ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: When it comes to work Eira isn't a fan. She doesn't like the idea of fighting either, that would mean that her perfect self might get scarred up and she will be damned if she let's such a horrible thing happen! As such she is aspiring to follow a path that allows her to avoid things such as fighting, she will leave that to the macho sorts. As such she is thinking about taking up the path of a dancer. It combines her favorite things, staying out of danger and being the center of attention.

Personality: Overall Eira is a girl that is selfish and a bit on the lazy side, ever eager to find prentice boys who are willing to do as she asks by flirting with them and playing the part of the damsel in distress. At the moment she seems to have zero interest in actually picking a boy or settling down but has learned that they can be useful in other ways. Due to the fact that they tend to be a bit dumb around pretty girls she is only too happy to take full advantage of them.

When it comes to her family, at least her father, she is a lot sweeter. She loves the man dearly, as well as her dearly departed mother, and thinks the world of them both, the only problem being that recently he had brought home a halfbreed son that she hadn't known about, not something that has really gone over well with her. She is, at best, tolerating him, but sees the kid at the moment in the worst sort of light. To her he is the 'child of the woman that replaced her mother'. It doesn't really help that he is a halfbreed of the Wind Tribe, something that makes him that much more iffy to her. She seems to much prefer her own people to outsiders, that much is glaringly clear.

Bio: After the death of her mother, something that she and her father both took hard, it ended up being just the two of them for some time. While she missed her mother greatly having her father around helped to ease the pain. He put his efforts into becoming a well respected member of the Ice Tribe as well as a well renowned hunter, wanting to be able to provide for his family. It was something that she couldn't be more proud of, always there to cheer him on when he needed it, to stitch up his wounds when he came back from a hunt a bit roughed up, and various other things. While little she was quite the dutiful daughter, making it seem as though things would go quite smoothly as she grew. The problem being that, as she grew, she realized that she had the power to get other people, guys at least, to do what she wanted them to do with a smile. A skill she was only too happy to hone and use to her advantage.

This so called 'power' seemed to have made her a little less then liked by other females of her tribe but she tends not to like them very much herself so it all worked out. Save for her mother there really hasn't been another woman she has given even a second thought toward that was a kind one. A gender biased that was made even worse when she heard about her father's mistress from another tribe. Other women, in her mind, are just a form of competition when it comes to the affection and attention any guys, causing her to have zero interest in cultivating friendships with other women. Women are of no use to her so she much prefers talking to members of the opposite sex, something that doesn't please her father in the least but he seems to find it difficult to try to scold her. He sees her always as his little girl after all.

When her 'brother' came along, something that threw not Eira but the tribe itself into a but of a tizzy, things seemed to get a bit strained in their home. Right now she seems to spend that much more of her time wandering around the village, plotting about becoming more then just a prentice, and dreaming about when she can get a place of her own so she no longer has to share her space with 'that woman's child'. Her father hopes that Makani will grow on her but for the moment she is being exceptionally hard headed.

~ Eira is a bit of a spoiled girl, the sort that loves it when she can use her looks to get foolish boys to do things for her as well as give gifts to her. She has no plans at the present to settle down but it's fun to keep her options open and there are many in her tribe that are looking to win her hand. Presently the worst thing going for her is the strange, halfbreed boy that her father brought home. It turns out the strangely colored, too quiet, blind boy is actually her half brother that she didn't know about until this point. She is having a bit of trouble adjusting...

~ Eira and her group of trusted friends and troupe members have started to move around a bit, traveling from Zena, across Sauti and Tale, even to Jauhar. They were caught for a while in the war, something that has helped Eira learn a bit of humility as well as how dearly she wants to keep her friends and others around her safe. This is something that will influence her as she moves forward.

~ Eira's plans for her troupe have started to slowly evolve, going from not just wanting to entertain but also wanting to protect and look after others. It was where her new dream, that of an inn, came from. She's found herself some land near to the border between Sauti and Tale, alongside a river, and there she and the others have begun work on their future home.

~ When it comes to her figure Eira is a very vain woman but she's decided that more important then that is having an heir to take over the running of the inn at some point for her. Besides, she can order all manner of salves to help to keep her skin smooth and radiant and seem magical healing as well if she does happen to get a mark.

~ Eira continues to put her all into the inn that she founded. She wants to see it expand, grow, and get even more popular then it already is. It's a dream that she is enjoying watching grow before her very eyes and she means to do anything possible to see it continue forward!

EIRA'S HOME

~ Eira's room in their house is up a level, requiring her to climb a ladder to reach a sort of loft space. It's a nice sort of room, one where she keeps various things she has collected or things given to her, as well as her clothing, a pile of warm furs, and the like. Of late it has been a sort of safe haven for her given that Makani can get up to her room due to his lack of sight and their fathering having forbidden him from climbing the ladder. Not that it seems Makani wants to do anything but hide out in their father's room instead.

~ Her Necklace: It's a heirloom given to her by her mother, a beautiful necklace that her father made for the woman when they first got together. It is something that Eira treasures more then anything else she owns.

EIRA'S FAMILIARS

~ Flurry, a small sprite that came to Eira, is one of few animals that she has much tolerance for. He also has a special pass to come inside the inn whenever he wants because he is small enough. He is only one of very few with this sort of honor which shows how much she loves the little critter.

~ A stalker who just won't leave Eira be. She isn't fond of the way that he won't give her a moment of peace or how big he is. On top of that he is always finding his way into her room even though it's the last place she wants him. Recently though she's decided to get him trained so that he can become a guardian beast for her child when its born. If he's going to hang around he's going to pull his weight.

EARTHLINGS: ICE TRIBE

Although their society does not possess a true aristocracy, the people of the Ice Tribe certainly give off a regal vibe. They live in the mountainous area of Zena, towards the boundary of Sauti, where it is cold and often snowy. Therefore, their clothing is often lined in fur, protecting them, to an extent, from the harsher elements.

These Earthlings have light blue skin. Their hair is usually a darker shade of blue, but can sometimes be mistaken as having a slight tinge or purple, or be dark enough to be considered black. Their eyes range from yellow to amber to gold, but all seem to possess a radiant, almost glowing quality. Like all Earthlings, the Ice Tribe sports crystals. Theirs, however, seem to have an almost rockier quality. They are a dark, bluish purple and can usually be found in bulk around these peoples’ necks, front torso, and inner thighs.

Many (although not all) of the Ice Tribe members consider themselves superior to other Earthlings, especially the nomadic Wind Tribe. Due to the structure of their government, some Ice Tribe members feel that they rule over the Wind Tribe, although their relationship has never degenerated to the level of slavery.

Religion: Like the Wind Tribe, the Ice Tribe worships Bergchi, or “Chi”, the goddess of the mountains. Bergchi is their creator and mother, although not necessarily the highest power in Tendaji. When a person passes on, they meet Bergchi in the next world. Their sacred mountain, far to the east of Zena, is called Mount Xi’i. There, a secluded group of female oracles live, protecting the mountain.

Government: The Wind Tribe of Sauti and the Ice Tribe of Zena share a council-style government. Both tribes have a varying number of council members; however many each group deems worthy of the position. All members of the council sit in on meetings and vote on any matters that come up. The Ice Tribe, however, has a heavier hand, and their decisions are weighed more heavily than those of the Wind Tribe. The nomadic Wind Tribe, however, doesn't seem too discouraged by the arrangement.
