Place a Honey on a tree, and then you must wait 1 hour to come and check the honey tree. When the tree is ready, you must roll 1 10sided dice. All Honey Tree pokemon are found at level 15

Finding her way into the large forest, something oddly familiar was situated ahead of her as she came to a large tree centered around a four-way split in the path. "This... is like the Vermillion forest." She stated. Her Pokemon collectively looked up at her confused. It wasn't though. It was the Santalune Forest. "Well... this tree reminds me of it." It just sucked that all her memories after this were fuzzy and still being pieced together. With a sigh, the red-head turned to the right, and started going along that path.
It wasn't long before suddenly a male appeared, dawned in a white shirt with short blue shorts. A Net over his shoulder, the boy motioned towards Avikna with a grin. "You're the first trainer I've seen in awhile, let's have a battle!" Avikna furrowed her brow for a moment, she felt as through this wasn't going to be quiet that satisfying on either side. Regardless, she also felt that she wouldn't turn down a challenge no matter what the outcome. "Alright. Astrid, you go ahead and fight." The snake-like dragon happily slithered forward, and held her head up high. "Come on out Scatterbug!" The boy called, releasing a tiny caterpillar-like Pokemon. "Start with..." What attacks did Astrid have? As she fished for her dex, the dragon took it upon herself to attack, finding herself rather startled afterward when she'd used the only attack she had, Diamond Storm. "Huh?" Using the dex, she found Astrid indeed knew the attack, but.... "What kind of move was that?!" The Bugcatcher shouted. His little Scatterbug was already knocked out from it's sheer power. Avikna glanced up at her companion... she hadn't expected it to be so strong.... to know an attack like that. Looking back down Z3R0 had pulled up the image of another Pokemon... a feminine one that appeared to have one of those crystals on it's forehead. "Diancie?..." Avikna muttered. Looking back up, the bugcatcher appeared rather angry. He tossed forward another ball, this time a Fletchling appeared. "Use that attack again, Astrid." Being a Rock-type move, it was certainly going to fell the bird quickly enough. "Use Quick attack!" The boy shouted.
Getting in one attack was all the bird could do, because as soon as it began to retreat, Astrid focused in on her attack and launched it. The bird fell to the forest floor, fainted. Returning his fallen companion, the bugcatcher then released his final Pokemon, a Vivillon. The fully evolved butterfly, flapped her wings letting small particles fall from them. "Use Struggle Bug!" Flying forward, the beautiful Vivillon attacked Astrid, getting in a good bit of damage on the Dragon. "Astrid, once more use Diamond storm." If it was a rock-type attack, and if this bug was anything like a Butterfree, it would do massive damage, nothing it could escape from or fight against. As she assumed, Diamond storm did the bug in and the Bugcatcher quickly retreated back to Aquacorde to heal his Pokemon. Meeting up with Astrid, Avikna began to use a few potions to heal her up some. "That was amazing. To think you have that sort of attack on you.... A move only known by a legend." Astonishing to say the least, but something in the back of Avikna's mind told her this wasn't going to be purely a blessing.

Little tiny bits of information were slowly coming together to return her memory to her, but it mostly on useless stuff like type advantage. She wanted to know her past, the reason she was in Kalos.... what happened to all her Pokemon.... She was, conflicted on the goings on of her entire existence on this world. Not wanting to make her headache worse, the red-head pressed on and tried to keep her mind off of it, as well as to avoid any more battles. Regardless of experience, there was no need right now to fight other trainers. When she felt more comfortable with her memory then maybe she'd take on a few of the random trainers around here. That being said, she had the idea of challenging the gym leaders around here, given she had nothing better to do but wander, it only made sense. The first gym of course was in Santalune City itself... just on the other side of the forest.

The expanse of the Santalune Forest was large indeed. For what felt like an hour the group had been walking. Taking a moment to relax, Avikna sat down on the forest floor, and took the time to check on some of her things. finding the large amount of Sitrus berries, she pushed them to the side and began to go through the rest of her things. Everything seemed to smell of ocean water, which wasn't all that bad... but things like her clothes and her bag itself needed to be cleaned properly, which she could do in the Pokemon center in Santalune. "Did I honestly dress in this?" She noted as she held up a gray corset-like top. "And... short shorts?" Somehow she couldn't imagine herself wearing such things. she liked the top she was wearing now, and the pants she had on were super comfortable. The heals she could do without, but they did look nice. Aside from her clothes in the bag, she felt she had pretty good style. Looking up at her team, she rested her eyes on Zelda. As things were, she was the only one as of now that could tell her things about who she was and what she was doing, but.... she couldn't understand the Pokemon. With a sigh she stood up and stretched out her back a bit more. "Well we're almost out of this forest, so let's keep moving." Trailing forward, Avikna's Pokemon followed along. She was right though, their walk wasn't much longer before the light of the day outstretched before them and they made it out to the route south of Santalune City.

...Okay, so perhaps Bastien had been a little overconfident. "If we plow straight through, these roads can't confuse us!" He'd made sure that Chrysa was right beside him. They'd been traveling together for the short time they'd been in the forest... So what exactly happened? Running with haste to get to the next town so that they could easily train and heal up if need be, Bastien turned his head and found that Chrysa was not there with him. "A-ah... Oh, no..." His brow furrowed; the Pokemon in these parts of the woods were nothing to be scared of. What he was scared of, however, was the fact that he'd practically abandoned her twice now. A knot began to form in the pit of his stomach as the young man glared down at the ground. "Chrysa, I'm so sorry...! Dammit! I should have been more careful!" Slowly, he looked around the area. If he just kept his eyes peeled, perhaps there'd be a good chance of them running into each other!
...Hopefully not literally. Bastien's toes were still recuperating after that last incident. Sighing, he began to walk back towards where he assumed they'd came from. "Chrysaaa! Chrysaaaaa?" That call brought him no luck, nor did the next one. After no time at all he gave up on shouting. All he was doing was making a fool out of himself at this point. "Ugh, where do I go if I wanna encounter cute redheads in fancy wheelchairs?" Surely they hadn't been separated that long ago! Perhaps only a couple meters... Or miles... The pain in his stomach grew greater as he searched. "I'm such an idiot... Fwah?" Almost as if responding to his words, something on the ground tripped him up. An abandoned backpack. Not only did it give Bastien the creeps, but... There seemed to be something inside. Taking no chances, the young trainer took a step back and tossed out Sawa. "G-go and kick it," Bastien said quietly. Shrugging, Sawa did as his trainer asked and nudged the bag with his foot--
ASHDFJKSDHFJ!! A Wild Weedle! You like Weedles, right!? Level 4 HP 80/80 Poison Sting, String Shot
TURN 1 The Weedle hopped out, almost on cue. It looked quite angry... "Don't take any chances, Sawa! Fake it out!" Doubling back, the Tyrogue got into a stance and lunged at the insect. Readying itself, the Weedle curled up... Only to be thrown off-guard again as Sawa stepped off swiftly to the side, spinning his body and lunging once more right towards the Weedle's flank. Sawa brought his fist low and smashed it into Weedle's side before extending his legs and completing the technique, a mighty uppercut sending his foe flying back. "Fwaaaaah, that was so cool, Sawa! Don't let up!" So totally taken by surprise, the Weedle couldn't do anything but try to lick its wounds for a moment.
Sawa used Fake Out! Weedle took 40 damage! (40/80 remaining) Weedle flinched!
TURN 2 "You know what to do, Sawa. Just like Dad taught you!" Pounding his fists together, the Tyrogue ran forward with a gutsy roar, intent on finishing the Weedle with his next move. The Weedle, only just recovering from the last assault, looked up and saw Sawa charging straight at it. A single bead of sweat rolled down the side of its face as it turned and tried to get away--
SLAM!
Another body blow, this time with the force of Sawa's entire body packed into it. The Weedle was sent flying once more, completely knocked out. "Yoshaaaa-! Sawa, that was great!"
Sawa used Tackle! Weedle took 50 damage! (-10/80 remaining) Weedle fainted! Sawa gained 5 exp! Sawa leveled up!

'Rogue,' Sawa said promptly, giving Bastien a thumbs up. He then pointed to the bag that the Weedle burst out of... There may have been treasure inside. "I'd feel bad taking stuff out of someone's pack, but... This thing looks like it's been here for a while." Kneeling down, Bastien rifled through the pack's contents...

"Uwaaaah! What a haul!" The thing that caught Bastien's eye the most was a strange stone, quite unlike any he'd ever seen before. "Hey, what do you think this stone is?" Little did he know that it was Kangaskhanite- he'd no doubt be holding onto it for a while before any use came of it, but it was incredibly valuable. "Well, no sense in thinking about it now. Let's see if we can call Chrysa to arrange a meeting." Bastien promptly got up and took out his Holo Caster, deciding to leave her a message instead of actually talking to her... He had a feeling that she may have been upset.
"H-hey... Looks like I messed up, huh?" Bastien looked quite apologetic as he recorded the message; even though Chrysa wouldn't see him due to not having a Holo Caster of her own, he hoped that she'd still understand how sorry he was. "The forest has a way of mixing up which direction you're traveling in. My plan of just moving straight ahead and ignoring the paths didn't seem to work all that great... I'm really sorry." Looking around, Bastien signaled Sawa to follow him as they searched for any signs of a path out of the forest. "B-but don't worry! There's nothing in this forest that we haven't already seen before. Aside from being a huge time drain, I think we'll be alright. With the two of us in separate areas, one of us is bound to find an exit, and if that happens, then... Ohh, wait, how will we be able to tell each other? Everything in this stupid place looks the same..." Things were getting more difficult to plan out. "...Well, worst case scenario. If we don't find each other, I'll meet you in Santalune, okay?"

"Phew." With that message sent, Bastien felt a little better, at least. He really hoped Chrysa wasn't too mad at him... But again, there was no use worrying about that now. Returning Sawa to his ball, Bastien took a few deep breaths before hearing something strange in his own bag. It sounded like rustling... "Another Weedle!?" Frantically, he took off the bag and began shaking it. "Hey, get outta there, y'little freeloader! You have to pay the cab fare--"
Plop.
'Ches,' said the alleged freeloader. It was Bita, and he'd been in Bastien's bag out of his ball. "How did you-?" Bastien began to question him, but noticed that he was holding a strange egg in his hands. "Say, what's that? Did you bring that with you from the lab, Bita?" The Chespin shook his head no before looking away, obviously not wanting to talk to his trainer. "...Okay, fine, I won't push it. You... Really don't like having to follow orders, do you?" Folding his arms, Bastien smiled and raised an eyebrow at Bita. "I mean, when I put it like that, I guess it does sound kinda bad. Still... I'll try to keep you out of your ball so you can stretch your legs. But only if you promise not to cause so much trouble from now on, okay?" The prospect of being out of his ball was nice, and so Bita tilted his head in Bastien's direction before nodding very quietly. Bastien could only smile at this, happy that they were at least making a little progress. "Thank goodness! I was beginning to worry that we'd never--"
'Puff~!'
"YOU, TOO!?" Turning around, Bastien hopped onto one foot. Suite's startling appearance threw him off-guard; just how were they getting out of their balls? "Ugh, okay, no more of that! I can only make so many compromises, Suite!" It was then that Bastien noticed Suite holding that Heartscale from earlier. "You like that, huh? I suppose you can keep it... I have no idea what it even is." Maybe if he let his Pokemon keep the goods that they seemed to like, they'd all be a little happier. Perhaps they might even work better together... With hope replacing that bad feeling deep in his stomach, Bastien grinned and jerked his head further down the path. "C'mon, you two. Sawa already beat a Pokemon while you guys were goofing off."
Strangely, Suite seems to have come up with a new move! Mega Kick was learned.

No matter how far they went, their surroundings never seemed to change. "What is this, man?" Bastien wasn't going to give up, but... Things weren't looking so good at the moment. "This is so embarrassing... I've never been so lost before!" The winding paths and corners made things especially difficult for him. The roads seemed to end in certain places, leading into tall grass and trees... It probably would have been easy if he had a view from up above. Sadly, Bastien had no flying Pokemon. Another mistake on his part. Sighing, the young man decided to wade through the tall grass in order to see if there was a path of some sort further up ahead. When he did, however...

TURN 1 "Ugh... We'll never get stronger if we don't find tougher opponents! Bita, I suppose you can handle this--"
'Puff!' Suite cut them both off, jumping straight forward. "Huh? Suite, hold on, you've never battled--" Too late. Suite was in fighting mode now as she spun in place, almost like a ballerina. The pink puffball was quickly picking up speed, twirling like a top as the Scatterbug watched her rather curiously. "...What are you doing, Suite? This isn't a dance-off!" Quietly, Suite let out a sinister chuckle. She knew that Bastien thought little of her, and that she didn't seem to be that tough. However even she had a few tricks up her sleeve. In a flash, Suite pivoted on her stubby foot and spun through the air at breakneck speed, flying straight at the Scatterbug. 'JigglyyyyyPUFF!'
A devastating kick connected with the insect, quite literally making it blast off into the air. Through the trees, a faint twinkle could be seen...
Suite used Mega Kick! Scatterbug took 120 damage! (-40/80 remaining) Scatterbug became the first insect to land on the moon! Truly a historic day! Suite gained 5 exp! Suite leveled up!
BATTLE END
"Eh... Ehhhhhh!?" Both Bita and Bastien stared wide-eyed at Suite as she landed gracefully, spinning and flourishing for the two of them. "When the heck did you pick that move up? That was incredible!" Shaking off his initial surprise, Bastien smiled brightly at the Jigglypuff, who responded by tilting her head and giggling quietly. Bastien might not have picked up on it, but Suite also shot a villainous glare in Bita's direction... But it faded after a moment. Just enough time for Bita to notice it himself and become a little nervous.
She's strong... Was I wrong before? Am I the one who's out of their league? No... No, I don't want that...
Yeaaaah, that's right! Know your place, y'stupid lookin' pinhead!
Bita, looking quite angry and depressed now, growled softly. "Huh? What's wrong, Bita?" Bastien turned and saw for himself just how upset the Chespin seemed to be. Was he... Jealous? Frowning, Bastien recalled Suite back to her ball after rubbing her head a little as praise. "Alright, Bita, the next one is all you. I know you're just as strong as Suite, if not stronger. I trust you!" That was all he could say. Whether or not Bita would use it as motivation was unclear, as the Pokemon simply 'tch'd and turned away to walk further through the grass.

☆ ☆【With spirits high and preparations made, Chrysa and Bastien set off for Santalune Forest without a hitch. The redhead felt confident that there was nothing to be scared of, not that she would ever admit that she was afraid of ghosts or anything. Soon enough, the two of them were moving through the woods at a brisk pace, Bastien declaring that if they plowed straight through, the roads wouldn’t be able to confuse them. ” Heh, alrighty then, we’ll be in Santalune in no time~” Chrysa agreed with a smile, making sure that she was right next to Bastien as they moved along. Celeste was easily keeping pace with them as she ran alongside the wheelchair, while Amaterasu and Ryouichi were enjoying the ride in their respective spots in Chrysa’s lap and on the arm of her chair. However, at some point during their journey, things started to go wrong. ” Hey, how much closer to the exit do you think we are?” she asked, turning to glance over towards Bastien beside her. However, much to her dismay, he wasn’t there… Where did he go? Had he somehow run off ahead without her? Or had he taken a wrong turn somewhere? ” B-Bastien?! Bastien, where are you?!” Chrysa called out, glancing around frantically in search of her missing friend. Her worries only rose when she received no answer… but he had just been next to her a few minutes ago! Surely they couldn’t have gotten separated that far from each other, right? Arceus dammit all… ” It’ll be okay… don’t panic… the woods aren’t scary, right? Nothing bad is going to happen…” Chrysa thought to herself as she took a deep breath, trying to relax herself as she glanced around their surroundings. Celeste moved closer to her, gently wrapping a feeler around her arm.” It will be fine, dear, there’s nothing to worry about. You still have us with you, so you’re not alone,”soothed the Sylveon, rubbing Chrysa’s hand gently to help keep her relaxed. The redhead gave a small smile as she felt Celeste’s calming aura seep into her, helping to ease her worries. ” Yeah, yeah, it’ll be fine, I’ll just keep an eye out for Bastien and hopefully he’ll have found the exit by then,” she agreed with a nod, blinking slightly when she heard a beeping noise coming from her Xtransceiver. Holding it up, she saw it was a message from Bastien, and pressed a button on the side to hear it. His voice drifted out from the device, saying that it looked like he had messed up. He explained that the Santalune Forest had a way of mixing up what direction they were traveling in, and that his plan to keep moving straight and ignoring the paths didn’t work out so well and apologizing. Bastien said not to worry, since there wasn’t anything in this forest they hadn’t faced before, and that they should be fine even though it may take some time for them to get out of here. With the both of the in separate areas, surely one of them was bound to find an exit somewhere, though how they would be able to tell each other was a bit tough to figure out, and that if all else failed they could meet up in Santalune. Chrysa gave a small smile, pressing another button to send a message back to him. ” Hey, just got your message, I’ll try to see if I can find my way to an exit on my end and hopefully not get too lost in this forest. But yeah, if we can’t find each other anytime soon, I’ll meet up with you in Santalune! Be careful out there in the meantime!” she said, able to control the nervousness in her voice as she recorded the message thanks to Celeste. ” Well guys, looks like it’ll just be us for now, let’s get going,” Chrysa said as she nodded towards her Pokemon, starting to move forward once again. She hoped Bastien would be able to find the exit, in the meantime, she supposed that maybe she could do some training while they were wandering about aimlessly in these woods. Celeste kept an even pace next to her, keeping a hold on her hand as it was one of the only things preventing Chrysa from flying into a full-blown panic right now. Amaterasu yipped as she leapt out of the girl’s lap, wagging her tail as she nodded towards the girl.” Not to fear, I’ll get us out of here!”the Fennekin declared as she proudly puffed out her chest, turning around to gladly lead the way. ” Alright, go ahead and lead on, Ammy~” Chrysa said with a chuckle, moving along with the little fox as Ammy began soldier-marching ahead. Not long after they began their trek through the forest were they set upon by yet another wild Pokemon. Amaterasu’s ears flicked, and she looked up upon hearing the rustle of leaves in a tree close by. Sure enough, she saw a Scatterbug in the branches, glaring down at her with its beady little eyes in a daring challenge. ” See something, Ammy?” Chrysa asked as she noticed the Fennekin paying rapt attention to a particular tree. Whistling out a reedy battle call, the Scatterbug threw itself off of the branches and divebombed in the Fennekin’s direction. Chrysa looked up just in time to see the Scatterbug coming right for Ammy, but the little fox was more than prepared for her attacker. Opening her mouth wide, Amaterasu started to blast out fire at the Scatterbug, but strangely, the flames fizzled out before they could hit, and instead a stream of bright purple colored goo sprayed out from the Fennekin’s mouth. The Scatterbug’s eyes went wide, but was unable to stop its descent quick enough before it was hit dead-on with the goop. The bug was sent flying back into the trees where it had come from, Amaterasu flawlessly overpowering her opponent without breaking a sweat. Chrysa couldn’t help but stare in open-mouthed shock and awe at what had just transpired. Did… did Ammy just use the move Gunk Shot? But… how… surely Fennekin wasn’t capable of learning a move like that! Ryouichi even seemed thoroughly stunned as he stared at Amaterasu, absolutely agog.” How in the name of Arceus’s mane did you do that?!”he demanded, wondering how in the world Amaterasu had learned a move like that and when she had acquired it. Even Ammy seemed completely surprised at what had just happened, blinking in confusion.” I… I don’t know… I meant to shoot fire at it and then suddenly… that happened!”stuttered the Fennekin, unable to quite explain how she had pulled it off. Well, strange occurrences aside, they needed to keep moving if they were going to find an exit. ” Maybe that mushroom you got food poisoning from earlier had some kind of strange side effect,” Chrysa suggested, nodding towards the path as she started moving ahead, ” C’mon, we need to keep moving if we’re going to be able to find an exit at this rate, and Bastien as well.” Amaterasu nodded, already moving on ahead to continue leading the way out.】☆ ☆

"Huh?" They hadn't even had a chance to go anywhere before a voice chimed in from behind Bastien and Bita. Turning, the young trainer spotted a familiar trainer... A pale, white-haired boy. He had quite a confident air to him, and the way he smirked made Bastien feel a little uncomfortable. "Lemme guess, you wanna battle?" Furrowing his brow, Bastien turned and stepped out of the tall grass. Bita followed, looking equally tense. "If that's the case, then bring it on. No sense in talking for too long!"
Strangely, the boy began to laugh. "That's... That's a riot! You really think you can beat me, don't you? What a stupid girl."
"Girl!?" Clenching his fists, Bastien responded quite angrily to the boy's taunts. He was slowly beginning to realize just who he was dealing with... "So, York, I see you haven't changed in the slightest." York was a boy who was bullied just as frequently as Bastien back when they were in school together. He, however, had a different way of coping. For every time York was called a 'pasty-faced little shrimp', he'd retaliate by bullying someone else who didn't deserve it... Sometimes, he even just stood right there and pounded the crap out of the one who'd teased him. Bastien had no idea that he'd become a Pokemon trainer; he really didn't seem like the type of person who even enjoyed them. Heck, the only thing he did seem to enjoy was belittling and roughhousing others. "I'm not gonna fight you if you're just gonna keep talking, York. This isn't school anymore!"
York simply responded with another chuckle, tossing a Pokeball in his hand. "Sheeeesh, relax, Bassey. I was just joking around~!" Things were getting quite tense, despite York's words. "Here, as a token of our friendship, I'll humor you. One Pokemon battle! That's what you're here in the forest for, right~?"
York sent out Froakie! Level 5 HP 100/100 Pound, Growl, Bubble
TURN 1 "Awright, let's party. I'll be nice and send out my Froakie. He's weak to grass, right? I have suuuch a hard time keeping up with their stupid weaknesses." York stuck a finger in his ear, looking rather bored as he picked something out and flicked it away. "Oh, well. Go pound on him, or something. I don't care." The Froakie looked confused... As did Bastien. Still, it couldn't deny an order--
"What's your problem!?" Bastien grit his teeth, angry that York wasn't even going to take this seriously. "Bita, Tackle him!" Leaping through the air, the Chespin let out a battle cry and aimed to land right on top of York's Froakie. The Froakie, not quite prepared, attempted to hop out of the way. Bita anticipated this and flipped around, landing on his feet to tackle Froakie from the side. Yelping, York's frog Pokemon stumbled back before grabbing onto Bita and smacking it once with its arm. The two began rolling around on the ground, each trying to separate from the other in a violent wrestling match.
Bita used Tackle! Froakie took 50 damage! (50/100 remaining) Froakie's Protean turned him into Normal-type! Froakie used Pound! Bita took 35 damage! (85/120 remaining)
TURN 2 "Damn, I can't tell who's winning... Bita!" Calling out to the Chespin as he continued to struggle with the Froakie, Bastien glanced at York. He didn't seem concerned in the slightest. "Lift him up! Slam him into a tree if you can!" It wasn't exactly a conventional move, but it was similar to a tackle. Bita, hearing Bastien's words, scrambled to get good footing. The Froakie was confused, but did not cease to push against Bita... A tense moment passed, and then... 'CheeeeesPIIIN!' Using all of his strength, Bita lifted up the Froakie, holding him in a bear hug. He ran straight towards the tree in front of him, bracing himself as he smashed Froakie in between himself and the tree. It forced the breath out of Froakie and caused him to gasp for air, however Bita wasn't finished. Pulling him off of the tree, the Chespin spun and tossed his opponent back towards York's feet. "Bita, that was amazing!" Bita took a few heavy breaths, beads of sweat forming on his face.
Bita used Tackle! Froakie took 50 damage! (0/100 remaining) Froakie fainted! Bita gained 8 (5 x 1.5) exp!
TURN 3 "Ohhhh, no~!" Snickering, York kicked at the Froakie before recalling it back into its ball. "Whatever. Neeeext," he called, tossing out his second Pokeball.
York sent out Pikachu! Level 5 HP 100/100 Tail Whip, Growl, Thundershock
"Bita, take a break! Come b--" 'CHES!'
Bita stood his ground firmly, not even glancing back at his trainer. He wanted to stay out... He had to prove his strength no matter what. "Bita..." Extremely concerned, Bastien couldn't give an order. Not in time, anyway.
"It's time. Thundershock!" York grinned maniacally, ordering his Pikachu to attack first. A big jolt of electricity charged up in its cheeks, then shot straight forward towards Bita.
"B-Bita, look out-!" Too late. The Chespin attempted to move on its own, jumping to the left of the bolt only to watch it arc in his direction anyway. It made contact, electricity surging through Bita's tiny body, making him double over and shout out from the pain. "Bita!!"
'Chespin...!' Groaning, Bita staggered to his feet, breathing quite heavily. 'Chespiiiiiiiiin!!' Whatever was keeping Bita up at this point was unknown, but the Pokemon charged straight for York's Pikachu, burying its spiny head into the mouse Pokemon's gut and sending it reeling back.
"You don't know when to give up, do you?" York mumbled, crossing his arms as he nudged Pikachu with his foot. "Get up, nobody said you were done." It stood, struggling to maintain steady breathing after that tackle... Bita stood back up again as well, shaking its head to stay conscious.
Pikachu used Thundershock! Bita took 40 damage! (45/120 remaining) Bita used Tackle! Pikachu took 50 damage! (50/100 remaining)
TURN 4 "That Chespin's almost toast, anyway. Use Thundershock one more time and put it out of its misery." The Pikachu crouched down and charged another bolt, sending it straight for Bita, who was too tired to dodge again. The Chespin braced himself as painful electricity coursed through his body once again, yowling in agony. "Hahaha, that's what you get!" York cackled with delight as Bita fell to the ground. Bastien, however...
Bastien looked like he was on the verge of tears, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. "I can't stand this! I can't watch you get hurt anymore, Bita! Please...! Stop being so stubborn and get some rest!" Quietly, he took out his Pokeball--
'Ches... Pin...' Standing up once again and hanging by a thread, Bita stood. His entire body shook and he struggled to walk. It was doubtful if he was even conscious anymore. Despite that, the Chespin broke into a run, gunning it straight for York's Pikachu, who was so shocked by Bita's display of courage that it took a few steps back in fear.
'Y-you! You're a monster! J-just go down already!'
"T-the hell are you backing up for? Just get out of the way!" At this point, York was also visibly shaken. "Tell your stupid Pokemon to die already, Bassey! I'm getting sick of it!"
"...Fine. Go, Bita! Give it everything you've got!" In the end, that was all Bastien could do. Bita slammed right into the Pikachu, knocking the wind out of it like it had with York's Froakie. Both Pikachu and Bita fell to the ground then, but only one was still moving; Bita, who was prone on his back, taking haggard breaths.
Pikachu used Thundershock! Bita took 40 damage! (5/120 remaining) Bita used Tackle! Pikachu took 50 damage! (0/100 remaining) Pikachu fainted! Bita gained 8 (5 x 1.5) exp! Bita reached level 7!
TURN 5 "Tch, so what? I've got more." York tossed out his third Pokeball, then.
York sent out Pansear! Level 5 HP 100/100 Scratch, Play Nice, Leer
Enough was enough. "No more, Bita! You've done more than enough!" Not waiting for any objections, Bastien called back Bita and placed him away for some well deserved rest. "This Scatterbug should be more than enough. Go, lil guy!" Bastien's unnamed Scatterbug went out, squealing the second it saw a Pansear standing in front of it. "It's okay! Ha... You're kind of a scaredy cat, aren't you? Don't worry, this guy's nothing to worry about. Now go get him, Chatta!"
"Oh, shut up, already! Scratch that bug into little pieces!"
"Not a chance! Chatta, counter it with a tackle!"
"You and your damn tackles are really startin' to PISS ME OFF!"
Gulping, the newly-dubbed Chatta lowered its body and prepared for the Pansear to charge in. The second it did, Chatta bounded back and sprung forward. It didn't weight much, but getting hit in just the right spot with anything was bound to hurt. When the Pokemon collided, York's Pansear clawed at Chatta, leaving it with a nasty scratch as the two of them flew back through the air.
Chatta used Tackle! Pansear took 50 damage! (50/100 remaining) Pansear used Scratch! Chatta took 40 damage! (60/100 remaining)
"One more time, Chatta! You can do it!" Pleased that he was receiving some recognition, the Scatterbug nodded and boldly launched itself towards Pansear without pause. It smacked the monkey back, sending it rolling backwards to York. Another Pokemon was down...
York's outlook on the situation had done a complete one-eighty. He'd expected an easy win, but instead, he hadn't even managed to beat a single Pokemon of Bastien's yet. And he only had two more... They weren't even that strong, either. "Damn it... Damn it!"

TURN 7 "You were careless because you didn't take me seriously at first. This is your own fault, York!"
"Shut your mouth! I don't wanna hear that from some girly-looking punk like you!"

"Tackle! Tackle, tackle, tackle! Kill that stupid bug!!"
Bastien couldn't help but smirk. Nodding to Chatta, he knew that the Scatterbug was fully aware of what to do. Springing into the air, Chatta spun around and dropped headfirst straight towards the Bunnelby. Their heads clashed, each of them taking a considerable amount of damage from the exchange before separating and regaining their balance.

TURN 8 "Fwaaaah, that looked dangerous! Are you okay, Chatta?" The Scatterbug, obviously hurting, looked back at Bastien. Strangely, though, it looked... Happy. With one eye closed due to his injuries, Chatta nodded confidently to his trainer before turning to face York's Bunnelby one last time. "This is all you! He's wiiiide open!" One last tackle with all of Chatta's force would surely seal Bunnelby's fate...
BAM!
His head slammed into the still-recovering Bunnelby, knocking it down like a bowling pin. "Awesome, Chatta! Really awesome!"

TURN 9 There were no words left to say. Both York and Bastien were quiet now, staring each other down. Bastien recalled Chatta and brought out Sawa, while York threw out his final Pokemon...
York sent out Farfetch'd! Level 4 HP 80/80 Brave Bird, U-turn, Poison Jab, Leaf Blade
"Now, Brave Bird! Go!!" Almost immediately after it came out, Farfetch'd soared high into the air, turning around to drop and pick up speed. It was intending to slam right into Sawa...
"I can read you like a book, y'know! Fake him out, Sawa!"
Flying types had an edge over Fighting types like Sawa. The Tyrogue knew that, which was why his next move would be incredibly satisfying. Hopping back, he waited for Farfetch'd to zoom in for his attack. Closer, closer... Just as Farfetch'd was about to smash into him, Sawa spun on the balls of his feet, effortlessly dodging just enough to avoid Farfetch'd and deliver a crushing roundhouse kick to the back of the bird's head. Farfetch'd tumbled to the ground, looking quite confused as Sawa hopped around like a martial artist, smirking.
Sawa used Fake Out! Farfetch'd took 40 damage! (40/80 remaining) Farfetch'd flinched!
TURN 10 "Let's finish this, Sawa! One last attack! GO!" Summoning up all of his fighting spirit, Sawa dashed forward towards Farfetch'd, hitting it with a double-palm strike. It sent it twirling back, landing against a tree and tumbling down to the ground below. The battle was over.

Childhood Friend(?) York was defeated!
"...That was a good fight, York--"
"No it wasn't, are you joking!?" His normally pale face tinged with red, York stomped his foot. "I came here to ambush new trainers, and I ended up running into you... How the heck did you get so strong?" Not even waiting for a response, Bastien's old friend- if he could even be called a friend- turned and began stomping off towards what he assumed was the way out. "Whatever. Just you wait, Bassey. You're screwed next time!"
And with that, York disappeared. "Ahh, maybe I should have followed him... He probably knew the way out." Glancing down at Sawa, Bastien shrugged his shoulders. The Tyrogue gave his trainer another thumbs-up, confident that they could find the way out regardless. "Hm... If he was heading that way, then... It wouldn't hurt to follow him, right? I mean, all his Pokemon are in no condition to fight anymore, so he wouldn't have a chance to try anything funny on us." Both Bastien and Sawa nodded their heads, deciding that it was a good idea to tail that pale-skinned jerk. They couldn't have been far off from the exit now...

☆ ☆【Trees, trees, more trees… the whole area around them seemed to be just a sea of trees as far as the eye could see. But Chrysa kept going onwards down the path they had chosen, determined to find a way out of this forest and reconvene with Bastien. Celeste was helping her to keep a calm, relaxed outlook, just like when they had been back on the ship and she had been struggling with her fear of open water, and the redhead was thankful for the Sylveon’s presence. Amaterasu was happily forging the path ahead, though Chrysa couldn’t help but wonder how in the world the Fennekin had learned that Gunk Shot move. Of course, her first suspicions pointed to that strange mushroom that Ammy had eaten earlier that gave her food poisoning. Maybe somehow she had learned that move when she had chomped it down, but since Gunk Shot was a Poison-type move and the Fennekin’s body hadn’t been prepared to handle something like that, she had ended up getting temporarily sick as a side-effect. Not that the fact that she had such a powerful attack in her arsenal was necessarily a bad thing, Amaterasu seemed to be handling the new Poison-type move pretty well now that she had gotten over her sickness. Still, whatever mushroom that had been, maybe she should keep an eye out for more of them in the meantime, they seemed to be quite useful for helping her Pokemon learn stronger moves. Hopefully her Pokemon wouldn’t end up getting sick again if she found another and fed it to one of them, almost having Ammy end up a casualty from food poisoning was more than enough for her to take for one day. In the meantime, they continued their trek through the forest, Chrysa glancing around every few minutes or so to see if there was any sign of Bastien or maybe an exit. No luck so far, but they kept pressing on nonetheless, determined to not get too lost in these woods. Amaterasu sniffed eagerly at the ground ahead of them, as if she was attempting to sniff out Bastien or any wild Pokemon nearby who might try to battle them. However, her head snapped up as she flicked an ear, hearing some kind of commotion going on nearby. ” Hm? What is it, Ammy?” Chrysa asked, noticing the Fennekin had stopped all of the sudden and was gazing intently towards a particular area. Suddenly, the little fox took off running in that direction, her little paws pounding over the grass as she dashed ahead. ” Wha-? Ammy, wait up!” the redhead cried out, quickly going after the Fennekin as fast as she could. Celeste had to let go of her hand in the meantime, the Sylveon running alongside them to keep up as they followed quickly after the little fox.” Hey! Chrysa said to not wander off too far, get your a** back here!”Ryouichi called out after Amaterasu in an annoyed tone, knowing that the Fennekin was going to get herself in trouble again if she kept doing things like this. Ammy was more focused on finding out what all of the noise was, and sure enough as they got closer to where the Fennekin was going, Chrysa could make out voices shouting nearby.” Hurry up and catch it already! We don’t have all day for this!”hollered a voice from among the trees nearby, a male voice. Chrysa knew for sure that it wasn’t Bastien, and soon enough the four of them burst out into a nearby clearing where the ruckus was coming from. Two men in dark colored clothes were facing off with… was that a Lopunny? Chrysa was certain that it was from the looks of the bunny-like Pokemon, but this one was different from the typical Lopunny that she remembered seeing. Its ears were longer and seemed to be separated along each ear by two tufts of fur, more tufts sticking out from its forehead in what could be assumed as a butterfly-like shape. Moreoever, the fur on its legs were now black, with brown spots poking out in some places, giving it the appearance of ripped pantyhose or something like that. One of the men chucked a Pokeball at the strange Lopunny in an attempt to capture it, but the tall rabbit Pokemon was clearly having none of it as she smacked the capsule away like it was nothing with one of her ears.” Dammit, that was the last ball I had!”said one of the men, gritting his teeth in frustration at the Lopunny’s persistence in not being captured.” Well don’t just stand there, you idiot! Grab her! We can’t let her escape!”Narrowing her eyes, Chrysa decided that now was as good as time as any to intervene. She did not like the looks of these men, those dark clothes they wore looked shady enough as it were. Whatever they were trying to capture the Lopunny for, it couldn’t be good, Amaterasu growled lowly as she glared at the men. Even Ryouichi and Celeste were on edge as they were prepared for a fight. ” Hey! You numbskulls leave that Lopunny alone!” Chrysa shouted out to the men as she made her presence known, causing a lull in the standoff as the two men and the Lopunny turned to stare at her. ” What the hell… Oh, it’s just some punky kid in a wheelchair! Hey, kid, get lost! This isn’t yer business to go poking yer lil' nose in!”the man demanded, narrowing his eyes as he started to move threateningly towards her,” I ain’t afraid to beat ya down if ya don’t scram on the count’a three, even if yer a cripple! One…”Chrysa stubbornly stayed in her spot, glaring towards the men as the Lopunny seemed surprised but happy for the distraction. However, the girl’s eyes flashed a venomous glare towards the man as a certain word she absolutely hated hearing left his lips. ”… What did you just call me, jackass?” she asked in a low, angry, gritting her teeth as she glared at the man, as if daring to repeat what he just said.” I said I ain’t afraid to give ya a good ol’ fashioned a**-whoopin’ if ya don’t leave us to our own business, even if ya are a cripple!”the man snarled back, getting closer and closer to her with each step he took,” Two…”Amaterasu flattened her ears, preparing to attack this man once he stepped within two feet of Chrysa, Ryouichi cracking his own knuckles as he prepared to throw down. ” Get him, Ammy!” the redhead shouted out, grabbing an empty Pokeball from inside her pack and hurling it at the man with all her might. This guy had just said the forbidden ‘c-word’ right to her face, twice, now he was in for it… The Pokeball smacked the man right in the face right before he could say three with enough force to possibly break his nose, and not even seconds after impact, Amaterasu knocked him back into a nearby tree as she unleashed another blast of icky violet goo at him.” s**t!”shouted the other guy, who was already running over to aid his partner with the meddlesome kid. However, he had forgotten about the Lopunny not even ten yards away in his rush, and the bunny wasted no time as she dashed in, intercepting him as she delivered a wicked roundhouse to his stomach. The kick sent the guy flying a good few feet into the air before he landed on his back in the grass, coughing and clutching at his chest. The two men were absolutely floored, but they certainly weren’t stupid. Between the Mega-evolved Lopunny and this kid, they were more than outmatched since their own Pokemon had long since fainted from earlier when they had encountered the bunny.” Cheese it!”shouted the man who had threatened Chrysa earlier, staggering up from his position on the ground, holding his clearly bleeding nose and starting to run for it. The other guy groaned as he slowly picked himself up from the ground, wasting no time as he ran after his partner as fast as he could.” You’ll regret the day you started meddling in our business, kid!”he called back towards Chrysa, just before he and his partner disappeared among the trees. ” Yeah that’s right! Run away! Don’t let me see your ugly mugs around here anymore!” she shouted after them, huffing as she watched them disappear. Amaterasu snorted as she blew out a blast of flame, promptly returning back to her trainer’s side once the men had run off. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Chrysa glanced over in time to see the Lopunny standing right next to her, gazing at her with a sly grin on its face.” Not bad, not bad at all~ Thanks for the distraction back there, those two meatheads had been trying to capture me for the past hour or so,”remarked the Lopunny with a chuckle, nodding gratefully towards Chrysa as she moved over towards where the Pokeball the girl had thrown at the one guy had landed after it hit him. Grabbing it up, the bunny tapped the ball to her forehead, effectively capturing herself as she brought it back over to the girl.” This is yours, right? Because if it is, I’m coming along with you. You seem like a pretty cool gal to hang around with, and I guess I kinda owe you for helping me out back there even though I could’ve easily taken those two chuckleheads myself~”the Lopunny added with a smirk, Celeste translating her words into English for Chrysa to understand. So this strange Lopunny was doing her a favor by coming along with her for helping her out with the men, even though the bunny was certain that she could’ve taken them on herself. ” Hey, no problem~ Us gals have to stick together, y’know?” Chrysa responded with a smile, accepting the Pokeball back from the Lopunny and tucking it away. ” So hey, think ya can help me out here? My friend and I were on our way to Santalune City through here, and we both kinda got separated from each other somewhere along the way… Think ya can help us get outta here?” she asked, wondering if perhaps the Lopunny could guide them out of this forest. The Lopunny hummed softly as a mock thoughtful look crossed her face, before grinning widely and nodding. Motioning for Chrysa to come along, she started walking ahead onto a path nearby, heading in the northern direction. ” C’mon guys, let’s go,” the redhead said as she nodded towards her Pokemon, moving to follow after her new Lopunny in hopes to find the exit. Celeste nodded, padding alongside the wheelchair as they made their way onto the path, Ammy dashing ahead to accompany the Lopunny since she was still technically the ‘leader’ of their little expedition here.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【This forest expedition was turning out to be quite interesting thus far, especially now that she had this odd looking Lopunny as a part of her team after helping her beat up some shady-looking guys who were harassing her. She had never seen a Lopunny that looked quite like this one did, and couldn’t help but wonder how she had gotten that way. Was it maybe some new form? Or some sort of alteration that was made to the bunny? Chrysa couldn’t quite place her finger on it, but either way, her new Lopunny was now helping to lead her out of this forest. The bunny seemed to be quite familiar with the area from the looks of it, she strode ahead with an air of confidence around her, and took certain paths along the way as if she had traveled them many times before. Surely the exit couldn’t be much farther ahead… Chrysa sped up her chair a little so that she was now rolling along next to the Lopunny, Celeste, Amaterasu, and Ryouichi accompanying her as they traveled along. ” So… this has been bothering me quite a bit since that encounter back there, and I’m wondering, how and why do ya look like that?” she asked, pausing a moment since she didn’t want to come off as being rude or invasive, ” I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Lopunny that looked like how ya do right now, what makes your appearance so unique?” The Lopunny glanced over towards her, her long ears practically almost dragging on the ground as she walked.” Are you new around these parts or something? I thought that all trainers knew what Mega Evolution was by now, but I guess I stand corrected,”said the Lopunny with a quirked eyebrow, a bit confused that her new trainer didn’t have the faintest clue about Mega Evolution and how it worked. ” She seems rather surprised that you don’t know about Mega Evolution, I suppose Irene forgot to tell you about that before you left…”said Celeste, translating for the Lopunny as well as adding in her own two cents,” Mega Evolution has been around for a few years now, it was primarily in Kalos but now it’s started branching out to other regions like Hoenn and Kanto.”Chrysa blinked a bit, a mix of fascination and confusion crossing her face at Celeste’s explanation. Yes, Grandmama hadn’t mentioned anything about Mega Evolution before she had left Hoenn to start her adventures in Kalos. The redhead supposed that she had either forgotten to explain, or decided to not tell her in hopes that Chrysa would figure it out on her own in due time. ” Mega Evolution? How does that work?” she asked, glancing between Celeste and the Lopunny for further explanation.” Yeah, Mega Evolution. The general gist of it is that certain Pokemon have a sort of reaction whenever they come in contact with special stones, which causes them to change in appearance as well as giving them a boost in their strengths,”explained the Lopunny, reaching a paw up and gently tapping at a collar around her neck, which held within it a gleaming orb of some kind,” My Mega Stone is this Lopunnite I have around my neck here, so as long as I carry it with me, I’ll remain in this form and my attacks will be stronger than normal. That enough of an explanation for you? Because I’m not going to repeat myself again, I expect you to have an idea of how it works just from that.” Chrysa nodded slowly in understanding as the Lopunny explained, with Celeste translating for her of course. So Mega Evolution was brought about when a Pokemon came into contact with a certain object known as a Mega Stone, which changed their appearances and granted them more power. The Lopunny’s Mega Stone was called Lopunnite, from what she understood, and as long as she had it on her, she would remain Mega-evolved until it was taken away. ” Ah, alright, I get it, so like maybe… Salamence can use a Salamencite Mega Stone to Mega evolve?” she asked, wanting to make sure she had the general layout of it.” Good, good, now you’re getting the hang of it~”chimed the Lopunny as she clapped her paw-hands together in delight, rather pleased that they were now on the same page. Chrysa chuckled, grinning back as the Lopunny seemed pleased with her understanding. ” You know, if you’re going to be a part of the team, you’ll need a name~ Unless, you maybe have one already?” she suggested, wondering if maybe the bunny by chance was some other trainer’s old Pokemon that was released for whatever reason, she certainly didn’t seem like the typical wild Pokemon that lived in these woods.” It’s been quite some time since I had someone to call my trainer, however… the last name I remember being called was Regina, so I suppose that will be my name from now on~”answered the Lopunny, now named Regina, with a grin as she nodded towards Chrysa. The redhead listened as Celeste translated, smiling when it seemed that her new teammate already had a name figured out for herself. ” Regina it is then~” she agreed with a nod, ” Glad to have ya with us~” Amaterasu yipped happily as she wagged her tail in greeting to Regina, bouncing around the Mega Lopunny’s feet.” One day, I’m gonna grow up to be strong and pretty, just like you~”the Fennekin barked cheerfully, scarlet eyes sparkling brightly with childish giddiness at the thought. Regina chuckled softly, finding it rather cute that the little fox was actually looking up to her as a role model.” I’m sure you will, hon, you just need to work hard and never give up, you don’t get to be as strong as Pokemon like me by slacking around~”said the Mega Lopunny with a wink and a grin. Celeste rolled her eyes slightly at that. Regina was of good heart and pure intentions, but the bunny had a bit of an ego on her as well.” We’re not far from the exit now, Santalune City is just through those trees over there,”Regina spoke up, pointing a paw over towards a patch of trees nearby where a rather copious amount of sunlight was filtering in from the outside. ” Oh good, let’s go~!” Chrysa said with a smile, more than eager to just get out of these woods and into the city as she and her Pokemon headed for the indicated exit. Hopefully Bastien was making his way towards here as well, she would go back in to look for him, but she didn’t want to get lost again after just finding the exit. Surely Bastien had found his own way to navigate this vast maze of a forest, and they’d reconvene in Santalune City just up ahead.】☆ ☆

A vibration coming from Bastien's Holo Caster took his attention away from continuing down the pathway, and he quickly pulled it out to see what the big deal was. A message... A message back from Chrysa! He was equal parts worried and ecstatic; wasting no time, Bastien began the message playback and smiled.
"Hey, just got your message, I’ll try to see if I can find my way to an exit on my end and hopefully not get too lost in this forest. But yeah, if we can’t find each other anytime soon, I’ll meet up with you in Santalune! Be careful out there in the meantime!"
"Okay, she sounds alright. Good. That's good! We're not gonna die!" That fight with York had left two of Bastien's Pokemon quite weak. If he didn't get to a Pokemon Center soon, he'd never be able to forgive himself. "No time for training here anymore," he stated, deciding not to risk taking them back out to heal them with potions. "Let's get the heck outta this forest." It seemed York had helped them out slightly; they were now on a very set path, able to see everything that was up ahead. No more walls of trees, or tall grass, or forked roads. Things were looking up! "Still, can you imagine? If York had actually taken things seriously from the beginning and not lost his cool, it would have been a close fight. We still have a lot of work to do..." It was Bastien's job to worry about his team. As much as Sawa didn't want to hear it, he couldn't help but take his trainer's words into account. He'd been the last to get thrown out, and so he was curious how many of the others got injured... Rubbing his chin, Sawa smirked as he imagined the sight of Suite all beat up.
"Hmmm? What are you looking so sly for?" Suspicious of the Tyrogue, Bastien leaned down and gave him a doubtful look, his mouth curled up into that same cat-like smile he often showed when he was being devious. "Sawa knows something I don't, and I don't like thaaaaat~."
'T-Tyrogue! Rogue, rogue!' Raising up his hands, Sawa stammered and attempted to explain himself. Language barriers prevented that, however, and the Tyrogue sighed. Up ahead, though, Sawa spotted something: a Red-headed trainer in a fancy, souped-up wheelchair and several Pokemon. 'Ah, Rogue.' He pointed to them, tugging on Bastien's sleeve. It seems they'd been able to reunite!
Bastien noticed them too, and soon, he broke into a run. "We did it! I mean, we really shouldn't have gotten lost in the first place and any normal person would probably laugh at us, but we did it!" When the two of them were close enough, Bastien called out to Chrysa and waved. "Yoooo, Chrysa! Ha, haha... I got your message! Good to see you in one piece." Still wary, he chuckled nervously before looking down at the ground. "I-I'm really sorry," he admitted, glancing at Sawa to avoid looking her in the eye. Sawa, however, was having none of that. He lightly socked Bastien in the arm, glaring up at the young man before puffing out his chest. It was his way of saying 'be a man and look her in the eye'.
Before he could, however, he caught notice of a strange- but incredibly strong- looking Lopunny. It couldn't have been Kyan, since Kyan was apparently a Vulpix... Did that mean Chrysa had caught another tough Pokemon already? "I see you made a new friend?" Bastien already had a lot of catching up to do. Perhaps he should have set the deadline for their battle a little further away... "Hehe, that's good!" Finally, his gaze went back to Chrysa, hoping she wasn't about to give him an earful. "T-the exit can't be far from here. I met York--" He paused, realizing that she probably had no idea who that was. "...I mean, I met another trainer that was going this way to heal his Pokemon. We've gotta be close, yeah?"

Chrysa couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, already more than happy to finally get out of this forest after wandering around aimlessly for the past… how long had it been since she and Bastien had entered the forest and gotten separated? She supposed it didn’t matter right now, Santalune was just up ahead and they would be able to catch a bit of a break before they continued their training and went to take on Viola. ” Thanks a lot for the help, Regina~ Ya really helped us outta a bind there,” Chrysa said with a wide smile, quite grateful to the Lopunny for helping them out when she did.” My pleasure~ It’s the least I could do since you helped me out with those guys back there,”Regina answered back with a smirk and a wink, pointing towards the path up ahead,” Santalune should be just ahead from here, as long as you don’t stray off the path leading there, you should be fine~”The Lopunny pointed a paw towards the path that lay ahead of them, the exit surely wasn’t that much further away from where they were now.” Let’s go then, it shouldn’t be that much longer before…”Regina trailed off midsentence, her ears twitching slightly as she heard footsteps coming their way, and fast. Narrowing her eyes, the Mega Lopunny whirled around in the direction of the steps, paws balled into fists and raised in a defensive manner as she bounced about on her feet. She had expected one of the men who had been trying to capture her earlier was coming back around again, though she hesitated when she saw a young man with green hair and a Tyrogue at his side making his way towards them. Chrysa noticed Regina’s sudden change in stance, and glanced over to see what was making her so edgy. Her golden eyes went wide when she saw a certain green-haired trainer running over, waving at them as he called her name. ” Bastien! Oh thank Arceus, I was starting to worry about you!” she exclaimed with a smile, putting a hand over her heart in relief to see that her friend had made it out in one piece. He explained that he had received her message, and that it was good to see her alive and well. ” Same to ya as well~” she responded happily with a grin, though her cheerful expression faded a bit as Bastien averted his gaze and looked towards the ground. He said that he was sorry in a nervous and apologetic tone of voice, avoiding her gaze as he looked towards his Tyrogue. The Tyrogue, however, thought otherwise as it lightly socked the boy in the arm, glaring at the guy and puffing out its chest. Chrysa’s face softened, and she slowly moved her chair closer to Bastien and reached an arm out, gently patting him on the shoulder. ” Hey now, it’s alright, Bass… I know ya didn’t mean for us to get separated and lost, but I guess it couldn’t be helped either way. The Santalune Forest is pretty tricky, and it was probably bound to happen sooner or later,” she reassured gently with a small smile, ” I was really worried after we got separated and I wasn’t able to figure out where ya were, I’m just glad to see you’re alright~” As Bastien redirected his eyes towards her, he caught sight of Regina standing nearby, observing them closely. The Lopunny had lowered her fists and relaxed her defensive stance when she saw that Chrysa appeared to know this other person, believing that her new trainer knew this guy and that he was harmless for the time being. Chrysa gave a warm smile and a nod at Bastien’s comment about her making a new friend. ” Yeah, that’s Regina, she’s a Mega Lopunny,” she explained, figuring that Bastien was wondering why the Lopunny looked so different than normal, ” A couple of thugs were trying to capture her when I found her, but we managed to run them off, it was thanks to her that we were able to get closer to the exit and find you~”She glanced over towards Regina, who seemed to be eyeing Bastien cautiously as she stepped forward to stand next to her trainer. ” Regina, this is Bastien, he’s a friend of ours~” she said as she gestured towards the green-haired male to introduce him. The Mega Lopunny quirked an eyebrow at that as her gaze roamed over Bastien, but seemed to relax completely as she gave the boy a toothy grin.” Rather feminine-looking for a man, I’ll admit, but it’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Bastien~”she remarked, bending down slightly as she gave a little curtsy to the young man in greeting. Celeste huffed at that, shaking her head at Regina.” Oh come now, there’s absolutely no need for such unnecessary comments,”she scolded the Lopunny, finding that Regina’s remark concerning Bastien’s ‘feminine’ appearance was rather uncalled for. The Lopunny didn’t pay her any mind though, simply smirking at her before returning her attention to Bastien. Chrysa nodded as Bastien said that it was good that she had caught another Pokemon as he finally looked at her, listening as he said that the exit couldn’t be too far from where they were now, and that he had met ‘York’, which he quickly corrected to be another trainer as Chrysa raised an eyebrow in curiosity. Apparently the guy had come this way to heal his Pokemon, which surely meant that they had to be close. ” Yeah, I’m sure we are, Regina said that the exit shouldn’t be too far up ahead as well, so we might as well keep going that way,” she agreed with a nod, glancing in the direction of the path. ” We should get going then, Santalune should be just past the trees up there,” Chrysa said, turning her chair around to start moving in that direction. Amaterasu took up her position once again as she leapt into her trainer’s lap, wanting to take a bit of a break since they had been walking around for quite some time. ” Oh… uhhh… if you don’t mind me asking, and sorry if it seems a bit weird, but…” Chrysa started to say, glancing down towards Amaterasu in her lap before looking to Bastien again. ” Do you think we could maybe… hold hands or something on the way there? At least until we get to Santalune?” she asked in a slightly nervous tone, feeling heat start to pool in her cheeks as she posed the question as she quickly added, ” J-Just so that we won’t get separated again, I mean!” She didn’t want Bastien getting any weird ideas, she was just asking so that they would have a better system to let them know where they were in relation to each other. Besides, it wasn’t like he had to say yes, even though she’d feel quite a bit embarrassed about asking such a question to begin with.】☆ ☆

Sheesh, that Lopunny was scary! Bastien was wary at first, but... It seemed that it was lowering its guard. Moving on from that line of thought, the young man let out a sigh of relief as Chrysa forgave him. "Yeah, everything's alright now. I'm glad!" He smiled and nodded to the redhead before looking back at Lopunny, now introduced as Regina. "A... Mega Lopunny?" It was no surprise that Bastien was taken aback by that. Eyes wide, he looked at the creature in awe. Chrysa already had a Mega on her team! "N-nice to meet you, Regina!" Crossing his arms, Bastien gave a hearty laugh to cover up his nervousness. Not fair! Totally not fair! He couldn't really be too angry, though. Chrysa seemed to be on a whole different level than he or York. Perhaps he was overthinking it, but that was the vibe he got from her... In any case, they were reunited, and it was time to move on to Santalune. "It's right up ahead, huh? That wasn't so bad," Bastien said coolly.
'Rogue.' Sawa stretched a little, feeling a bit inadequate next to Regina. She was almost twice his height... Somehow, the Tyrogue had to bulk up. 'Bass, let's move it already. We need to take out that Gym Leader and progress to tougher areas.' He began to shadowbox a little, focusing on the journey ahead instead of how freakin intimidating Regina was.
"...Hm?" Stopping at the sound of Chrysa's voice, Bastien turned. She seemed hesitant about something... "Naw, what is it?" There wasn't much she could say at this point to affect her image in his eyes unless she just asked him something completely insulting. The question, however, was a little surprising. Chrysa wanted to hold hands... Hold hands!? Bastien's face almost immediately got red as he stammered a little. "H-hey, c'mon now, it's right up there. W-we couldn't get lost if we tried!" Still... That was quite tempting. Bastien was a boy, after all. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt, though? That's if you really don't mind," he said, holding out one of his hands to take Chrysa's. His blush faded a little and he looked at her seriously for a moment, concerned about one more thing. "You can... Still steer this thing alright with one hand, right? Are my toes in danger?"

☆ ☆【Chrysa had noticed Regina’s rather defensive stance when Bastien came running up to them. The Lopunny’s fists were raised, and she started bouncing on the balls of her feet as if she was prepared to fight if he proved to be a danger to them. However, when Chrysa happily greeted and began talking with Bastien, Regina slowly relaxed and lowered her fists, figuring that he was of no threat to them since her new trainer seemed to know him as she observed them. The green-haired boy seemed wary of her, but seemed to realize she wasn’t going to attack him when she eased her stance. Chrysa smiled widely when Bastien let out a relieved sigh as she forgave him, saying that he was glad that everything was alright now. She really couldn’t blame him for the fact that they got lost and separated from each other, he had said before that the Santalune Forest was tricky to navigate. It was likely that their separation was unavoidable no matter what. He glanced back over towards Regina as Chrysa introduced her newly acquired teammate, though Bastien was quite taken aback when she mentioned that Regina was a Mega Lopunny. ” Yeah, a Mega Lopunny,” the redhead said with a nod, a small smile crossing her lips as Bastien gazed in awe at the Lopunny, ” I’m guessing she used to belong to another trainer before I came across her, she was already holding her Mega Stone when I found her.” She remembered that Regina’s Lopunnite was attached to a collar that the Lopunny wore around her neck, which could only mean that someone else had been Regina’s trainer before she came to rest in Chrysa’s hands. Not to mention that the Mega Lopunny already had a name to go by, clearly meaning that someone else had named her long before. The redhead couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to Regina’s old trainer, or if she’d even had more than one trainer before, but she would avoid stepping into more personal territory for now. Regina smiled as Bastien said that it was nice to meet her, though she could detect the nervousness in his voice. Though she didn’t show it much on the outside, the Lopunny was actually rather proud that she was quite intimidating. It just went to show that even fluffy bunnies like her were capable of being excellent fighters if they put to the test, and she very much disliked the stereotyping that she couldn’t hold her own because she was ‘not tough enough’ or ‘too girly’. Even the Tyrogue at his side seemed a bit uneasy around her, the little Pokemon insisting that they get a move on to beat the Gym Leader and move on to tougher areas while he boxed the air with his fists. For now, since they were all now happily reunited with each other, it was time for them to move on to Santalune, Bastien saying casually that it wasn’t so bad. ” Yeah, let’s get a move on~” Chrysa agreed as their adventuring party began moving along in the direction of the city. However, a thought flashed across the redhead’s mind, and she spoke up to get Bastien’s attention. He turned around to her, encouraging her to ask whatever question she was thinking of asking as he assured her it wouldn’t be too weird of her to ask. Feeling rather nervous, Chrysa took a deep breath and summoned up all the willpower she could muster as she asked Bastien if they could hold hands. The moment those words left her mouth, she began to regret even asking such an absurd question to someone that she hadn’t known for even a day as her cheeks burned with rosy heat. Bastien was quite surprised by her sudden question, his face blazing a deep red with heat as he stammered that the city was just up ahead and that there was no way they could get lost now. Chrysa’s eyes went wide, and she immediately dropped her gaze to the ground, feeling rather embarrassed that she had even dared to ask such a question to him. However, when he said that it couldn’t really hurt and that they could do it if she didn’t really mind, the redhead looked up in surprise when he held out his hand towards her. ” R-Really…?” she asked in an almost meek tone of voice, clearly taken aback by his answer. Of course, she had half-expected him to refuse, but at the same time she felt rather relieved that he seemed pretty okay with it. ” I-I don’t mind, r-really,” she responded, trying to even out her tone a little as she reached a hand out towards his outstretched one. She felt her blush flare up as she gently wrapped her delicate fingers around Bastien’s hand, her palm resting against his. Taking a breath, she cleared away some of the redness from her face as Bastien gave her a serious look, asking her if she could steer her wheelchair just fine even if she only had one hand free to operate it. An amused grin tugged at her lips as he asked further if his toes were in danger of possibly being crushed underneath a heavy wheel again. ” Oh relax, Bass~ I can assure ya right now that I’m capable of steering ol’ Bess here just fine with one hand,” she said in a light tone as she waved her free hand in a reassuring gesture, ” I have ten years’ worth of experience with operating this thing under my belt, you and your toes have nothing to worry about, I promise~” Besides, it wasn’t like they would be holding hands for that long, just until they got into Santalune, right? Right… Reaching her free hand over towards the main operating lever, she eased her chair a pace or two forward while her other hand was intertwined with Bastien’s, then backwards to demonstrate her ability to maneuver the chair with only one hand. ” See? Nothing to worry about~” she chuckled as she returned her chair back to its starting position, nodding in the direction of the path, ” Now let’s get going, shall we?” With that said, she pushed the lever forward again and set her chair in motion on a straight path, keeping it well in pace with Bastien so that they would be relatively next to each other as they walked. Regina was more than eager to move on, walking along a foot or two ahead of them while Celeste was content with keeping a steady pace with the trainers as they headed for Santalune.】☆ ☆
