emotions in check. He had too many people he couldn't afford to let down like his mother and his younger brother. While he wasn't introverted, he wasn't an extravert either. Since he already had a lot of things to handle, he was often seen as a loner. There was no time for him to spend hanging out with other people or time to waste when any day could be his last in the village. Some of the people in the village called him cold-blooded because of his lack of emotions but also how seriously he would take everything. Even at the academy in his shinobi pouch, he carries three books he was given from Miyuki, his mother. A guide book about shinobi rules and guidelines so he would never forget, a book about his father that had all his personality and different sayings and beliefs he held so that he would know and remember him even if they couldn't be around each other, and a third book that remained a mystery because he hadn't looked at it yet. While there are very few times Karasu will lose his temper, he would be a silent but deadly emotionless killer. If on his bad side, there will be no sympathy nor second chances. He'll cut off all emotions and become a killing machine. Shinobi are supposed to be able to control their emotions and cut them off completely if the mission needs to be completed. For people that try to befriend or talk to him, he'll say very little or almost nothing. He's not used to having friends so it will take a patient person to attempt to get him to open up. It can take a long period of time but eventually he might be persuaded to give more then one word or short sentence answers. But just because he isn't friends with a person doesn't mean if he sees someone in trouble, he won't come to their aid or help protect them. His life revolves around strength because of his family situation. On the other hand, he is a lot more open around his pokemon. There is no problem with talking to them or training with them as he and Koga both have the same goals.

They lived in a village far away hidden deep in the mountains but then were discovered and brought to a larger village west of Ecruteak City. It was there that they were told the truth about their father. He was a very well-known shinobi that the village knew and loved. Their mother was very paranoid and kept them in the dark, not wanting to say a word to the male about how he had two sons. Instead the paranoia was passed on to her sons. Karasu was careful, always cautious trying to keep covered up and never get caught. However Gin after reaching a certain age began to rebel and loath the fact that his family was living in fear. One day, his father found out who he was and saw that he was his son. Fearing for his life and the lives of his family, he fled back home. After discussing this with his mother, the whole family were about to leave, when Gin decided to throw a tantrum and let loose his anger. He didn't want to leave, he basically told his brother that it was his fault that they were in this situation and that he should be the only one to leave. Karasu, feeling guilty, agreed. His mother at first argued they should stick together as a family but it was in vain. Eventually she gave word of the academy where Karasu could go and gain strength. As he was getting ready to leave to attend, his brother Gin vowed to become stronger then their father and vengeance would be his. Eventually he would make sure he was the strongest shinobi in their village and when that time came, he would be sure to bring Karasu back out of his exile and together they could punish their father.

Starter Pokemon: Magikarp Name & Level: Kenpachi, Lv 3 [Temperament] Jolly Bio: Aurora met Kenpachi while her and her brother were fishing one day. Aurora's brother handed her the fishing pole. When she got a bite, She quickly reeled it in with the help of her brother. a Magikarp flew out of the water and high in the sky before landing on the ground and flailing all over the place. Since Aurora reeled the pokemon in and thought it was the coolest pokemon ever, she ask her brother to catch it for her. He did gave the Magikarp to her. Personality: While his older brother was the calm one of the two, Gin is the hot tempered one. Quick to lose his temper, acts rashly and eager for violence and killing. He had a slightly more outgoing nature but it was also overpowered by his bloodthirsty nature. While at the shinobi academy, he quickly rose through the ranks and was popular around his peers. His older brother had to shoulder the burden they carried and while Gin also had to deal with it, his burden was minimal. He was able to have friends and do a lot more. However people eventually realized just how dangerous and powerful he was becoming. After rising through the ranks, he felt he only needed a little more strength. It was time for him to find Akumu Academy, join and be reunited with his brother. Together after all this strength, they could fight and kill their father and be able to live in peace. But inside of Gin, he has such a strong bloodlust, it is extremely hard to satisfy.

He joined Akumu Academy determined to live out his exile away. It was after Karasu left that Gin began to act out even more. He was filled with fury because things had turned out this way and became obsessed with revenge. Revenge so that he could kill his father and so that his older brother could return to the village. It was at this time, he began to rise in the ranks. Strength, power and his rising bloodlust became his true friends. There was nothing else. He rose so quickly that it began to spread through the village. He then decided to leave and join Akumu Academy in search of his brother. Once together, they could decide what path to take and how best to kill their father. Only then could they be at peace with their family. It also helped that strength was a never-ending cycle.

He intervened, they found side by side and together won. The Charmander deemed him strong and bloodthirsty and so they became partners. It would seem that the Charmander he had come across came from a long generation of more feral fire lizards because of the spikes seen on his back and his one track mind. Personality: Alistair is a bundle of insecurities wrapped in several layers of familial expectation. At heart, Alistair is something of a typical teen: awkward, shy, nervous, and self-conscious. He's curious to the point of nosiness, and tends to put his foot in his mouth. He seeks validation, but tends to be rather clumsy when it comes to self-expression. He's bookish, and loves random trivia. All these traits are exacerbated by an upbringing that's taught him he has to be the best, or he's nothing at all. This isn't to absolve him of his issues: Alistair can be rude, egotistic, and cruelly blunt. He's somewhat self-centered, and will do whatever it takes to gain a foothold He's been raised to look down on people of lower social status, and hasn't exactly learned this isn't a good way to go through life. All in all, Alistair is a mess. A mess that's learned how to dress well and present himself to society, but a mess.
Bio: Being of an old money family from Alto Mare, Alistair was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. Fine housing, the best education, all the comforts money could buy; in theory, these were all at Alistair's pampered fingertips. The reality was somewhat more muddled. The Blackwells, while wealthy, have an interesting place in the global economy, and a history of generalized insanity. The family is deeply invested in appearances, and willing to do whatever it takes to get to the top. Furthermore, there isn't really a good grasp on "parenting" on "teaching others to be good siblings": children are encouraged to be as physical or verbal vicious to each other as possible, and the adults can be even worse. Alistair's father, the Blackwell patriarch, took the concept of "being fruitful and multiplying" a little too seriously. There is a frightening amount of his spawn running the Blackwell estate and various sublets. And perhaps unsurprisingly, few of them were "legitimate", in the manner of the bloodline, Alistair included. However, as far as Julian Blackwell was concerned, they were all legitimate potential heirs. A bit of an eccentric, a firm believer in bootstraps theory, and a person completely unfit to be a parent, the Blackwell patriarch proposed this to his children: in five years, whichever of his children gains the most power and prestige will be his heir. The rest will be thrown out and ostracized. This proclamation agitated an already-fractious family group; children and adults alike were vicious, just as likely to hurt each other as they were to help. But now, they're all pitted against one another, with only their non-Blackwell parent on their side.
Which left Alistair in a tricky situation. His mother, a myopic former debutante and gold-digger extraordinaire, has no concept of anything beyond society, and in some ways resents her son for "slowing her down", so he'll find no help from her. And his siblings... well, his natural softness already marked him as a lesser child, so he's got no loyalties there. He's not ruthless enough for the social world, not savvy enough for the business world... all he has is his Pokemon and frenzied need to prove himself. So desperate to make a name for himself, Alistair sought out Akumu Academy, a known institution of the Organization. Team Rocket had been something of a "rock star" mafia back in the day, unlike those Hoenn eco-hippies or those Unova ren-faire idiots. So he comes to Akumu hoping to find his own name... and perhaps himself in the process.

Starter Pokemon: Emolga [F] Name & Level: Lucianna, Level 5 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: When a young Alistair found an Emolga playing around the garden several years ago, he couldn't possibly have realized the impact she'd have on his life. He rather liked the friendly and affectionate creature, but it was considered a foreign rat by his mother and various other Blackwell hanger-ons, so the order went out of exterminate her. But the Emolga proved to be far smarter than anyone could have expected, and frighteningly determined to stay with her new friend. After the second destruction of the main kitchen, it was deemed that Alistair was allowed to keep his obnoxious little pet provided he could keep her under control. Ecstatic to have something that wanted to be around him, he dubbed the cheerful little rodent "Lucianna" to make his mother happy (after her own mother), but tends to call her Lucy when it's just the two of them.
