Geosenge Town was practically a ghost town. Mostly, it was composed of an odd collection of rocks in different shapes and sizes, which were said to hold mysterious power. While Scarlett was interested in the idea of power, at a glance, the rocks themselves didn't seem to be different from ordinary ones, and Scarlett didn't really have the equipment to investigate further. Sending Dotty and Vandal out, Scarlett had a proposition. "Why daen't I go egg huntin' this time? You two train here in the meantime." Scarlett suggested. "Alright boss." Vandal nodded, gesturing for Dotty to follow him as he set off to go find some pokemon or trainer to fight.

While Scarlett egg hunted, Vandal and Dotty had little success finding anyone or anything to battle. It was almost eerie how lifeless the area was. "Now I know why she wanted to egg hunt...." Vandal grumbled. It sure sounded more appealing than this. "Oh? Well lookie here Dot." Vandal grinned as he spotted an egg. Maybe they were lucky after all. With her egg, Scarlett would want to move on, and maybe they could find a more lively area to train in. "Out of the darkness.... I EMERGE!" A young kid suddenly jumped out from between a few rocks, and the speedy little devil ran forward to swipe the egg Vandal had spotted. "Wha-- HEY! That's ours kid, we saw it first!" Vandal growled. "Oho! So you wish to challenge me for it? Very well. Let us determine this in combat!" He drew out a wooden sword, swinging it around. "Go Koffing! Sneak attack!" Vandal gave the kid a pitying look. "Uh... Kid, that's not an atta--" The gaseus pokemon emerged suddenly from behind Dotty, surprising her so much that she squeaked and released a blast of psychic energy that instantly knocked the poison type out.

Vandal suggested, ignoring the alarmed exclamation points over her head. "Calm down, you've totally got this handled." Vandal reassured her. "You may have bested my koffing, but can you handle... My hidden viper technique?!?!" An ekans sprang out of nowhere, much like it's counterpart, and Dotty flinched, attacking the snake with the full force of her psyshock as well to knock it out cold. "Heh... See? No sweat." Vandal grinned lazily. "Your reflexes are remarkable... Perhaps I must try a different approach..." The ninja boy mused thoughtfully.

After vanquishing a formidable looking beedrill and it followed the same fate as the rest of the team, the ninja boy only had a spinarak remaining, probably just recently caught, it was so puny that Dotty almost felt bad attacking it. She just gave it a tiny psychic nudge to send it skittering back to it's trainer. "Well, that's how it goes. You fought with honor, here, this is rightfully yours. I will find another! ....After I heal my pokemon." Suddenly he threw a smoke bomb onto the ground, and Vandal coughed, waving the smoke away and pulling Dotty with him. Scarlett came jogging over, looking mildly concerned. "Is everythin' okay? I heard shouting and saw the smoke." Vandal nodded and coughed again just to make sure all of the smoke was out of his lungs. "Yeah, w-we're fine. Just had a run in battle with some kid who looked like a ninja. Fought him off for this." Vandal revealed the egg in his palm and Scarlett relaxed. "Great, at least one of us found it." She suggested, pocketing the egg and returning her pokemon so she could call the ride charizard and get out of the area.

But it was probably best not to dig too much too often. Juliean was aware of her existence after all and the last thing she really wanted to do was get on his bad side. It was amazing what one could do when they didn’t have dead weight slowing them down. She would of course be taking a nice long rest once they’d completed this random egg hunt journey that Juliean had sent Lafayette on. Really, the man should’ve been training and getting his pokemon ready for the next few gyms. It was only a matter of time before they out leveled the Aussie’s control and stopped responding. Humans needed badges apparently to show their worth for a pokemon to listen to them. Which made very little sense since it was the pokemon who did the fighting in the first place and earned said badges. She’d personally never understood the concept, and that was after going through and witnessing several different battles while under the care of Lafayette. There was nothing about those oddly shaped pieces of metal that made her feel compelled to listen to him. Nor did she feel it had any effect on the others as well.
