After catching the Pokemon he was after Simon healed Flaaffy up when a trainer appeared from around the corner. Introducing herself as Hannah and hoping for a battle. Nodding at Flaaffy who once again stepped forward to battle the first Pokemon she sent out was Hitmontop the Handstand Pokemon. "Hitmontop spins on its head at high speed, all the while delivering kicks. This technique is a remarkable mix of both offense and defense at the same time. This Pokemon travels faster spinning than it does walking." That made sense as the short Pokemon moved back and forth watching for Flaaffy's first strike. Of course the first thing Flaaffy did was charge up to boost the next electric attack. Flipping itself over Hitmontop spun in circles before hurling itself at Flaaffy kicking Simon's Pokemon back. Shaking the strike off Flaaffy's tail glowed yellow as he unleashed the boosted thunderbolt. Hitmontop tried to avoid it but since it was already charged the attack was more powerful shocking and knocking out Hitmontop.

Nodding Hannah returned Hitmontop complimenting Simon on the use of charge to boost up the electric attack. Simon thanked her as she sent out her next Pokemon, "Pangoro the daunting Pokemon. Although it posses a violent temperament, it won't put up with bullying. It uses the leaf in its mouth to sense the movements of its enemies.""That's a awesome Pokemon, I could see it with the police department or something." Hannah giggled and nodded before clearing her throat and getting serious. Instead of charging up Flaaffy kept an eye on Pangoro as it rushed him. Jumping into the air Flaaffy's tail turned steel as he summersaulted and smashed the iron tail into Pangoro's head. Shaking it off Pangoro reached out and caught Flaaffy's tail pulling him into his arms and jumping forward onto his stomach smooshing Flaaffy with a body slam. Pulling free Flaaffy shook the Pidgey flying around his head away before using another iron tail to knock Pangoro back.

Hannah's final Pokemon, since they decided on three on three, was Malamar and although it looked like a water type it wasn't. Returning Flaaffy so he could rest for a bit Simon sent out Stunky instead. The poison Pokemon stomped her front paws getting ready for the dark Pokemon's first attack while Simon checked its Pokedex data. "Malamar the overturning Pokemon. It wields the most compelling hypnotic powers of any Pokemon, and it forces others to do whatever it wants." Since she was at a higher level Stunky lifted her tail firing off a poison gas attack from the glands in her tail. It looked a bit odd like it was coming from somewhere else but that was unladylike and Stunky wouldn't have any of that. Malamar reached out to play with Stunky but did it in a hard way that caused her pain. However he did take damage from being poisoned. With that in the way Stunky slashed at him with her claws. Hannah called over Malamar to heal him up with an antidote. That however left his back wide open for another slash that took it down.

After Hannah thanked Simon for the battle and went back towards the entrance Simon continued back to the larger area with the mine carts. Mike wasn't around but there was another man named Jeff. Since Mike was still gone that meant that Ryan couldn't continue mining just yet since they needed to mine in pairs for safety. To pass the time Jeff asked for a battle of which Simon agreed. Returning Stunky Simon instead sent out Greninja who was ready to exercise by battling. Jeff's first Pokemon was a rock one, the revived fossil Tyrantrum. "Tyrantrum the despot Pokemon. Thanks to its gargantuan jaws, which could shred thick metal plates as if they were paper, it was invincible in the ancient world it once inhabited." Tyrantrum started off with a roar as he stomped the ground creating an earthquake. Greninja jumped from foot to foot trying to avoid the damage before firing off a blast of super heated water. The water was so hot that it actually burned the mighty beast. Powering up his tail Tyrantrum swung it striking Greninja and causing him to slide back across the ground. Focusing his power on the mystic water Greninja fired off a hydro pump that sent the dinosaur crashing into the ground.

Jeff's next Pokemon was a real change, it was still a rock Pokemon but quite a difference compared to Tyrantrum. "Shuckle the mold Pokemon. Shuckle quietly hides itself under rocks, keeping its body concealed inside its hard shell while eating berries it has stored away. The berries mix with its body fluids to become a juice." From a towering Pokemon to this much smaller one. Ducking into the shell it jumped into the air slamming down. The outer shell was gone but Shuckle had a new one now. The move decreased defense since the newer shell was weaker however this increased its speed and both attacks. Greninja fired off another hydro pump as Shuckle slammed against the ground hurling boulders at Greninja. Dodging one, then another, the next boulder struck him. Falling back he fired off another hydro pump to prevent the rock from striking him. Jumping to avoid another splash of gastro acid Greninja used his psychic move to catch Shuckle preventing another Rock Throw attack and hurling it into the cave wall. Into one wall then the other before dropping it down and crouching low, Shuckle had been knocked out.

Shaking through it Greninja paused before lifting up his hands causing a rushing wave of water to sweep across and defeat the rock Pokemon.

After the battle was over Simon healed up his party then thanked Jeff for the battle. The other trainer hurried towards the exit, meeting Mike on his way in. Instead of leaving they departed down a different tunnel, Mike stating that he would hand over some revives to heal up Jeff's team. Just outside of the entrance there was another trainer who looked nervous. "Are you okay?"Simon asked as she nodded. "Yeah just worried about what Pokemon I will find in there.""Do you want to battle with me first?" She nodded and after telling each other their names, him Simon and her Ashley, they started up the battle. Simon started out with Stunky while she sent out, "Exeggutor the coconut Pokemon. Exeggutor originally came from the tropics. Its heads steadily grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight. It is said that when the heads fall off, they group together to form Exeggcute." Something was different though, "Is your Pokemon shiny?" Ashley smiled and nodded. "Cool," Simon said as Stunky lashed out at the Pokemon. A few flashes of razor leafs along with slashes Stunky won the round.

Nodding Ashley returned her Pokemon sending out yet another shiny Pokemon this one was "Sunflora the sun Pokemon. Sunflora converts solar energy into nutrition. It moves around actively in the daytime when it is warm. It stops moving as soon as the sun goes down for the night.""Are all your Pokemon shiny?""Yeah I've caught some in the wild as well as located those crystal shard things that can give them a shiny coat." Simon returned Stunky and sent out Dusknoir, his own naturally shiny Pokemon. "Wow you have some too!" Ashley said excited. "Yeah, Dusknoir is naturally shiny, my starter was turned shiny but one of those shards." Sharing these things was one thing but it was still a battle and a Shadow Punch followed by a blizzard knocked Sunflora out.

"You might think that my starter is a Venusaur," said Ashley as she returned her Pokemon and Simon shrugged but nodded. Instead she sent out a shiny, "Charizard the flame Pokemon. When expelling a blast of superhot fire, the red flame at the tip of its tail burns more intensely." Since it was shiny instead of the normal red skin there was a darkened black. The inside of the wings were a deep, dark red and over all looked pretty awesome. "Out of all the starters final forms I thought Charizard was the prettiest," Ashley said as Simon nodded, "Are you more into the contest scene?" She giggled, "You'd think that but no, I love battling but I'm here to locate a Mawile. Shiny would be good but I have another crystal shard along with a her Mega Stone. Mega Mawile looks beautiful to me." Nodding Simon was going to have Dusknoir refrain from blizzard since it would be weak against Charizard but instead he let him. It made the battle longer until Dusknoir was able to freeze him. Once it was frozen he unleashed a powerful hex, this move powered up by status afflictions so after the hit Dusknoir won. Thanking Simon for the battle Ashley returned Charizard and send out her shiny Yanmega to take them to the closest Pokecenter. Simon returned Dusknoir and sent out Noivern to head over to Azure Bay to see if he could locate a Lapras for his team.

Elizabeth had finally made it to the Glittering Cave before walking into the entrance of the cave. She was surprised when she came in and saw that there were crystals and green moss glowing, illuminating the cave a bit. But it was still too dark for her liking, wondering if she has anything that could give her more light. That's when she realized that she did have something, going through her bag and taking it out. It was a blue paper lantern that she's had for a long time but never used before. So Elizabeth then lit up the lantern as it quickly illuminated the path before her, relieved about that. She started walking inside the cave, looking around as she was going when all of a sudden she heard a scream from literally right behind her. "Aaah!!" she screamed in shock, terrified as she had jumped from that. Then she turned around, only to see that it was a Misdreavus who was laughing at her, wanting to battle now. Great, she just had to encounter a Ghost pokemon here in this cave. "Yarrow, let's go!" Elizabeth had said as she let out Yarrow, the Jolteon appearing and seeing the Misdreavus. "Use Thundershock!" she called out as he nodded, releasing a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body at the opponent. It had dealt some damage before the Misdreavus then used Psywave, their body outlined in light blue and firing light blue shock waves at Yarrow. Luckily it hardly did any damage as she called out for Yarrow to use Thundershock again. So the Jolteon repeated what they did before, releasing the cyclone of yellow electricity at the opponent again. That's it, just one more attack will finish this battle! But then this time the Misdreavus decided to disappear suddenly, wondering where they went and if they were running away. Instead the Misdreavus suddenly came out of nowhere, making a chilling face at Yarrow. Unfortunately it frightened him so much that he jumped, hitting one of the crystals and being dealt some damage as a result. Elizabeth was upset at that, but at least Yarrow can still keep going. "Yarrow, use Thundershock again and beat them!" she called out as the Jolteon nodded back in agreement. So he once again released a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body at the opponent, dealing some damage. Luckily it was enough as the Misdreavus couldn't fight anymore, running off and having won that battle.

Elizabeth was so glad that the battle was over and is completely done with now. Hopefully she won't have to encounter another one of those Ghost pokemon ever again. But just in case, she decided to keep Yarrow out, the Jolteon following as she started walking again. Then eventually she could see the body and gas around the face, finding that it was a Ghastly who was laughing at her and wanting to battle. Man, not another Ghost type pokemon too?! Then he released a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body at his opponent, dealing some damage. But the Ghastly soon opened its mouth, extending their tongue to a great length before slapping the Jolteon with it. Yarrow was surprised, shivering from being hit by the tongue and didn't like it at all. "Shake it off! Use Thundershock!" Elizabeth called out again before the Jolteon repeated sending the cyclone of yellow electricity at the opponent. That had dealt some damage, needing one more attack to end this battle like the last one. But the Ghastly again decided to slap Jolteon again with their long tongue, Jolteon all beaten up as he was barely able to move. "Yarrow! You can do this, just one more attack! Use Thundershock and beat them!" she had called out once again, knowing that this would do it. So the Jolteon nodded back, getting up and then releasing a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body straight at the Ghastly once again. That had been enough to do it though, the Ghastly too weak to fight anymore as they ran off. Wow, that was extremely close, Yarrow having almost been defeated by that Ghastly.

Elizabeth was looking down at Yarrow, seeing that they were exhausted and almost down to nothing. "Don't worry, this will help." she said to him, getting a Super Potion out of her bag. Then she crouched down and gently sprayed the potion onto Yarrow, restoring their health by 100. The Jolteon could feel it kicking in, now feeling a lot better than he was just a few moments ago. She sighed, glad that Yarrow is alright for now, wondering why Ghost pokemon keep appearing. Elizabeth decided to keep on going, walking as Yarrow was following alongside her too. After a while, she happened to look back in case any more Ghost pokemon tried to sneak up behind her only to find a glowing red orb coming straight toward hers. So Elizabeth quickly ran away with Yarrow following, running through the cave trying to lose that thing. But it kept chasing after her, unable to lose it before she found herself at a dead end. Oh no, that thing is going to catch her! She shivered, scared as the orb came closer and closer, only to realize that it was a Duskull. That's a relief, it was only a pokemon, but still! Why on earth does she keep attracting all the Ghost pokemon in this cave to her?! "Yarrow, use Thundershock!" she called out, the Jolteon nodding before releasing a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body at the opponent. It had dealt some damage before the Duskull used Night Shade, glowing and then firing at black beam at Yarrow. Luckily it didn't do a lot of damage really and felt that this would be easier than the last battle. "Yarrow, use Thundershock again!" she said as the Jolteon nodded, again repeating the same attack and dealing the damage to the other pokemon. Now the Duskull had used Night Shade a second time, firing the black beam which didn't do that much damage like the first one. "One last time! Yarrow, use Thundershock again to beat them!" she had called out, the Jolteon instantly releasing a cyclone of yellow electricity from his body straight at the opponent. That had been enough to finish it as the Duskull was too weak to fight anymore, running away. Elizabeth sighed, very glad that the battle was over and this time, Yarrow didn't get as hurt from it.

Elizabeth was thinking that this would be a good time to head back to Ambrette Town again, knowing that Yarrow needs to be healed up. He had fought so much against all those Ghost pokemon and felt like he needed a break. So she returned him back into his pokeball as she started walking again. But then suddenly the light in her Paper Lantern went out and it ended up breaking, very surprised and confused. Why did it just suddenly break like that? Now she will have a little less light to get through this cave, hoping that she doesn't run into any more Ghost pokemon. So Elizabeth was slowly making her way through the cave, trying to find the entrance where she had come from. While she was walking, she was glancing at the crystals and glowing moss along the walls, thinking that they would be pretty if it weren't for the fact that they also looked a bit creepy in this dark cave too.

Elizabeth had been walking around in the cave for a while, trying to find her way back to the entrance. It didn't help that she had been chased by that Duskull, having lost track of where she was in such a large place. Eventually she managed to finally see the light of the entrance, relieved as she started running towards it. But before she could reach it, a Machop then got in her way and wanted to battle. While annoyed, at least it wasn't another Ghost type again, thinking of the perfect pokemon that she could use. "Your time to shine Dahlia!" she said as she had released the Gothita from her pokeball. This would be the first time that she is having her battle, and in a pretty risky battle too with the difference in levels. But Dahlia is Psychic who is extremely strong against the Machop's Fighting type and could handle any attack they dish out. She watched as the Machop suddenly used Low Kick, delivering a powerful low kick that made Dahlia fall over. But because she was so small and lightweight along with the typing, it had hardly hurt at all. "Dahlia, use Confusion!" she called out as the Gothita had gotten back up. Then her eyes were glowing pale red, body outlined in pale red before the Machop's body started glowing pale red too. Dahlia was now controlling the opponent with her mind, making them hit the wall a couple of times before stopping, a lot of damage having been dealt. But the Machop stood back up before it used Seismic Toss, going over and grabbing Dahlia, spinning around a bit in a circle before letting go. She was sent flying, hitting the wall but due to her weak level, didn't take that much damage from it. "Dahlia, use Confusion again!" Elizabeth had called out, knowing that this was it. The Gothita nodded, eyes glowing pale red and body outlined in pale red before the opponent glowed pale red too. Dahlia controlled the opponent, really slamming the Machop into the wall several times before finally stopping. That had been more than enough to do it as the Machop was too weak to fight anymore, running away. Elizabeth cheered, so glad that Dahlia had won that battle but now they really needed to get back to Ambrette Town. So she returned Dahlia back to her pokeball before running towards the entrance and exiting out of the Glittering Cave.
