Early Morning Hunting

"...and that is why I figured that you would do best at this particular task." The end of a rather long winded speech about why he should be more then happy to follow along after his father, hitched to a sled without any sort of complaint. Gyuri looked over his shoulder to study the sled, one that would be loaded down with the various kills of the day, then back to his father once more but said nothing. He knew that he was one of few in the village that could do such a thing on his own, he was but a prentice but he was already bigger then all of them after all, but it didn't mean that he liked to be used as what amounted to a pack animal. Still, he didn't really protest against what it was that he was being forced to do. Instead he merely nodded his head and continued along after his father, dragging the sled along behind him. Gyuri wasn't really the protesting sort... but then again he really wasn't the talking sort either. If anything he was the sort that actually was pretty well like the beasts of burden that he was replacing at the moment. He was big, he was quiet, and he followed the various orders given to him even if he wasn't that big a fan of them.

The morning was rather cold, the sort of morning that had his breath coming out in a fog, and nobody seemed to be out yet other then himself and his father, which made things all that much quieter. His father was walking ahead of him, spear in hand, following after a trail that only the man could see, and Gyuri moved to keep up with him best that he could. This was all stuff that he should be taking in, should be learning, he was going to be a hunter one day after all or so his father had told him time and again. It wasn't exactly what he wanted to do, what he wanted to do was travel so that he would be able to one day see the lands that his mother had hailed from, but his father thought such things silly. Why should he travel to distant lands, a journey that would be dangerous, when he was needed here, at home, aiding in the hunting. It wasn't as though there weren't plenty of prentices in the village though that were likely eager to become a part of the hunting parties, but Gyuri had yet to protest. He didn't want to be a hunter but that didn't quite matter, did it? He was supposed to do as he was told, follow his father's orders, be a good son, but still, if he had a voice he would ask to be allowed to follow his own path. The problem was that he didn't, nor did he want to disappoint his parents, no, he wanted to be the good son since he was their only son.

"Keep up, Gyuri, if you are ever going to become a hunter you need to get your head out of the clouds and focus on what is in front of you." Came a voice, cutting through his thoughts, and Gyuri turned his mismatched gaze to his father, then down to the ground, taking in the foot prints there. Now that they were pointed out he could see them but earlier, he was sure there were signs that only a veteran was able to spot. He starred down at the tracks then gave a nod of his head, knowing what they were, they were Raoti tracks, and a decent number of them at that. So if they were to follow these tracks they would be able to load the wagon with a good amount of meat he thought to himself, provided of course that his father was able to take down a good number of them... not that he'd ever seen his father fail to do just that. It was likely a good thing that they had the sled today, even if having to drag it around like a Mammu was a bit embarrassing. Better then having to sling it over his shoulders and carry it home like a pack animal he thought to himself, something he'd done in the past.

Gyuri supposed should be happy that the man had gone out of his way to get them a sled for this particular venture. If nothing else at least when he became a hunter he could make someone else do this part of the work, other prentice perhaps, instead of both having to hunt and having to drag the sled. At least that was his plan. If he was stuck being the hunter that his father was determined to make him at least he would try to do it his own way. If his father was able to get him to help out as a prentice then maybe he'd be able to do the same thing? Surely there would be others in the village eager to help out by pulling a sled for a fully fledged hunter he thought to himself though he knew that was still some time off. It took time to gain the skills needed to become a hunter, something he heard from his father quite often, and it took even longer before the tribe allowed a prentice to have a weapon. So there was still a lot of time between now, when he was the beast of burden, and then, when he got to be the hunter and put others in charge of the sled. That or, if he was lucky and the Goddess smiled upon him, he would be able to find a way to follow any other path but that of a hunter. As it was though that wasn't something he was going to put too much thought into. If something happened to help him out, good, if not... well, he supposed that he would figure out a way to enjoy being a hunter who was unable to leave Zena do to the need to track animals day in and day out.

Glancing over at his father he opened his mouth, about to ask whether or not the man missed traveling, surely he'd done a lot of it if he were married to a Shifter from a far away land after all. Before he could do so though the man lifted a hand, motioning for Gyuri to stop, then made another motion to tell him to get down. Instantly he was crouching low as the man crept forward, preparing to strike, it seemed as though they had caught up with potential prey. He supposed that meant that he would need to wait for another opening to try to talk with the man, for now it was hunting time.

A Lost Capramel

It was the strangest sort of bleating sound that drew Gyuri away from what he was doing at the time, that being the dull job that was following the trap line. He had never heard the sound before which made it all together more curious. Was it some strange, new sort of Raoti? While he was sure that it was possible he highly doubted that was the case, if it were a new sort of animal he would have seen one by now or his father would have caught one during one of his hunts. There was no way that a family of hunters was going to completely miss out on a whole new species. So yeah, surely not, on top of the fact that he wouldn't have missed something like that there was also the issues about how it didn't sound quite right. He knew the sound a Raoti made, it was far different from this deeper, more baritone call. What it was exactly that he was tracking was beyond him but he supposed that he would see soon enough. He just hoped that it was worth it since his father wouldn't be too pleased were to find out that Gyuri had wandered away from his chores for no good reason. If there was at least something interesting going on that would probably help his cause a bit and might keep him from getting more chores stacked on top of what he already had to do in a day.

Climbing up a slick snow bank the big guy used the higher vantage point to look around from side to side, trying to pinpoint exactly where the sound was coming from. It took a bit but when he finally spotted his quarry he couldn't help but to stare. What in the world was that? He started to trudge in the direction of the oddly shaped, oddly colored creature with the twisted horns. It was most certainly something that he had never seen before but given that it was alone he highly doubted it was the part of a new species that was taking up residence in Zena. If anything he'd almost say that it was... lost? On top of being lost it also seemed as though it had gotten itself stuck, never a good thing. As he got closer he lifted his hands in a manner that he hoped would show that he wasn't here to harm the creature before he set to work digging around it's trapped leg. The creature seemed calm enough, making him wondering if it were tame, though that made him also wonder if perhaps the creature's owner was lost somewhere in the area as well. Was it possible? They might also be stuck... but given he heard no cries save for that of this beast he wasn't able to say for certain one way or the other.

As he got to the bottom of the creature's leg, finding that it's hoof was stuck between some rocks, he set to prying them apart and soon enough the creature was pulling its leg free from the hole. It didn't seem as though the creature's first instinct was to run, instead it merely stood there, starring up at Gyuri with a dopey look in its eyes making him wonder what, if anything, was going behind those eyes. He would almost say no. As cute as the creature appeared it seemed a bit slow witted which made him wonder if he should tend to it, make sure that it was kept safe, and maybe find it something to eat, "Come on." He said, the first thing he'd said to the creature, as he reached out to take a hold of one of his horns in a gentle hold and led it back in the direction that he'd come from, back to where the sled was waiting for him. He found himself considering the uses of this creature from the most basic ones, that being just making it into a meal, to far more useful ones like putting it in charge of pulling the sled. It wouldn't work today, he had no tack with him after all, but what he could do was get out a coil of rope, tie it loosely around the beast's neck, and tie the beast to the sled. At least that way it wouldn't try to wander off and get stuck in another hole he thought to himself.

Gyuri was quick to fetch the rope from one of the packs on the sled, trying one end to the sled itself and then the other around the creature's neck. It was a loose enough loop that it wouldn't be able to strangle itself without a lot of effort but not so loose that it would come off over the big set of horns that it had, "There." He murmured, patting the creature on the head, before he moved to attach himself to the sled so that he could continue along down the trap line, occasionally glancing back at the beast that just seemed to be content with trudging along behind him, not minding that they stopped every ten feet to check traps, empty some, reset others, and then continued on. It was as though the slow going, menial task was one that the beast rather liked because. It probably helped that the creature really had to do little but walk from time to time, making him wonder if the thing had gotten a blow to the head while it was young. It seemed so... derpy he thought to himself, giving a bit of a smile before they continued on once more.

The rest of the morning was basically that on repeat until the baskets on the sled were filled with various creatures that needed to be taken back home and dealt with. A lot of skinning would be involved, the curing of the hides, bringing the meat to his mother to deal with, and so on and so forth. It was how he spent a lot of his time so at least he had gotten good at what he did... but he felt that he would be able to get more efficient if he was able to keep this beast and train it to drag the sled for him. He would be able to do much better work, not to mention that it would just feel nice to have company while he was checking the trap lines, even if the company didn't seem as though it was all there. He glanced over at the curly horned beast before giving a smile, patting it on the head, "I like you no matter what." Even if the creature was a bit dull witted it was still cute he thought to himself. Now all he had to do was convince his parents to let him keep a strange animal he found in the wild as a pet instead of making it into dinner. It should be, challenging to say the least.

Chatting with Mother

"You look like you're thinking rather hard about something, Gyuri." Came the rather melodic voice of his mother, a petite Shifter woman who was currently in her silvery phase making her nearly glow in the light of the fire that was burning in the fire place. It really was a miraculous thing, that someone so small had given life to someone as massive as Gyuri. The prentice looked so different compared to her both in size and color at the moment having never shifted before in his life. He was born in the darker color phase and stayed locked in it, likely due to his Ice Tribe blood. Regardless of his looks though he was his mother son, doted upon, even though he was so different from her. The woman drifted over to where he was sitting at the moment, settling down next to him on the plush Mammu fur that covered the floor, and looked up at him, "You know that whatever it is you can tell me, right? No secrets from your mother now." She said, hoping to get him to speak up about whatever had him looking so pensive.

There was a long, drawn out silence from the big man before he turned to looked over at his mother, then gave a bit of a sighing sound, "Ahhh... I think I am in love." He murmured, his cheeks darkening as he turned back to look into the fire once more. He looked as though he was quite embarrassed by admitting to such a thing but he'd been thinking about it since he'd first met Borra and that was all that it could be, it was love, right? The way that his heart had skipped a bit when he was near Borra, the way his heart raced when Borra had hugged him, and the way that he wanted to do nothing more then to listen to him talk. Now that he knew he was in love though, head over heels love, with a man, what was he to do? Surely his father wouldn't be pleased with such a thing, if he fell for a man there was no way that he would be able to give them grand children after all. So what was it that he should do at this point? Perhaps he should try to deny what he was feeling? That wouldn't work though, would it? He would be traveling with Borra after all if he was able to become a part of the troupe.

Augh... that was another thing he had to tell his mother, wasn't it? On top of that it was another thing that his father would likely be displeased with. The man had always been so certain that Gyuri would grow up into the sort of son that he wanted. It wasn't that the man was disappointed with him per say, more that he was confused by him. Gyuri had never talked much though he was perfectly able to talk, in turn that made it so that he wasn't much of a salesman. He had been able to find him a good place in the family trade by having him fetch and carry a lot of the time but being a good pack animal would make up for what he couldn't do? He found himself fretting a bit more then ever now, wondering if all of the things that he really wanted to do were things that he just shouldn't do? Should he put aside selfish desire and instead follow the path that his father wanted him to follow? Wouldn't that mean going back on his word to Eira?

Lifting his hands he ran them through his hands, tugging on it a little in frustration, "I... got a job offer too..." He finally said, able to get those words out as well, knowing that his mother was still waiting for him to elaborate on the mention of him being in love but since it wasn't the only thing weighing on his mind he felt that he should really lay it all out there for her to see and maybe she would have the answer? She was a wise woman, one he felt that he could trust with everything that he was mulling over, and in turn maybe he could get some help from her.

There was a moment of silence from the woman before she reached out, taking Gyuri's hands in her much smaller ones, giving them a squeeze before she gave him a smile, "A lot is on your mind then, hm? How about you tell me about those things, Gyuri, start with the love thing since that is most interesting to me. What is she like? Is she an Ice Tribeswoman?" She asked in a curious manner, wondering if it was the one that her husband had described to her, the one that had helped Gyuri to sell things in the market before asking to 'borrow' Gyuri so he could play the part of her escort. From what she gathered the woman was lovely and her husband was hopeful... but given the look on Gyuri's face she somehow doubted it was her. No, so who then? The woman's friend, perhaps?

Gyuri ducked his head, giving it a vigorous shake, "No... Eira... has a troupe, wants me to guard it..." He murmured, half wishing that she was the one that he had fallen for if only because he felt that it would have been a lot easier to deal with then. A woman like that, she was the sort parents would be proud to see their son end up with, "I... with... B-Borra... I... and he..." He shook his head, seeming to choke on the words that he was trying so desperate to say, wanting to explain it to her, to make her understand. It hadn't been on purpose! He hadn't gone out that day with such an agenda it just... happened.

The woman was starring up at him, her eyes a bit wide, looking more then a little surprised at the moment. So it wasn't the woman, she was just a potential boss... instead it was a... he? Her son had fallen for a he? A guy? One named Borra it would seem. She wasn't really sure what to say about the matter, not having ever considered that such a thing might happen. Moving closer she wrapped her arms around her son best she could, pulling him in for a hug, "Shhh, relax now my sweet Gyuri, we will get everything figured out, even how we are going to go about telling your father." She soothed him, knowing very well that her husband would be quite troubled by this odd turn of events. Not only was their son being drawn away by a much different job opportunity but he had fallen for someone of the same gender. It seemed quite complicated to say the least but that didn't mean that she would abandon her son. She would continue to love him, to protect him, and to aid him just as she always had. In fact she might be needed even more while he fought with all of these new issues. While he might look like a big brute he was still a young man, a prentice at that, and needed much in the way of guidance.

"How about you go and lay down, Gyuri? A good night's sleep with do you a world of good and perhaps things will appear clearer in the morning." It would also give her time to figure out how to broach this particular issue with her husband she thought to herself, climbing to her feet as Gyuri got to his before she set to herding him toward bed. What a strange, strange night... her son said so few words and yet somehow he shaken things up quite thoroughly with a minimal amount of them. Where things went from here, now that was the question on both their minds now.

Ghosts and Deep Thoughts

After those that he had he saved from the avalanche had headed out, back to the place they were staying at to rest he assumed, leaving him with the Ghost of the Mountain to deal with. After everything else that he had gone through today all he wanted to do was clean up and sleep but it wasn't really in the cards for him. He had to deal with the creature that he had brought home with him, to do anything else would be disrespectful to a creature as rare as the Ghost was. He was the one that brought the Ghost home with him and as such he was the one who would need to do everything else that came after that, sleep would have to wait just a little bit longer. If nothing else at least following his father around, as well as hauling the man's sled so they could follow the trap lines, aided Gyuri in giving him a lot of extra stamina. It was something that would come in handy when it came to keeping him going while he dealt with the work that came with preparing the Ghost's skin.

Heading out the big shed where he and his father worked, as well as where they prepped and tanned in the hides of the beasts that they caught in their traps, he found himself wondering if the Ghost would be enough for what he wanted it for. He had high hopes that with it he would be able to get his father into a good mood so that he would then be able drop various sorts of bad news on him. The news that he wanted to go with Eira and her troupe, the news that he had fallen for Borra, things that his father would never approve of. It was asking a lot of a single skin, rare or not, but really it was sort of all he had at the moment. He had already talked to his mother about what it was that he wanted to do and what he was feeling and even she seemed at a loss for what he should do. If she didn't know how he should react then there was no telling how he could possible deal with his father. The man wouldn't be anything but disappointed and displeased with him, which was really the last thing he wanted. He didn't want to upset the man, didn't want to make him unhappy, that was never his intention, but it just seemed to be how things would end up. All he wanted to do was apologize to the man but it hurt, the idea that he would need to apologize for falling in love.

Surely his father, who had married a Shifter woman from the distant lands of Jauhar must understand that? He knew what it was like to fall in love with someone unexpected... at the same time his mother was still a woman, something that Borra was not. Not to mention that his mother loved his father while Borra was oblivious to how he felt about him. There were many things working against him when it came to his crush, certain that his father would point out all of the reasons that he shouldn't pursue his desires and should instead to a more stable, steady life, the life that the man had laid out before him. It wasn't that it wasn't a good life or one that he was bad at, it just didn't feel right though he doubted highly that telling the man that it 'didn't feel right' wouldn't be the way to go with this problem of his. If anything it would just upset him that much more.

All of his worries started to spiral around distractingly in his head though everything was completely forgotten as a flash of pain that streaked through him that originated in his fingers, one that caused Gyuri to give a little yelp as he lifted them up to inspect them. His index and middle fingers had been cut by the knife he was using to skin the Ghost of the Mountain, not a deep cut but something that still hurt regardless. Grumbling to himself he set the blade down, walking over to a small cabinet that was off to the side of the shed, digging around in it to find the bandages and salves contained within. With those in his good hand he stepped outside, using the ice to clean the wound. Wrinkling his nose at it he opened the herbal scented salve, smearing it over his fingers to help avoid infection, before he then got a bandages to wrap it up tightly, to avoid infection. Once everything had been taken care of, and the supplies were returned to the cabinet, he got himself a glove, pulling that on over everything else to protect his wounded fingers as he continued about his task. The cuts on his fingers, while painful, were also a sort of wake up call for the giant of a man. Worrying about what his father was going to do, what he was going to say, before he'd even gotten home, it was a waste of his time and it put him at risk. He was lucky that it was just his fingers that had gotten cut, if his knife hand had slipped it could have been far worse.

Forcing himself to focus on the task at hand he was once more working with the Ghost and with his mind actually focused on his task he was able to finish up a lot quicker and with far less in the way of screw ups. It was just a shame that it had taken an injury to get that through to him and got him going. He was just finishing up with the skinning process when he heard voices approaching the house, familiar ones, those of his parents. He glanced in that direction, feeling his heart skip a beat, before he shook his head. No, no, he couldn't let himself get distracted, not when he still had work to do. Since the door to the shed was open his parents were bound to know that someone was inside. He was more then certain that after that they would find their way to him. As such he would continue on with his chore even if he wanted to go to them and lay everything on the table, even if the idea of it made his stomach roil a bit at the mere thought of telling his father everything that he needed to tell him.

That Could Have Gone Better

Gyuri's parents appeared at the door to the tent faster then he'd expected, but both of them seemed happy enough to see him, with his tiny Shifter mother hurrying over to him to give him a hug, "Gyuri! Oh! My sweet baby!" She cried, then dragging him down into that much tighter of a hug, making his mismatched eyes go rather wide, "I was so worried after I heard what happened! Are you alright? Did you get hurt? Scratched? Trampled?!" She sounded nearly panicked and it took Gyuri a moment to realize what she was talking about, she'd heard about what he'd done in regards to the Mammu herd and the Ghost of the Mountain, didn't she? The woman starred up at him for a moment before she set to looking him over, searching for any injuries that he might have gotten during the incident. Her hands gave pause at his glove, looking it over, then gave him a worried look, "Did you hurt your hand?"

Lifting a hand up he was about to pat her on the back... then hesitated, holding his hands up to show that they were stained with blood, one of them still protected by the glove. He wanted to hug her, to reassure her that he was fine, but he really couldn't at the moment given that he was a bit of a mess. The fact that she had even been hugging on him in the way that she had worried Gyuri that she would end up getting the Ghost's blood on her clothing, something he felt a bit guilty over. It would appear as though she really didn't care about that as much as she cared about his safety though. What was a dress in comparison to her son after all. Regardless, he didn't want to get her all dirtied up, especially when he was fine. Giving her a smile he said, "I'm fine, Mom." He then lifted his mismatched gaze toward his father he looked for a bit of help from the older hunter, something that caused the man to step forward to aid him.

"Ynina, love, give the boy a bit of space to breath." He said, wrapping an arm around his wife to help to peel the Shifter woman off their son, to give his son a moment. It seemed as though the boy was so wrapped up in his work that maybe he'd forgotten about what had happened prior? Or was it that he didn't want to think about it? If the story that they'd heard was even half right it was probably not something that Gyuri wanted to dwell on, "Tell me, what exactly happened, Gyuri? We heard a story from some members of the village that claimed to have 'seen it all' but I would rather hear your side of it."

"Bazah! There is no reason to hassle him, he's already had a long day!" She said, shaking her head rapidly, not wanting for their son to get all stressed out after everything that he'd been through to this point. She wanted to get her son in the house, to look him over, to get a look at the hand he was hiding with a glove.

With his father demanding answers and his mother fretting over him as though he were a tiny child Gyuri gave a soft sigh, looking over toward the pelt of the Ghost, then back again, "It was... one thing after the other." He murmured, walking over to where the pelt was laying. It still needed to be stretched out and pinned so that it would dry safely, "There was... an avalanche first, then a stampede of Mammu." He murmured, reaching out to pick up the skin, giving it a shake before holding up, "This was what chased the Mammu into the the area." He glanced over at his parents who were starring at the rare skin, knowing full well what it was, both of them looking shocked by what they saw. He understood full well, just imagine what they might have looked like if they had seen it while it was alive he thought to himself.

"The Matriarch and the Ghost, they fought... the Ghost didn't make it and she was roughed up but left with her herd." He explained, laying the skin down, "I helped those buried in the avalanche after the fight then went after the Ghost and... I had to finish it off..." He shook his head, not wanting to think about it, how sad it was that such a rare creature had to be put down. There was no way that it was going to make it though and leaving it to suffer wasn't what he wanted to do. That wasn't what he'd been taught by his father and something he wouldn't allow to go on. He'd done what needed to be done all around, or at least he sure hoped so.

Moving to lay the skin out he gave it a one over, there was still so much that he needed to do with it to make sure that it was perfect when all was said and done. He was moving to prepare to do just that, feeling even more worn out now, more so from all the talking then from everything else that had come before it combined. He was the sort that much preferred to listen to others as opposed to actually getting in on the conversation. As it stood though he knew that he couldn't really not talk about what had happened. If he didn't tell his parents then they were sure to worry over him all that much more knowing that he'd faced off against such dangerous things today. He could only hope that he didn't end up in trouble over all over this, sure he'd run ahead without thought, but people were in trouble and needed him. After that it was just one thing after another, overwhelming him, and keeping him busy.

"And your hand, Gyuri?" Ynina asked of him, taking a step forward to rest her hand on his big arm to get her son's attention. She wouldn't let him get away without explaining that, though her expression went from worried to curious when he flushed. Taking a step closer, reaching out take hold of his hand, and then eased the glove off so that she could inspect his wrapped up wound. After making sure that he had done well in the wrapping of it she looked up at him, waiting for an explanation for what he'd done to hurt his hand, expecting the worst.

Looking down at his hand, which was now free of the protective glove that he'd been wearing to this point, he flexed it a moment before he finally said, "I... Um... I cut it when I was skinning the Ghost... I kind of... got distracted." He starred down at his hand, looking quite embarrassed over having to admit such a thing, more so when his father started to laugh, coming over to clap him on the shoulder.

"A beginner's mistake but given everything else you went through today I can understand why you made it. You will make a good hunter one day yourself. That you even took a Ghost of the Mountain, preparing it yourself even, I am impressed." The man said, moving to look the skin over himself before he looked to carcass, "We should see about processing this as well, given how rare an animal it is we can't let it just go to waste. We will make use of every last piece of it so that we can better honor the animal." He explained to his son and wife, about to move to do just that when he realized that both of them had gone silent. The Ice Tribe hunter blinked a couple times before turning to look over at his son, "What?"

Gyuri looked at his mother, to his father, then down to the skin that he was working with, "I... umm... I... want to... talk to you... I..." He seemed to struggle with the words, having found them so much easier to say when it came to tell his mother, "Eira, you met her, she offered me a job... protecting her troupe. I want to go with her and the others."

Bazah seemed to go utterly silent, starring at his son as though he'd suddenly grown a second headed when he talked about going off to join some troupe. He struggled for a moment with the mere thought of it before he finally shook his head, "I will not let some woman seduce you and lead you away from your calling in life, Gyuri. I don't care if you like her or not, she isn't meant for you and you aren't meant to be some... some circus performer. Today should have shown you what you were meant to do, meant to be, and it's not that!" He told him, voice raising a little.

"Ah... no... I don't like Eira! I mean, not in that way... why does everyone keep assuming that?" He muttered, mostly to himself, "She isn't the one that I like I like... ahh..." He trailed off, his mismatched eyes going wide as he realized what he'd almost said. He turned away, setting to work on the skin once again, trying to busy himself, hoping that his father would drop it... but he wasn't so lucky as that. In fact he could feel the man's eyes on him.

The hunter didn't move, didn't stop starring at his son, and even as his wife tried to distract him by saying that they should finish up here and continue to talk inside he wasn't about to let it go. Instead he asked, "Who, Gyuri? Who is it that you like? Who is she? A woman that will actually cause you to abandon your village to go screw around with some troupe?" He demanded, starring at his son as he started to shift in place, still not saying anything. He blinked a couple times, looking between Gyuri and his wife, both of which looked uncomfortable with the line of questioning and something seemed to click in Bazah's head. The man's eyes went wide, his teeth gritting, before he shook his head, "No. I will be damned if I let you even think about something as foolish as that. You're mistaken and you will put whoever it is out of your mind. That fool idea, the fool idea of leaving home, and you will get back to work as per usual." He said in a tone that said he was more then displeased before he turned on his heel and left the shed.

After watching her currently irate husband as he stalked out of the shed Ynina gave a soft, sighing sound in her throat before she then looked over at her son, giving him what smile she could muster, "Just... give him some time, Gyuri. We couldn't have expected him to take it lightly after all, you are his only son, his only child." She murmured, "How about this, you stay here and work on preparing the skin while I go inside and try to calm him down a little." She told him, patting him on the arm before hurrying after her husband. She couldn't make everything better but she hoped that she could at least calm Bazah enough so that he wouldn't do anything foolish that he might later regret and she hoped the same would go for Gyuri as well.

Gyuri watched them go, sighing a little, before he turned his attention back to the Ghost. He would work on it for a while, get everything prepared, and then he'd see about dealing with the rest of it. Anything to keep from having to go inside until his father had calmed down. He hadn't expected it to go smoothly but he hadn't expected it to go that badly either. Today was just not his day... but at least he'd been able to help out those people earlier, that was what mattered most he thought to himself before he continued his work, doing his best to keep himself distracted while his mother tried to calm his father down at least enough to let Gyuri back in the house.

Protecting the Troupe

Gyuri found himself pacing a bit, deep in thought, as he thought over what he'd just heard. There was a call to arms, word that people were moving to defend the village of Neued from continued aggressions from the Obans, meaning that another battle was soon to break out. What was it that he should do now? Should he see to it that the troupe was moved away from Neued? Should he go into battle to protect those in the troupe from the Obans? From what he'd heard they had actually taken prisoners during the last battle and that was something that worried Gyuri a lot. Taking stock of the troupe he knew that if the Obans got to Neued that they would be in trouble, they were all lookers after all... and them getting captured, it was something that he couldn't allow. Two of them didn't fight at all, one of them was blind, and the last one was still in training as far as magic went, they weren't ready to face off with the Obans... Makani especially.

He didn't mean to point him out specifically but he knew that Makani had a run in with an Oban, not that he'd been aware to begin with. Makani was too good, too kind, and some soldier had taken advantage of that. They couldn't let it happen again, he was too good a person. Not to mention that he was sure that Eira would shriek like an angry mother Kinfa if another Oban got anywhere near her little brother, she was already upset enough by the fact that he had the first run in with them after all. Best that he kept the young mage away from the battle and, if possible, just far from those who could go as far as to take advantage of a blind guy who just wanted to help others. Getting them away from Neued felt as though it was the best plan of action but would any of them go was the question. He knew that they could be quite stubborn, all of them, but if he was able to make them understand that it was for the best... the problem being that he wasn't exactly the most talkative person in the world. It was difficult, if not impossible, to talk people into doing what he wanted them to do when he didn't really talk that much. He preferred to let others do the talking but if it meant protecting the troupe, something that was his job, then he'd do whatever he could.

Taking a pause in his pacing he looked in the direction that he knew the troupe to be in, lifting a hand to scratch it against his beard, before he gave a sighing sound. Best that he went to talk with them now. The sooner the better given that danger was on its way here and it wasn't going to stop just because Gyuri wanted them to. What was most important was getting the troupe somewhere safe but if the need to fight arose, if he ran into an Oban or some Obans on the way then he would deal with them. Flexing his gauntlet clad hands, punching on of them against the other, something that helped to get him hyped up, he started forward toward the rest of the troupe. It was time that they talked and decided what it was that they were going to do, where they were going, and how soon they would be heading out. He didn't care if he had to carry the more stubborn members of the group out they were going to be leaving before the Obans came!
