The ruins of a schoolhouse that has long since been reclaimed by nature. Crumbling walls are the boundaries for the arena, giving it a largely circular shape. In the middle is one tree and the ground is covered in thick green grass.

Al bounded into the clearing, passing the large tree and setting himself at the opposite end of the clearing from the entrance. The haze was VERY annoying, turning his surroundings fuzzy and indistinct to his "sight," but he knew any big difference of heat would still be visible. He'd just have to concentrate and be on guard. He drew a few shuriken and waited for his opponent to appear.

Taka walked out of the shadows of a large oak and turned to face her opponent with her arms crossed. She had heard he was a shakuton she she had brought a extra small thing of water with her in case she had a emergency. Noting the weapons in his hands she stood at the ready.

Giving a solemn nod in the direction of his opponent, Al threw the shuriken with good accuracy at his opponent's shoulders. After they left his hands he moved, jumping to the side and slightly forward as he formed several handsigns. Dehydration Clone he thought as two more versions of himself popped into existence around him and ran, heading straight for the girl, hopefully to keep her busy for a while. He reached into his holsters, giving a slight jingle as he did.

Taka drew her twin fans as the boy threw his weapons. She flicked them open, the heavy full metal blades snapping wide in front of the thrown weapons. As she knocked them out of the air she flicked both of them in a path headed straight for the center of each clone. As she threw the fans she started her handsigns to time the technique. A black cloud came out of takas body and shot to over the target as the boy back pedeled dripping oil from the in front of the moving clones to where he was standing and soaking him. If timed correctly the oil would end this fight in one fluid motion..

Al gave a small smirk as the fans hit the clones, right before the cloud passed by. Both exploded violently, throwing the fans into the wall and tree (and causing Al to shake from the shockwave), but the reason he was smirking was the... after effects. Dehydrating winds spread from the two clones, drying up the cloud as it passed, and punching a hole in the surrounding mist. Not to waste his chance, as the clones exploded he whipped the two senbon he'd grabbed from his bag into the ground, and gave their trailing wires a sharp tug. A harsh clanging would resound around the arena, and Taka's world would almost certainly begin to spin at an insanely fast speed. Round and round, the evil ringing affecting her balance and perception, and most likely causing her to feel the need to vomit. "Suzu no Oto... a devilish technique..." Al said as he started to form more handseals, the motion keeping the bells clanging as the wire tugged from his hand to the bells.

Official Description: Suzu no Oto is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Sound kunoichi Kin. Kin will hurl senbon which have bells attached with string. This string will also run from the senbon itself to her hand. After she hurls the senbon at her opponent, the dangling bells can be moved by Kin to emit a ring at a special frequency. This frequency reaches directly into her opponent’s brain and shows them the desired illusions. Unfortunately simple ear plugging will not prevent the illusions. One way this can be utilized is to confuse her opponent. By making her opponent see multiple copies of herself, she can confuse them as to her actual location. This is especially deadly when senbon or kunai are thrown, making it difficult to tell which weapon to avoid.
Guild Description: See official description. Requires at minimum 1 bell. 3 bells fashioned in a triangle around the user will nullify their visual impact, while 4 fashioned in a square/diamond will be able to make entire groups vanish. Cannot target whom is affected.

The quick burst of heat wasnt what bothered taka. She had been used to training with fire and other things in her arsenal. However the sudden volley of senbon she had barely managed to dodge and the sudden nausea that was quickly setting in shortly thereafter. She shook her head to try and clear it, however when that didnt work she snapped her fingers and koshi, whom was still sitting on her shoulder, bit into a section of skin on her shoulder. The vision didnt clear but the pain made her nausea ebb away. She had koshi keep his fangs in her for the time being while she flew through the familiar seals. She frowned and started daggers at her opponent. her one hand lit up a small flame that would serve its purpose momentarily. She yelled in her targets direction her voice amplified a hundred fold in a counter attack. She nealt at the base of the now dried powdered oil that had hit the ground and swept her hand across it."FUS RO DAH!"The fire swept in a wide angle toward her target along the path the person had traveled and the wide area the oil had fallen, which was everywhere except she was currently standing, swept around him.

In terms of raw searing strength, though, it allows the user to cut through even metallic string now.

Al had finished and slammed his hand against the ground right as Taka swept her finger into the ground... and set the entire field on fire. Non-existent eyes widening, he leaped into the air, trailing the up-rooted senbon, and landed on a branch of the tree in the center as the field flamed below. The force of her voice nearly knocked him off, but the use of the Tree Walking Jutsu managed to secure him. The moment he'd touched the ground, dozens of shimmering pillars would have completely enclosed Taka, having used the Extreme Steam Prison jutsu that he so loved. Oddly enough, a double edged sword in the case of the fight as the enclosure also protected Taka from her own foolishness, shielding her non-flaming patch of tall, dry, FLAMMABLE grass from the raging fires beyond. As for the heat, well, she seemed to be able to take it. Once he stopped wobbling, he decided to double the effects, and sunk the two senbon (slightly singed) into the tree below, and began to use Suzu no Oto once more to directly effect the liquid in her inner ear, which would certainly ruin her sense of balance completely. He silently hoped she wouldn't stumble into one of the pillars, and would have the good sense not to move quickly. He didn't want to see a Bar-B-Que down there.

Taka was always a quick thinker but the pillars of steam she admits was a bit of a surprise. But nothing she couldnt handle. She flashed through the familiar set of seals and disappeared in a mass flurry of sakura petals. Combined with the smoke the oil was putting off throughout the field would make her damn near impossible to spot when she rematerialized in the hollow of one of the few large trees that wasn't on fire. She just used the time to clear her head and set her vision straight. Trusting the fire would take care of any further issues with the wire, she took a sip from her water bottle and started a short set of seals preparing a jutsu.

Al blinked. Somehow, from inside the cover of the blazing-hot smoke, a cloud of cool butterflies emerged and flew into the sky. Blinking, he kai'd himself, but was unable to do so in time to catch the motion of his opponent... until she resolved into a heat-blob inside of the cool hollow below him. Shaking his head, he waited for a second to give the second Suzu no Oto time to work on her, then formed several more handsigns, and coughed up a blob of disgusting silver mucus, which was then tossed downwards to the roaring flames beneath her hollow. Hopefully the explosion of flames would drive her to stumble out, where he could easily descend to end this.

Taka saw the silver substance fall into the fire and ignite i barely enough time to shield her face from the force of the moderate blast. Her arms were now sporting minor burns and abrasions and her back had slammed against the tree itself. knocking a bit of wind at her. She decided her best course of action with her vision messed up as it was and acted immediately. Her sound worked before why not again. Pushing her chakra into her vocal chords she let a song drift across the field, causing spectral images to form through her targets mind. She put her all into the jutsu and even the camera's would register ghostly images for the people that were watching. The spectres would appear on either side of him, interlinking his arms with theirs, and along the walls of the field. All of them shared taka's song.

Al swayed slightly as the beings shimmered into existence (as blobs of heat, to him, but well-endowed blobs of heat) and figured the smoke was getting to him. Once they began singing, he moved as if in a trance, walking straight for the ladies at the edge of the field... and into thin air. He dropped, and the shock from the pain of his legs getting a hairline fracture (one each) shattered the genjutsu just like his legs would have, if he'd not been wearing his Wind Cape. Biting his lip, he painfully leaped to where the fire had already burned out at the edge of the arena, and literally tore off his flaming pants, leaving him in a shirt, trousers, and a cape around his waist. Staring at the tree, he started to form handseals, knowing that this fight would be over soon, since the pain was causing the edges of his vision to blur and darken.

Moving quickly out from the tree she snatched up a piece of wood that was burning still and grabbed her sake. leaping and pushing off the wall toward him she took a mouthful of sake and blew it at him causing the alcohol to ignite in a short burst of fire. in the brief distraction, and possible burns it would provide, she closed the range and was set to let off a flurry of blows to the shakuton.

Closing the range would prove to be her downfall. As she released the flaming alcohol, he released his built-up jutsu, the Sword of Wind, and they would pass by each other. He reeled backwards, desperately trying to swipe the burning alcohol off of his shirt and face, and the pain in his legs caused him to collapse on his knees. With one hand he reached for the belt under his cape's knot, trying desperately to grab the extendable staff he had there.

Meanwhile, due to the short range between them, the cutting whirlwind would most likely impact upon the girl, causing deep gashes and slices to form all over her body, probably stopping her forward motion.

As the flames licked his body she was hit by the cutting wind of some jutsu he shot at her. It drew blood from her rather small chest, cut her cheek, and nearly knocked her off her feet. She also noted that she had lost her flaming stick and her headband had been severed from her leg and flung to the ground. Her newest dress was nearly in shreds. Rather then fall backwards from the impact she forced herself to fall sideways propping herself on her arms and using the small amount of momentum to whip her back and legs around aiming for the boys chest with a dragon tail style kick."Not done yet!"
