This is the smallest of the islands, perfect for the fire dragons who must live near fire. Molten valleys thread through three active volcanoes. There are caves for the dragons to live in, the heat of the mountains controlled by the dragons who live here.

User Image Kalira angled down to land on the ledge of the cavern she called home. She'd been sent as an emissary to this place from the Dragon realm at first, then remained as a kind of ambassador for the dragons who moved here after Lao and the Goddess formed the island chain.

As she landed, she folded her wings against her back and turned to lay down on the ledge and considered the place she now called home. It was perfect for her, if a bit empty. There were a few other fire dragons around, but they stayed away from her. That was fine with her, she didn't like to socialize much anyway.

Her swirling eyes missed nothing as they moved over the various lava flows and volcanoes, seeing the few dragons that lived here also returning to the caves they called home. She gave a small sigh and closed her eyes to rest for a bit, knowing that she was safe here.

Asia, flew over the small island and circled overhead a few times, studying the volcanic activity below. She was hesitant about landing in a new place but was weary from her flight. The unexpected thunderstorm she'd encountered was also not a welcomed experience. Large red wings flapped and spread out as she glided lower, a cough escaping her mouth and a small billow of steam spilled from her nose. The rain from the storm had drenched her and she had no way to avoid the large storm, rather choosing to go through it instead of making her flight twice as far by trying to go around it. Asia hoped the island was a refuge as she'd heard from people along her travels, because with her glands soaked, there was no way for her to breath fire for protection. She could of course use her physical strength but that wasn't something that she wanted to do either. The young dragon just wanted to rest and possibly find others like her.

Smoky gray eyes drifted to and fro as she dove slowly lower to the land below her. The island was certainly beautiful and being a fire breather, would happily welcome the warmth of the volcanic activity below. Flapping her large wings a little faster as she came closer to a ridge, she lifted her head and chest, feet landing gracefully on the surface. The scent and warmth of the island filled her senses as she looked around curiously. Seeing no movement nearby from anything, Asia closed her smoky eyes and stretched her neck out, wings spreading to full length, then with all her strength, she gave a big shake starting from her nose all the way down the length of her body like a wet dog. Unwelcome water flew everywhere, she heard the sizzle of it as it hit some hot spots on the ground nearby. Finally her tail gave a whip and flick as water was thrown from the tip of it. With a deep huff of relief, she opened her mouth, took a deep breath and expelled it to see how much damage had been done in the storm. Nothing came out but steam.

Asia growled a little, annoyed with herself and the storm. She was tired though and hoped that with some rest, her glands would recover. Her regal head turned to look about as her wings retracted to lay against her muscled body. There was a nearby ledge, with a slight concave to it, close by. The young dragon, walked over to the stone surface and lay down. Her large frame pressed close to the cool, concave of the wall, giving her a little shelter in case there was anymore storms. Curling her neck around to lay her head next to her stomach as her neck lay over one of her legs, her gray orbs drifted shut.

After what seemed like only minutes, Asia's eyes drifted open. Still no one in site, she stood slowly. Her four powerful legs stretched as she arched a little and shook off the sleep. Walking to the edge of the cliff, she spread her wings and leaped into the air, pushing down with powerful strokes of her wings.
Flying in the direction of no where in particular, Asia took her leave from this island.

User Image Kalira finally roused herself when she thought she heard the sound of wings, but gave a disgusted sound when she found herself wet from a rainstorm she'd apparently slept through. She got up and shook the water from her scales and wings then gave a brief blast of flames that finished drying herself off.

Feeling a bit better she finally looked to the sky and figured the must have heard wrong or even dreamed the sound of beating dragon wings, or else it had simply been one of the other elusive dragons that called this place home. She gave a soft huff and moved into the cave she called home and started a fire in the pit before pulling out the last of the deer she'd stored and dropped it over the fire, thinking she'd enjoy her meal better without fur this time.

She glanced at the entrance to her cave then moved out onto the ledge, enjoying the sunlight on her bright red scales while her meal cooked inside. She hadn't met too many dragons here but didn't mind that since she wasn't a very social personality. She was more familiar with fighting than conversation.

At least she didn't have to deal with Mating attempts these days... Males were usually more intimidated by her than attracted.

Still, she did consider that she might be better off at least trying to get to know the other dragons here, but had no idea where to start.

She took another look at the sky then headed back into her cave where she fished the deer out of the fire and used her claws to section it up before eating it, finally deciding that the lack of fur on her food was better after all.

Her meal eaten, she moved back out onto the ledge to digest a bit before flying anywhere, knowing it would only give her an upset stomach if she flew on a full stomach. So she simply enjoyed the sunlight on her bright red scales as she looked at the lava flows below her...

Everything lay seemingly quiet on the Volcanic area of the chain of many different areas where the dragons lived. It seemed to stay that way for a while before there was suddenly a great mighty rumbling as if something was shaking the fiery island. A one volcano that was near the center of the strong quaking sensation suddenly erupted as the very earth seemed to split open, sprouts of lava spewing forth from the many lava rivers around it as the lava poured into the gapping crevice before a loud mighty roaring came from within that seemed to shake the ground as it pierced the heavens above in a calling sound. After a moment everything stopped, it got quiet again for several long tense moments before there was a shrill high pitched sound before a fiery blast came from that open ground as a large red glowing body shot forth from beneath the earth's surface. The body of a large red dragon emerged shaking off lava and dirt as it flapped its huge red wings that spanned 45ft long creating a mighty gust with each flap. Lifting its mighty horned head it let out several calls into the area before silencing as it flew up and began to circle the length of the island and back again as the ground shuddered closed sealing up with lava creating a small little pond of lava that simmered and bubbled.

The mighty red dragon flew in a circle for a while never landing before suddenly coming down on top of a large cliff that had split a lava river making it two instead of one. Flicking her long heavy tail side to side before curling it around her back legs. She breathed out slowly, smoke curling and floating upwards from her nostrils as she gazed around the valleys of fire with moonlight silver eyes. Blinking slowly as she shook herself out once more before settling down a bit more, She was antsy and only remained still for a few moments before taking flight again. She had been asleep for many a year and did not seek any more rest, her body was full of energy and she was beginning to hunger for food. Flying out in search of something to eat, it didn't take her long before she came back with a large fat buck. Though it was a little hard to tell it was a buck since the dragon had well butchered it somewhat in the kill. Its neck was completely broken leaving its head to sway upside down, she flew around for a while longer with the kill in her claws before finally finding the perfect cave that was located perfectly in a high location with a large lava fall running down next to it. She made sure it was uninhabited first before claiming it as her own going inside to eat.

A beautiful ruby crystal had formed on a plateau of the Volcanic Region, it;s dark red shade highlighted by flowing magma and jets of fire. It seemed to form overnight, but it had begun to crack since this morning, and by now it was right about ready to burst. Inside of it was a shape, winged and fairly large. The ruby cracked once more, and admist the ever flowing carnage of the Volcanic Chain, a long and powerful chime rang out, loud like temple bells and drowning out the sounds of everything. The ruby crystal fell apart, and a beautiful white dragon landed on the plateau. He closed his eyes and laid down, his head bowed as he listened to the wonderful silence that followed.

To him, he couldn't hear anything. The silence was all that mattered, the contemplation that followed it as the dragon slowly opened his eyes. Sound was returning to his ears as he rose to his feet and stretched his wings. This place was quite beautiful, though hot as hell. Perhaps now would be a good time to find other dragons, and start learning.

Linah sighed puffing out a cloud of smoke once she finished off her dinner and had actually piled up the bones in a corner to scrap etc she liked to make bone disc beads and such. Stretching a bit as she walked out onto the huge ledge that extended from the cave entrance and flicked her tail around, her ears having picked up on the sound and she tilted her head in a mildly curious manner. She'd never heard a sound like that before, taking flight she began to heard towards the source of that noise. Though what prompted her to do that she would never know at the moment. It didn't take her too long to cover the length of the volcanic isle as she flapped those powerful wings at a steady pace before looking around as the sound had died away. She almost seemed annoyed as she circled for a moment or two before finally coming down on a plateau that was totally shiny and covered in pieces of a red stone.

She breathed out softly spotting a shiny white blur for a moment before shaking her head as the sun's glare was shielded away by her wing holding one up high enough to shade her head. Her eyes examining the white dragon, oh..she hadn't seen one of that color before. Her normally crafty wary nature was still asleep since she had returned home after many a year of being away and sleeping upon her arrival back. She had no longer felt the need for such hide and seek behavior as surely no hunters would follow her here. Snorting through her nose for a moment before looking away back towards her cave, shaking her head a bit at the scent he was putting off before stretching her wings out as she began to cross the plateau walking away from him. She needed to exercise her body at any rate, she had too much built up energy and that was a little dangerous.

Kalira, however, found the sounds of the emergence of both dragons to be rather annoying to her. She frowned from her ledge as she watched the female fly off the second time then looked down at the male and considered him for a moment.

Something felt off about him to her and she didn't like it. She gave a heavy sigh as she got to her feet and shook herself a bit before spreading her wings and dropped off the ledge to glide in lazy circles down closer to him so that she could see him better.

She didn't land just yet, just got a better look at him for a long moment. But she did eventually land at a good distance from him, folding her wings against her back as she continued to look him over with an unsure gaze, not sure if she should even speak to him just yet.

It seemed that two dragons had come to see the noise he made, yet the white dragon slowly rose to his feet and approached them at a slow pace, signifying he wasn't looking for a fight nor trouble. He sat a good deal of distance from them, his head tilting to the side as his brilliant eyes studied both of them. Red scales, all smoke and fire and fury... Definately Kane's type, though he didn't want to judge someone too harshly just by lineage and color. His face was solemn and he slapped his tail on the ground, the same shimmering echo sounding out that the giant ruby made when he exited it. He was trying to get their attention, hopefully strike up conversation.

"Hello to the both of you!" He called out. His voice was soft yet firm, easily seeming to drown out the noise of the environment. His tail curled around him as he waited for a reply, erring on the side of caution lest one or both of them felt provoked to fight. Without the protection of his father the young dragon knew he wouldn't even have a shadow of a hope to survive an onslaught.

Linah seemed to pause in her striding pacing of the plateau and turned to look back towards the other two, one red female and the white male. She felt more at ease when the other red joined them on the plateau as she shook her head a bit before stretching her wings slightly flapping them a few times before settling them back against her back as she slapped the horned tailed against the ground. Causing it to shake only a bit from the vibrations of the hit, "Ava'yorn" came the reply, a hello in her own draconian tongue. She paused herself before turning her head away, she wasn't so use to speaking in the mortal tongue. Puffing out some smoke from her mouth as if in a display of mild frustration, "Hello." she said trying that greeting one more time.

She dug her claws lightly across the dirt before settling down there in a rather sunny very heated spot and curled down with a gentle puff of air from her nose. She was regarding the other two in an intense stare with those silver colored irises.

Sorry about that, didn't mean to leave you out, just missed the return...

Kalira shook her head at the noise he made then looked off in the distance where the other female had flown off then looked back at him cautiously, "It seems that one didn't stick around to talk," she told him simply, her voice as hot as the lava that surrounded them and just as seductively deadly.

She looked him over again and noted that he was young, very young. She gave a huff and a bit of smoke escaped her nostrils to dissipate into the air around her, "You make alot of noise, young one... Especially when silence is usually best..." she added, still trying to figure out what his angle was.

She was understandably cautious with him. She'd been chased through the air a great many times in the past but had outflown them all. A great many of those had been younger males who thought youth meant speed and cunning, the idiots...

Then the other female came back and made even more noise, making her give an annoyed sound accompanied by more smoke, "You came back. Good. Maybe you two can figure out how to be quiet together," she said with a soft growl and turned from them both with the intention of going right back to her ledge and her interrupted nap.

The young dragon shook his head towards Kalira and her comments. "You live in volcanic chasms and ask for silence. Or is it that you simply do not like other sentient species in what you consider your territory?" He asked, looking over at the new arrival of Linah and nodding to her. So far, neither of them were openly hostile but he still stayed cautious. The young dragon slowly got to his and slowly began to walk towards them, crystals from the shattered ruby seeming to roll towards him and collecting to his feet. As he sat back down, a pendant was hanging around his neck. Beautifully crafted, and definately magical.

Linah's eyes widened a smidge before she gave a soft chortling laugh. She didn't seem too put off by the other female's comments, more amused by the feisty snippy way she seemed to put that comment out there with. Tilting her head a bit as she eyed the two of them with an amused look on her face as she seemed to be watching them. She was making little to no noise now seeing as she didn't usually interact with others and the fact was that she'd been asleep for so long she'd almost forgotten how to socialize civilly. It was an oddity that she didn't quite remember, her memories were a little hazy still. Though a mildly curious look came to her expression as she watched the shattered pieces roll about before stopping around his feet.

That seemed to have her attention as she got up and crossed the last paces of space between them a little quickly. Pausing a moment as she seemed to be eyeing the little ruby pieces with curious gazes as if to try to figure out their movement before she sat back on her haunches and stared at him. "your name and lineage?" she was curious about this one, she hadn't seen a white dragon in what felt like many an eon, there was a great white that lived near her when she was a wee wyrmling but that was many many years ago. Though she was still considerably young in dragon age so it wasn't like she was an old geezer much to the thoughts in her own mind. Deep sleeps often muddled the mind and it took a small amount of time to clear it. Her eyes flickered to Kalira with some pouting almost as the other red was leaving. "you no..want to..talk?" She seemed to have an odd way of speaking as if she wasn't sure of her wording.

Kalira gave a low growl at the boy's question and turned to face him just when the other female asked her own question of her, "I don't like socializing. People ask lots of questions, males try to show off how strong and dominant they are, females are always looking over the males, people ask lots of questions... I just try to avoid it as much as possible. Boy's not a threat, so I don't have to socialize," she stated as simply as possible.

She turned her gaze to the 'boy' in question, "I don't like being woken up by a bunch of noise. That's all. Yes, I generally stay to myself. Point me to a fight and I'm there, otherwise just leave me be. Simple," she told him in even simpler language, knowing they'd both be able to understand it that way.

Then she turned with an annoyed flick of her tail and took off with a few wingbeats as she moved through the sky until she was high enough to land on her ledge where she curled up again.

Arden watched the grumpy female fly away, not bothering to chase her or stop her. She didn't seem big on talk or friendliness, but the other dragon seemed more than willing to engage in bis questions. Turning to face her, he bowed his head respectfully to her question. " I am Arden Lung, son of Lao Shan Lung and Ebony ShadowScale. That is my lineage." His tail was saying behind him, and the ruby fragments chimed softly to each swing of his tail, like a pendulum or metronome. "To whom am I speaking with? "
