This guy comments about the Hobbit trilogy: "I feel the same way about those movies. I started watching one and got bored, it all feels low budget without great action like the LOTR movies"

I comment back: "$745 million budget. Yeah. Totally low. XP"

The Hobbit has cost MORE than the Lord the Rings to film.

Yeah I asked my friend on FB who is a HUGE Tolkien fan. She's one of those whose read all of his books at least five times each, has watched all the films (plus extended versions and the interviews)

I actually wasn't a huge fan of the LOTR *is shot*

I liked the first one of the trilogy the best. After that they almost got a little too... idk, srs cat for me? The Hobbit's been a lot more fun, and personally I'm glad they made it into a trilogy, even though lots of people seem to think it "draws it out too much".

I hated how the original LOTR focuses JUST on the fighting and tremoil. The books were so much more. When they sang in the first Hobbit film I think Daniel almost cried. He goes "THEY KEPT SOME OF THE SONGS!"

Plus the LOTR left out Tom Bombadil crying

Haha... wow. rolleyes

I think I enjoyed the LOTR movies more when I actually read the series and went back and read them again. It made the long movie more enjoyable because I actually knew what was going on, especially for the parts that may not have been explained as clearly in the film as they are in the books. And of course I enjoy the Hobbit films as well. 3nodding
