The next Pokemon that came out for an appearance was, "Exeggutor the coconut Pokemon. Exeggutor originally came from the tropics. Its heads steadily grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight. It is said that when the heads fall off, they group together to form Exeggcute." Eventually Simon would get one of those as well but for now Pidgeotto was still here for a fight unleashing another super effective gust at the plant Pokemon.

The next Pokemon was one the trainer probably caught and trained up here in Kalos. Trained up over his starter though as "Clawitzer the howitzer Pokemon. Their enormous claws launch cannonballs of water powerful enough to pierce tanker hulls,"was the evolved form of Clauncher. Once again Pidgeotto flapped her wings whipping up winds that knocked the water Pokemon back. Getting back up he fired off a bubble attack that cracked around her. Shaking it off she launched another wind attack at him.

For the longest time Simon had seen more than his fair share of similar Pokemon. However for the last few battles he had been finding Pokemon that he hadn't seen before or at least hadn't remembered. For how many Pokemon he'd seen and battled against if he activated the feature that set everything up so that the entries were saved he might have seen all for specific regions. However he doesn't have that set up unless he caught the Pokemon. Since he didn't train up a Cubone or catch this Pokemon the Pokedex told him, "Marowak the bone keeper Pokemon. The bone it holds is its key weapon. It throws the bone skillfully like a boomerang to KO targets."

The final pairing in this battle was another bird Pokemon, "Swellow the swallow Pokemon. Swellow flies high above our heads, making graceful arcs in the sky. This Pokemon dives at a steep angle as soon as it spots its prey. The hapless prey is tightly grasped by its clawed feet, preventing escape." Bird verses bird both were ready and rushed to attack in the sky.

Another day another battle, deciding to return to the city Simon got a bed in the Pokecenter and had gone to sleep. Resting himself and his team up Simon felt ready to face the day. Checking his Pokenav he discovered it was one of those silly holidays, Talk like a Pirate day. Smiling but shaking his head Simon wondered if there was an act like a Ninja day or something like that. Outside of the Pokecenter though Simon had noticed something shiny. Hoping for a stone or something he was pleasently surprised to find five meteorite shards. Tucking it away with the others he collected he had started to just walk when he crossed the eye path of another trainer and that's where he was now, Pidgeotto facing off against a Gloom.

The next Pokemon to make an appearance was, "Croagunk the toxic mouth Pokemon. Its cheek holds poison sacs. It tries to catch foes off guard to jab them with toxic fingers." Another good foe for Pidgeotto as she was super effective against this type of Pokemon. Checking through his TMs he noticed that there was a new one from Nita, Sky Drop, a powerful flying move. Honestly he should teach Pidgeotto Fly as well, and he would once the battle was over.

As far as HMs went Fly and Surf were by far the handiest in terms of travel and power. Fly was useful but not incredible in battle unless you're up against something weak to flying but surf, surf hit multiple targets. Looking up from the TMs back to the battle he nodded at Pidgeotto, "You're doing amazing, keep it up with some tackles!" Pidgeotto nodded and rushed the Eevee.

The next Pokemon was one that Simon himself wanted eventually, the fossil Pokemon, "Archeops the first bird Pokemon. They are intelligent and will cooperate to catch prey. From the ground, they use a running start to take flight.""Keep it up with tackle," Simon called out and Pidgeotto bobbed in the air. The rock move really hurt her but they were determined to win this battle together.

The final Pokemon was a powerful one, "Metagross the iron leg Pokemon. Metagross is the result of two Metang achieving fusion. When hunting, this Pokemon pins they prey to the ground under its massive body. It then eats the helpless victim using the large mouth on its stomach." Sadly Simon didn't think Pidgeotto could beat this as normal and flying moves were ineffective so he returned her and sent out Shedinja. Shadow ball would be super effective so Simon ordered Shedinja to fire it off and defeat the steel monster.

Thanking the trainer for a great battle Simon returned Shedinja and hurried back to the Pokecenter to heal his team up. Once they were all rested he sent out Pidgeotto again and taught her the move Fly replacing twister so they at least had two flying moves to work with. Scratching her head he confirmed what a great job she was doing before returning and looking for another trainer battle to raise her up some more. Only three more levels until she reached her final form, and maybe one day he would find her a Mega Stone.

Next Pokemon out must have been the trainer's starter as it was, "Grovyle the wood gecko Pokemon. The leaves growing out of Grovyle's body are convenient for camouflaging it from enemies in the forest. This Pokemon is a mast at climbing trees in jungles." One of Hoenn's starters in the second form the Pokemon also had a Mega Stone but luckily not in this form. Calling out for Pidgeotto to take to the sky with fly she called out and flew into the air.

Next up the trainer had Simon's favorite Pokemon, Duskull. Although he loved the whole evolution line he preferred Duskull and Dusknoir then Dusclops. If he ran upon another on his journey he would catch it and never evolve it, or catch two and have one of each of the evolution line. Sadly he had to defeat it and they would, calling out to Pidgeotto to take to the sky and she did.

Though most of the trainers around here had several different types of Pokemon it seemed like a lot were great to train Pidgeotto and any other bird Pokemon up. Lots of grass types like, "Breloom the mushroom Pokemon. The seeds ringing Breloom's tail are made of hardened toxic spores. it is horrible to eat the seeds. Just taking a bite of this Pokemon's seed will cause your stomach to rumble." Why would anyone actually try to eat the seeds of that Pokemon, that seems so odd. Pidgeotto knew what was going on and was already up in the air.

Four easy Pokemon for Pidgeotto and one that she couldn't really damage and he needed to send out their ringer, Shedinja. Returning his bird Pokemon Simon sent out the shell of a Ghost. Deciding to make an entrance the shell tumbled to the floor as a light flew around it before it rose ready to fight. Right now the foe was the rock Pokemon, "Binacle the two handed Pokemon. They stretch and then contract, yanking their rocks along with them in bold hops. They eat seaweed that washes up on the shoreline."

After healing his team up Simon went back to wandering while deep in thought. Hearing another trainer call out and spit out some bull about locking eyes. Shaking his head Simon decided this would be their last battle at least around here as Pidgeotto came out to battle another flying Pokemon, "Taillow tiny swallow Pokemon. Taillow courageously stands its ground against foes, however strong they may be. This gutsy Pokemon will remain defiant even after a loss. On the other hand, it cries loudly if it becomes hungry."
