Lumiose city was far different than Aquacorde. Scarlett had admired the little town's rustic yet modern appearance with cute little shops without that big city feel, but Lumiose actually was a big city. Somehow that made it lose it's charm in Scarlett's eyes. It was funny, one look at Scarlett herself and her stubborn snobbish personality and one might assume she was a city girl, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Landing in the middle of the city, Scarlett felt uncomfortable. There was so much land to cover if she was going to find an egg here, so she imediately let Vandal off, deciding to split up and return to the pokemon center in an hour or once either of them had found an egg.

As Scarlett started searching her quadrant of the city, she felt her wrist buzz with a new text from Zak, and took it gratefully. Anything to keep her mind off of the noise and crowds swarming around her.
Oh really? You like it better than 'Mishka'?
Scarlett looked thoughtful. She actually wasn't sure. Though she thought Lisichka was more accurate, Mishka was cute, and frankly, she liked the way Zak said it. With that low purr of his, she really did feel like a mouse, trapped in his claws... Rolling her shoulders back, Scarlett popped her neck and refocused. Now was not the time to get distracted and let her imagination run wild.
Mm.... Well I wouldn't say that. I like them both, really, each for different reasons.
She responded simply, taking another cursory glance around her. She wasn't trying nearly as hard as she should have to find the egg here.

Almost as soon as she had sent her first text, she got another one. It couldn't possibly be a reply to her text though, it had to be something he thought of in addition. Curious, Scarlett opened the text.
By the way, have you heard of some egg hunt that's apparently going on?
Scarlett blinked. Actually, she'd been hoping that she wouldn't have to tell him about that.... Lead him on to think that she was just that devoted to taking down gyms. Which.... She was, the fact that she was getting to collect eggs on top of that was just a bonus reward. Training and extra goodies to get when she turned the eggs in. Now that he knew about it, should she admit to it? What were the pros and cons? The event was already nearly over, so it wasn't like he'd be able to do too much of it. In fact, she sincerely doubted he'd be able to get all of them in less than a few days. Plus, telling him that she wasn't participating probably wouldn't stop him from doing it if he wanted to anyways. There was really no point in lying, other than out of sheer spite.
Yeah. It kinda sounded like a kiddie thing to me, so I wasn't really interested at first, but since I was already traveling around to battle gyms and train, I figured it couldn't hurt to keep an eye out and turn in anything I found.
She answered honestly. She had only really been interested for the challenge and the prizes, plus it worked with her plans to travel and beat other gyms for training.

Scarlett looked thoughtful, reading the latest of Zak's texts, which seemed to be streamlined now. Clearly, he didn't believe her downplay, given the quotation. Once again, she had the opportunity to lie. He was clearly interested in her progress or he wouldn't have been asking at all. He wasn't even trying to be clever about it. Lying here could prove to be tactical, but.... There was also the opportunity to rub numbers in his face once again, and that vastly overpowered any urge she had to continue being non discreet.

Zak, meanwhile, was keeping pace as he wove around the people and through the crowds. He kept his sunglasses down, against the glare of the day, even if they were long since passed the islands. He wasn't exactly dressed for exercise, but it didn't really matter; he was comfortable enough, and the point was to work up a sweat. Unfortunately, exercising everywhere and anywhere wasn't the best plan, but he'd figure it out. Maybe he could do some ab exercises in the next place, or something.

It felt like finding an egg here took a lot longer than in most of the other places. Then again, it was a lot larger. Either way, by the time Meebus found Zak, he'd taken off his shirt and tucked into the back of his pants, and was stopping to catch his breath. He looked up, frowning at the pokemon, even as the other two came up behind him. "Did you find an egg?" he asked, straightening up. Boo swept forward to present to him, and he took it, nodding before putting it in his bag. "Good. Let me just contact... our ride. And we can go to ze next location," he muttered, still sort of catching his breath, before pulling himself back together, and preparing to leave.

That was what made the villains so weird to Cheri to be honest. They all operated on this weird belief of taking over the world or some nonsense, usually using pokemon to do it. Which was hilarious really because if pokemon really wanted to, they could probably suppress humans into being their slaves without much effort.

They had the powers, the abilities. What did humans have? Brains and smarts, maybe. Machinery that took too much work to run. Really, they didn’t have much going for them. No powers, no skills, basically pokemon were the ones running the show. So, what was preventing a pokemon revolution? That was a good question. Maybe, it was rather hard to tell. Cheri had done a little mind diving when it came to Lafaytette and his past but what she’d found didn’t seem at all to match the ideals that Team Plasma had espoused.
