Quick Start Guide

Hello and welcome to Pokemon Eternal Revolution! Whether you were invited, found this guild on your own, post every day, every week, or just love pokemon, you are welcome to RP here.

To help you navigate through everything the guild has to offer, we've compiled a quick start guide to help you take the first few steps into getting involved! If at any point in this process, you feel lost or confused, or just have some quick questions, feel free to contact a mod.

Step 1: Read the Rules

As with anything, you need to know the rules before you get started, so before you dive into RPing and character creation, please look over our Rules and Guidelines so that you have a better idea of how things work here in Revo.

Step 2: Create Your Character

Once you have a better understanding of the guild rules, it's time to get started on your character!

To make a character, simply fill out a Trainers License and Pokedex for them, as well as an Acheivements Page for yourself and your characters. Now you're ready to get your character approved! Each subforum has instructions for how to go about making these threads to track your character information. You'll find these instructions as an announcement posted at the top of each subforum thread listings.

Step 3: Post in a Lab

Once you've finished your character profile, make a starting post in the Pokemon Professor's lab that you want to get your starter pokemon from, and be sure to quote at least one Moderator to get a faster reply! After that we will look over your profile and, if everything checks out, we will NPC the professor giving you your starter.

Step 4: Organize Your Information

You must keep all your active party pokemon's information in your posts, such as their current EXP, HP, Attacks, Ability, and Held item if any.

Keep in mind that the guild does have a different system for HP and EXP than the games, and some slight variations on how moves or items work in the guild. We even have some unique items that the guild has created for P:ER! We keep all of that information here in the guild for your reference. You can find information on attacks and abilities Here, HP and EXP information Here, and you can find item information Here.

You should also keep track of all post counters, such as travel, item counters, and wild pokemon/NPC trainer encounters.

When you battle Wild Pokemon or NPC Trainers, all the information about the guild's Battle Mechanics is located in this Battle Information Thread. Keep in mind that any and all non event Number Generation and Dice Rolling must be done in the RNG Thread.

Step 5: Make Character Milestones

There are many ways to advance your character and their skills, such as battling gyms, participating in contests, or completing ranger missions.

If you wish to challenge a Gym Leader for the first time, please let the Mods know by posting in the Gym Battle Requests Thread and telling us which Gym you plan on taking on, then you may post in the gym challenging the gym leader, but don't start the battle yet, a mod will accept your challenge and NPC the Gym Leader for your first few battles. Then, once you feel that you've gotten the hang of the battle system, you may request to write out gym battles on your own, and we will determine if you are ready or not yet based on your past few battles. Of course, even if you have the ability to post battles on your own, you can always ask a mod to RP out a battle with you for the fun of it. c:

Battling not your trainer's forte? That's fine, Revo has a few other ways of getting around with your pokemon with a Ranger System and a Contest System that still allows for a normal adventure based on a different career path for your trainer!

Step 6: Explore the Guild Facilities

The guild has a lot to offer to help enhance your experience:

Pokemon Daycare and Breeding Center
Monthy Horoscope Giveaway
Tri-monthly Legendary Lotto
RP Events and Holiday Giveaways
Fakemon
Plotting Thread
OOC Chat

If you're looking to beef up your event claimed pokemon before introducing them to your character, or looking to RP some of your team's pokemon and gain a few levels along the way, feel free to check out our handy little Daycare Center! There is also a Breeding Center if you would like to get together with another guild member or breed your own pokemon, where you have a chance to breed shiny pokemon!

Pokemon Eternal Revolution also has a Horoscope that updates at the beginning of every month, giving out free items and pokemon to claim depending on the theme of that month on the Celtic Calendar, so be sure to check it out!

Revo also holds a Legendary Lotto every few months. Don't miss out on a chance to win a legendary!

There are also lots of events and giveaways that Revo holds throughout the year for holidays or just for fun, so be sure to check out the Newsflash page to keep up to date with the latest goings on of the guild!

Do you have an idea for your own original pokemon? You can make that pokemon come to life by submitting your idea to our Fakemon subforum.

Want someone to plot with or need some ideas for your character? We have a thread for that too right Here!

If you just want to introduce yourself, or chat about something random and non guild related, there's also always the Revo OOC Thread.

Step 7: Ask Questions!

Don't be afraid to ask questions. We love questions! It shows you have an interest in making sure you're doing things right and we want to support that. Besides, it's a lot. We know. If you have any questions about anythin, check out our FAQ page to see if it's already been answered, and if not, feel free to PM a mod or post your question in the Questions Comments and Concerns Thread .

I hope you've found everything you need, and we look forward to seeing you around the guild!
