Jasmine grinned and whistled, as PKE would zip back through the air... what answer they may have received from Raven as an answer may soon be rather memorable or not, but the Rotom was back... and as Jasmine would whisper in the Rotom's ear... or... at least where an ear would be, it giggled away, the eggs suddenly flew to its tiny arms as if magnetised, and the Rotom soared away into the sky!

"Burnout?" Jasmine called next, as the Lampent would nod, having already been present to hear what was asked of him, he too would float upward, before the flame inside his dome rumbled, ready to burst, as he span, the housing mechanism for his flame fell below the dome, flame rushing out, the Lampent span in mid-air, trailing the circles of fire as he went!

Finished assembling his tunnel of fire, he span out of it, back aside, firing more and more of his heatwave, feeding the flames until five flaming tunnels stood there, and he would continue to do so until all was complete!

Ironclaw just smirked... she knew she had this one... she'd show that smug Skarmory who was the boss in the skies here!

"Alright, go for it!"

GAME: Ruler of the Roost
OBJECTIVE:
Fly through the rings, grab the egg and return safely as quickly as possible!
RULES:
-Each Skarmory will use their SPD stat as a starting gauge.
-For each ring the pokémon will have to test their Agility. Each ring will slow them down depending on a roll.

FIRST HALF: RACE TO THE EGG!
Roll Odd, your SPD stat falls by one, Roll Even, your SPD stat is not affected:
-Roll a FUMBLE, your SPD stat falls by one AND you must re-roll to attempt again.
-Roll a CRITICAL, your SPD stat rises by one.

SECOND HALF: SAFELY RETRIEVE THE EGG!
Grab the egg, a small target to grab, roll the dice and land beween 5 and 15 to grab the egg! If you miss, -1 SPD, and retry until successful!

Once the egg is grabbed, it's a sprint to the finish, after the egg is grabbed, the end SPD stat is calculated, the Skarmory with the highest SPD stat will be the fastest to return!

"Fine the rules sound pretty cut and dry....Suzaku ..make that bird cry."

Nakano would declare as her partner nods once to her. SHe was her .....partner pokemon afterall ..the first in her group as the pokemon would walk to the starting line. She didn't have anything else to say ...this was a race afterall. She would position herself then as she open and closed her wings a few times ...speed was on the other pokemon's side, but this was a long race and can be won by anyone as she waited for some shout of something to start.

Eclipse would sigh ..she was finally done. She wasn't going to complain, she was happy about the sudden release ...from duty for a moment as Carrot was standing on his paws waving at her.

Eclipse didn't think she wanted to find out which one of the two pokemon he was cheering for as they all waited for the start to go.

Metal blades slimmed and formed, feathered wings unfolded and fanned out as all of Ironclaw's body seemed to shift and shape into as streamlined a body she could force her metal feathers to assume.

She was stronger, faster... but by how much, she did not know, nor would she question, she simply had to keep her eyes focused on the prize, through those flaming rings turned and flickered and leapt at her, but now, as she took her first step, she leapt and pushed down with all her might, firing up like a metal rocket, she was looking to take that first ring in a single flap!!

That first flap was fast, but it caused a drag as finally Ironclaw was airborne, set forward and ready, she set sights forward, eyes focused through her goggles dead ahead through the flame, wings fully deployed now and her body swinging, she set herself to the updraft from the heat, and kept going.

Getting in the air was one thing, staying inside the rings was the new challenge!

Jasmine watched on with bated breath, this was all in Ironclaw's realm now in the sky... and not just that, it would need to be when Suzaku went through the ring as well... Ironclaw had an edge, but it was hard to say how the rings would complicate things now... she'd grip her crutch tightly, watching on...

Even if it was only a 'friendly' contest, Jasmine well knew the results would certainly not be held so!

The currents were tough, the updrafts only made it harder to control flying through the rings, Ironclaw was feeling the pull on her wings, pushing her body round and spiralling through the flames, the glint reflected off her silver hide. Every ember shone a sparkle over her as she focused ahead, using her goggles like a blinder, trying to keep that as the point ahead, not daring look back to see if Suzaku was behind her or catching up!!

More and more the fire pushed... it certainly did no Skarmory a favor to be among the flame, but she kept at it, almost trailing the fiery contrails behind her now as she pulled them behind her. If she had pores instead of steel plates she would have been sweating now, but she had to push that past, feel the current, keep going!

There!

She had it now... she was settled, but it had certainly cost a little time finding her groove and Ironclaw just had to hope it didn't cost her, there was the final ring before her, and beyond it, the tiny Rotom waving eagerly with eggs in ready position to be taken!

She took a second to relax herself... and then thrust forward, with one final determined boost, she would seek to push through the fifth ring and out into the open!

There! The Skarmory exploded out of the final ring, and now she was out in the air, soaring toward the Rotom, she turned and twirled in the air, setting herself ready and sights upon the target... it didn't help the electric type kept giggling and waving madly the eggs in the air, a small target was one thing... A small MOVING target another!

Well, claws opened out from underneath her, talons bared ready, and now, set on her goal, keen eyes peering beyond the pink goggles, she threw herself to her target, ready to deploy her plates as a windbrake and pull away at the last moment!

All she needed to do was grab it and then she would be home free!

Too far!! Talons snatched and Ironclaw whipped her head backward to see the Rotom fast vanishing behind her, the egg still in arm and most certainly not in her own talons!

A hiss escaped her beak, she'd wanted to get it first time... but maybe she could fake it... whirling around like a loop... yes... maybe it was better this way, catch it on the way back down!

She set herself, trying not to let anything break her visage of calm and concentration, her talons at the ready once more... this time she wouldn't throw herself off, she'd move and keep moving, ready to grab that egg as she flew past!

It really was interesting as she would take up into the air ...as she flap her wings swiftly. She would push off from the ground with her full force as she would soar for a moment into the sky. The sky felt nice, it was rare that she got to enjoy it as she started seeing her opponent already had the advantage in speed. Though she had every plan of catching that up.

Here take off was perfect, and as she came to the first ring she would drop her flight a bit. She needed to go through the ring of fire without losing any speed ...so she would tuck her wings in tight as she drifted a bit upwards before she dove downwards. She would gain speed as long as she let her wings be used to make slight adjustments instead of her trying to open them fully ...it will also make her more compact and able to go through as she came from one ring and had to adjust her wings to make sure she was aiming for the second.

Her wings opening to allow her to glide ...as she would turn down her tail feathers to catch an updrift and help guide her back upwards.

It was close ..so close that one ..as she would open her wings full as she felt the gust underneath her wings. She needed to rise again to catch the next ring and not over shoot it, and she would angle her tail feather down to ride it back up again. She didn't need to lose speed ...but she needed to make the ring, so she had to sacrifice something.

It wasn't a doubt in her mind which as she aim upwards once more her wings stayed up slowing her, but at the same time bring her upwards rapidly until she was at the height to dive again.

She had managed it ..at a close to her speed, but now she had the wind to her back again and her full speed once more as she hurl towards the forth ring of fire. She had cut the last one really close ...because she wanted to angle this right. She would go through one flaming hope and though the next, and if she did this right ....it would be without having to do much more than flick her tail feathers. Her wings were pulled in tightly to her ...so tight that she resemble more of a bullet than a bird at that moment as she aim for her target once more.

There was one final ring to go before she went for the big grab, and there though she was worried about how much faster the other Skarmory was ...she knew she just needed to concentrate on getting though this. If she can make it through the last ring ...all that would be left if the grab and blue skies. She can out fly anyone in the sky, and she hoped that this time would be no different as she came closer and closer to the ring.

Adjustment ...her tails feathers would fan once ...as she rocketed through. She would only open her wings once she was out ....and not only that, but something that had remain tightly tuck ...her claws.

One wing ...released fully and the other would dip a bit lower ...as she turned on her wings tips with her claws out. The sky was beautiful without the sight of flames and she saw her target below her ...as she did a wing over and dove for it. She needed to be quick, she could see that her opponent was having problems getting her prize, so if she could manage it.

She could maybe take this race or at the very least tie it ......and she almost smiled as she went after her prize ..hoping for one final success to her wing it to the finish.
