After treating Cadenza's wounds, and confirming that he still wanted to battle, Heather sent her partner out to combat the next foe that came there way, and while the two fought the young girl scurried back to her brother to scan said foe. Igglybluff, it certainly was a cutie! She just couldn't resist capturing it, and even as she threw a pokeball, once the small one was defeated, she kept in her mind the deal she'd struck with her brother: that they were only capturing three pokemon to trade. This was fine! She was content with meeting her quota already!

Wanting to give everyone a fair chance at battle, Heather waved Cadenza back and allowed Legato to take his place after he'd finished up his battle. Even as her eyes grew wide in cute overload, at the sight of the next batch of fairies their incense had lured in. Admittedly, she'd confused them for grass types first, what with their flower bodies, but a quick scan of the Pokedex revealed that they were, in fact, fairy types. Comfey, they were called, and they hailed from Alola. Just like Legato! So, in a way, this was fitting.

Just like before, Legato seemed to have no trouble at all holding his own against the various pokemon in his way. He'd really taken a shining Hydro Cannon, the move he'd learned after digesting a Big Mushroom, and while it wasn't necessarily 'elegant', it was powerful and got the job done. So that was nice.

While Legato had his 'fun' -- if it could be called that -- Heather busied herself, not by playing with Cadenza again, but playing with the ends of her brother's hair. Though to do this, she had the male squat a bit so as to lower his height. She twisted the ends gently, adding small braids to Lysander's red mop of hair, but every so often she'd pause in her hair styling to cheer Legato on and applaud his efforts. After all, she was his trainer!

Lysander as well offered attention and focus onto Legato, with the occasional distraction as his sister pulled his hair too tight. Honestly, she had the attention span of a Goldeen, he couldn't understand why she couldn't just sit still. Or why she had to derive entertainment from doing... all sorts of things to his hair. He couldn't exactly see what it was she doing, or how she was 'styling' his hair. Hopefully it wasn't anything too terrible, or irreversible.

As much as he loved his sister, eventually Lysander had enough of her hair braiding and shooed the girl away, gently swatting her hand away with his own before he combed his finger through his hair to assess the damage. He winced as his thumb got caught in a mini braid, causing him to tug on the strand, and he shot Heather a glare before he began working on untangling his hair and returning it to normal. In the meantime, Heather busied herself by turning her full attention onto Legato, who was still going strong.

Heather, now no longer permitted to play with her brother's hair, heaved a sigh and rolled her shoulders back and then forth, trying to relieve them of the tension built up in them. The incense was still going strong, with a considerate amount having passed since it'd first been lit. Which was great, this was an amazing training opportunity for their pokemon, she was aware of this, but at the same time... it really was boring just standing around. Neither hers or Lysander's pokemon needed commanding, as they battled as they saw fit, so all they could really do was just stand there and watch. Lysander didn't seem to mind this, but she on the other hand....
She was still mentally lamenting over her first-world problem when a splash of color caught Heather's eye, and she looked up in interest and then surprise. The incense had attracted another pokemon, but this one was alone and a... shiny, a light blue Togepi now waddled determinedly towards them. It took only seconds for her to realize that she wanted the pokemon, for herself, and quietly she withdraw a pokeball and enlarged it. Of course, she wasn't the only one who'd noticed the new arrival and Legato, still going strong, perked up at the sight; while his trainer might've seen a potential new partner, all he saw was another target. Heather realized this, as he opened his mouth.
"Legato, wait--!" The call came far too late and a torrent of high-pressured water swept the shiny off its feet and sent them careening across the wet grass. "--Go... easy... on.. that one.." The last of her sentence was uttered in a mumble, and soon Heather was taking off, worriedly running to the Togepi's side to check on it. While unconscious, and soaked to the bone, the pokemon didn't seem to be sporting any serious injuries. Of course, that was hard to truly tell considering the only sign of life it gave was the occasional, twitching limb. Heather pursed her lips together before gently tapping the pokeball to the side of the Togepi's head, deciding to spare it with a gentle capture. Unsurprisingly, there wasn't much of a fight and the capsule grew still after shaking only twice.
Well then.... at least she had a new pokemon!

Lysander quirked an eyebrow in Heather's direction as she skipped back over, a bit flustered but still holding a smile. "I thought we agreed we'd only catch three pokemon?" he reminded her, with an indication towards the pokeball she held. "Oh, we did! I'm not going to trade this one though, I'm going to keep them for myself!" she informed, smile overtaking her expression. Lysander was quiet a moment, digesting this information, but eventually he smirked and reached out to ruffle his sister's hair, much to her amused chagrin, "congratulations then. You caught your first pokemon." Heather's brow furrowed for a millisecond before she perked up, "oh! You're right!" she laughed. "I hadn't even realized that. But, I guess I have!"
Unable to immediately make for the Pokémon Center, both Heather and Lysander waited patiently -- semi-patiently, for the former -- for the incense to burn out, and in that time gave their pokemon a chance to train further. Eventually, however, the amount of pokemon began to dwindle until it they stopped altogether. Lysander checked the incense, and while there was still the lingering scent of sweets, it had most definitely burned out. "Alright then." He spoke aloud, stretching himself with a groan "Guess that does it." Heather, who had spent the remainder of their time outside on the ground, hopped to her feet in excitement. "Finally! That means we can go, right?" Lysander playfully rolled his eyes, wanting his sister to know just how annoying her impatience had been, but eventually nodded. "Yeah. We might as well challenge the gym now," he suggested. "But, before that we oughta heal our pokemon. You go ahead, I'll meet you there." Lysander motioned for Heather to get moving, his own footsteps leading him over to Umbreon to pick her back up.
"Where are you headed?" Heather inquired, splitting her attention between her brother and returning her pokemon. "There's another store I want to check out," was all the explanation he gave, though he did pause long enough in his preparation to leave to hand over his pokemon's pokeballs. Lysander grunted softly as he picked Umbreon up, gently adjusting her in his arms, then circled around slowly to face his sister. "Pokémon Center. Ten minutes," he remarked and then headed off. Heather nodded, though she doubted Lysander had noticed it, and finished returning the pokemon, picked up the forgotten and now used incense, and began heading back in the direction of the Pokémon Center.
Unfortunately for her, she wasn't given the chance to go too far from her original spot when she was challenged to a battle by a young boy. She considered his challenge, keeping in mind that they were about to head off to face the gym, before accepting.

With the help of her brother's pokemon, Heather managed to make easy work of her impromptu challenger, and after thanking him for the battle she sped off to the Pokémon Center; determined to get there before someone else could challenge her. Once there, and while waiting for all their pokemon to be healed, Heather thought briefly on what to do next. Lysander had said he'd be about ten minutes, and only a few minutes had passed since then, so until he came back she had nothing else to do but to sit around and wait. Which wasn't something she was keen on. So once the pokemon returned Heather stepped back outside, intent on finding a way to entertain herself until Lysander came back, and she found that in another battle.

Thankfully the next opponent Heather found wasn't too far away from the Pokémon Center, and it allowed her to rush back in a timely manner. Goodness, status conditions were so bothersome! Thankfully, Nurse Joy was an expert at dealing with them, and by the time the pokemon were returned they were as good as new. Heather checked the time on her phone, gave a nod, and then looked towards the automatic doors thoughtfully. She could probably get in oooone last battle.

Heather heaved a sigh before pantomiming wiping her brow, a show that their last battle had been rather intense. Still, the teenager came out smiling and with pride she sauntered back to the Pokémon Center, only to be stopped halfway there by a returning Lysander. Heather stopped abruptly. "Oh, hey Lys!" she greeted him with exuberance, and gently pulled Cadenza down so that she could look up at him properly. "Hey..." he responded slowly, his eyes moving from Heather's to the pokemon behind her. "I see you've been busy." Rather than respond verbally, the younger sibling simply nodded happily before she marched purposefully into the Center, the other pokemon following after and leaving Lysander, hands full with both Umbreon and yet another bag of supplies, to stare at them.
By the time he had sighed, shifted Umbreon--who he'd recently renamed 'Jewel'-- and walked after his sister, Heather was already at the front counter having those, who needed it, healed. Since there wasn't much need for him to join here there, Lysander settled to sit down in a nearby lobby chair and begin pulling out the items he'd purchased, but was only able to get the (many) rare candies out before Heather skipped over to him; which, honestly, worked out best. "Perfect timing," he mused, and then began to unwrap a single piece of candy to feed to Bass. As usual, the frog stared over at the offered food for a good thirty seconds before, eventually, he snatched it and stuffed it into his mouth. "....Give a few out to Legato, Amp, and Diode," he instructed. "Who's Diode?" Lysander blinked before he snorted gently and shook his head. "Sorry. That's what I'm going to call Girafarig, I'll call her Di for short," he responded, working to address the pokemon at the same time to gauge her reaction. She didn't seem to mind, and instead seemed more than happy to have this nickname.
Heather grinned widely, but before her brother could comment on this she began to dole out candy as evenly as she could, while Lysander worked to feed Bass a few more and dig out the rest of his items.
