I'm looking forward to full showers, but I'll also be nervous the first few times removing the pads over my nipples...

I've never had reconstructive surgery so I'm going to think of this like childbirth (without the pain).
"Oh my god only ____ more times until I get to see the thing I've been waiting to see for so long!"
And the end result (kiddo, man chest, whatever) is awesome. So awesome.

So awesome. heart In a way, I feel like I'm one step closer to being a daddy. This was a big step towards realizing myself as a man, so it follows in a way. At the surgeon's office, the doctor commented that the binders they put on over the bandages are basically "torture devices". rofl He sure wasn't wrong. I'd been stuck on narcotic pain meds taken once every 4 hours. Once the damn thing came off, I've been taking HALF a dose of Tylenol every six to eight. Some places on my ribs are still tender and I think bruised... hurts when I touch them. But I'm sure they'll heal up too.

Aww that's sweet. You'll make an awesome dad someday <3
And the bandages sounded so annoying. Not only painful but I imagine they were itchy as well.

I hope the kids aren't like my brother. He would sit at the table for forty-five minutes after everyone else had left, refusing to eat his cold vegetables.

Even if it's food she likes. Took her 45 minutes to eat half a grilled cheese the other day x_x We don't make them eat all their food. But they have to eat a decent portion. And they have to at least try each thing on their plate. They don't really get "punished" for not eating. But if they don't eat they don't get dessert.

But if they don't eat they don't get dessert. When my Mom and her siblings were kids, their Dad (my Grandpa) would tell them that they had to eat everything off their plate. If they refused to eat something, he would add more of said food to their plate and told them that they couldn't leave the table until they finished eating. whee I think he did the you-don't-get-any-dessert-until-you-finish-dinner thing too.
