Ray just didn't know what he was feeling right now. He had just met up with his aunt a while ago, and to be honest he thought that they were going to get into a fight. Ok correction, Ray would have gotten into a fight. Even though Ray was terribly shy, he's known his aunt pretty much his entire life, it wasn't hard to talk to her unless he was extremely moody.... like he was right now. He ran a hand through his hair, biting the bottom of his lip hard. He hadn't meant to draw blood, but he had. He had been so angry with his aunt when he first came here. It always felt like she was trying to make him believe that his sister was really dead, that there was no mistake in that fact. He didn't believe if of course, something deep inside him screamed out that it was all a lie. Rina was alive and she just needed to be found, that was all. At least that's how it felt the first week he came here, now he was losing all hope that Rina was alive, in fact he was drowning in the guilt of him being the cause of her death. After not seeing her for all this time, after thinking about everything for so long. He shoved that one light, that one thought, that one hope that maybe his sister wasn't dead but alive. He knew better now, and after talking to his aunt about it he knew he was hating her for the wrong reasons.
No, he didn't hate her because he thought she was calling him a liar... he hated her because she was right. Ray just couldn't accept it, is still trying not to accept it. However, the reality of the situation has changed him. He's met new people, made two great friends who have been there for him and well... maybe it was time to accept that his sister was really gone. It saddened him, and he still had doubts that him moving on without her, his other half, was wrong. It felt so WRONG. Yet everyone around him was telling him that it was the right course of action, that moving on would make Rina happy. He sighed, wiping his eyes a bit with his sleeve. What would Rina do if she had been in his situation? Would she have been as upset as him, would she be an emotional wreck, would she even... even miss him like he missed her? It was a question that ran through his head everyday, Rina didn't need him to survive. Ray on the other hand needed Rina to live properly, he needed her to function. He stared up at the sky "why'd you take her from me? Why not me instead?" he questioned, his brows knit together. As the words left his mouth though, his friends voices popped into his head. He remembers what they said, and he sighed softly, running a hand through his hair again. They wanted him to live, to stop thinking like this. So why couldn't he? Was it because he was alone right now?
He did tend to think very negatively when alone, that was something that Ray couldn't deny even if he wanted to. However, he couldn't just bug his friends all day because of his insecurities, they had their own lives to live after all. That's when he thought about what his aunt said, and he pondered over it. Maybe that was why Koru was sad, and probably mad at him. He had hurt her, in a way that he didn't realize. Had he hurt her but trying to avoid her? He had good intentions, he didn't want her to be dragged down with him. She was too good to be hanging around with someone so depression and damaged as he was. Heck he still had trouble wrapping his head around the fact that Marcus and Elijah were still wanting to be his friend after everything he told them. He pursed his lips, his eyes shifting to the outfit Elaine had given him. Her words rang in his head, 'Rina made this for you'. He couldn't just ignore this, this was something his sister had made. In a way it was something very precious to him, and she had wanted him to wear it.
He wasn't really planning to dress up or anything, but now he couldn't afford not to. This was something from his sister for heavens sake! So with that in mind, he found a good place to change. He followed the directions his sister had provided, as he managed to put the wig on properly. He then struggled to put on the silver colored contacts on, cursing a few times as the lens slipped out of his eyes once or twice. Once that was done he slipped on the costume and walked out. He didn't really feel like bringing the bat out with him, he'd probably get in trouble if he brought that with him. He sighed, Rina had said it would make him look 'so freaking cool' yeah right. Once he was finished he walked out a bit embarrassed, would anyone even recognize him in these clothes? Not that it mattered much, might as well get to the festival or whatever now.
