Like there was a thin layer of plastic wrap around his thoughts, the unclear smoggy colored kind that obscured the vision. Maybe a better metaphor was wax paper; that stuff you couldn’t really see through. And that was sometimes the effect she got when she tried to dive deep into the Aussie’s mind. Things were… fuzzy. Ambrette Town was a beach town, and a pretty one at that. Huey made certain to breathe in deeply, taking in the salt water scent on the wind, before he hopped down and felt his feet sink in, slightly, into the sand. It was a really pretty day out, with only a few clouds drifting lazily through the air, and the sort of weather that would be perfect for the beach.
