Some of our characters seem to have gone rogue in their time here on Tendaji and need to be reigned in with an owner all for themselves.

Adoption Process
|| Specific rules and processes for both official adopts and un-official adopts are listed in the following two posts. Generally speaking, adoptables work similar to quests. You will have to have an official quest to start pursuing your adoptable!
|| Before questing for said adoptable you must first apply with an outline of your idea for the character and reply to a short prompt! When the closing date arrives staff will then assign the adoptables to their future owners. You may apply for more than one adoptable at a time and staff will choose winners accordingly! ((This does not typically mean you can win more than one however!))
|| Those chosen then must start an official quest for said adoptable.
|| Once started, the staff will look it over, ask questions, and help fine tune the character with you.
|| If the character is seen to be satisfactory, then congrats! You're approved and you'll be able to keep your newest character all for yourself.
|| Once approved, you'll be given a journal and can start playing!
Rules and Regulations
Now there are some rules when applying for adoptables.
|| You can only apply for one adoptable at a time. This includes official adoptions and player-made adoptions.
|| You must have an open character slot to apply for an adoptable.
|| Official adoptables do not open during Meta chapters. The Meta will have to end before any new official adopts will be released. (does not apply to player-made adoptions)
|| Official adoptions are clean slates. They can have any name, personality, etc you want. If you would like to know what the previous information on the character was, feel free to ask!
|| All adoptables can only be held for one month. If there is no response to critique, or if they have not left UC status after one month, the adoptable goes back to available.
||This includes RP activity with the adoptable. If there is no journal / nothing done with the adoptable within a month of being officially approved then we have the right to rehome the adoptable.
|| You cannot RP with an adoptable before they are approved by staff and a journal is created. If you do, your application for the character will be removed.
|| Do NOT post in this thread. Forms should be PMed to Suhuba, the chosen applications then should be turned into a quest thread, and questions can be PMed, posted in FAQ, or in the main thread.

Official Adoptions
Official adoptions are rehomed and back stocked characters. We like to see our characters be used and it breaks our hearts for them to be sitting around in our folders collecting dust.
Availability
|| We release adoptables randomly throughout the year (except when there is an official event going on).
|| We will start a thread in the quest forum with the requirements for applying and where applications should be dropped.
|| Owners will be able to apply for the adoptable for several days after announcing the new arrivals. After the closing date, we will judge applications and pick one winner. This winner will be able to claim the adoptable and continue with making an official quest that will be critiqued by the staff until approved.
|| Official adoptions come with a price. The art is already completed and ready to go, so while it's not as expensive as a custom, the price is 250mil. We like to think that this limits applications to dedicated owners.
|| The price will not be collected until an owner has been announced, but will not be returned if you fail to set up their journal/complete their quest.
|| Owners can only claim one adoptable every 6 weeks. (This timer starts from when their adoptable quest was officially approved.)
|| Owners will have one month to complete the critiquing process. This means that you will have one month to set up the character's quest, get it critiqued, and approved. If the character has not been completed within one month, then the character will go back into the adoptable process.
|| If one month has passed after the approval of an official adoptable and the owner has not completed their journal set-up, the adoptable will be removed and put back into the adoption rotation.

|| Owners will be able to apply for the adoptable until May 26th. On May 27th the applications will be closed and no longer accepted. A winner will be chosen from the profile skeleton and prompt. This winner will be able to claim the adoptable and continue with making an official quest that will be critiqued by the staff until approved.

Player-Made Adoptions
Have inspiration for a character that you really just don't have time to play? Maybe your own character has family members or friends that are important to his/her story. Here, you may put up ideas for other people to claim.
|| If you want to claim one of the characters in this thread, simply start a quest thread for them. The character's original creator will need to give approval along with a member of Tendaji's staff in order for your quest to be approved.
|| Player-made adopts, like customs, must have art for 1 month before they can grow.
|| Only one person can apply for a particular player-made adoptable at the same time.
|| Player-made adoptables can only be held for one month. If there is no response to critique, or if they have not left UC status after one month, the adoptable goes back to available (and the previous quester will have to wait 2 weeks before they can try again for the same adopt.
|| The rest of the rules for adoptions are in the first post.
|| If you have a character that you want to put up for adoption, simply PM Suhuba with the following form. You may fill out as much or as little of it as you see fit, leaving parts up to whoever claims the character:

[b]Clothing:[/b] [Younglings do not have clothes, but you will have a say in what clothes your custom wears in further stages. It can be just about anything, but keep in mind the setting. Most "old world" clothing has disintegrated and is long gone. Clothes are made primarily from resources gathered from plants and animals in your character's region, but wealthy or adventurous characters may have different clothing, especially at later stages.]

Description: Votzhem and Ruelash (and Jawaad) are blood-kin, so feel free to draw from their appearance.

Accessories: Their mother makes accessories and so they can have anything Zena-like at any level of intricacy.
History:
Heres a little starter to get this history going. You get to take on the rest!
Lakshmi was an Alkidike, and Vennan loved her very much, enough to marry and to agree to a child with her. But when Lakshmi returned from the Isles bearing a baby hybrid boy in her arms, Vennan withdrew a little. She loved the little boy – Votzhem – and she tried to raise him, but her fear about how his being a hybrid would effect his life drew her away.
Lakshmi was happy to take on more of the parenting duties, and their relationship remained stable. When Votzhem went off to join the Alkdike tribe, Vennan was beside herself with worry. Eventually, though, as it became clear that he was not going to perish at their hands, she calmed down.
Her and Lakshmi's life normalized and was good, if a little lonely without their son. But Lakshmi, a forester, was frequently out in the forest and Vennan, alone in their house now, soon began to desire more social interaction than before. Although quiet and reserved, she began to open up to others.
One day, she realized she was pregnant. For obvious reasons, it was not Lakshmi's, but Laki accepted the child when they were born and has been helping to raise them ever since.
Lakshmi does not know the father. Votzhem does not know that he has a little sibling. Vennan knows the father: Whether she intentionally cheated on her wife, or was forced to endure an act of terrible violence... whatever produced the child is up to the quester. But she might well love this child a little more than her first born, and will be very loving. Her wife will also be closely involved, and the couple will weather the tension well... or well enough.
This is just a starter, so feel free to add in any details you think are necessary.

Accessories: A bracelet that belonged to Ming'we. It was given to her by her mother.
History: Minjao was the answer to a plea made to Aisha. Her mother was suffering from heartbreak since her daughter had forsaken the Alkidike way and her son went out into the world and never returned. When Minjao was bloomed it made her mother happy and she took her new baby girl to Jauhar to live in a small village. There Minjao grew up with her mother and her grandmother at her side.
When she was old enough to understand she was given a bracelet and told that it had once belonged to her sister, Ming'we. Her mother told her that her sister had been treated badly by extremists and had left the lands of the Alks. She was also told that her brother, Minga, went into the world shortly after and never came back.
