World Events

The world of Tendaji is always bustling with news, events, and general commotion for the people that reside within it. Weather, wars, famine, holidays, celebrations - these things can add character to a person and shape who they are and show insight to what kind of person they want to be.

World events are prompts set up within the world of Tendaji for characters to participate in and earn points toward growth. Prompts are swapped out for new ones every other month.

|| Most prompts are solo format prompts unless otherwise noted.
|| An owner may participate with as many characters as they like.
|| A single character may only write one response per prompt.
|| World Event prompts may be used toward growth points. (prompt will indicate how the prompt may be applied.)
|| Solos must be 750 words to count as completed.
|| RP formatted prompts must have 7 posts to count as completed.
|| RPs and solos (all event responses) should be posted in the events forum in the guild and marked fin once they are finished.
|| RPs and solos must be started within the time frame - RPs should be completely finished before submitting the character for growth, Solos should be finished within one month of the prompts expiration!
|| Prompts can only count for the number of points appointed to them regardless of length of the response.
|| You should only make one thread per World Event - this means you cannot make a single thread with multiple characters posting solos.
|| World events before 8/31/16 are worth 5 growth points if they are a RP or solo req. Battle world event prompts will be worth either 3 EXP Growth Points, or 3 RP growth Points (if they were done with a partner).

Strange Weather ☂

Solo or RP Format
Counts as 5 RP growth Points
Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7

Prompt

As Spring rolls into Summer in Tendaji it appears that something is not as it should be. In fact, strange and unpredictable weather is happening all across the world. Strong storms, bizarre heat waves, unheard of snow storms, floods, and other similar events are happening in all of the countries. Some are superstitious, seeing it as a warning of great evil, others blame the Dretch, some shrug it off as a freaky incident, and others ignore that it's even such an oddity.

However, one thing is certain - all the lands are dealing with these weird weather outbreaks in their own way. How are you handling matters? Do you try to help others, are you too focused on yourself, or do you want to try and find answers for the causes behind these recent events? Or did you get caught out in the disaster yourself and these are your memories of how you had to fight against the odds to get to safety?

Basically this is a solo (or a rp with a friend) to write out how your character is being affected by these strange occurrences in Tendaji.

Please see the below to see what is occurring in each region!

Chibale and Matori are both suffering from snow - something that has rarely hit these warmer countries before! A blizzard especially is unheard of.

Jahaur and Yael are experiencing drought. Rain hasn't fallen for the last couple of weeks...

Tale, Sauti, and Oba are experiencing massive amounts of rain to the point that some of the desert is flooding.

Zena is having the strangest heat wave and some areas once covered year-round with snow and ice are even starting to melt...

Belrea is shaken. Literally. A huge earthquake has ripped through the continent scaring many and even now faint rumbles from its impact shift at random beneath your feet.

The Painted Egg
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Counts as 5 RP growth Points
Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7

Spring has arrived in Tendaji; in most places flowers were blooming while others might only see a slight temperature increase. The weather was nice so you decide to take a stroll. As you leave town and enter a small clearing, you notice strange colorful dots all throughout the grass.

"Oh stop right there!"

Freezing, you stop with your foot hovering just a breath above the grass and then as you slowly take one step backwards you notice that something colorful had been nestled against the ground. What was this? A Gaein girl comes forward and offers a big smile, "Thank you for stopping! You nearly crushed the egg." From there she explains that the whole field is full of colorful eggs that she had spread out for the villagers to find. Apparently in Belrea this time of year is a time for festivities and one of their most popular games is finding brightly dyed eggs that children create with their parents who later hide them away. As a member of the Academy she had been granted permission to come and share this knowledge with those in Tendaji and so offers to allow you to play with those already shifting through the wide expanse of fields.

[ Roll a 1d20 to determine what happens during your hunt!]
1. You are reaching out for an egg when it suddenly floats away! What in the? But then you notice wings behind it. A sprite is trying to steal your egg away!
2. You find a total of 8, totally normal, painted eggs!
3. You pick up what appears to be an egg but doesn't have the same weight a normal egg should have and you notice a line down the center. As you pull the two halves apart, a strange vial [an eye of the goddess] falls out!
4. You find a total of 2, totally normal, painted eggs!
5. You pick up an egg but later begin to smell something foul coming from your bag, it seems that you picked up a rotten egg!
6. You feel a bit competitive and run around as fast as you can to collect every egg, too bad a little boy just left with a basket full!
7. Oh no, watch your step! You accidentally step on and break an egg!
8. You find a total of 10, totally normal, painted eggs!
9. You find an extra large egg hidden in some tall grass. Later, it hatches into a Xaraan!
10. You're a little late to the party, all the younglings have already gathered all the eggs before you even got a chance, how sad!
11. You find a total of 5, totally normal, painted eggs!.
12. You hear a quiet scratching noise coming from a slightly larger painted egg you just picked up. It later hatches into a Sailscale!
13. You find a total of 1, totally normal, painted egg!
14. As you're walking, you hear a strange noise coming from the bushes. A keldari pops out at you! Whether you get startled or just shoo it away, a few eggs fall out of your basket and crack as they hit the ground.
15. You find a total of 3, totally normal, painted eggs!
16. You're walking towards a particular egg when you feel something beneath your foot as you take a step. Whew! Close call, you move your foot and the egg remains unharmed and you add it to your basket!
17. You find a total of 15, totally normal, painted eggs!
18. You feel your basket start to wiggle a bit and then hear giggling. As you look down, you see a youngling taking your eggs! They make off with 4 of your eggs before you have a chance to stop them!
19. You find an unpainted egg. Figuring it's not a part of the egg hunt, you leave it alone and continue on.
20. It seems that something is weird about one of the eggs you've picked up. As you stare at it the egg begins to wobble and even glows from the inside?! It later hatches into a Sitara!

The Truth Behind It All
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Counts as 5 RP growth Points
Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7

The news of the recent events spread wide across Tendaji, from the mountains of Zena to the remote settlements in Zinris. Everyone knew that something major had happened, but very few could agree on exactly what it was. Sure, the Alkidike sisters and their new daughters had a clue, but they kept such stories close to their heart. Only the few who ventured out to the Earthling settlements shared their tales, and even then it was so widely out of scope that many refused to believe. After all, why would anyone want to believe that there lived a race of unknown creatures that could control Earthlings and kill them with a wave of their hand?

It was easier for everyone to feign ignorance and stick to what they knew. Prepare for war, prepare for battle, and prepare as a nation of allies.

It seemed that everyone was determined to come together, as a whole, and figure out how to best protect their lands. The letters that spread from leader to leader spoke of individual impressions and a determination to meet and plot. It seemed many pushed past their differences to come together, including the newer races of Belrea and Yael. A great gathering was in the works, and everyone seemed to have different feelings on what that really meant.

As you hear reports of your leaders traveling to the heart of Tendaji, how do you feel about it? Do you trust that they will come out with the right decision, or do you think it's a massive mistake and time is better spent protecting their own people? Take some time to reflect on your feelings, or even roleplay with a friend to talk about what you think will happen with the gathering between leaders.

[ We are looking to have a lot of reflective response for this event, and expect your response to reflect your character's worldview and how their own race might feel if this is something that is rare for them (such as the Yaeli, Zenans, or Belreans). ]

Honoring Those Who Are Gone
Prompt 2

Solo or RP Format
Counts as 5 RP growth Points
Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7

The fall always seems to be a somber time thanks to the transition of the cold. With less distractions from the chores required during the summer heat, you cannot help but think about those who are no longer there in your life. Maybe it was your mother and father, prominent figures in your life that you never imagined would be gone. Or maybe it was someone taken from your life too soon, like a friend or a sibling. Or maybe it was an animal, a familiar that you raised when you were a kid but passed away from old age.

How do you honor those you have lost? What goes through your mind this time as you celebrate their life and mourn for the loss? Take some time to reflect on the past, and how that impacted you and shaped you for the future. If you want, you can even roleplay with a friend to discuss each other's loss (but both character needs to speak of their own personal loss in order for it to count).

[ We are looking for reflection more so than the actions, but here are the funeral rituals in tendaji:

A lot of it is just burials in cemetery like lots of land. The Alkidike take their Sisters back to the Islands where they have a night ceremony, bringing them back to Aisha, and then floating them off to sea on a pyre. The earthlings have funerals and bury their dead, leaving a stone marker in their place. They usually bury their deceased and pass their belongings down to kin during the ceremony. Each earthling tribe uses a specific burial blanket during their funerals.

At Large
Prompt 1

Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it. You may encounter any beast on Yael if you are located there, but you must declare which one you are facing when you make the roll.

This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

xxxxxPrentice must roll 60-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
xxxxxStage 3 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast
xxxxxStage 4 must roll 30-100 to successfully subdue the beast.

|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!

|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

|| Those who win a familiar should be followed up by a PM to our Beast Battle Mule: Beast Tamer Freya with this form:

Species || Tintural, Keldari, or Limbara
Gender ||
Name ||
Owner || [username of owner, not character name]
URL ||

|| Title your PMs with "Tamed"

Barter and Haggle
Prompt 2

Can be used toward Solo or RP req

Lately, the local market places have been filled with new traders offering their wares. It seem as if many across the land are trying their hand at selling clothing, weapons, and trinkets. With so many new faces, now is the best time to go to the market and barter for the best prices.

So go ahead and grab your goods or grab your gold and take a shot at bartering.

This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be the merchant, or can be looking to purchase an item. Groups can RP with both characters on the same side, or trying to barter with each other.

|| You can also use this opportunity to test out the new Item Crafting system!
|| If you use an item that you have successfully crafted with the new system (you do not need to have customized the item) as the item in your prompt, you will earn 15exp in addition to the versatile point. Please provide a link to the crafting thread in your character's first post.
|| If you choose to craft an item for the event, the attempt must have been done after the prompt opened (February 8th), and all requirements must be complete for it to count.
|| As always, the crafting system is intended for stage 2+. Younglings and prentices will not be able to try for the extra exp.
|| If you choose not to use a crafted item, you will only receive the versatile point credit.

Remembering the Past
Prompt 3

Can be used toward Solo or RP req

It has been seven long years since the Great Oban Invasion. It almost feels like a dream, considering all of the changes that have occurred in Tendaji since the great war. A new King sits on the Oban throne, and he has opened the boundaries of Oba and Matori. Many already are taking advantage of the open boarders to travel and explore. The world was expanding and changing all things to the massive war of the great nations.

Since the war, Tendaji took a stand against the extremist Alkidikes and won. They came together to show a new alliance that many could never dream of. Everything was settling, and now that there finally was peace everyone has begun to to take a moment and remember all that has come and gone.

How have the major wars and changes impacted your character these past few years? Are they bitter for their failures or happy about their success? Do they see a peaceful future to come or are they concerned about those who may be still holding grudges?

[Characters not part or even alive during the war can still respond to this prompt. Maybe they have a different way of understanding the war compared to those who were part of it, so feel free to explore those feelings and thoughts in your response]

Monsters?
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

With the recently discovered Yaeli, the land of Tendaji has been abuzz with talk and gossip about their new neighbors. They're odd, they're strange and skittish, their eyes glow - but that can't possibly be true most say - the word on the street is that they're starting to leave their island. Those that had met the Yaeli know that it's an odd thing to hear. They were terrified of the outsiders, why would they leave their safe villages...

Rumors are filling the toxic island where the Alkidikes extremists were banished along with the Matron. Rumors of monsters clawing their way out of the earth with oil black skin and glowing evil eyes that are even weirder than the strange monsters that landed upon their shores just one year ago. The Yaeli say that their gaze can steal the soul of any person dumb enough to get too close and they're vicious beings trying to take their children.

These rumors have reached the main land as well, mostly through the few Yaeli that have decided they would rather face the scary but similar earthling races than to have to find out what the terrifying monsters want with them and their land.

Is there any truth to these rumors or are the Yaelians seeing things?

[Yaeli characters can respond to the event with their own opinions on the rumors.]

The First Blooms
Extremist Only Prompt

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

The Matron called for a meeting at the center of Zinris, the Extremists' new home on the island of Yael. She stood before her banished sisters, all of them gathered before a large tree that was much different than the ones of the land. This tree, known to the Extremists as Elzira, was their prized possession and greatest hope. For it had sprouted from one of Aisha's seeds, taken in the land and grown to great extremes in only a year.

And, it had three blooms.

User Image

Many had been uncertain when the tree first began to bloom, considering the flowers were different in color than those of Aisha. They were the same appearance wise, but the darker colors caused doubts in some of the sisters. Would they even bloom? The tree was still young, and it had only just been a year since it had been planted. The sisters had prayed for strength and justice from the tree, but none expected to be blessed with this sign of new life.

The matron, however, had her faith.

"Over a year ago we were banished to these soils and expected to make it our home," The Matron finally addressed the gathered sisters, "The earthlings and our traitorous sisters expected us to wilt. They expected us to fail. By cutting us off from the mainland, they believed it would be like cutting our head from our bodies."

Some sisters shouted their own outrage, the anger of the betrayal and the frustration of their failure still fresh wounds. Others stood stubborn, wondering if the Matron would finally let them know what their true potential and future on the island would be.

"I have heard a voice, one that grew in strength as this tree grew in our home. As we grow stronger so does this voice, and she speaks to me. She tells me stories of how to survive; of how to move through these woods and what we need to heal and to grow strong. Elzira...she is the one who called us here today to show us her promise for cultivating live in our new home and providing to us as a true mother should!"

The sisters began to whisper once the Matron moved from her stand and toward the three blooms. Those in front could see that the blooms were shifting as if the contents inside were struggling to break free.

"Watch, my faithful and dedicated sisters, as the true vision of our future is revealed. Elzira has spoken. Today is the day that our future begins!"

As she finished speaking the first bloom began to split, and soon enough the others followed. The Matron reached down within the bloom, grabbing a small form before turning to hold up the quivering child high in the air. Where she stood, the entire extremist group could all see the child.

As the Matron presented the bloomed child, the entire group began to chant. They calling out to show the strength of their mission and the power of Elzira. This day would forever remain a staple on them all. The true vision of their cause, held in the hands of their Matron, was revealed in the form of the Elaria.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

|| This is an extremist only prompt, as they were unable to do the last World Event. At this time, no one outside of the camp knows of the Elaria blooms.

|| Extremists, how does your character feel about this big announcement? After a year of waiting, wondering, they finally have proof that their cause has meaning. How do they feel about the new tree that has taken on the role of Aisha? And what are their thoughts of the new race, the Elaria, that bloomed from the trees?

|| Feel free to RP with each other or do a solo reflecting your character's thoughts and actions immediately after the Matron's announcement.

Did You Hear?
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

Word spread fast in a place like Tendaji. Surprising when the people were so spread out, but now that there was more traveling it was a growing rumor mill spreading word as fast as earthlings could move. It was little secret that a group of Alkidike were starting to cause problems in Tendaji. The extremist Alkidike felt that it was high time that Jauhar was taken back from the shifters and the alarming growth of others that were settling into their land.

There were growing accounts of ambushing in the jungles of Jauhar, where shifters and other earthlings were being beaten and sacked for their things before being threatened to leave Jauhar… and there was only so much these poor people could take before they fled the scene and packed their bags. What would happen if the Alkidike decided to spread out further than Jauhar and became a threat to all earthlings?

They were still rumors, and nothing could be proved, but many were beginning to cast a disapproving gaze toward the Alkidike and a weary eye to Jauhar’s borders...

Fight in the Marketplace!
Prompt 2

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

The people of Tendaji seem to be settling in - and some in places far from their homeland. The tensions are high, and with the whispers of the Alkidike planning an offensive… well, some have been on edge and ready for a fight. Were the outsiders going to help their people when the time came to fight the extremist Alkidike? Most of the natives to the area had their doubts.

An argument had broken out in the market, verbal at first, but it wasn’t long before it became a physical confrontation.

This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be the instigator, or on the defense.

This battle prompt will be resolved by rolling 1D100.

xxxxxPrentice must roll 70-100 for success.
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 60-100 for success.
xxxxxStage 3 must roll 50-100 for success.
xxxxxStage 4 must roll 40-100 for success.

|| Success will result in 50exp in addition to the versatile point
|| Failure will only allow for the versatile point credit.

Beliefs and Values
Prompt 3

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

Summer was drawing closer and closer and the different villages around Tendaji were beginning to plan their summer festivals. It was a tradition in Tendaji - to celebrate the Gods every year in the summer when spirits were high and food was at its most abundant.

All the races had their own gods to celebrate, whatever those might have been, and every person had their own feelings one way or the other.

What did they mean to you? With the summer fast approaching, it must be somewhere (no matter how small) on everyone’s thoughts. And what are your thoughts on the other culture’s gods?

Tendaji Gods
Alkidike: The Alkidikes worship the great tree Aisha as their mother and creator. While they might recognize other deities as the creators of other species, they find the pantheons of the other tribes to be foolish. They believe Aisha to be the supreme ruler. After all, she is a living, tangible part of Tendaji from which every one of their people is born. To them, this alone is enough proof of their racial superiority and entitlement to the entirety of Tendaji, not just Jauhar.

Shifters: The Shifters worship and revere the moon, whom they refer to as the goddess Serin. Their true connection to the moon has been disputed for as long as anyone can remember. They do not call it their creator. All they know is that, when the moon comes out, their skin turns silver. Clearly, they must be connected in some way.
Shifters believe in the existence of lesser gods (i.e. of rain, of tides, of forests, etc.), but the names of these lesser deities vary and are often quite personal to individuals. The earthlings recognize that others may call these same deities by different names, and accept them as the same gods with different titles.

Leaf: The Leaf Tribe is a very spiritual people. They believe themselves to be connected to and a part of the earth, in so much that the earth feeds them, clothes them, shelters them, and when they die, becomes their home. As such, their respect for the land that provides for them is deep and uncompromising. To them, everything that comes from the earth has some sort of spiritual quality. As the earth protects them, so should they protect it.
The Leaf Tribe's religion is very similar to animism. They do not have names for their gods, but believe everything in nature to be filled with a spirit.

Wind: The Wind Tribe worships Bergchi, most commonly referred to simply as "Chi," the often icy goddess of the mountains. They believe her to be their originator and mother, but not necessarily the highest power in the world. They believe that all people return to her in death and when speaking of those who have passed, will often mention the goddess as well, saying "Bergchi be with them," "Bergchi guide them," or some other variant.
They also believe in Ault, the sun god (see "Bringer of Fire"), although he is not their primary deity.
The Wind Tribe also believes in the existence of lesser gods (i.e. of rain, of tides, of forests, etc.), but the names of these lesser deities vary and are often quite personal to individuals. The earthlings recognize that others may call these same deities by different names, and accept them as the same gods with different titles.

Ice: Like the Wind Tribe, the Ice Tribe worships Bergchi, or “Chi”, the goddess of the mountains. Bergchi is their creator and mother, although not necessarily the highest power in Tendaji. When a person passes on, they meet Bergchi in the next world. Their sacred mountain, far to the east of Zena, is called Mount Xi’i. There, a secluded group of female oracles live, protecting the mountain.
They also believe in the sun god Ault (See "Bringer of Fire"), although he is not their primary deity.
The Ice Tribe also believes in the existence of lesser gods (i.e. of rain, of tides, of forests, etc.), but the names of these lesser deities vary and are often quite personal to individuals. The earthlings recognize that others may call these same deities by different names, and accept them as the same gods with different titles.

Fire: The people of Oba believe in a whole pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, partitioning all parts of life to a god such as birth, death, fishing, ocean, a king and queen of the gods, etc. There is always a different name to pray to depending on the situation at hand. The major players in their pantheon include:
Nerad - King of Gods, god of judgement
Essd - Queen of Gods, goddess of life and death
Drach - God of storms and rain
On’os - God of time and fortune
Lenoxe - Goddess of fishing and feasts
Kiyom - God of wood and lumber
Hatald - Goddess of fertility, marriage, and women
Jonal - God of men and war
Ubeli - Godess of the moon and ocean
Atun - God of the sun, forging fires, and desert

Water: The people of Matori, due to their close though rather forced relationship with Oba, believe in the same pantheon of Gods and Goddesses as their former enslavers, though a few of the names seem to have shifted and evolved. There is always a different name to pray to depending on the situation at hand. The major players in their pantheon include:
Nessat - King of Gods, god of judgement (Oba: Nerad)
Ome Essd - Queen of Gods, goddess of life and death (Oba: Essd)
Drach’ti - God of storms and rain (Oba: Drach)
On’os - God of time and fortune
Len - Goddess of fishing and feasts (Oba: Lenoxe)
Kiyom - God of wood and lumber
Hatald - Goddess of fertility, marriage, and women
Jonal - God of men and war
Ubeli’ae - Godess of the moon and ocean (Oba: Ubeli)
Atun - God of the sun, forging fires, and desert

Spring Showers
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

After the frigid chill of the harsh winter had left Tendaji, it seemed that most were happy to just return to their normal routines, though the normal routine didn’t seem to be what the weather had in mind. It wasn’t long before almost everywhere noticed the way that the winter air had seemed to push precipitation onto the land in its place. Rain flowed seemingly non-stop, reaching all the areas of Tendaji, even frozen Zena saw its share of rain, though the temperatures were still much too cold to support such a thing and rain turned to hail, which froze over the ground.

The critters of Tendaji only wanted to seek shelter from their flooded homes and the wet downpour that surrounded them. They found their way into homes, huts, sheds, anywhere that could stay dry - and preferrably warm.

Rain Isn't the Only Problem
Prompt 2

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

There were places in Tendaji that were used to the rain, like Jauhar; others saw it as a blessing, getting so little in their day to day lives, like Tale and Oba. Then there were those individuals who saw to it that they used the rain to its full advantage. The sheets of rain came down and it was easy enough to use the cloak of it as a cover for raiding and looting. With everything seeming so gray, who would be able to see the misty figures dip in and out of a home within a matter of moments? Bandits were on the move and scouring Tendaji for targets.

Winter Is Coming
Prompt 1

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

The settlements of Tendaji all knew how to take care of themselves during the winter. Zena and Sauti received their usual snow fall, for Zena it was nearly year round and didn't faze them much at all; Tale and Jauhar seemed to retain most of their heat, dropping to milder temperatures; Matori and Oba seemed to flux between mild during the day and a sharp chill in the evenings. But usually it was all under control.

Word had passed through the elders and oracles and mystics that this winter was going to be a hard winter. The air would be sharp with cold and snow would fall in all areas of the world, something that had never happened before in Jauhar.

It came as a shock when the temperatures began to drop rapidly through the night. Most had thought that it was just a joke. There couldn't possibly be enough cold air to send snow to Jauhar. It was absurd. But it happened, and most of Tendaji wasn't prepared.

In the morning everything was frosted over, those in Zena and most of Sauti were barely able to open their doors the snow had risen so high overnight, and those in warmer climates could see the sheet of frost on the ground and the plants around them.

If the winter was going to be a long one, they would have to salvage what they could and come up with a plan...

Tis the Season
Prompt 2

Solo or RP Format
Can be used toward Solo or RP req

The air was ripe with cheer in all of Tendaji. The Oban's King had been defeated and a new and compassionate one put in his place, the slaves were released, and it was time for the Winter Solstice. Friendly faces abounded as the havoc of the war was nearly wiped away and the villages restored.

It would seem as if everyone was enjoying the season, and it was very clear to see why. Almost every land in Tendaji were hosting their own winter celebrations, partying and feasting until the early hours of the morning before settling in to sleep for the night. It wasn't a time for work anymore, but a momentary reprieve for play.
