Growth Solo: Preparing for Travel

(( Gyuri has been loyal to Eira and her troupe since he first met the dancer and was hired on by her. He followed her all over the place, kept everyone safe, and dedicated himself until the point where everything was running smoothly and continuing to grow as Eira wants it to. Now is the time he feels for him to do something for himself, that being a bit of travel. He wants to go out, stretch his legs, and otherwise try to do things for him. He plans on what he has to do before he heads out, wanting to make sure the inn is kept safe while he is out and about in the world. ))

It was one of those things that he'd considered doing for some time, the idea of leaving the inn so that he could travel a bit on his own. He'd been with Eira and her group for a long time, ever since she'd hired him on while he was still just a prentice, and because of her there had been a lot that he was able to do. He was able to go traveling, had helped out during one of the wars, had looked after Eira, Sin'qua, Borra, and Makani for a long time and then Eira's son as well once he was born. He was proud of all that he'd done about the 'guardian' of the troupe even up to the very moment that he was standing on the porch of the inn at present.

His life had revolved around the members of the troupe for a long time and then revolved around keeping the inn safe from those that might want to bother the residents and the guests. As for things that were personal to him though, that was where he found that he was a bit lacking. He didn't get out much because he was always thinking about what he could do for the inn and what those who lived there might need. He might need it though, to get out and about, to stretch his legs, to do things for himself, and to see more of the world then just the grounds of the inn. Even if it was just starting out by visiting the nearby towns like Isd in Tale or Dernd in Sauti, maybe he could go home to Zena for a while to visit his parents, or just wander and see what he could see.

The world was a big place and he felt that he wanted to be a part of it. He'd been at the inn for a long time and before that only with Eira's troupe, he loved everyone who was a part of it but he wanted to do more. He needed some time to himself before he came back to the inn, possibly for good, possibly not. He supposed that what he did going forward sort of relied on what happened while he was out on his journey he supposed. There were a lot of things that a man wanted to do and it would be nice to go somewhere because he wanted to and not just because some grand event was calling people forth like meetings with the Elders of the tribes or because of something akin to the Grand Market.

It wasn't so easy as just packing up a bag and heading out though was it? He was the guardian of the inn after all, the one that made decision as far as tossing people out went, and he was the one that stood between any dangers and those of the inn that couldn't fight. The troupe had two magic users it in, sure, but he didn't think that they had the same sort of imposing look that he did. Not to mention that one of them was blind, meaning he wouldn't ward people off just by looking at him. If anything knowing that he was blind, even if he was far from weak, might embolden any possible dangers. He couldn't leave the inn alone.

Before he was able to go on a trip he really did need to see about finding new guardians for the inn. He wasn't sure if one man could pick up all the tasks that he did so easily and definitely not straight away so maybe he could find two or three to come work for the inn? It would mean a lot more eyes helping to keep an eye out for possible danger as well and it might in fact be better for the inn then just having one person looking after it. They would need to be qualified of course, as well as worthy of trust, and not people that would bother Eira because of being... well, Eira. There was so much to love about Eira and he didn't want to risk hiring on people that would fall for her at a glance and make poor bodyguards.

It would be difficult to find the right people but once he did then he would be able to pack up and head out on his trip. Now the question became where to look for those that might be able to help him out by taking over his job and guarding the inn. There were hunters that came to visit a lot, those who were fans of Eira, and he felt that they might actually be a good group to talk with. They already had work, that of hunters providing for their villages or their families, but they would know about up coming people that were still looking for work. Those were the sort that would be perfect because they would be willing to work hard to prove themselves.

Just like when Gyuri was young and wanted nothing more then to prove himself by working himself to the bone for the troupe there was a chance that there would be others like the old him. There would be those that wanted to do as he did, those would be happy to keep the inn safe and get to enjoy the free room and board and meals that one got as a member of the troupe. Gyuri found himself wondering how long it might take to find the right people. He wouldn't rush or anything, he wanted to continue to do what was best for those in the inn until his trip began after all.

Pushing away from the wall that he was leaning on he headed into the inn. It was likely that some hunters would be in within the next day or so, he would talk with them then. Until then he would see about sitting down with Eira to discuss what he was planning. From there he would talk with the hunters, interview some new hires, and once everything was done he would let the rest of the troupe know what he was doing. From there he'd head out, possibly toward home as his first stop, and decide from there which direction he wanted to go. With this plan in mind he moved to get back to work, not about to slack off just because he meant to head out in the near future.
