filler Chael ignored the other students and whatever look Faye gave him. Rushing in had been foolish, but she had been the one who riled him up. He'd just need to prepare more for the next inevitable battle. The boy simply walked past the students who came to give their condolences, shrugging them off in order to get to the Nurse's office. At least one student told him where it was. Chael was only after self satisfaction, not the pity of others. What use was that anyways? Anyone who needed to rely on other people, as far as he was concerned, lived a sad sad existence. The only people who's approval actually mattered were the faculty members (and that was simply not to be expelled) and his Pokemon Nysa. Other people were annoying- like Rhoades! Or her band of sympathizers.
Maybe it was pride that made him divide people into two categories, one being him and the other being everyone else, but he didn't seem to mind. At least Pokemon weren't inclined to judge you. They only liked or disliked you based on how your treated them, which Chael could appreciate. He didn't give sway to anyone he met, but people still found reason to be horrible. Catching another Pokemon popped into his mind, but he'd rather not catch a random Pokemon just for the sake of catching a random Pokemon.

Maria woke up early and got ready. Getting to the cafeteria the brunette Flygon and her Pokémon ate their breakfast. She told them to eat light for what reason Espurr wasn’t sure. Though, he was curious about finding out. Looking to Lillipup he just went with it. Eating some fruit, Maria looked down at her Pokémon with a smile. “Shall we?”She asked curiously. “Pup pup!” (Yeah let’s go!) Lillipup agreed happily. “Purr?”(Go where?)Espurr questioned before being thrown on Lillipup’s back.
Maria and Lillipup lead the way to the track and field. She’s started coming out here in the morning and decided that Espurr should be a part of it. Smiling at her Pokémon she looked down at them as she double checked her laces. This morning, Maria was in black shorts and a t-shirt. “Alright, here’s the game plan. First we stretch, second we run.”She said. Espurr looked up at her with some confusion as Lillipup got down in a downward dog stance.“Come on Espurr, try touching your toes.” Maria said as she did so. Espurr copied her movement along the way. The two bending from side to side to get all stretched out and loose.
“Alright, one lap around the track, take it nice and steady.”Maria told them. “Don’t worry Espurr, just do your best. We’ll do it together.” She told him with a smile. “Okay, ready… set…”As she spoke she got into position, Lillipup jumped down into her ready stance, and Espurr tried his best to copy Maria for the most part. “Go!” She called out. Lillipup was first to spring making a mad dash along the track. Maria was next off the ‘block’, Espurr following suit. The brunette took it slow so that Espurr could keep up, even Lillipup began to slow down a bit to keep in pace with the others. It was supposed to be exercise before battle class not a complete workout.
It took a bit but the three managed to get around the track in one piece. “You did great Espurr. And you too Lillipup.” She told them both. “Es espurr.” (Thank you.) Espurr said happily.“Pup pup!”(You know it!)Lillipup was confident in her ability of running. She was so ready for battle class.

The morning was bit a little colder than usual. It was a truly fall day and in not too long the students would be experiencing their first winter at the school. Despite the slightly frigid air Koru, wrapped in a zig-zag patterned scarf, was fired up with her pokemon in their daily training. Luckily both of her pokemon had fire in them, keeping them warmer that others- she felt bad for water types in the cold. Cyndaquil’s back flame was spurting, indicating it had been a while since training started and he was getting to be too tired for anymore. Fletchling chirped content right next to him. In couple of feet in front of them stood what looked like a little obstacle course. There were blunt wooden stakes sticking unevenly from the ground. At the end of this course was the zig-zag clad Koru, smiling at them,"Okay guys this’ll be the last one okay?"Cyndaquil and Fletchling looked to one another then nodded at Koru, one more time was okay- plus this was a little fun. Koru nodded with a giggle and raised her hands,"On you mark- get set- USE QUICK ATTACK!"
Both pokemon sprinted forward in a flash of quick light. Fletchling and Cyndaquil kept even pace upon the first obstacle. Fletchling easily avoided it simply by flying upwards. Cyndaquil almost fell into panic before dodging it and taking a turn on the side to catch up to the bird. Koru watched with anticipation who would reach her first. Things were really mixed up lately. On the brighter side of things she and Ray had made up during the spirit festival, and now hopefully they could consider each other real friends again. However on the downside one of her favorite teachers was taken in by police. She had no idea when it really happened but it was hard seeing the news. As a kid adults try to keep unsettling news away from them, protect them, but it was hard not to hear about it even as a kid. The TV in the common area at the dorm had the news going this morning and Koru almost spit out her cereal hearing about Miss Floros’s release from police custody. To get her mind off it she ran out to do some training. Koru thought it would be good but she couldn’t stop thinking about everything…BAM! Fletchling believed she would have gotten out of the way, but he didn’t know she wasn’t paying attention.
"Oomph!" Koru spurted then fell to the ground, gripping her stomach after Fletchling flew right into it. Cyndaquil skidded moments later and tripped overself. Koru groaned and rolled around. Fletchling backed away and stood behind Cyndaquil, who knew the bird was using him as a shield. Waiting for anger instead Koru rose herself up and still holding onto her tummy smiled at them,"Well THAT definitely makes Fletch here the winner!" Fletchling flapped his wings and chirped victorious, but Cyndaquil was still looking at him shocked for that move. Koru went over and reached her bag and pulled out some of the rare candies she had been stashing away. She unwrapped two of them and handed them to Fletchling, "First place goes to Fletchling! Graet job your quick attack is really strong!" he cooed eating the tasty treat, feeling surprisingly stronger in the process. Cyndaquil his head down, he still wasn't very good at that attack yet it made so fast he didn't know what to do. Koru sympathized and smiled at him, laying a sole candy before him. He looked up at her surprised and she smiled at him, "You're working so hard I'm really impressed. Your really strong Cyndaquil don't worry, not everyone is a master after one try." Cyndaquil felt like jumping in her arms, but also really wanted to eat the treat. While they ate Koru sat down and fiddled with her pokegear. She found pictures she had taken from the festival. Scrolling through them she found she had snapped pics of practically all of her friends, even a sneak pic of her and Ray passing each other after escaping that horrible manor made her giggle a little. Though it did get her thinking about History class later.
The day after the festival was over and classes were starting again Koru immediately leapt at the chance to take back her seat next to Ray. She felt so strange changing seats in the first place it was better to be where she knew she wanted to sit. Miss Floros would've probably been confused by it, but she wasn't there. Instead that old guy that subbed gym was teaching the class and has been. It really wasn't the same it was like her science teacher back home. Koru typed up a text to send thinking of an idea, after hearing about her release from the coppers:
To Ray Myers: Hey Ray did you hear about Ms Floros she got released! I was thinking about writing her a card or something what do you think?

After being sick or sad a card or a little handmade thing always made her feel better, especially if it was her moms macaroons. They were so amazing, and as food was on the mind it binged with a message from Makoto wanting to grab breakfast. She quickly replied, and at the same time sent an invite to Kirsi:

She stood up and grabbed her bag and pokemon, "Come guys enough snacking time to go and grab some actual food-food!"She left the track to head to the cafeteria. Exit

It looked like Koru was really focused on the battle and maybe didn't notice Kirsi's lack of enthusiasm. She wished she could have had her first battle with Koru when she was feeling herself. part of her still felt like it didn't really matter anymore, nothing did. But she had haltingly admitted it to her parents and they said it was because she was "grieving" and to think of them and Chance when she got upset. They seemed glad that Kirsi and Ray could be there for each other. Kirsi lied and said they were, even though she was mad at him.
Chance was a little disappointed he wouldn't battle Cyndaquil, because he thought it would be really fun and he'd like to see what his friend could do! But he only wanted to battle if Cyndaquil was ready and Kirsi was into it, and he sensed that now wouldn't be the bestest best time like he wanted. Chance craned his neck to look at Cyndaquil on Koru's shoulder and smiled. At his side Kirsi spoke up. I guess it would be nice to try battling with aka I" They could both use their second Pokémon. Chance turned to Kai. "Growl growlithe," [I think you're gonna have to battle.] Kai said nothing. It would be his first time listening to a human's commands to battle- he was used to making his own choices.
Kirsi led the way out of the gym and saw the nearby track. The grass near the edge seemed like a good place for a battle. "Let's try over there," she suggested." Kirsi set her bag down and motioned Kai forward. "Okay Kai, time to battle. I'll try my best," she said. Kai stared at her incredulously. Did she know about his illusion ability and what a great edge it gave them in battle? Rolling his eyes, Kai stepped forward and disguised himself as Chance. Koru wouldn't be tricked at all. Off to a great start, he thought to himself. He had a feeling he was going to have to act on his own with Kirsi like...this.

Koru felt too excited for words! Getting the chance to finally battle one of the best friends was what she's been hoping for ever since the Lamia tournament- but had to remember she was doing this for another reason. The lack of enthusiasm from Kirsi was becoming more and more obvious but Koru hid the fact she knew and continued to be her cheery self. Again she was doing this for a reason, she just hoped it would work...
Kirsi led them to the track and field, a usual place where Koru would train in the morning, though she wouldn't consider this an advantage. Koru sat her bag down by Kirsi's and they took their positions. She was a little surprised that she was sending Kai out for this one, but she probably had the same idea of getting experience for their newer pokemon. Fletchling was still perched on her head and she put Cyndaquil down by her feet,"Hey Cyndaquil how about ya go and sit by Chance and watch?"Cyndaquil was actually happy about this idea and scampered over to the dog, "Quil quil cyn da! (I'm okay with watching this time)", Koru stretched her arms up and Fletchling glided down to the ground. She smiled and pointed at Kirsi,"Alright Kirsi time to see what these little dudes can do!" Fletchling shared in her vigor and spread his wings chirping, "FLETCH LIIIIIING!"
