The in between for classes, dorms, on campus locations and off campus locations. a place to rest in take in the views and native pokemon. Ready to listen for bell to get to class and remember the pokemon on campus lives here and are not to be engaged in battle for the purpose of battling or capture.
The travel to the Ordell's campus had been just the way Takahiro had liked it to be; simple, quick and no problems to speak of. It seemed that he had arrived a little earlier than expected as the inside of the school was still closed to the public. "Well... Better make the best of this..." Searching through his belt, he released his three travel companions before lying with his hands behind his head on a bench conveniently placed where he could take in the view. The scenery was quite beautiful; the flora, especially the flowers, the wild Pokemon playing about in the field would have made for an interesting painting and it was fairly quiet to say the least which made it relaxing for the tired man. "Help yourselves to some grub and wake me up before the entrance ceremony starts." He said with a yawn as he passed Kong the Slaking a bag full of fruits before dozing off in the soothing sunlight. With a nod and his trainer now soundly asleep, Kong tossed the fruits to the rest the group.
X⇒ LOCATION : Courtyard XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX⇒ WITH :Takahiro Impatiently, Hyun tapped his work shoe against the ground while waiting for his Growlithe, Hachiko, to finish with his... err business. The security guard felt weird about watching his Growlithe take a leak, so he had mostly kept his gaze on his soundings in the courtyard, while waiting for his pokemon to signal that he was finished. However, growing evermore impatient, Hyun would occasionally sneak peeks at Hachiko to gauge his progress. However, much to his detriment, every time he looked over at the puppy pokemon, he was still wandering with his head low to the grass, padding around in circles while sniffing every new smell he came across. It was like the Growlithe was trying to take in every last scent that had ever graced that particular patch of grass, ever, while indecisively working out which was best to pee on. Hyun felt himself let out a short groan before deciding to head over to the pup and encourage him to hurry up. They still had another lap around the building to complete before heading back to the gate entrance to watch for suspicious activity. It was his first day on the job and he didn't want to seem inept in the eyes of his employers. Hyun was sure that once Hachiko could get over all the new smells of the workplace, the pokemon would be far less distracted in general.
Getting down on his knee beside Hachiko, Hyun swept his hand down the bright orange fur of the Pokemon's back. His touch made the Growlithe whip his head around and look up expectantly at his partner. The way Hachiko's tongue was poking out of his muzzle, gave him a somewhat dopy look, one that made it hard for Hyun to remain too irritated with the pup. "You plan on finishing anytime soon, Hachi?" He asked the pokemon calmly, while not expecting any reply in return. Truthfully, he had only meant to get Hachiko to lose interest in the smells. Fortunately, petting the Growlithe was enough to do just that, which was good enough for him.
Hachiko let out a low "woof" before sitting his back end down, thinking that Hyun was about to reward him with something for his hard work. Sadly, that wasn't the case. "Don't look at me like that. We need to get back to the main gate. Your job's not over yet, bud." Hyun soon reminded the pup. Though, Hachiko only tilted his head slightly and stared back at Hyun with even more anticipation in his eyes. Standing back up, Hyun let out a hushed sigh. He was thankful that Hachiko was at least done with sniffing around, or so he hoped. Hachiko soon got back on all hours before padding around again. Fortunately, it seemed like the Growlithe had more of a purpose this time. Momentarily casting his steely gaze out in front of him, Hyun's attention soon shifted from his Pokemon to an occupied park bench up ahead. It was one of the ones that decorated the outside of one of the many islands that were made up of grass and trees, strewn around the courtyard. Hyun hadn't caught it minutes before, but there was apparently an adult snoozing on one of the benches. 'Strange...' Hyun thought. Normally that sort of thing didn't happen during the day. 'Better check on the guy to make sure he's okay.' The man also appeared to have three pokemon nearby (obviously not indigenous to the island the school was on), all happily sharing some kind of food. Maybe this guy was a teacher, waiting for the main building to open up? That was likely the case. However, it was in Hyun job description to go bug the guy, just to be absolutely sure.
Before Hyun was about to make his way off the grassy patch he was standing on and over to the sleeping man, he suddenly felt his left foot becoming... wet? Glancing down, he noticed his Growlithe had finally began to get finished with his business... right on Hyun's left shoe. "＠!＃?＠‼ Thanks a lot, Hachiko!" He cursed at the pokemon, quickly removing a handkerchief from his pocket before bending down to take care of the mess. So much for his new 4,000 work shoes. Hachiko had decided to help break them in, albeit not on purpose. Before Hyun could further scold the pokemon, Hachiko bolted off, heading straight for a gathering of Pidove that were fighting over some stray french fries at the other end of the courtyard. In the back of his mind, Hyun knew it was hopeless to follow after the pup. Hachiko would continue to chase after the poor bird pokemon till his legs gave out -- much like he use to do in Castelia City, were Pidove were abundant and far less skittish. Watching the bird pokemon scatter and frantically take flight as his Growlithe dove at them, Hyun let out another heavy sigh before standing up. Shoving the soiling handkerchief back into his pants pocket, he decided to take the opportunity to check up on the sleeping offender.
Carefully sneaking past the Slacking, Hawlucha and Slowbro -- okay maybe not so much the Slowbro -- Hyun neared the bench that the passes out man was on. He lifted his right foot to rest on the edge of the bench before leaning forward to rest his right elbow on his knee, to peer over the man. Pushing up on the brim of his officer's cap and scratching lightly at his forehead, it seemed to Hyun that the man appeared okay. There wasn't any blood or signs of immediate trauma, so it was safe to assume the guy wasn't beaten unconscious at least. He was probably just exhausted from some all-nighter or something and had collapsed on the bench. Whatever the case was, Hyun decided to try and wake the guy up. Removing his police baton from his belt, Hyun used the flat end of it to lightly poke at the man's left shoulder. "Pst... Hey, buddy. You can't sleep here." He began in an authoritative tone to the man. “Surreptitiously remaining on private property before and after operating hours is a ticketable offense. Soo... what's your mailing address and how will we be paying for it? Cash or credit?" Hyun's stern tone hadn't changed, but he was inwardly trying his best not to smirk. The latter half of his words was completely made up, as he was just messing with the guy at this point. It was just part of Hyun's jovial nature.

The day was going swimmingly; no problems in sight, a somewhat easy travel to his new workplace and home, his companions were happily snacking on some well deserved grub and he had a calming area to rest in. So of course something troublesome was bound to manifest itself sooner or later since that's what usually happened on days such as these. Then again, he was and probably always will be the glass half empty type of guy. Takahiro's team gleefully continued to munch on the fruits in the bag, unaware of the disturbance they'd be giving him in the very near future.
His eyes still shut and his mind well on its way drifting to dreamland, Takahiro had felt movement at the edge of the bench, like something or rather someone had placed himself there. Well whatever it was, a peculiar scent wafted off from it. He couldn't quite put his finger on the unattractive smell, but he had a saddening feeling that he had smelled it once before. Regardless, it didn't bother him much. Perhaps a curious Pokemon had perched itself there? No matter; he could just ignore something like this and casually continue his nap.
He soon realized that it wasn't a Pokemon as an object poked his shoulder and a commanding manly voice was telling him that he could not sleep in this area. Not wanting to deal with this, he foolishly thought that if we were to continue faking to sleep the man, whoever he was, would leave him alone. That idea never even had a chance to take shape as Lucha and K.Y. shook their trainer until he opened his eyes, thinking that they were being helpful to Takahiro's cause. They didn't want him to be in trouble after all. Ugh... So much for plan A... Half-open annoyed eyes glared at his confused Pokemon before he slowly rose up for a well needed stretch. Needless to say he wasn't pleased to be woken up. The voice he heard probably belonged to the man before him as he was adorned in a police looking uniform with baton in hand and was directing his attention to him. Just greaaat... At a glance Mister man in uniform seemed to be the hard to deal with type. "Shouldn't you ask for a name and ID first, Mister officer?" He managed to grumpily slur out, still somewhat half-asleep, while letting out an exaggerated audible yawn. The spectacled male's body language obviously showed his skepticism towards the stranger.

Lillith looked at the courtyard. "It seems that they added more flora stuff and finished the garden." She allowed a rare smile. "Pokemon will definitely have some places to rest at and just scurry along. It will be fun to see around campus." Lillith fixed her hair as she pulled out a piece of paper. On it was the directions to get her dorm house and room. Apparently the teachers would leave in the same houses as students.One could assume it was to keep them out of trouble and safe. That was understandable.
It was also understandable that considering how large the school was that a damn map was needed. Nonetheless, the thought of a room to herself was nice. She could take a bath... watch tv...groom her pokemon. play her cello. Do nothing else that didn't involve eating or relaxing. That sounded like fun right.
With a smirk, Lillith took her in the direct of the dorm according to the map.
X⇒ LOCATION : Courtyard XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX⇒ WITH :Takahiro Despite being prodded at and spoken to, the man seemed to remain asleep, that is until his nearby pokemon had decided to quickly intervene. Dalton silently watched as the Slowbro and Luchadoris began to gently shake their trainer awake. They must of been aware that the man was in some kind of trouble and didn't want the offender to further exacerbate things, not that he had in the first place -- unless he happened to be a drunken stupor and was pretending to be asleep, then that'd be another story.
The look the man had given his two pokemon seemed to suggest he wasn't a fan of spontaneously being woken up. Hyun almost felt sorry for the two pokemon, but had pushed the thought aside as he began to assess the man's character. Judging by the way he carried himself -- prioritizing a slow unhurried stretch before any exchange of words -- Dalton began to sense that the guy was more of a lethargic type that probably didn't take too many things too seriously, including the presence of a former officer. Given the frank comment he did give, it soon also became apparent that he must have also been fond of candid remarks, too. Despite Dalton's initial surprise by the man's comment, he didn't let it break his act, at least, not immediately. "A bit of a wise-guy, aren't you?" Dalton soon replied, hooking his baton back onto his belt. If the man was capable of giving him a snide and yet condescending remark, then it also meant he was coherent enough to form quick-witted words and was thus probably not a huge concern to the guard. However, it was still in Dalton's job description to make sure the guy wasn't just some bum who randomly found a place to sleep, even though he certain didn't look like one -- far too sophisticated looking. Dalton wasn't entirely sure on all the names and faces of the Ordell staff members. It was almost like a game, really, trying to match staff members to their job titles without outright asking.
Suddenly, Dalton's hard-nosed exterior began to fall away, his stern look beginning to shift to that of a more ambivalent one. "But you're right. it looks like you got me there." The man in uniform admitted somewhat sheepishly, raising a hand to the back of his head before taking his foot off the bench."As an officer, I'd normally ask for all information -- fortunately for you, I'm just campus security." Hyun explained. "However, I am kind of obligated to ask what you're doing out here, sleeping on this particular bench -- not that I enjoy giving you a hard time." Falling silent a moment, Hyun half expected the man to tell him that he was just hanging around the courtyard enjoying a short nap while his pokemon enjoyed the fresh air and some treats. That was probably more likely than anything else. Even if that were the case, Dalton still had to ascertain whether or not he guy was an Academy employee.Can you also tell me what it is you do for living, aside from napping?"
Meanwhile, Hachiko was laying down on his stomach with his hind legs outstretched behind him in the tall grass. He had given up chase on the Pidgeon pokemon he was after and was now enjoying a patch of sunlight that was beaming down through the leaves of a tree he was resting under. The puppy pokemon knew he had to stay within sight of his owner, so he didn't dare go very far from the courtyard, even when the Pidoves did. For now, he was just enjoying the short break he got while keeping vigilant of any instructions Dalton could give. Though, he was also equally vigilant for if and when the Pidoves decided to come back.

Takahiro narrowed his eyes at the uniform wearing man at his initial comment, but not because he was unhappy in any way; he was still trying to grasp the situation as he was still groggy from being abruptly woken up. Even the words that first escaped his mouth weren't properly thought through. As the man continued to speak, his eyes slowly but surely lightened up as he gradually got used to the light and started waking up. Rather than taking Takahiro's attitude negatively like he thought the officer would, he instead took it kindly and constructively much to the spectacled wearing man's surprise. Then again, he never was the best judge of character. He personally wouldn't have been so kind, at least that's what he thought at that very moment with him still feeling a little grumpy. How he wished he was capable of being a functionable adult as soon as he woke.
'Crap... I might have been a little much...' He thought to himself, now fully awake than ever, almost immediately regretting his way of speaking. Lucky for Takahiro that the security guard was nicer than he expected him to be and didn't chew him out like he easily could have. The man was just doing his job after all. Feeling compliant to the man's attitude, he chose to answer the questions he previously asked. "Name's Takahiro Lachance. I'm one of the new technology and science teachers at this academy. I'll be living in the Charizard dorms. And about that ticket..." He pause for a few moments. "Look... I'm sorry about earlier... I just got here and I'm still getting used to this place so... Mind letting me off this one time?" It sounded like he was spitting out excuses, but his apology was sincere. He was short on cash let alone money in general and didn't want to be set back anymore than he already was. "I assure you that this will not happen again." Now whether he would be able to fulfill the promise of not sleeping in this temptingly calm place once again, only time would tell.

X⇒ LOCATION : Courtyard XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX⇒ WITH :Takahiro For a second there, when the light haired male had narrowed his eyes at him behind his dark rectangular frames, Dalton thought things were about to turn into a heated exchange. However, not one to lose his composure, Dalton decided to give up his tough-guy ruse and proceed to level-headedly ask the man a few questions he’d normally ask any suspicious individual loitering around some property. By some ingenious stroke of luck, the male’s somewhat confrontational demeanour began to ease as he appeared to look more awake – heck he seemed more amenable now that he was fully conscious of what was going on. Much to Dalton’s surprise, the guy was now remorseful and understanding. Maybe today wasn’t going to suck? Thank god he wasn’t the type that liked to despise and deride figures of some semblance of authority.
As soon as the man gave his name, Dalton immediately recalled the clipboard he had glanced over earlier on the wall of his office that contained a list of all the key individuals that were working at the campus. From what he could recall, Takahiro Lachance was definitely one of the names he had seen scribbled down in messy blue ink. Beside the name was also some short hand title for tech and science, which at the time, Dalton couldn’t decipher due to its profound illegibility.“Takahiro Lachance…” The officer sounded out the name slowly, giving it a try just to make sure he got it right the first time. “Yeah, I remember your name being on the list. So I guess I should welcome you to the Ordell Academy.” Since this was technically the first day for many of the employees, Dalton supposed the man had probably only just arrived at the campus. Maybe he was even still jet-lagged from his trip. “I actually kind of wondered what it was you were teaching – kinda sounds interesting.” He then added, sounding legitimately intrigued. Dalton understood that the academy’s purpose was to prepare young aspiring trainers for their future pokemon journeys, but he wasn’t too sure how science and technologies played into the mix. Maybe it was purposed to teach kids about the equipment and technology they’d encounter along their way? Either way, Dalton was sure the class must be interesting and admittedly if he were a student that’d be a class he’d look forward to since he knew next to nothing about computers and whatnot.
Shortly after Takahiro had mentioned which of the dorms he was staying at, it soon dawned on the guard that they were assigned at the same one. What were the chances of that?“You’re staying at the Charizard dorms? Strange, that happens to be the same one I’m at.” He couldn’t help but chuckle softly at the coincidence. Though, his mild amusement at the thought was short lived when he was reminded of the fictitious ticket he in the middle of giving. “Yes… that’s right. The fine…” Dalton trailed off as listened to the man’s full apology. “Although you might have hurt my feelings a smidgeon, I’ll let you go this time. Just remember to return to your dorm when you feel like a quick nap, otherwise you risk me or my partner heckling you again.” He explained in a mock authoritative tone, in an attempt to make the message stick, despite not really wanting to seem too serious about it. He wasn’t the type that enjoyed giving others a hard time. “I believe you when you say you’re truly sorry and that you won’t let happen again, Mr. Lachance.” Inwardly, Dalton wondered if Takahiro would stay true to his word, especially knowing that there was a fine on the line. Though in all candor, he wasn’t permitted to give out tickets -- despite being a former officer -- as it wasn’t in his jurisdiction as a security guard. But if others believed that were so, then it certainly made things easier when it came to watching over the campus. Then again, if current policies changed… he could see himself handing out tickets to repeat offenders to his heart’s content.
“By the way, Mr. Lachance, is it alright if I call you by your first name?”Dalton decided to ask. He knew there was a chance he’d see the man around his dorm or cross paths with him in the hall, and Hyun sort wanted to think of him as not only a fellow employee, but maybe a work related friend as well. “By the way, I’m Sr. Officer Hyun Dalton. But you can call me “Erik” or just “Dalton” if you like.”

Takahiro raised a brow when the man said that his name was on the list. There was a list? Then again, he figured that it would be necessary since his job was to protect the students and the teachers of the academy and thought nothing more of the subject. There was a glimmer of child-like wonderment in Taka's hopeful eyes at the mention that his class subject sounded interesting. Learning the ins and outs of how things functioned, especially technology wise, fascinated him to no end. "Right! I have some ideas planned involving-" Taka said gleefully with the happiest of faces, his french accent slightly seeping through. Realizing the highness of the pitch of his voice, he stopped himself from saying anymore, as he found it unbecoming of himself. Although he caught himself, he did so too late as the damage to his image was already done. "I mean... Ahem... Yes, I hope the students will feel the same." He quickly coughed out, composing himself once again.
So this man was going to be in the same dorms? With the officer being as kind and understanding as he was to let him off the ticket, as fictional as it was, the green-haired man had no complaints. In fact it kind of peak his interest. "Sorry... Not really a wake up and go type of person... Thank you for your understanding. And don't worry, you have my word." Takahiro let out an unintentional chuckle when Erik addressed him as Mr. Lachance. It had been a while since someone had been so formal with him, save for the people who were being polite due to their jobs, so it caught him off guard. Never being one for formalities as he thought it to be strange, especially when used amongst his friends, he wanted to call this man by his first name as well. "Please do. Though our circumstances could have been better, it's nice to meet you Erik." He put out his hand for a handshake.

INDENT遠海 Izumi walked briskly through the area, noting that this was going to be a great place to study in. Sure, not battling, but his history class would have a fair amount of homework to it, so here was likely going to be a great place to meet up with classmates and study. Quickly reviewing the map he recalled reading, he wound his way towards the auditorium, ready for his academy days to begin.
X⇒ LOCATION : Courtyard -> Caffiteria -> Dorm room XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX⇒ WITH :Hachiko and random students For the most part, his shift had run smoothly and was overall pretty uneventful during his patrol. He had finished a couple laps around the premise; going down the pathways that weaved through the campus before heading on over to the main entrance where no action seemed to be taking place, other than the droves of Pidove his Growlithe had scared off. He still couldn't seem to break the pup from his love of diving at the bird Pokemon who were innocently feasting on whatever new foods happened to be left behind by the students coming from the cafeteria. Poor things fled for their lives, while Hachi would continue to bark at them, relentlessly.
The students that passed through the compass grounds all looked like a good kids, none of which stood out to Hyun as troublemakers, and all seemed genuinely excited to be heading off to their first day of classes. He felt content for them and silently wished each and every kids that headed on past him, oblivious of his watchful eye, a good first day of classes. If he had been their age, he knew he would of been thrilled to attend such a worthwhile academy.
Regardless, nothing really noteworthy happened at the front gate. So after a little over an hour of standing at the front of the school entrance, ever vigilant of suspicious activity, Dalton had next headed over to the garden, doing a quick wrap around there before heading to the courtyard, were he now proceeded to circle around his planned route again. Once more, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but perhaps it was because his presence deterred it.
Stopping a moment, Hyun looked down to check his watch, which told him his shift had ended. That was a good thing. It meant he could grab something eat before heading back to his dorm room to jot down today's uneventful logs in his log book. Perhaps he'd also pick up something extra from the cafeteria for Hachi and his other two companions to enjoy. Seemed like a good plan to him.
Hopefully Ms. Heart's shift would be a good one since he knew she'd be taking over the patrol routes shortly. He hadn't had the time to personally get a chance to get to know her, but felt she was a good person despite seeming kind of distant. Regardless, he inwardly hoped she'd be okay running the night shifts, though he knew her Pokemon would undoubtably keep her safe.

Skylar yawned softly, she was actually rather tired. She had to limp pretty much everywhere, and it wasn't really the easiest way to talk. She really just wanted to toss that crutches to the side and just walk off. However, she knew better than to do that. She'd probably just injure herself even more if she did that. A sigh escaped her lips, and she trudged to the courtyard. She didn't particularly have anything she had to do, so she decided to just relax. Besides, knowing the other students they'd probably want to leave school and go to the different districts and hang out. If not, well worst case scenario she could go to the library to hide away from all the people. Yeah that was a good fall back plan in her opinion. She eventually made it to the courtyard finally, and tired to find a spot farther away from the rest of the area. A secret spot of sorts she could go without being disturbed by other people, had they decided to come here. Ace had finally woken up finally, her neck was starting to hurt from the extra weight on her head. Ace stretched and flew along side her, chirping every so often to get Skylar's attention.
She would just look at him, eyebrow raised as he did loops and avoided obstacles he some how managed to almost run into. Sometimes this made Skylar crack a smile, considering he missed and would ram into a tree. Ace knew it was more of a playful smile, if Ace had truly been injured Skylar would be over in a heartbeat fawning over him. That was the thing Ace loved about his trainer, she was warn and kind. Even though she was so cold to outsiders, she was actually the opposite of what people thought she was. If only Skylar could open up to someone, then others would see just how warm she really was. However, the chances of that happening where rather low. Still Ace hoped someday her heart would thaw out of the ice she had locked it away in. Ace flew deeper through the courtyard, and once they were in a well hidden area Ace perched himself on a branch above. Skylar was wobbling along, cursing under her breath as she did. Once she managed to reach the spot, she sat down and placed the crutch to the side of her. She was rather content with this spot, it wasn't in the sun, but it wasn't completely shady.
Ray's of light flowed down through the small opening of the leaves above, and Skylar laid down on her back and gazed upwards. It was a beautiful sight to see, and she loved it. She reached her hand up softly and grabbed towards the sky. Someday she'd find it, that freedom she was always searching for. She was determined, and once she learned enough from the academy she'd go out and search the world until she found her answer. A sigh escaped her lips, and she closed her eyes softly. The wind caressed her cheek softly, and she blushed softly. It was really nice out, and she planned to enjoy the weather to the fullest. Ace looked at her, watching out in case anyone may walk in on her partner resting.

4,000 work shoes. Hachiko had decided to help break them in, albeit not on purpose. Before Hyun could further scold the pokemon, Hachiko bolted off, heading straight for a gathering of Pidove that were fighting over some stray french fries at the other end of the courtyard. In the back of his mind, Hyun knew it was hopeless to follow after the pup. Hachiko would continue to chase after the poor bird pokemon till his legs gave out -- much like he use to do in Castelia City, were Pidove were abundant and far less skittish. Watching the bird pokemon scatter and frantically take flight as his Growlithe dove at them, Hyun let out another heavy sigh before standing up. Shoving the soiling handkerchief back into his pants pocket, he decided to take the opportunity to check up on the sleeping offender.
