As they were walking, he did secretly kept an eye n her, and noticed the few times she winced in pain, and felt bad. He play the scenario over in his head of how he could help her out, but each time it ended with her screaming, or calling him a pervert, or a freak, or something degrading like that. He wanted to give her a piggy back ride, or may bridal style carry? But that's a bit excessive since they JUST met, right? But it all faded, as soon as they entered this new café that sold sweet things. He loved the aesthetic, it was super adorable. Just like her. He thought as he looked down to her.
When she asked what he liked, he lightly blushed and looked away. Lightly scratching the side of his face as her pondered on what that would be. "Strawberry....short cake....." He muttered a bit embarrassed. He moved his hand to the back of his head, and started scratching. "Cause.....I really like strawberries......" He felt a bit out of place. She probably think it's lame for a guy to like girly things, but he also enjoyed cross dressing on occasion to. Maybe not mention that to her.....ever.
Clearing his throat, he pointed at the counter and waved vaguely at the menu on the wall. "Anything you want, I gotcha covered." Noe placed his hands in his pockets, and smiled back at her.

Emi wasn't too surprised that Noe liked strawberry shortcake. She was more surprised that they had similar tastes in sweets. Although, she didn't know why he was being so bashful about it. Cake was cake~ Her eyes sparkled up in amazement as she started to type up things again. [ No need to be so embarrassed about it~ ] The girl teased and chuckled. [ It's my favorite, too! They make 'em super fresh here, so good choice~ ] Emi was often a frequent shopper here, so much so that some of the employees knew her on a first name basis. A bit embarassing... but hey, sometimes they'd be nice and give her discounts or let her taste test new stuff, so it was a win-win in her eyes. As Noe motioned to the menu and counter, he still insisted on paying for her stuff. She was really reluctant, but didn't really have much of a backbone to speak up, so she just went with it. Giving him a little nod, Emi walked over to the counter, ringing the small bell that was mounted on the counter.
As if on cue, one of the workers came out from the back kitchen area through a small section of curtains hiding the doorway. "Well if it isn't Emi!" The worker looked from her to Noe and seemed a bit surprised. "Isa's not here today with you? Huh, that's a big surprise. Anyways, you getting the usual? Strawberry shortcake and a 3 pack of macarons?" He asked as he was getting some gloves on to start getting things together. The pink mute smiled and nodded, to which the guy then turned his attention to Noe. "And what can I get ya?". While he waited for Noe to say his order, the worker went ahead and started placing 3 macarons - chocolate, strawberry and violet - into a small box before slicing a big slice out of the strawberry shortcake that was made just a few minutes ago.

He smiled softly to the girl. Her words made him feel comfortable. Usually people would look down on a guy for liking girly things, but he can't help it, even if he's suppose to be this terror of the night thing....Being on this realm of mortals, made him appreciate the little things too. Hearing the clerk ask him what he would like, he looked up at the menu, to see what else they might have. Being near sighted didn't help either, and looked back to the clerk. Not wanting to make an a** of himself, he wanted to see if they had anything with lavender in it to help calm his nerves down, but instead he just scratched the back of his head again. "Uh......Just one slice of strawberry...shortcake please......" He said, and started rummaging through his pockets to find his wallet.

The worker gave Noe a quick nod as he sliced up another slice of cake. Placing both slices on their own little decorative ceramic plates, he placed them both on a single tray, along with the small box of macarons. "Alright, kiddos. That's $7 even." It was honestly a decent price, especially since he sliced up the cake into big wedges. Of course, Emi didn't mind it with how big they were. She was pretty excited to eat! Her gaze moved over to Noe, just to see if he was as excited, however, he looked... nervous for some reason? It was easy for her to tell just from his body language that he was feeling uncomfortable about something. She just didn't know what. Emi was a bit puzzled and just studied Noe silently for a short while after he paid. Once they found somewhere to sit and eat, the girl started typing on her phone again. [ Thanks for buying, but are you okay? You seem sorta nervous. Did I do something? ] Did she order too much food? Or maybe she said something rude to him without knowing? Whatever it was, she had the inclination to make things right somehow. She always had a habit of thinking she did something wrong, and was always finding ways to try and fix things even if she didn't do anything. Without much of a second thought, Emi started rummaging through her little backpack purse in search of her wallet. She thought that if she paid him back, perhaps things would be less tense. She pulled out some cash to cover her food cost and slide the money over to him.
