If you roll a single battle pokemon encounter, then refer to the single battle pokemon level chart to roll again and determine the level of the pokemon you encounter. If you rolled a Horde battle, five pokemon of the pokemon horde you rolled will appear. Please refer to the Horde Battle pokemon level chart to roll again and determine the level of each of the five pokemon in that Horde.
Once they got further across the bay Simon called to Greninja to stop. Seeing other trainers swimming with their Pokemon he even saw some one the series of islands around. One in an inner tube came over and asked if he wanted to battle. Simon declined saying he might catch some Pokemon but otherwise they were just going to relax. For some reason there were a bunch of eggs floating in the water popping up onto the raft once they got close. Simon, Greninja, even Pidgey looked at each other confused. Chatot made sense, flying over from one of the islands. One of the water Pokemon could attack from the water but a grass Pokemon made no sense at all. Since he already had one though he let the two Pokemon out defeat the grass Pokemon.

The next Pokemon that arrived was another bird and it made sense of course. It was Pelipper's first form. "Wingull the seagull Pokemon. Even though he had Pelipper she was caught as the evolved form and he didn't have a desire to catch the younger one. As the Wingull fell to the water it was wooshed away before hitting the water. Laying back down Simon sighed actually relaxing. Up in the air Noivern was stretching his wings flying around. Next to him Greninja was also stretched out and Pidgey was sleeping next to his head. Suddenly there was a lot of splashing sounds, surrounding the entire raft. Sitting up as Pidgey flew up to his head to stay safe they all watched as several pink Pokemon came out of the water. "Slowpoke the dopey Pokemon. Slowpoke uses its tail to catch prey by dipping it in water at the side of a river. However, this Pokemon often forgets what it's doing and often spends entire days just loading at water's edge.""Keep one so I can catch one," Simon said as Greninja nodded. "Sllllooo."

The next Pokemon that appeared still made sense, a wild Inkay appeared from under the surface of the water. Already having one Simon might have caught the dark water Pokemon instead he would train up Shedinja since this Pokemon wasn't a bird Pokemon and there wasn't that much of a risk of flying attack taking it out.

Once the battle was completed and Shedinja sent away Simon laid back on the raft with one arm over her eyes. Pidgey flew into the air under the guidance of Noivern to learn how to fly better. There was a bit of rocking and Simon looked up to see a pair of trainers battling it out. One trainer had a "Dewgong the sea lion Pokemon. Its body is covered with a pure white fur. The colder the weather, the more active it becomes." The other was commanding a"Cloyster the bivalve Pokemon. Cloyster is capable of swimming in the sea. It does so by swallowing water, then jetting it out toward the rear. This Pokemon shoots spikes from its shell using the same system." Greninja sat up as his sensitive ears heard several Pokemon surrounding the raft, Pidgey returned to Simon's shoulder as yet another Slowpoke horde appeared, maybe not even realizing that Simon had already beaten a horde and caught one. Oh well, Greninja would handle these things.

Sitting up Simon picked up a piece of wood he had set aside and started to row towards an empty island. Greninja rose looking to see if Simon wanted him to take over but Simon just shook his head saying he got it. Relaxing back down while Simon got the raft onto the island Greninja watched as Simon climbed onto the shore and plopped down enjoying the sand under his hands. Kicking off his shoes and socks he then dug his toes into the warm sand. The enjoyment was soon overshadowed, literally by the shadow of another Wingull. Sitting up Simon nodded at Greninja who rose and got ready for battle.

Next time Simon would call upon Noivern for any more individual battles since part of the experience gained went nowhere since Greninja was already at the max level. Any new moves wouldn't be learned but only taught, but that was okay because Greninja's moveset was perfect now. Since no damage was done Simon just hugged his starter when several Wingull attacked.

After the battle was complete Pidgey flew down and started to glow white. Pidgey suddenly grew a bit larger as she evolved into "Pidgeotto the bird Pokemon. Pidgeotto claims a large area as its own territory. This Pokemon flies around, patrolling its living space. If its territory is violated, it shows no mercy in thoroughly punishing the foe with its sharp claws." Running his fingers down her back Simon congratulated her for evolving, and that maybe she could try battling these pesky Wingull alone now. Pidgeotto cooed happily.

Tentacruel has tentacles that can be freely elongated and shortened at will. It ensnares prey with its tentacles and weakens the prey by dosing it with a harsh toxin. It can catch up to 80 prey at the same time." "Status effects can defeat it as well,"Simon said which made her smile and nod as she continued. Eventually Simon would switch out Shedinja for Pidgeotto so she could get levels too but for now this would be good.
