The Shard Bank!
This is the shard bank, where people can make a post to keep track of their shard count. In order to use shards, you must have a shard bank post here. You only need one post, and in it you must quote a mod. Simply edit it each time you earn shards, or make a purchase, and be sure to note and link to the post where the transaction, or earning, occurred. If you posted for a Shard, be sure to link to the first and last post! And don't forget to note where your character is going and came from, so that tracking the post of the shard, and validating it, is easier for everyone!
The Shard Shop is an alternative way to obtain items and other rare objects, even legendaries. During some events, such as the now-closed meteor event, shards can be 'found' by any of your characters (but you can only find a set number of shards, regardless of how many characters you have), but they do not have to be bound to that character. Star Shards are particular to each rper, and while you're welcome to canonly give them to your character when they are found in events such as this, or obtained in other ways, and have them actually go to the shard shop and make a purchase, you may also keep them in 'limbo' and save up to buy whatever items you wish to give to whatever character you prefer.
But please, be sure you're not accidentally replicating shards when you move them.

Shards will be available during different events, varying in amounts given out. Please note, although legendaries will be available, they will never be on sale. They are at a set price, as an alternative method of getting them than the lottery and other occasional events. This is so that members who are too busy, or just not lucky enough to roll the right numbers, or have a specific legendary they want, can still have a good chance of getting a legendary by saving up their shards. However, legendaries are rare-- it will take a good amount of time and dedication to get one, so don't expect to do a few events and claim a legendary during the next sale.
Other items for purchase will be event items, special items [ie items specific to certain events], and other high-post items, including TMs.
