And how right he’d been! Huey giggled as he read over Cheri’s message, her odd, yet very proper text, never ceasing to amuse him. She was an Espurr? Such a claim required that Huey pull out his pokedex, to pull up the entry for said pokemon, but afterwards he felt himself more knowledgeable. Espurr were psychic type, which explained how she was able to hold the ability to communicate him, but weren’t naturally pink -- and neither was its shiny counterpart. Huh! So she was like Cloud then? A variant, sort of.

He picked up the little plastic egg and shook it, noticing for the first time that there was apparently something inside them. Huh…. Were these the prizes? Bracelets that could translate sign into speech, ... something about it just didn't sit right with her but if it would get her mother relax a little more, fine. "Oh I think you've got company, Nalani." Emory's head jerked around to find Tunks behind her holding a weeping Chespin in her face. Oh no! She'd left poor Chespin behind in her panic. "I think you forgot something." Emory quickly scooped up her Chespin comforting it bowing apologetically. "When ever you done~" Tunk forked a thumb to a both in the corner of the Pokemon center. With her mom, satisfied Emory joined Tunks at the booth eager to learn what the girl wanted with her. It had to be something important if she went through so much trouble to find her, and then to follow her back here, though she was grateful she had, Poor Chespin. "You ever heard of the Battle Chateau?" Emory answered with the "No" tattooed on the back of her hand. "Figures." Tunks said rolling her eyes. Emory's check puffed in annoyance slightly. "It's where all the Kalos Nobility gather." Wait, did that mean. Was Tunks aware of the reason she was here in the Kalos region? If so~ "You're going to need to do your trials there. It's on route 7 past Camphrier Town." Tunks promptly got up from the table pausing only give a final glance to Emory. "Good luck."
Tunks was gone and they hadn't battled but Emory sure felt defeated. She'd known she might be contacted by the Kalos nobles sooner or later. She just hoped it was more on her terms than theirs. Tunks didn't look the noble type but she now that she thought about it, she sure acted the part. Her blunt attitude wasn't quite as endearing as it had been. It worked out though because Camphrier Town was her second gym battle. She could walk into the Battle Chateau with a proud and confident win on her shoulders. The main roads offered the fastest route through but perhaps they were a little congested this early in the morning? Emory tugged at the reins to get the Pokemon to turn down a side road towards one of the flower gardens that dotted the city. They'ed be able to rest there until traffic let up and they could move freely without being in the way.
These sort of gardens where all over the Kalos region apparently. The biggest issue was the Combee that didn't quite like sharing the gardens with outsiders. Twice in twelve hours, a bug Pokemon took offensive to Emory and her wagon. Emory again tried to push the bug type away without resorting to violence but her lack of voice got in the way again. Most of City Pokemon were used to humans explaining they weren't out to hurt them that people like herself just came off as a threat. Thankfully Chespin lent the hand this time.

Emory stomped her foot making a nice metallic thud with the metal plate on the bottom of her shoes that echoed off the raised flower beds and Chespin rushed into action. Instantly the man's jaw dropped realizing his mistake but to ensure he fully understood Emory clapped to issue a different command. His shock wasn;t enough to keep his off guard though and soon enough a full-scale brawl was underway between them with Emory taking a clear and decisive lead and soon enough, the victory.
