It was a surprise to see trainers with all sorts of different Pokemon, actually it was a breath of fresh air. It was interesting to see all of the types that trainers had and for Simon to guess which of their team members were their starter Pokemon. Most trainers went to a professor but it wasn't necessary sometimes parents gave their children Pokemon. Also their starter could be put away of course. These plagued his mind as a teen arrived on a Mega Evolved Blastoise. He wanted to battle and Simon agreed, the kid, Joshua said he couldn't use Blastoise as it was his brother's a wouldn't obey him in battle. Simon said he understood and the battle began. The first Pokemon was "Crustle the stone home Pokemon. Competing for territory, Crustle fight viciously. The one whose boulder is broken is the loser of the battle."

Landing on one of the many smaller islands in the bay Noivern made sure that they landed on one that had fallen trees. Returning Noivern he sent out Greninja to watch as he built a raft out of logs. Once it was done he climbed on and pushed off having Greninja used surf to help him get out further on the water. There were other trainers around, swimming and sun bathing on their Pokemon or on the beaches. There even was a pair of kids with Pokeballs on armbands making sand castles in the sand on one island while their mom sun bathed. Simon would try to catch a Lapras naturally for a bit then use one of the Black Flutes he still had. Greninja drew to a stop having sensed a flock of wild Wingull diving down to attack, it was a horde of them so Simon sent out Flaaffy. He knew that Flaaffy didn't have any multi-hit attacks however the electric moves would be super effective against the bird Pokemon.

Even though Flaaffy was a higher level and had the type advantage he was almost defeated by the sheer number of Wingull that attacked. Almost getting knocked out Flaaffy managed to hold on and zap the birds one at a time. Once it was over and he leveled up Simon quickly healed his friend up. Ten more levels and he would evolve into his final form and since the Pokemon around here were water type for the most part having him out made the most sense. Looking out across the water he wondered if he should just use a black flute to summon a Lapras. Before he could though a swimmer came over to him. "Hey I'm tired of doing laps, are you up for a battle?" Thinking on it Simon nodded, "Yeah let's do this, I'm Simon." The swimmer sent out Blastoise which he climbed on. "I'm Saul but I wont be using Blastoise I need her to surf me home.""That's okay, Greninja is my ride here so I wont be using him either." Saul's first Pokemon was, "Pancham the playful Pokemon. It does its best to be taken seriously by its enemies, but its glare is not sufficiently intimidating. Chewing on a leaf is its trademark." Flaaffy was ready to go.
