Centuries ago the Organizations founder Giovanni spent millions building a Theme Park with one simple intent, the funding of future Rocket endeavours. Though many things have risen and fallen over the centuries, still the Island stands, and unknown to the public much of it's profits still settle in the coffers of the Organization.

Soon you too will witness this place...one where Pokemon several stories in height room the land.

For now though, you find yourself at a simple dock. Nothing particularly fancy about the place, room for parking, pathways down from the hills to the ocean itself. Only a single boat stops here periodically, a tour boat shaped like a Gyarados; and it is with this sea fairing vessel you shall reach PokeLand.

Ferry Tickets - 10,000

The girl walked down the road, glancing around curiously. Hopefully the dock where the boat that led to PokeLand wasn't too hard to find. There were several docks all over the place leading to various places. At first she hadn't seen it,but a nudge from Sir Aiden led her in the right direction. As she got closer, she saw the boat and had to find her way through the crowd. Seemed like this area was really busy at this time of day. After trying to carefully thread her way through the crowd- which still ended with her being jostled around and pushed- the girl made it to the dock that had the PokeLand boat. Showing her ticket, she then made her way onto the boat. Well the first part of her newest adventure was about to begin. She wondered what kind of things they would have to do on the boat and how long the ride would be.

Sir Aiden had shoved and snapped at people in the crowd. People were just plain rude these days and to shove his trainer who was still in crutches was absolutely ridiculous. The fire dog followed the girl onto the boat, a little hesitantly. They were going to be riding on something that would be rocking and surrounded by water. Not exactly a fun thing to do in the Growlithe's book.

Riku would find herself seated amongst rows upon rows of other visitors to the island, mostly tourists of course. It would seem that despite the problems business was still good for PokeLand...or perhaps they were just so good at hiding it people had yet to notice the rampaging mecha terrorizing the island!

At the front of the boat, standing in front of the door leading to the controls, was a woman dressed in a somewhat cliché uniform. "Hello, and Welcome to PokeLand, the worlds number one theme park for the last several centuries! Much has risen and fallen since the parks founding, but still we stand; forever proving that fun shall always prevail!" The woman declared in an almost annoyingly cheerful voice.

Within a few minutes, and after a significant number of boat safety tips, Riku would be able to see an island off in the distance.

The Gyarados shaped ferry abruptly rocked from side to side, a surprising thing considering the ride had been so smooth before now. Waves would crash into the hull of the boat, as a Gyarados many times larger then the ferry itself breached the surface with a bellowing roar!

People began to panic at the fearsome sight of the beast, but the woman at the front was quick to calm them "Never fear. All the Pokemon in PokeLand are entirely mechanical, and designed not to harm park guests, you have absolutely nothing to..." The boat rocked hard as the tail of the Gyarados slammed into the side of the hull, the creatures eyes turning red...it would seem they had something to fear indeed!

So despite all the problems that the island was having, there were still a lot of people that wanted to go. The place must have been really well known or still is. The girl sat in her seat, listening to the various boat safety rules and then people started panicking. At first the girl hadn't been paying enough attention until she saw the Gyarados. The lady tried to calm some of the other alarmed tourists saying it was harmless and such..but it didn't seem to be working. The large water dragon slammed it's tail into the boat and then everyone really started to panic. The girl couldn't really do anything, could they even consider fighting this creature? No, it would've been impossible. Hopefully the person in control of either the mechanical Gyarados or the one steering the boat would be able to do something before they would be crushed by the giant robot pokemon!

Surprisingly enough, nothing would further happen to the little ferry. The Gyarados would plunge back beneath the depths, and the whole thing would appear as if it were apart of the show. A few minutes further and Riku would find the boat letting them out onto a large, and perhaps a bit painfully elaborate dock.

The crowds would shuffle, and the girl would be forced off the boat by all the motion.

When at last they had parted, she would find herself at a sign board, detailing all the places she might go.

Rides
Gift Shop
Fair Games
Restaurant
Medical Center
Help Desk

The girl was surprised but relieved. The Gyarados left the boat alone and then shortly afterward the boat landed at the dock. Everyone rushed off and the girl had been shoved with the crowd. As she caught sight of the sign, she glanced at it curiously. The girl kind of wished she could've had time to sight see and just browse and look around. The games probably would've been fun but she didn't have any money. Besides she had come to this island for the mission she had been given. Couldn't keep the head mechanic waiting. The girl then scanned over the places listed and where they were located. Well it didn't list where the mechanics would be specifically located and thus she just needed to go to the Help Desk. They'd most likely be able to point her in the right direction. Decision made, she made her way towards the Help Desk, planning to ask where she could find the head mechanic.

Riku would be able to find the Help Desk easily enough. It wasn't so much a desk, as it was a large, round Kiosk with a slanted cone like roof. Ornately decorated, the building had a sign reading 'Help Desk' in four separate locations. A poll sat at the buildings center, complete with four large mega-phone speakers; likely for announcements and lost child reports.

Behind the desks of the kiosk were three woman, each physically identical to the tour guide back on the ferry.

The girl looked around and this was obviously the place. There were various signs saying that this was the help desk. All three women available looked identical and she was a little confused. Okay... So she did end up approaching one of the desks. She didn't notice anything particularly different about the desks and thus she chose one at random. Glancing at the lady behind of it, she then stood there a little awkwardly."Excuse me. Do you know where I could find the head mechanic?"

"I'm sorry, but guests are not allowed to enter staff only areas. If you have a complaint about the state of one of the rides please put it in the box to my left" The woman said in a cheery, polite tone. Riku hadn't taken into consideration one simple fact. To anyone that works here, she didn't look any different from any other guest. A child no less.

The girl wasn't sure what exactly she could do. She didn't have anything that would show that she was from the academy. How could she possibly convince them she was from there? Maybe mentioning that she was from the academy and Professor Rook's name would be her way in. Other then that, unless they had a pokemon battle or anything- well there was nothing she could do. Nothing that came to mind anyway."I'm from the academy, Professor Rook said that the head mechanic would tell me what I needed to do here?"

The woman behind the counter jumped slightly, then quickly leaned in "Not so loud! Weren't you warned the nobody knows the Organization owns this place!?" The woman spoked in a hushed whisper, though otherwise her cheery voice likely would have turned into a rather harsh bark.

Reaching behind the counter, the attendant would take out a thin metal card, sliding it across to Riku "Take this, it's a minimum level security Key Card. Won't get you anywhere fancy, but it'll allow you access to most of the employee areas."

"The mechanic should be in the Garage, it's that giant building on the other end of the park. Behind the electric fence...use the gate on the far end" The woman instructed briskly.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 12, 2012 8:25 pm
The girl thanked the lady as she took the card and pocketed it. It was time to go find the gate and enter through it. Well she hadn't said anything that would really lead someone to assume the park was funded by the organization. Shrugging, she didn't think much about it as she continued moving. What would the mechanic think when they saw her? She was in a cast- a bright purple cast thanks to Regal. It didn't take too long to get through the park. Though there were lots of great things to look at. The rides looked interesting, the food smelled good, and everyone was having fun. Finally she spotted the huge building and came across the gate. Pulling the card out and sliding it, she then entered as the gate opened. Well time to find the head mechanic and then figure out what she had to do for this mission. The girl was followed by her Larvitar on her left and her Growlithe on her right.

Passed the fence Riku would quickly hear the sounds of heavy machinery, of drills and hammers, blow torches and belt sanders. When she entered the garage through a small metal side-door, she'd find much the same. Men in dark green coveralls ran around the room, pounding on machines or moving parts from one place to another.

Each of the men in the room was tall, well muscled, and slathered with grease; and in the middle of them all stood a man so large, he could scarcely be called human. With messy brown hair, and a thick scruffy beard, the man appeared more like an Ursaring wearing clothes then anything else.

The intimidating appearance of this man however, would make it all the more surprisingly when he abruptly cringed at the sound of a high, shrill, but strangely mature voice...

"WHAT ARE YA DOING LAZING AROUND YA BIG LUMMOX!?" If the voice didn't draw Riku's attention, the toolbox being thrown at the man from above a moment later most certainly would.

Standing atop a raised walkway, and leaning far over the guardrails was a woman...at least she sounded like one. By all appearances she looked more like a little girl. Barely taller then Riku, the woman might have sounded more then twice the girl's age, but she certainly didn't look it. Dressed in bright pink-overalls and a grease covered t-shirt, the girl hardly looked older then Riku herself.

One thing however was clear, by the way every man in the room cringed with each of her commands, she was most definitely the one in charge here...the head mechanic.

As she stepped through, she saw a lot of people all over the place. Mechanics were everywhere and there was one huge one that looked like an Ursaring. Shocked, she was a little overwhelmed by everyone. How would she ever be able to find the head mechanic out of all of them? The biggest one was her top choice, well at least until she saw him cringe. Turning to where she had heard the voice, she saw a toolbox then thrown. The girl looked closer and saw a female not much taller then herself. By the sound of her voice, she was a lot older then the girl and the way she yelled at everyone, there was no doubt that this was the head mechanic. The girl made her way flanked by both of her pokemon to where the head mechanic was standing."Excuse me, ma'am, are you the head mechanic? Professor Rook sent me here to help."

Meanwhile on Riku's belt, the pokeball had begun to shift back and forth rocking slightly. Finally with a red flash of light, the Totodile appeared. Finally! Freedom! He then climbed up to rest on top of her head and gave a loud QUACK.

Sir Aiden resisted the temptation to reach up and snatch the Totodile off the girl's head. He would have to jump but he was still confident he would be able to reach it. Unfortunately with the head mechanic looking, he couldn't. The fire dog just sat calmly looking at the other female wondering what she would think of the strange pokemon.

The moment Riku spoke a single hair would abruptly stand up on the child-like woman's head. Turning around swiftly, she'd immediately begin shouting at the girl much as she had been the men bellow "WELL IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! WHAT IN THE BLUE BLAZES OF LAMPENT TOOK SO LONG!? I MADE THE CALL WEEKS AGO!" The women gritted her teeth, casting a glare off to the side "...bet that b*****d was off watching that stupid soap again wasn't he..."

The woman sighed, regaining her composure, and just as she turned to the girl before her to speak further...the Totodile arrived. Immediately the mechanic heaved a much heavier, more exasperated sigh "I asked for help, not another damn circus act!" She growled faintly, smacking her forehead as her shoulders slouched.

Grabbing Riku's arm rather abruptly, the woman would begin pulling the student down the walkway "You'll just have to do...but try not to die will ya?" She barked, shooting Riku a glance before continuing.

When the Head Mechanic stopped at last, Riku would find herself near the other end of the Garage, and beneath her? A giant mechanical Pokemon in so many pieces it couldn't be rightly described "We've already got our solution to the problem, and this is it" She stated, gesturing to the mess of parts, limbs, and paint "Fight fire with fire."

She turned back to Riku "No Pokemon on hand is strong enough to take one of these things down, they're just too big; and unfortunately no one can hang on long enough to turn the suckers off either" She looked back over the railing "Problem is we're...HEY MARKO! GET BACK TO WORK! FREDRICK, THAT PART GOES OVER THEIR YA DUMBASS!" The woman abruptly began barking at the men bellow; when she was done shaking her fist, she'd turn back to Riku "We're missing parts, and unfortunately we're a little too tied up here to retrieve them. That's where you come in."

Reaching into the front pocket of her overalls, the woman would pull out a list with three large pictures of machine parts "I need you to get these for me. You should be able to find them dropped around the jungle, or in the remains of Giants that have been destroyed already...oh, and I suppose I'll give you a little extra incentive..." She rubbed her fingers and thumb together, signalling money "For any other parts you manage to find."

The mechanic would turn "Sounds easy right? Except you'll be dodging Giant Pokemon while you're out there...and...well ya know how the Tour Guide said all the Pokemon here we're entirely mechanical?" The woman looked a little nervous this time "....not entirely so..." She sighed, leaning over the railing as if exhausted "...I mean, we can't exactly ensure the whole island is clear, too much man power involved...but the Giants deter most of em...thing is, last weak one of the Giants stepped on the Petting Zoo...anything that wasn't squashed ran off into the island in a panic..." She rolled her wrist, gesturing the fact that Riku should be able to figure out the rest.

"You should be able to find what you need in the jungle, as well as the coast and probably the mountain. We're on an island, so any way you go should eventually bring you right back to the park. Just...try not to let the guests see what you're up to. Giant Mechanical Pokemon on the Rampage doesn't tend to scream a Family Friendly Good Time..." She heaved another sigh. Riku would be able to see them now, the giant black bags beneath the woman's eyes. Goodness only knew the last time she'd actually slept...
