Darkness.... All around her she could feel only darkness swirling around her. He voice couldn't be heard by any ears, even her own. She could feel herself calling for answers, but none came. Where was she? Who was she? These two questions stood prominent on her mind. She felt like crying, but no tears would come.. it, it didn't feel like she should be crying, more like she should be angry. Angry at herself? The darkness? Shouting louder, her voice still couldn't be heard, but then... a response? The sound of... laughter, but not the kind of laughter that made her fell secure. The kind that made her worried. Turning around and around, the laughter grew louder and louder. Before long she was pressing the palms of her hands onto her ears, but the laughter didn't get any quieter! Was it in her head!? W-was she the one laughing!?
Avikna's eyes burst open, and a fit of coughs aloud her the strength to cough up the salty water she'd swallowed. Turning onto her side, she felt the large hands of a man, aged from working the garden's around Vaniville holding her up so she could cough up the water that had threatened to kill her. Wincing at the brightness of the mid-day sun, she managed to sit up thanks to the man. Her vision was blurry, but it wasn't long before she could make out the shape of a floating Pokemon. Narrowing her eyes she found the Pokemon appear sword-like as it floated in front of her. At her feet a Dratini watched curiously. "It's good to see you're not dead." The man finally spoke, drawing Avikna's attention to him."You were lucky I was passing by on my daily promenade" He smiled down to her. "Not every day we get woman washing up on our shores." He added chuckling light heartedly.
Gazing away from the man, Avikna attempted to stand up, only to find her balance lacking, her strength as well. She couldn't even manage to get half-way up before plopping back down on her butt. "Ah, s'il vous plaît, let me help you." He offered. Before she could refuse the old man wrapped an arm under Avikna's arms and pulled her up onto her feet, from there he motioned towards another floating Pokemon, this one mounting a flower as it trailed along. "You nearly drowned, so you need your rest. My wife will be rather surprised when I bring home a human rather then a sea shell." He chuckled. Avikna managed a smile, but her throat hurt to much to manage a laugh. Trailing behind was the sword and Dratini, who seemed oddly attached to Avikna at this point. Perhaps it was worried for the red-head?
Finding their way into the bulk of the town, the old man trailed her past a Pokemon center and into a Flower shop, leading her inside. A woman appeared rather quickly, expecting to see a customer and not her husband. "Mari? Who is this? She looks like a half-awake Skrelp." The woman stated, her hands folding onto her hips. "Come on dear, lead her to the back so she can sit down." Doing so, the old man trailed her behind the counter and into a back room where he helped her sit down. The woman had rushed off and returned shortly after with a towel. "Let me get some tea on the oven, alright?" She didn't even wait for an answer before rushing off deeper into the shop to no doubt get to work making the tea. The old man stayed behind, sitting down on a nearby stool. "So, demoiselle, Tell us... Do you... Recall, how you ended up like that?" The red-head's eyes narrowed, she'd hardly got a word in edgewise this entire time, and now that she was actually able to speak, she... didn't know how to answer. No, she didn't know how she ended up nearly drowning... she... She couldn't even recall who she was. All she could do was shake her head. "Hmm.... Do you know where you are?" Again, she couldn't answer... shaking her head once more the man rose a hand to stroke his beard. "Don't recall what you were doin', and now you don't know where you are... Tell me, demoiselle. Do you know who you are?" She had to give him points for being a sharp old man. Another shake her head confirmed his suspicions. "I could tell by the look on your face. You've got... what do they call it?" "Amnésie, dear." The woman had returned with three cups of steaming hot water with a tea packet in each of them. Dropping two sugars into one she offered it over to Avikna, who... really couldn't refuse. She couldn't even remember if she liked tea or not. "Ah, yes." Looking up from her cup of tea, Avikna's confused look was caught by the old woman. "Oh, désolé, You must not speak French?" Avikna shook her head. She didn't need memories to know that. "Well then, we mean to say you have Amnesia, dear. You've lost your memories. I'm sure you'll get them back soon." How soon was soon? Having no memories wasn't going to be easy... first things first she had to learn her name, or at least where she was.

Blowing on the tea a few times, the red-head took her time sipping at the warm liquid until she could finally manage to just drink it outright. It really did the body good to drink some tea, even if the taste wasn't her favorite... than again, what was her favorite? Setting down the cup on the table before her, the red-head pulled off the towel she'd draped over her shoulders and went to stand up, finding her legs were like gelatin. "Woah now, demoiselle. I don't think you should be over exerting yourself to much. Just sit back down and relax." The old man intercepted Avikna, finding the sword blocking his path. "Come on now, you already know I mean her no harm." The old man stated holding up his hands. Avikna reached forward, subconsciously and grabbed the sword's hilt, tugging him back, finding little resistance. The blade seemed to aid Avikna up to her feet, and even wrapped his cloth around her neck loosely. Both the old man and his wife appeared rather shocked. They knew more then Avikna, even before her memory loss, what a Honedge was, and what they normally did when someone grabbed their hilt. Shaking his head, the old man stood up himself and pushed the stool he was sitting in under the table. "Alright, alright. If you insist on moving about let me at least escort you to the Pokemon Center."
Shaking her head, Avikna turned to face the old man. "No thank you." She spoke, finding her throat still sore, but not as much as it had been the first time she'd tried to speak. "I'll manage.." She turned away and started to hobble towards the door she'd come from, only to stop when she noticed the Dratini from earlier. "Your Dratini likes me doesn't it?" The old man arched a brow when Avikna turned to look back at him. "She's not mine, demoiselle. I thought she was yours." Folding his arms he motioned towards the dratini as it coiled around Avikna's legs then quickly slithered onward. "She's the one who called my attention to you, I bet she's the one who saved you from drowning." The old man then noticed something, a look of an idea or the like dawning on his face. "Oh, forgive this old man's memory." Grabbing a large dark gray bag from the table he handed it over to Avikna. "This is yours." Celcius grabbed the bag, letting it drape across his hilt. "Thanks..." Avikna replied. With that she took her leave.
Outside in the large city, she noticed people walking in and out of the building next door. It didn't look like a traditional Pokemon center, but perhaps wherever she was this is the best they had. It looked like a pretty.... small town, like Pallet but more condensed. Making her way into the building, Avikna found a place to sit and gather her thoughts, which... there was many to gather. In her bag she found a Pokedex, well built to be water-proof, and a series of other items that just needed a bit of time to dry out, her bag however would need about ten washing to get the stink of ocean water out of it. Whatever the case she found a Porygon living in the Pokedex, the odd creature reminded her of someone, but the most she got was a dark silhouette. Amongst that she found a series of Pokeballs, all of which she couldn't remember who they belonged to. "They have to be mine right? Why else would I have them?" She muttered, but she found each ball empty regardless. " Well, there's no use having them on me, might as well send them to the Pc until I get my memory back." She muttered. Z3R0, as his name seemed to be, picked up on this as a request and quickly whisked away all but Celsius' ball. From there her attention was on the Dratini. "Thanks for saving me... but..." Well, what was the harm in letting the tiny dragon tag along? Atleast she knew what species of Pokemon it was, unlike the sword that was no doubt the cause of the stares coming her way, as he still had his cloth wrapped around her neck. "Do you want to come with me?" The Dratini cried out, it's voice beautiful and soothing. "Alright, I suppose I owe you for saving my life." Whatever life that was. Tapping a free ball on the Dratini's forehead, she watched as the tiny dragon was drawn inside followed by the ball quickly sealing.

After all her things had dried, Avikna had come to some understanding of her situation. Thanks to the helpful Nurse of the makeshift Pokemon Center. She was in the Kalos Region, and her name... Avikna Lupita, apparently, according to her records she stated in Unova, which was apparently pretty far away. How she ended up in Kalos' shores from all the way over in Unova was a really good question. What had she been doing that would have landed her here? The whole thing gave her a headache... rather an even worse headache than the one she already had.
She'd taken some medication the nurse had offered, but it didn't seem to be doing any good. Of course nearly drowning had to have something to do with that, but it was also due to a reason she didn't remember, nor would she understand under her current circumstances. Deciding sticking around Vaniville wasn't going to do her any good, she decided to take off and travel a bit... maybe something out there would jog her memory?
Her headache wasn't made any better as she exited the Pokemon Center to end up being pelted in the head by a quick-flying Skrelp. The dead kelp-looking Pokemon bounded across the air after hitting Avikna's head, and landed on a peddler's blanket of trinket and rare finds. One of which was a rainbow shard, that upon being landed on shattered and embedded itself into Zelda, who's colours turned from brown and purple to Black and Red. Rubbing the back of her head, she turned to find the Skrelp in just as much pain as she was going through. "Sheesh... I attract a lot of Black and red Pokemon." Somehow, she wasn't upset by this. "Maybe I'll catch you too." The red-head stated, turning to reach for a ball. Zelda floated up into the air, staring at Avikna.... confused. Celsius caught on to the dead seahorse's concern and quickly unraveled his cloth to reach down into Avikna's bag and pull out her Pokedex. "Hmm?" Grabbing it from Celsius she opened it up. "Your right, maybe I should see if it's even worth my time." Zelda's eyes narrowed at that remark. She'd just spent how much time in the past saving her butt from a future of death and destruction... heck, she actually saved Avikna's life as well, and this is the welcome she got? Was this some sort of joke? Or had this ungrateful human forgotten all about her? "Wait.. that Pokeball symbol... that means I've already caught a Skrelp." Zelda snapped to attention, floating forward, right into Avikna's face snarling at the red-head. "Whoa!" Holding up a hand, Avikna pushed the Skrelp away. "Calm down, alright... Are you the Skrelp I caught? I lost my memories alright, so sooory if I come off as insulting you."
Floating back, Zelda blinked her eyes. It was then Z3R0 broke the silence when it made a Pokeball appear, the one that belonged to Zelda. She'd returned it to the Pc having thought there was no use for it. Glancing back up at the Skrelp as she grabbed the ball, she adjusted herself before a basket then appeared over them. This time Celsius was there to catch the falling object before it struck Avikna. Taking the basket, she found it filled with various items. Most she knew what they did, others... not so much, even on general knowledge her mind was fuzzy...it had to be because of the headache... and because she was actually pretty tired.
Dumping all the items into her bag she offered the basket to the old man as compensation for Zelda having used his merchandise, he was understanding at least and took the basket, as it's style was pretty old and such an acient item was well revered within his collection. Avikna didn't care about such things... she just wanted to get moving.

Thinking over some things as they made their way towards Aquacorde Town, Avikna pondered upon her various items and he Poke balls she'd sent back to the PC. She'd really wanted to know why she had a near full team of empty poke balls, and only Celsius had managed to stick with her? It was... all to confusing and she was finding it all to hard to piece together. It was as though she had 3 puzzles each consisting of over 1ooo pieces, and there was no box top to cheat with. Holding a hand up to her forehead, he could feel a fever coming on, which wasn't good.
Stopping, her Astrid, as she'd come to name the Dratini and Zelda stopped as well, looking back at Avikna. Astrid appeared rather doe-eyed, curious as to Avikna's strained look. Zelda on the other hand appeared... disinterested. "Maybe I should go back to that couple?" She spoke. "I have a painful headache, and a fever is coming on... not to mention... I just, don't feel like myself." That was an understatement to end all understatements. But as she said this, she felt something click in the back of her head.... a cry for help. It wasn't a... baby or damsel in distress cry, but a 'back off or I'll hurt you' cry. Like someone was in trouble, and for whatever reason Avikna felt she had to help them. Biting her lower lips she shook her head. "No, we're moving on." She quickly stepped forward, leading her Pokemon with her. Astrid appeared concerned, half-way whining for Avikna to stop and turn back, but Zelda's disinterested gaze told her to just follow along. If Avikna wanted to pass out, let her.

The feeling that drove her forward soon faded as her headache grew worse and blurred her vision. Astrid was there to aid the red-head in staying up on her feet. "This isn't good...." Avikna waned, feeling her knee's growing weak. "We're almost there... Astrid... thanks." Halfway hugging the dragon, the serpent found it somewhat akward pulling Avikna along, but with Celsius' aid, they managed to make it in closer to Aquacord Town.
Zelda in the meantime lingered behind, rather... conflicted. It was obvious to her now that Avikna was not herself. The human she knew for one wasn't this nice. Not to mention she had to guess what happened during her absence. What felt like only a day or two to the Skrelp was like months in the present time. Where was that other human? The one that understood them? How about that red winged creature that always found enjoyment out of ruffling Avikna's feathers? And.. what of her other Pokemon? Finally, just who was that strange Pokemon on Avikna's back? She'd certainly not seen him before. Was her memory effected as well? As she could have sworn she'd seen someone else like the blade before... but where? Come to think of it, the Skrelp also noticed a bit of familiarity about the air around her... Like she'd been here before.

☆ ☆【Chrysanthemum chuckled softly as the green-haired stranger nearby struck a pose, flashing the Chespin that was left unchosen a thumbs up as he said that the little guy was still the coolest of the three to him. Of course, she figured that, he wouldn’t have gotten a Chespin of his own otherwise. Nonetheless, she was glad that the Chespin’s disappointment didn’t stay for long as Sycamore took care of him. After receiving her new Fennekin and Froakie, and bestowing their own names upon them to really welcome them to the team, she was loaded up with yet more stuff as the Professor gave her a stash of goodies. A Pokedex, along with a substantial cache of Potions and Pokeballs! Goodness, this must be a lifetime supply’s worth of these with how much he gave her! Nonetheless, Chrysanthemum was grateful to Sycamore as she thanked him for everything. Her gaze wandered back over towards the green-haired guy and/or girl nearby, and smirked when she saw what the guy’s Pokemon were doing while his back was turned to them. The Jigglypuff was gnawing at the shell of the Chespin while the Tyrogue seemed to be winding up a punch to attack. The other trainer finally took notice of what his Pokemon were doing, and quickly returned them to their Pokeballs before any more mayhem could ensue. Quite the rowdy bunch they were, seemed that it might take some time for them to be able to work together as a team. As much as Chrysanthemum would’ve liked to stay and talk with the Professor, Piper’s fur-plucking habit had started up again because of how crowded it was, and the red-head knew by then it was about time to take their leave. Waving farewell to the Professor, Chrysanthemum began to quickly make for the door, knowing that Piper would start to calm down more once they were outside. She called out to the other trainer to come along, unless he was intent on just standing around and staring all day. Just as she was opening the door and rolling herself out, the other trainer seemed to break from his trance as he said he forgot about the adventuring part and bid goodbye to the Professor before following along. Amaterasu blinked in curiosity as they entered out into the town, yipping excitedly and sniffing around eagerly at their surroundings. Ryouichi, on the other hand, was calmly laying against the comfortable cushion of Chrysa’s chair from his seat on the arm, opening one eye to observe their surroundings briefly before closing it. Once outside, Piper seemed to relax greatly as she stopped plucking out her own fur, shivering ever so slightly as she clung to the chair with a death grip. ” There ya go, much better~” Chrysanthemum said with a smile, feeling relieved that Piper was calming down as she glanced up to inspect the damage. Seems that the Noivern had done minimal damage from the looks of it, and she hadn’t agitated the small bald spot around her clavicle that was slowly recovering from several repeated instances in the past. With that taken care of, Chrysanthemum slowed down her chair a little so that the guy she had exited the lab with could catch up. Once she was rolling along next to him, she adjusted her chair’s speed so that they were moving at a fairly even pace. ” Sorry about all that back there,” she apologized with a small smile as she glanced towards the green-haired guy and/or girl, ” Piper has this nasty habit of pulling out her own fur when her nerves get the better of her… She doesn’t do very well with crowds or strangers.” The Noivern, after managing to calm down by a considerable margin, turned her yellow-eyed gaze towards the other trainer who was with them. She seemed to be sizing him up, and instinctively took a couple of steps back on the top of Chrysa’s chair to put some distance between them as she continued to eye the guy warily. A thought crossed the redhead’s mind, and her gaze went down towards the other trainer’s shoes. ” How’s your foot, by the by?” she asked, hoping that she hadn’t done any significant damage when she had unwittingly run over his and/or her foot, ” Sorry ‘bout running ya over and all, serves me right for not paying a lick of attention to where I was going. Too enraptured in those big beautiful machines, y’know?” She almost wished she hadn’t left behind those exquisite machines back in the lab, but if there was one thing she valued more over learning and mechanics, it was the health and well-being of her Pokemon. She hoped the guy and/or girl was alright, he/she had said it hadn’t been a problem when she had apologized for running him/her over the first time, but she could see the pain in his/her eyes even as he/she tried to brush it off. He/She may have said he/she was fine, but she wanted to make sure that he/she was indeed a hundred percent okay.】☆ ☆

As soon as they were out the door, Bastien's eyes wandered to the rest of Vaniville. "Man, what a small little town..." He rubbed his chin, wondering what it was like to live in a tiny place with no fear of crowded streets or dark alleys. "Hmmmmn... Oh." Having not been paying much attention, Bastien forgot about Chrysa for a moment. "Oh! Not at all, it's fine." Bowing as his father taught him, the young man politely smiled back. It seemed that her Noivern had a problem with strangers and crowds... "I'm the one that should be sorry! She's got such a nice coat, and I'm all up in her business like this." He clapped his hands together once before raising one of them up, lifting a finger very matter-of-factly. "N'yoho~, we can't have any pretty girls pulling all their hair out over me, now can we?" Joking in a semi-smug voice, Bastien took a few steps away to distance himself from Chrysa and her Pokemon. "Is this better?" He certainly hoped so. Any further away, and they would have been ridiculously shouting to each other across the cobblestone road. "But, wow... A Froakie and a Fennekin alongside your Noivern, huh? You guys are really gonna tear it up out there!" Just mentioning the possibility of battling got Bastien awfully excited. He brought his fists up, beaming a bright and hopeful smile. "Froakie grows into, like, this super fast speed demon. And Fennekin can shoot fire, and go all, 'bwraaaaaah!'" The 'bwraaaaah' was meant to symbolize a blast of fire, as indicated by Bastien's flashy hand movements. For someone who was just fooling around, he moved quite nimbly, imagining all of the techniques that he'd see Greninja and Delphox using.
At the mention of his foot, Bastien stopped and blinked at Chrysa. "Hm? Oh, It's--" A sudden pause. His face went pale for a moment, remembering that his necklace had completely broken... Split right down the middle into two pieces. It was a precious keepsake from his father, and he'd gone and broken it. Bastien, however, wasn't about to admit to the tinge of pain in his gut. "I-it's okay. I should have been paying more attention, myself." Scratching his head, the young man chuckled. His attention then went to something that had been tugging at him for a while... Chrysa was riding in a strange wheelchair, quite unlike any conventional ones he'd ever seen. "By the way... Chrysanthemum, was it? I really like your chair. Did you make it?" Sheesh, he hoped that wasn't an insensitive thing to say... He had no idea how she may have felt about having to use one. For that matter, Bastien also didn't know why she was using it in the first place. A disability? An injury? No, it didn't matter. Smiling politely again, Bastien gave her a thumbs up. "I can't say I know much about machinery, but you sure seem to. Remind me to call you next time my toaster's busted! Just kiddin'," he joked, nodding to Chrysa. "I'm Bastien, by the way. Nice to meetcha!"

☆ ☆【Chrysanthemum had to admit, now that she wasn’t in much of a real hurry to get anywhere, she was quite blown away by the absolute beauty of Vaniville Town. It was certainly much different from Mossdeep, certainly much smaller like Littleroot, but Arceus it was just gorgeous around here! From the cobblestone walkways to the wrought iron street lamps lining the roads, to the flower beds and well trimmed gardens that seemed to decorate the front of every house… She couldn’t wait to see how the rest of Kalos looked as a whole, because if such a small community looked as beautiful as Vaniville, she couldn’t even begin to imagine how some of the bigger cities might look. Lumiose City in particular was a prime tourist attraction from what she’d heard, and really it was no wonder. According to the map of Kalos she had been given, it was the largest of all the cities within the region, and was home to a number of cafes, boutiques, restaurants, and even the ever famous Hotel Richissime! She couldn’t even begin to wrap her head around all of it, and yet she found herself tingling with eagerness at what lay ahead for her on this path less traveled. Amaterasu yipped happily, the Fennekin jumping out from Chrysanthemum’s lap to walk alongside her, occasionally stopping to sniff curiously at a patch of flowers that was growing on someone’s lawn they passed by. The redhead chuckled softly as she watched the little fox, from what she could collect of her new Pokemon, Amaterasu seemed like the friendly neighborhood dog, always curious and wanting to check out anything and everything. Ryouichi, on the other hand, was cool as a cucumber and rather laid back, the Froakie seemed pretty content with chilling out in his apparently designated spot on the girl’s chair and watching the scenery go by. Chrysanthemum then remembered the guy who was walking along with them, and slowed her chair down a little so that he could catch up to them. The other trainer with them seemed to be off in Lala Happy Hippie Land as he was sight-seeing around Vaniville, before he/she realized that she was with him/her when she apologized for the drama in the lab due to Piper’s plucking habit. The guy and/or girl insisted that it was fine, giving a bow to her in greeting as he/she smiled in a polite manner. When Chrysanthemum explained Piper’s tendency to pluck out her fur when her nerves got to her, and how she didn’t deal well with crowds and strangers, the green-haired trainer insisted that they should be the one who was sorry. The trainer said that Piper had a nice coat, and he/she was all in the Noivern’s business as he/she clapped his/her hands together and raised a finger in a matter-of-fact manner. Chrysanthemum couldn’t help but grin as the green-haired person went on to say that they couldn’t have pretty girls pulling out their hair over him/her, and casually took a few steps away to distance themselves. She had to admit, she liked this particular individual’s sense of humor! If only she could figure out if this person was a guy or a girl… the long hair certainly gave the hint that they were feminine, but the overall physique suggested that they were more masculine. Maybe this trainer was just a very girly man, or a very manly girl… Chrysanthemum didn’t want to jump to conclusions just yet and end up offending aforementioned guy or girl, so she decided to just bide her time and try to analyze a little more before coming up with a solid answer. Instead, she smiled when he asked if the distance between them right now was any better. ” Yeah, that’s perfect~ But don’t worry about it too much, Pipes tends to generally be cool unless you’re really in her personal bubble,” she answered with a chuckle, ” She won’t bite, most of the time at least~” Piper seemed quite pleased with the conditions, and settled back into her original position on Chrysanthemum’s chair as she gazed towards the green-haired individual, her expression now more curious than wary. The other trainer then remarked about how she and her Pokemon were going to really kick a**, especially since she now had a Fennekin and a Froakie on her team. ” Ya really think so?” she asked with a light laugh, noticing how excited the green-haired trainer was getting at the mention of battling. They went on to explain how Froakie evolved into a ‘super fast speed demon’, and how Fennekin would be able to shoot fire as the guy started waving his/her hands around in a very animated fashion and making sound effects for the fire blasts. Chrysanthemum couldn’t help but giggle at the display, though she admired how graceful and poised his movements were, even if it was all for the sake of humor. ” Super fast speed demon, huh? Ya mean like a ninja or something?” she asked with a wide grin, glancing towards Ryouichi, who was curiously observing the other trainer’s antics with an amused look on his face, ” Ya seem to know quite a bit about how these guys evolve already, huh? What does your Chespin evolve into then?” She was actually quite curious to know about these new starter Pokemon that she was just now learning about. So if Froakie evolved into some kind of Speedy Gonzales type frog-thing that she guessed was like some sort of ninja, and Fennekin became some sort of badass fox-thing that could blast fire around like nobody’s business, then what did Chespin evolve into? Some sorta tank-like chipmunk-looking creature? As she watched the guy dance around and display his techniques, a thought crossed Chrysa’s mind as her eyes went down to his/her shoes. He/she stopped when she asked how his/her foot was doing, and blinked at her as the words registered in his/her mind. The green-haired trainer started to answer, but paused as she could’ve sworn that all of the color practically drained from his face for a moment or two. A look of concern crossed the redhead’s face as she opened her mouth to ask if something was wrong, but stopped herself as the guy spoke up again. He/She said that it was alright when Chrysa apologized again for running over his/her foot back in the lab, and that he/she should’ve been paying more attention as well. The girl smiled brightly at that, feeling much more relieved. ” Oh good, and it doesn’t look like anything’s broken, even better~” she chimed happily with a nod, ” But just in case, I’ll go ahead and apologize several times in advance if I end up running over ya again in the near future. This kinda thing tends to happen more often than ya think, y’know?” She chuckled to herself as they moved along the cobblestone road, her wheelchair occasionally rattling a bit due to the bumpiness of the path, but otherwise seemed to ride smoothly over the stones. The occasional puff of steam would erupt from the little ‘chimney’ built on the back of the chair that served as ventilation, and the clicking and ticking of clockwork gears could faintly be heard if one listened closely enough as it moved along. Chrysanthemum’s gaze went back over towards the green-haired trainer again as he/she spoke up, asking first for a confirmation of her name since he/she had picked it up while she and Professor Sycamore had been conversing. ” Yup~ Chrysanthemum’s the name, machines are my game! But please, feel free to call me Chrys, or Chrysa, or whatever nickname ya come up with, as long as it ain’t embarrassing and whatnot,” she said with a grin, dipping her head towards the man in greeting as she flashed a thumbs up. She would’ve bowed, since that seemed to be the more courteous approach, but her wheelchair could only allow her to do so much with just her upper body. The redhead smiled widely as the green-haired trainer said that they really liked her chair. ” Awww, why thank you~” she responded gratefully, a thoughtful look dominating her face when the trainer asked if she had made it. ” Uhhhhh… mostly yes, but partially no, I think,” she answered after a moment of deliberation as she glanced around at her chair, ” I used one of those basic electric wheelchairs that most physically handicapped people get from the hospital as the basic template, and then I went through multiple processes of disassembling it, reassembling it, upgrading it, all that jazz. Had this since I was eight, it’s a continuing work in progress, if that’s an actual legit thing~” She paused for a moment after finishing that last sentence, almost shocked that it had been ten or so years ever since the accident that cost her the ability to walk. Of course, Chrysanthemum tended to not let her handicap dampen her spirits in the least, knowing that she wouldn’t get anywhere fast in life if she was just sitting around and sulking all the time. And she certainly wasn’t going to let her disability get in the way of her dreams, she was going to become the next greatest inventor no matter what, handicap or not. Nonetheless, an amused grin crossed her face at the green-haired trainer’s comment regarding her apparent love of machinery, saying that they didn’t know much about it but she seemed to have a healthy knowledge of it. The redhead laughed aloud at his/her joke about inviting her over the next time the toaster was busted. Even if it was just a joke, Chrysanthemum couldn’t help but play along. ” Heh, oh certainly, I’d be happy to~ Maybe I can fix the fridge, the TV, and your computer while I’m at it~” she said playfully with a toothy grin, rather enjoying this guy’s witty sense of humor. Taking a deep breath to recover from her fit of laughter, she smiled warmly as the trainer introduced himself as Bastien. ” Bastien, huh? As in Sebastian or something along those lines?” she asked in a lightly joking tone, feeling somewhat relieved now that she was sure that this person was indeed male, ” Pleasure to meetcha as well, Bastien~ We’re gonna get along just great from here on out, I can tell ya that much!” She hadn’t expected to actually travel with someone upon her arrival in Kalos, since most trainers tended to go about their own business from what she’d seen. Still, Bastien was certainly an intriguing and charming individual, and Chrysanthemum found herself enjoying his company more and more the longer they stuck together. Perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to accompany Bastien during her travels, and maybe even make a new friend in the process. ” So tell me a bit about yourself, Bastien… ya mind if I call ya Bass or something like that?” she asked as she affixed him with a curious gaze, ” Since ya seem to know quite a bit about these parts, would I be correct in assuming that you’re a Kalosian native?” She figured that he had to be a native of Kalos, since he seemed to know so much about the Pokemon around here and seemed quite familiar with the lay of the land already. Though she couldn’t help but notice the lack of a French accent in Bastien’s voice, as opposed to Sycamore who was certainly more out there with his strong accent and how he threw around French words like it was his job. Meanwhile, Chrysanthemum was so engaged in her conversation with Bastien that she hadn't noticed Amaterasu wandering a little ways ahead of them. The Fennekin was eagerly sniffing around at the different flowers decorating the yards of the Vaniville residents. Everything around here smelled so pretty! She could spend hours upon hours on end just exploring the many different kinds of blossoms that this town had to offer! However, as she was sniffing at a small patch of bright violet blooms, her keen sense of smell caught on to a scent that smelled vastly different from the flowers she'd been whiffing for the past five minutes. Nosing aside some of the flowers, her eyes lit up with curiosity as she spotted something laying amid the blossoms. It looked to be a mushroom of some kind, with a white-ish stalk and a bright yellow cap with an orange ring and an orange spot right in the center. Ammy wasn't entirely certain of what it was, but it sure smelled tasty... " Weeellll... maybe one bite wouldn't hurt..."she mused to herself, before she did the exact opposite of what she had said she would do. Instead of taking a bite of the shroom, the Fennekin opened her little fanged mouth wide and devoured the entire thing in a single bite. Ammy hummed contentedly to herself as she chewed, rather enjoying the unexpectedly sweet but earthy flavor of the mushroom. Giving a deep swallow moments after, the Fennekin's eyes went wide as she suddenly felt a wave of nausea roll over her the moment she had gulped it down. She felt rather sick to her stomach, growling lowly in discomfort as she staggered her way back towards Chrysa and Bastien in a seemingly dazed or drunken state." Urgh... I... I don't think that mushroom agreed with me.."she groaned, feeling as though she was about to puke at any given moment.】☆ ☆

Sorry if it I appear to be spamming you with a bunch of Notices! I had to go back and make some minor edits to my previous posts to include some missing numbers in my counters x3
So Pipes was pleased... That was good. Bastien gave a sigh of relief, looking between Chrysa and Pipes every now and then. It was good that she didn't bite, because Bastien thought that she was pretty dang scary looking! Shaking away the thought of a Noivern swooping down to chomp on his head, Bastien responded to Chrysa's question. Like a ninja... Yes, that was exactly it! He snapped his fingers and smiled, looking quite pleased. "Mhm! A Greninja. You see 'em sometimes on competitive teams when you watch the Battle Network on TV here, and they've got all sorts of cool special moves." After that, Chrysa gave him another question. She was curious as to what Chespin evolved into, and probably Fennekin as well. Glad to be of whatever use he could, Bastien looked over towards Amaterasu before grabbing Bita's ball and tossing it out to give his newest Pokemon some fresh air. "Fennekin goes from Braixen to Delphox, and Chespin goes from Quilladin to Chesnaught. I hear he's the least popular starter choice in Kalos most of the time," Bastien admitted a little sadly. "But... I don't pay attention to things like that. I'd rather pick something that I like than go along with the crowd and grab a Charizard or something, blech. That's also why I think Greninjas are so cool, cuz they can counter those overgrown lizards..." He stuck his tongue out at the ground, but then quickly snapped back up, suddenly feeling quite apologetic. "O-oh, but no offense to you if you like Charizards! H-haha! Heh...!"
That was a subject that Bastien was quite vocal on. It was easy to take a bunch of powerful and proven Pokemon and just wipe the floor with whatever competition came one's way, but that didn't sound exciting at all to him. Some of his favorite trainers lost late on in competitions because they had to go against a Mega-evolved and totally overused Pokemon. Every time a trainer competed on television and brought out a Mega Charizard or a Mega Tyranitar, or something along those lines, Bastien could only sigh. It was boring! Teams like that were so boring to him...
Blinking once or twice to process what Chrysa said about running him over again, Bastien chuckled. "That's super effective, so be careful. My poor little feet can only take so much!" Chrysa then told him that he could potentially come up with his own nickname for her, as long as it wasn't embarrassing. Naturally, as any adolescent male would, he smirked slyly and rubbed his chin, thinking of something embarrassing almost immediately after she'd said that. However, Bastien wasn't cruel. Chrysa was her friend after all! "Awright, Chrysa it is!" He listened carefully to her as she explained that she'd modified a basic wheelchair to an excruciating extent. "And you're still working on it? Does it get good gas mileage?" Passively joking as he inspected Chrysa's chair a little more, Bastien jumped a bit as a puff of steam shot up from an exhaust point on the back of it. He realized that his energy might have been too high, however, and so he promptly calmed down a little. "O-oh, sorry. Yeah, I'm not too fond of my first name. My Mom insisted on a Kalosian name, and my Dad was a total pushover when it came to dealing with Mom, so... Bam! Bastien, at your service." Laughing softly, Bastien gave Chrysa a quick two-finger salute and a wink, approving her nickname for him. "Bass is fine!"
He listened to the red-headed girl more, curious as to what she would ask next. "Not quite native... Mama was born and raised in Lumiose and so was I. Dad was from Kanto, and he taught me how to speak, so I never really picked up the accent. You should hear my mom, though... Geez. Oui oui, monsieur, ze flowaz ahh fifteen percent off! Is magnifique deal, non~?" Scratching his head after putting on his best impression of his mother, Bastien chuckled. "I definitely know my way around, though! Just consider me as your official Kalos tour guide, if you want!" Only partially joking, Bastien grinned and puffed out his chest. "Oh, that reminds me. Where are you from, Chrysa?"
'Ches,' said Bita quietly, watching the Fennekin wandering ahead towards some residential gardens. Glancing boredly back towards his new trainer and the girl he was with, Bita waddled over to join the other Pokemon. "What are you doing, you goofball? Don't go sniffing things that don't belong to--" Eyes widening a little, the Chespin displayed his first ever public sign of surprise or shock. "Y-you dummy!" Swiftly waddling beside Ammy, Bita predicted that she would start to feel sick right after eating that strangely-colored mushroom. He panicked, following Ammy back to the two trainers before he frantically began patting the Pokemon's back. "Spit! Spit it out! You have to live so I can outperform you later!"
'Ches! Chespin!' Bastien turned, only just now noticing the two of them. "A-ahhhh, what happened now?" The young man began panicking as well; he knelt down in front of the two Pokemon, concerned mainly for the well being of Chrysa's starter. "Should we head back to the Lab? Oh, but there's also a PokeCenter in the next town, I think..."

☆ ☆【Bastien seemed relieved when Piper had managed to settle down completely, the Noivern feeling quite glad that the green-haired boy was respectful of boundaries and willing to give her the space she needed. Chrysa smiled amiably at that, assuring the boy that Piper wasn’t very prone to biting unless she was extremely agitated or threatened. When he went on to describe the evolutions of Fennekin and Froakie, the redhead gladly listened, rather engaged since these were Pokemon that she was only now just learning about. When she asked about if Froakie’s final evolution form was something like a ninja, based on Bastien’s ‘speed demon’ description of it, it seemed that she had hit the nail right on the head as he snapped his fingers and smiled. He named the ninja-like final evolution of Froakie as Greninja, saying that she should see them sometime when she got to watch the Battle Network around here, where they would display competitive Pokemon battles for the public to watch from the comfort of their homes. ” Battle Network, huh? Sounds like a blast!” she said with a grin, wondering if there was a certain area where they would film these battles as they were happening, ” Who knows, maybe we can have our chance to be on national television one of these days~ The trainers who do those competitive battles must be some of the best around!” She grinned widely as Bastien described that Greninjas had all kind of special moves, and she couldn’t help but wonder at the possibilities. Chrysa glanced over towards Ryouichi, who seemed to be pretending to be virtually uninterested in their conversation when he was clearly listening to every word they were saying. ” Ya hear that, Ryou? You’re gonna grow up to be a real badass one of these days~” she said with a chuckle, quite excited to see the day that her little Froakie would become a big bad Greninja. Ryouichi opened one of his eyes and gazed at her, before a smirk crossed his face at the comment and he nodded, as if to say ‘damn right I will’. When she asked about Chespin’s evolutionary chain, Bastien sent out his own Chespin, towards whom Chrysa glanced over curiously before turning her attention to the green-haired boy. He went on to explain that Fennekin evolved into Braixen, and then to Delphox from there, and Chespin evolved into Quilladin and Chesnaught. ” Ah, so… like a rogue, a mage, and a juggernaut or warrior type thing? Sounds like something straight from an RPG~” she commented lightly with a grin. It made sense though, Greninja was essentially like a rogue or assassin, Delphox sounded like ‘delphine’ or whatever that word was that meant like a priest or mage, and Chesnaught definitely sounded like a warrior to her. It sounded perfectly logical! Nonetheless, she listened further as Bastien explained how Chespin was the least popular starter out of the three most of the time. But he didn’t tend to pay attention to things like popularity, saying that he’d rather pick what he liked rather than going with the crowd and grabbing something like a Charizard. She couldn’t help but chuckle at his expression of disgust when he mentioned the Charizard, and he thought Greninjas were cool because they could counter those ‘overgrown lizards’. However, he seemed to realize himself and quickly stated that he meant no offense if she liked Charizards. ” Hey hey, relax~ I ain’t one to judge people because of their Pokemon preferences and whatnot, so it’s all good! Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions, right?” Chrysa insisted as she held up her hands in a reassuring gesture, ” But yeah, I get what you’re saying. I think ya have the right idea, trainers should be able to choose their own Pokemon based around their own preferences rather than just getting a certain Pokemon because everyone else is getting one, y’know?” She glanced back over towards Bastien’s starter, giving a small smile. ” Ah, but poor Chespin, always having to play the underdog because he ain’t most people’s first choice,” she commented, reaching over a little to give Bastien a good-natured pat on the shoulder, ” But I’m sure he can make up for it~ I know he’ll be able to show the world that ya don’t have to be popular to be good at battling~” The guy seemed to lost in his own little world for a second, but quickly recovered from his daze at her comment about the possibilities of running him over again in the future. She grinned as he said that it was super effective and that she should be careful, since his feet could only take so much abuse from a heavy wheel. ” I’ll try to be more careful around ya, no guarantees though~ Just pray that ya ain’t in the way if I start getting drifty over any machines in a five-hundred foot radius,” she said with a chuckle, nodding towards his shoes, ” And if ya end up having to be in a wheelchair for whatever reason, I’d be glad to make some awesome modifications to it for ya free of charge~” She was only joking, of course, though she really hoped that it wouldn’t have to come to that anytime soon. At her comment about how he could call her whatever nickname he wanted apart from the standard Chrys or Chrysa, as long as it wasn’t embarrassing, she could’ve sworn that Bastien had that certain sly twinkle in his eye as he rubbed his chin in a very scheming manner. She was tempted to dare him to come up with an embarrassing nickname for her, but was quite relieved when he gladly settled for calling her Chrysa. ” Good, good, otherwise I would’ve had to chuck something at ya as retribution~” she said with a laugh. She wasn’t the type who was easily angered or offended, apart from if other people called her ‘cripple’ or something along those lines. So Bastien had saved himself from possibly getting beaned in the head with a rock or something heavier than that in the near future, for now at least. Chrysa was the kind of person who tended to throw random objects at people if they really annoyed her or pissed her off, and her throwing arm was not to be taken lightly. When he asked about if she had made her chair, Chrysa was glad to provide an explanation of it. Over ten years of disassembling it, reassembling it, modifying it, adding new attachments, and it was still a continuing work in progress. Bastien seemed surprised that she was continuing to work on it after so long, and jokingly asking if it got good gas mileage. Chrysa grinned and laughed in return, nodding in response. ” Heh, it sure does~ This baby runs on a combination of steam-generated electricity and clockwork mechanics, and it can move at speeds that any average wheelchair can only hope to achieve!” she said proudly, beaming brightly as Bastien said that it was amazing that she was still adding new mods to it after ten years. ” Thank ya~ I’m still working on how to get this thing to maneuver around stairs though, I swear those things are the bane of people in wheelchairs everywhere,” she commented with a slight frown, ” I ain’t gonna let them get the best of me though, I swear I WILL conquer those dastardly stairs one of these days!” Still, she had to appreciate Bastien’s enthusiasm, excessive as it might be, and she couldn’t help but grin widely. He calmed down quickly, however, and went on to explain the origins of his name. Apparently his mother was adamant on giving him a Kalosian name, and his dad was willing to let her have her way, and so Bastien was born. ” Yeah, I get that, I wasn’t really that fond of my own name either when I was younger,” Chrysa said with a slight frown, recalling those rather unsavory childhood memories, ” Where I was raised, Chrysanthemum wasn’t exactly a typical kid’s name. I used to get picked on a lot by my classmates because of it… I’ll admit that those were the times I wished I had a normal name like everyone else, y’know? All the other kids had names like Sarah, Claire, Connor, Joseph… I was the only one with an unusual name in my whole school.” She eventually had learned to accept the uniqueness of her name, primarily thanks to one of her teachers who actually complimented her name when everyone else ostracized her for it. Of course, most other people she’d met couldn’t be bothered with addressing her by Chrysanthemum, but she was perfectly fine with being called Chrys or Chrysa for the sake of convenience. Still, her dampened spirits didn’t last for long, and she was quite pleased that Bastien approved her nickname for him. When she asked if he was actually a native of Kalos, since he seemed quite familiar with the region as it were, she listened intently as he answered. So he was a native, but at the same time not quite… His mother was born and raised in Lumiose, and he had been raised there as well, but his father was from Kanto. Chrysa couldn’t help but laugh at his impression of his mother’s French accent, finding it to actually be almost so spot on that it was genuinely quite amusing. ” Oh wow, and I thought the Doc’s accent was strong, but it sounds like your mom blows him right out of the water!” she said in a lightly joking tone, ” She certainly sounds like someone I might like to meet sometime when we get to Lumiose~ At least, if you don’t mind introducing me, that is!” She gave a toothy grin when Bastien confirmed that he did know his way around the region, and jokingly adding that she could consider him as her official Kalos tour guide. ” Well, good thing that I came across ya when I did! Kalos is an entirely new place for me, so my knowledge of the region is… amateur at best,” she admitted with a nod, chuckling softly, ” A tour guide is definitely much appreciated, especially one as enthusiastic and good-humored like yourself, Bass~” She blinked a bit when Bastien then asked where she was from, apparently not having picked up on the part of her conversation with Sycamore where she said she’d come from Hoenn. Still, she gave a small smile and was happy to provide him with an answer. ” I’m from Mossdeep City in Hoenn,” she responded with a dip of her head, ” It’s a pretty nice place to live if you like being able to go to the beach every day, and it’s the perfect spot to watch meteor showers whenever they come around~ Of course, it probably would’ve been more tolerable for me to live there if it weren’t for my thalassophobia…” A slight frown crossed her face towards the end of the last sentence. She didn’t really like to admit to her fears that much, since she liked to figure herself as virtually fearless. But she supposed that there wouldn’t be much harm in telling Bastien, he seemed like a pretty trustworthy fellow from what she knew of him. Of course, she was so engaged in her conversation with the guy that she hadn’t noticed Amaterasu wandering off a little ways ahead. The Fennekin had been happily sniffing around at all the pretty flowers in the area, until she came across some sort of strange-looking mushroom inside a patch of bright violet blooms. She could hear the Chespin behind her telling her to not go sticking her nose where it didn’t belong, but the mushroom just smelled so good that she couldn’t help but practically devour the whole thing in one bite. Not even ten seconds after swallowing the mushroom, Ammy suddenly felt absolutely sick to her stomach as overwhelming nausea gripped her. The little fox’s vision blurred around the edges, and she felt like she was going to start puking at any moment. She could hear the Chespin reprimanding her, and she opened her mouth to say something back, but all the came out was a truly sickened groan. Dazed and swooning, Amaterasu staggered her way back towards Chrysa and Bastien to alert them of the situation, complaining that the mushroom didn’t agree with her as she ended up collapsing in front of the two trainers. Immediately the Chespin was at her side, patting her back as he told her to spit out the mushroom, demanding that she needed to live so that he could outdo her later.” I… I can’t! It won’t come out…!”the Fennekin groaned, heaving as she tried to force the weird mushroom out of her stomach, but nothing was coming out. Ryouichi’s eyes snapped open upon hearing the commotion, a concerned frown crossing the Froakie’s face when he saw Bastien’s Chespin trying to force a very sickly-looking Amaterasu to spit something out.” What the hell happened to her?!”demanded the Froakie as he hopped off of Chrysa’s chair and quickly ran to Ammy’s side. Chrysa snapped her attention back when she heard the panicked shouts of Ryouichi and Bass’s Chespin, her eyes lighting immediately on Ammy, who looked rather pale as she lay there in the middle of the walkway. ” Oh Arceus, Ammy!” the redhead cried out in distress, feeling that something had happened to the Fennekin when she hadn’t been paying attention. Bastien started panicking as well, kneeling down in front of the Pokemon as he asked if they should head back to the Lab or press ahead to the next town where he believed there was a Pokemon Center. ” Pokemon Center might be the better option… Just hang in there, Ammy, we’ll get you tended to as quickly as possible!” Chrysa said, nodding quickly towards the path ahead before glancing back to the sick Fennekin with a worried look in her eyes. Reaching over, she pulled at a small lever on her wheelchair’s panel, and a mechanical arm sprung to life underneath one of the chair’s arms. Maneuvering the arm with the lever, she carefully positioned it until it could get a good hold of Amaterasu, and pressed a button on the small dashboard. The metallic fingers of the arm delicately closed around the Fennekin’s body, lifted her up, and withdrew back towards Chrysa’s chair with the little fox in tow. ” There, got her…” the redhead said, reaching out and gently lifting Ammy from the arm, setting the Fennekin in her lap. ” Let’s go!” she said with a nod to Bastien, starting to move her chair forward at a brisk pace towards Aquacorde Town as Ryouichi moved to keep up with her. Ammy needed medical attention, and fast.】☆ ☆

"She probably ate something funky," Bastien said as he furrowed his brow. He hated keeping Pokemon confined, but at the same time, they could get into a lot of trouble if left unsupervised. Suite and Sawa taught him that well, and yet he hadn't said anything or suggested anything to Chrysa... Not that it was his place to do so, but still. "Alright, Pokemon Center it is." Keeping his cool, the young man stood and shook his legs a little. Bita simply stood there, folding his arms with a frown as the Fennekin was lifted up by her trainer. He glanced at Bastien, and then at Ammy... Then he made a little scoffing noise before turning and running off down the road by himself. "H-hey, Bita! Ease up, turbo!" With little warning, the rest of them were all running off towards Aquacorde Town. Bastien was pretty fit, and so he was able to keep up with Chrysa... Bita, however, was far ahead. The young man could see him turning off from the road, most likely not even bothering to head to Aquacorde. In truth, Bita saw this as an opportunity to train, with or without his trainer.
"Hmph... Whatever, not my problem. While those numbskulls are preoccupied, I can get a headstart."
They were on the straight road to Aquacorde, and yet... "Bita! Ugh... Chrysa, I'll catch up. Ammy's gonna be okay as long as you hurry, I'm sure of it!" He nodded to the redhead before splitting off from her, heading off to the left where the road was no longer paved. He could vaguely see Bita further ahead, already engaging something he'd no doubt aggressively approached.

A Wild Scatterbug! Aw, crikey! Level 5 HP 100/100 Tackle, String Shot
TURN 1 "A-ha! I found you, you little... Huh?" Bastien stopped, noticing a Scatterbug staring down Bita. This also distracted the Chespin, causing him to turn and look at Bastien... The perfect opportunity for a well-aimed String Shot. "L-look out, Bita!" Far too late. Bita became wrapped in a strange silk, slowing him down quite a bit. The Scatterbug began closing in then, no doubt attempting to attack Bita. If it hadn't been for the distraction of his trainer, Bita would have probably already ended the fight. Gritting his teeth, the Chespin growled and lashed out at the Scatterbug, tackling the bug with all of its force. Even wrapped up as he was, Bita had plenty of strength... And anger, now that his trainer had gotten him stuck in all of that silk.
Scatterbug used String Shot! Bita's speed was lowered two stages! Bita used Tackle! Scatterbug took 50 damage! (50/100 remaining)
TURN 2 The Scatterbug was thrown back like paper in a heavy gust of wind. Its body slammed against one of the trees behind it, falling to the ground quietly... But not lifelessly. Bastien bit his lip and looked over his shoulder; he hoped Chrysa had gone on ahead to find help for poor Amaterasu. "Bita, we need to stop this. Our friends are more important!" There was little use in talking to Bita, however. Bastien had anticipated that; the Chespin merely glared at him and growled, still covered in the silky string. 'Ches! Chespin!' He barked, frustrated that he'd been stuck with Bastien as a trainer. Unfortunately, while the two stared each other down, their friendly opponent Scatterbug lurched forward and threw its body at Chespin as an act of retaliation, knocking Bita back and away from Bastien. "Agh!" It wasn't Bastien's intentions to keep distracting his Pokemon from the fight, but Chrysa and Ammy may have needed his help. "Oh, forget this!" Whistling loudly, Bastien drew the Scatterbug's attention and tossed an empty Pokeball right at it. In a flash of light, the bug was sucked inside the ball. It began to wiggle around until... Click!
Scatterbug used Tackle! Bita took 50 damage! (50/100 remaining) Bastien used Pokeball! Success! Scatterbug was caught!

Bastien couldn't watch any more of that. "...Bita, I'm sorry I interrupted your fight. You need to understand that we have to stick together. We have to trust each other! That means you can't go running off anymore. What if you'd gotten sick like Chrysa's Pokemon, huh? We'd both look pretty stupid, right?" The young man knelt down and placed a hand on Bita's head, looking at him quite seriously. "...Looks like me worrying about you got you more hurt than if I hadn't. What a mess." He took his hand off of the Chespin and looked away, frowning thoughtfully. They couldn't understand each other's feelings at the moment, but with time, perhaps things could get better. What worried him was having to go through the same thing with Sawa and Suite... As well as the Scatterbug that he'd just captured. 'Tch,' went Bita, unwilling to reconcile with Bastien at the moment. Shrugging, Bastien simply got up and put Bita back in his ball. "We'll sort this out later. I gotta get to Aquacorde!" Mind swimming full of bad thoughts, the young man ran back onto the road and towards Aquacorde Town, where hopefully Chrysa had found a Center.

Once out of Sycamore's lab, Roxas let Cypher go. "Alright, go ahead and run around, I know you wanna go analyze some sort of plant or something." She smirked. The comment sounded belittling sure, but it was an honest comment. Roxas honestly the Porygon was hatched, traded around, and evolved the day before she'd gotten it. Cypher had zoomed around scanning and analyzing literally everything it saw the moment she'd brought it out of the PC, and upon hearing Roxas' permission to roam freely, the digital pokemon gave a chirp of sheer delight, all to happily doing as she suggested. Roxas gave a light chuckle at Cypher's eagerness, watching and following nearby. "Just don't go too far okay?!" She yelled after the pokemon, and heard some sort of noise in confirmation as the Porygon-Z flew off. Roxas shook her head and sighed. Crazy little thing.

While Cypher was flying around, Roxas figured she may as well meet her new Fenneken. Normally she didn't like pokemon that weren't affiliated with sound or technology, but Roxas couldn't help falling in love with the little fiery fox. "Alright let's take a look at you." She murmured, opening the Fenneken's pokeball. It came out with a bored yawn, regarding Roxas with little interest, but Roxas smiled at the pokemon. "Ah you're just as pretty as I imagined. Com'ere princess, let me hold you." She crooned, kneeling down to scoop up the little fox. "Princess, yes, that feels right. How about I call you Zelda? A fitting name I think, for a royal beauty like you." Roxas smiled. Zelda certainly hadn't expected such flattery, but she certainly wasn't opposed to it, soaking it all up and letting it inflate her own ego. She held her head high and let Roxas pet and pamper her, until Cypher came back. "Master Roxas! Master Roxas! I have discovered another life form not yet in my databanks and added it to my known information! It is called 'Apple'. Isn't that a wonderful--" Cypher halted at the sight of the Fennekin in Roxas' arms. "Oh! Oh! New lifeform detected! Scanning.... Scanning..." Roxas' pokedex suddenly came to life.
"Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon. Fennekin expels hot air that can reach nearly 400 degrees and likes to snack on twigs."
Roxas nearly jumped at the unexpected noise. "The hell--?!" She pulled out her pokedex and Cypher blinked and moved to inspect the device with great interest. "Oh my!" Cypher said excitedly. "It appears I am compatible with this device!" Cypher insisted, though Roxas had no idea what it was talking about, only hearing a series of excited beeps and whistles. "Haha woah calm down there Cy.""Right, don't want you do have a malfunction or something sweetheart." Zelda sneered, somewhat annoyed that this cyber thing was distracting Roxas' attention from her.
