Terrence looked around at the entrance of the cave. The place was actually pretty dark, not that Terrence didn't expect any different. Az looked a bit afraid, but tried his best to put on a good act. He was trying to look cool, and Terrence just allowed him too. No point in making fun of him, after all Terrence thought the effort was commendable. After taking a deep breath he walked in, making sure that his pokemon were close by. Rava didn't mind the darkness, neither did Sky, or Zeek. Roy on the other hand was shaking and whining. It was to the point the Terrence had to lift the pup up and hold him securely in her arms. The dog pokemon nuzzled into his chest, as if trying to hide away from the darkness. It was sort of cute in a way, and regardless if his brothers called him motherly, Terrence would do this anytime of the week if it helped his pokemon. They traveled deeper into the cave, and Terrence was glad that they didn't run into any wild pokemon on the way through. After all, Terrence didn't really feel up to taking on hordes of wild pokemon in the dark. The thought was rather unappealing. With that, he quickly made his way though, not stopping for anything.

Then there was this stupid, dark, smelly, dripping cave. He honestly didn't really want to go through it again. One because he had to hold Roy and Az, secondly because this is where accidents happened. He couldn't see much, and sure the first time through the cave was kind of interesting since he's never traveled through one before. Now though no so much, now he just wanted to travel fast though and get the heck out. The rest of his pokemon seemed to agree with the idea, and went along with him. Eventually, he saw the light at the end of the tunnel and bolted for it. Sure his health might be bad, but that didn't mean he wouldn't run when he saw freedom before his eyes.

That way, if they do decide to follow in their mother's footsteps, they can just start going by their middle name, instead of their first!" Heather summarized, rather proud of her theory. With a grin she turned to Lysander for his thoughts, only to find him with his eyes glued to his communicator. "Uh, hello?" Heather snapped her fingers in front of her brother's face, at the same time gently herding Cadenza in front of her as they entered Connecting Cave. "Earth to Lysander!"
Noticing the sudden change in light, Lysander pushed his communicator back into his pocket before he looked up. "What's up?" he questioned, noticing the stare his sister gave him, even in the limited light. Heather puffed out her cheeks, "did you even hear a word of what I was just saying?" The man made a face, stuffed his hands into his pockets, then looked forward. "You were talking about Nurse Joy's and their name," he answered. That much he had at least heard, i.e. whatever had been said before he'd gotten his text from Melody.
Lysander sighed gently, "sorry, Heather. I was just... answering a text," he confessed, then removed his hand from his pocket to guide Heather by the elbow, helping her avoid tripping over a particularly rocky path. "You mean a text from your girlfriend," she clarified, and in the dark of the cave missed Lysander wince. He'd almost forgotten he'd jokingly called Melody his girlfriend, he'd need to correct Heather on that since there was a good chance the two would actually be meeting. "Yeaaaah. About that..."

Initially, it was a resounding over, but when Lavish, her newest traveling companion, had informed her the cave wasn't initially a naturally forming one, her thinking changed. It was built to hold the weight of the rock above. Meaning it wouldn't have random area's without light, it be safe. It still took nearly the entire day before to convince herself to go through rather than over.
