He leaped to his feet, froze-- and then suddenly combusted into a flurry of snow when Rummy bounded over. He reformed, tumbling backwards, then scrambling to his feet, ears back as he narrowed his eyes uncertainly at the grass eeveelution. "They're headphones," he replied after a moment, moving to step forward, pawing the headphones, which had fallen off in his dematerialization, back towards him. Mimey, who was still focusing more on what Sebastian was saying, distractedly helped him put them back on. "My trainer gave them to me," he started, pausing a moment as his ears lifted. He shook his head and continued, pawing at them again as he did. "They let me listen to music stuff." He tilted his head curiously. "Do you like music?"
Mimey folded her little arms over her chest as she listened to Sebastian, after helping Koda, again, with his headphones. 'You found one on moves?' she asked, dropping her arms and perking up with interest. That sounded useful! She blinked, though, when he mentioned finding Jay, and nodded. Rummy was startled a bit when Koda suddenly burst into a cloud of frost, wide brown eyes staring into the previously occupied space before his attention snapping up as the Flurry reformed. "Whoooooaaaaaa…" Was his response to the whole event, tail whipping back and forth even faster as he continued staring on in amazement.
"How did you do that?! It’s like magic! Are you magic? That’s amazing!" He chirped excitedly. When Koda described what the strange device was, the leaf pokemon tilted his head to the side slightly. "Headphones? A phone for your head? I didn’t know phones could go on your head. Or play music!" What an amazing discovery! That explained sometimes what he’d seen on television, though he’d never really questioned the strange head contraptions until now. At the mention of music he paused to think, head finally bobbing in acknowledgement. "Sure! I’ve heard music before! Some of it’s really nice! You like music? What do you like?" He inquired, jumping up and proceeding to follow after the rest of them as they moved outside, keeping his attention towards Koda as they left.
Sebastian gave a nod as they stepped outside. "Yup, I think so anyways. It mentioned moves having different effects when it comes to contests… seemed like something to consider." He remarked as they stepped outside. He glanced around but didn’t spot anything either, proceeding to walk after Mimey and keeping an eye out. They hadn’t gotten to terribly far, right?
"Hm?" Sebastian focused on the Mime Jr. as she asked her question. He shifted looking thoughtful for a moment before giving a slight smile. "Sure I am. It seems really interesting and it seems like a nice change of pace from just battling." Not that he had a problem with battling but it was nice to have alternatives. Plus, he was still supposed to be out and about learning all he could about pokemon. And well if contests were part of the pokemon world then that was something he needed to learn about. "I’m sure it’ll be fun if anything."

Koda blinked. "Do what?" he replied, clearly completely unaware of the oddness of his little snow-combustion. It was pretty normal for him, after all. Heck, it was normal for flurries, it was normal for his species-- it was just normal, as far as he knew. He didn't realize it was a little... startling if you weren't expecting it. Tipping his head curiously to the side, Koda inspected Rummy, as if that might help him decipher what he was referring to. It didn't, though, and he gave a shake of his head, as he continued. "I don't really know much about phones," he replied. Most of his life was out in the snow, in the mountains, not very near people. He had snuck into civilization, curiously spying on people and drifting through with the snow, but it wasn't enough for him to really understand what Rummy was talking about. "I dunno! I'm still figure it out. Do you know what kind of music you like?" he asked in return, turning to walk along with Rummy and his trainer, putting care into each step. Normally when he moved, he became the flurry of snow his species was named after; but he felt strong enough to stay solid, and he... didn't want to keep losing his headphones.
Mimey nodded thoughtfully as she listened to Sebastian, then perked up when she spotted Jay. "There he is!" she exclaimed, hurrying forward. The flurry blinked and quirked his head curiously at Rummy's observation. "Huh? Well, all the members of my species can do that... Or at least, all the first stagers can," he replied. He hadn't really seen a lot of his kind, let alone those of his evolved state, but he was pretty positive that others that were like him could do the same thing he could. He continued listening to Rummy, his ears up and forward, watching the energetic pokemon as the walked. He talked... a lot. It was like listening to the music, but without the music, and the beat, and the rhythm or the rhyme. It was just... a constantly flow of words, and noise. "Hmmm..." he hummed, in simply reply to the grass pokemon's chiming over 'phones'.
His tail twitched and swayed curiously as Rummy explained the music he liked-- or at least tried to. "Maybe we can listen to some stuff once we find Jay and he can play more music again," he offered rather simply. While Mimey had tried to keep up with Rummy, it seemed Koda took the simpler route of letting the leafeon run at his own pace while maintaining his own. Speaking of his trainer, though, they seemed to have found him, and he looked up, giving a greeting to the man who turned his head in a slight nod towards his direction. Jay shifted his focus back to Sebastian, though, shoving one hand into his pocket while the other held his pokeball.

"Ooooohhh really? Wow! That’s amazing! I wish I could do something like that!" Rummy remarked, a thoughtful look crossing his face. What could he do as a Leafeon? He was beginning to wonder; it’d have to be something he’d have to consider more while learning to do contests. There were probably a bunch of things and he just didn’t know it! Maybe Sebastian did?
"Oh, you think so? That would be great! Does he have a lot of it? I hope it’s got a good beat!" Maybe a lot of that country western television music? Jay did look like a cowboy. That was what they listened too right? That was okay if he did; Rummy liked practically everything. If there was something he didn’t like well, he certainly hadn’t found it yet. He was grateful for the experience. Everyone was so nice! What was wrong with Dues?
Sebastian gave Jay a curious look as he described catching a pokemon by accident. "Oh uhm… really?" He replied, trying to keep the hint of surprise out of his voice. Accidentally catching pokemon… that was certainly quite the thing to have happen. It was probably the fact the other man seemed so darn nonchalant about the fact that surprised him though. With a shake of his head, he straightened up and gave a nod. "Right, Hoenn." At the mention of heading to Lumoise he considered, giving another nod and turning to shove the books away. "Sounds like a good idea to me. The train is probably our best bet if we’re hoping regions."
Sebastian quirked an eyebrow. Well, if there was anything he’d be good at by the end of this journey, it would be map reading. He gave a small, sympathetic smile. "Give me one moment…," He remarked. Once his hands were free he pulled out his pokegear, browsing through to the map and looking it over for a moment, a smile crossing his face. "Looks like we’re in luck. There’s a route leading from here to North Lumiose apparently. We can start heading out now, unless you needed to do anything else."

Koda tilted his head to the side as he listened to Rummy. "You can't? There's nothing like that that your species does?" he queried curiously. He didn't know a lot about grass types, abomasnow and it's pre-evolution were the main ones he'd encountered, but he always figured all pokemon species had stuff like that that they could do. Or maybe Rummy just wasn't all that aware of what he was capable of... he didn't seem all too observant, after all. At least he was nice, though. That was better than he could say about some of Jay's other pokemon... "I dunno... I think he's gonna download more later, though," Koda replied absently, looking ahead to find his trainer. Once he did he perked up, tail writhing about with interest as he listened to the conversation.
Jay simply nodded to Sebastian's comment. Clearly, catching a new pokemon, on accident or not, just wasn't his primary focus. At least not right then. He might shift back to that matter once they got moving, so that he could at least figure out what he'd caught, but for now he listened in to Sebastian's responses, giving a nod as he agreed. He lifted his head once he seemed to have located a route, giving a lackadaisical smile as he shoved both hands in his pockets. "Ain't that nice. Well, alright. Go ahead 'n lead thuh way, ah'll follow behind," he urged. "Didja happen ta find out what cities might have these contests 'n such, by the way?" he added, waiting until Sebastian started walking to follow. He turned his head; he couldn't hear him walking, really, even though Koda was physical, but he'd heard the flurry greet him. So long as he wasn't asking to be returned to his pokeball, he figured they might as well put the headphones to use, and he started up some of the music again, using the device his parents had sent him. He also went to putting everything else they'd sent in his bag, some to be sorted out later.
Koda perked up as the music started playing through his headphones, giving a happy cry back to Jay, his eyes closing as his head swayed back and forth to the beat. He was careful while he walked, so that he wouldn't accidentally phase out, the music loud enough that even with them around his neck, he could easily hear the beat and the voice of the person singing. And the song definitely had a beat!

Don't give up when they are against a girl more powerful then they are. She bought a soda as she waited and popped the lid. When she did however a girl's voice came up behind her. "Miss? Are you the one who fought off those mean men?" Came the question. Turning, Naiya found a rather tall hooligan of a girl. Sighing, Naiya took a gulp of her drink. "What do you care?" Naiya took a deep breath as Xena and Fae looked at her. She was glad for them. They were very very important to her. And obviously she to them. With that over she noticed that her holocaster was buzzing. Opening it, she saw a message from Marx. They were about to start the party? Oh well, she had better get over there then right? The girl tapped her chin before starting the message. "Hey! I'm still coming don't worry. I may be a little late though. I'm heading that way now. Promise." She was going to say after trying the gym out, but was stopped as someone poked her shoulder and asked if she wanted to battle. Turning, Naiya found herself face to face with a trainer sporting a Regigigas next to him. Eyes wide, Naiya looked at her Holocaster, Sure enough the message had the Regi in it's face. "I'll call you in a minute Marx. Just. Give me a second." She said sending the message and grinning. "Dude! He's huge! Xena. Come on let's get this going!" She said excitedly.

Naiya figured she could challenge the gym now. Or try. Entering the gym, Naiya looked around. It was kinda nice in here. And that... Was a tree... She had to climb that?! Really? Ugh... She had to take her time too, she didn't want to fall and get hurt. Climbing was normally something she was good at, but her head still hurt from that awful trainer. Naiya smiled broadly as he complimented her, even if he did call her sprout. She giggled as she received his badge and a couple of things he decided she should have. She waved bye as she ran outside to heal he pokemon. Fae buzzed behind her as he followed. She ran inside. Knowing that gym had taken much longer than she had initially realized it would. She handed over her four pokemon, waiting slightly impatiently. She used the time to message Marx, before she was given her pokemon. She smiled a bit as she let Cynthia out. She looked at the HM Fly she was given. A little worried her Swanna would be able to hold all of her weight. The Swan pokemon rolled her eyes before taking the HM from her. Naiya's eyes went wide as Cynthia took to the air inside of the pokemon center and pushed her outside and pulled the girl into the air with her. As she made her way onto Cynthia's back, Serenity popped out of her ball and followed closely, not sure if the water type could handle it, but planning some revenge anyway.

Arriving in Coumarine City Simon returned Noivern thanking him. Before anything else Simon turned on the GTS and put up Gligar for trade. Not really sure why he made a note that maybe the person who gets this Pokemon will help him evolve Geodudette (his nicknamed female Graveler) into Golem. Heading into the Pokecenter he had Nurse Joy reenergize his team before heading back out. Walking through the tall grass just outside of the City a wild Mareep came out of the tall grass. "Mareep the wool Pokemon. Mareeps's fluffy coat of wool rubs together and builds a static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of its tall glows." Sending out Kirlia she got ready to take it on.
