Crimson sat down at the base of an old, sturdy tree, her Growlithe in her arms as she looked around. The place was absolutely beautiful, growing up in the city never gave you a chance to see nature like this. Sure, Crown City had beautiful plants and flowers and whatnot, but it wasn't anything compared to an actual forest.
"Look at it, Impro. Its awesome, right?" The Growlithe nodded, yup, this was amazing! He wiggled free from her grip and ran towards the pond of water, staring at his reflection. He pawed at the water with interest, and then...Splash! Crimson pushed him in, the Growlithe going in head-first. He swam up and broke through the surface, bobbing up and down as he glared at her. "> Hey, hey! <" The Growlithe bit on her boot from inside the water, as if trying to drag her in, and she burst out in laughter. "Thats hilarious, you think you can push me in?"
Impromptu looked at her, annoyed. He crawled out of the water, shaking himself off right near her feet. She only laughed harder, "Ooooh, I'm so scared of the big splashes of water coming from you, such a huge scary dog!" Impromptu glared, "> I hate you <" he hissed. Crimson laughed, picking up the fire type and hugging him. "Aww, I know you love me so, so much~"
Impromptu only grumbled. Yes, yes, he loved her...

Ada let out all her Pokemon at once now, looking at her full team. Growlithe, Scraggy, Zangoose, Aerodactyl, Tropius. Not too shabby! She looked at them all, a smile on her face as she put her hands on her hips.
Carmine was the first to have a panic attack. Nevermind the giant fruit dinosaur, that Zangoose was..."> Y-you're alive! <" Specter let out a low humph. "> ...your human showed me mercy... <" she mumbled. Carmines eye twitched, but he...but he remembered... "> ...she told me so herself... <" she added. Carmine looked up at Ada, ah, a lie. Well, if it was her wish to keep the Zangoose in the dark, so be it.
But of course, before Ada wanted to let them start exploring their new home...she wanted to know if this is what they desired as a home. And so now came the hard part - speech. She wasn't good at regular speeches, much less emotional ones, even if it was a short one.
She looked more at the other members then at Impromptu now. "I...I never understood why people had to hurt a pokemon before catching it, and how they expected the creature to trust them afterwards. Arceus knows I would never trust someone who hurt me, who drew my blood and confined me" she coughed into her glove, "So if you can't forgive me for causing you pain, then you may leave now. But if you can put your trust in me, then I will do the same for you...to stay or go is your choice" All of them looked at her, a bit taken aback. What to say, what to do?
Erion was the first to speak up. after what seemed like the longest minute of staring he huffed, "> You might be a twiggy little think but you're hella interesting. Plus, while with you I've eaten better food than I would have ever gotten in the spot I came from...I'm staying <" He said, stepping over to her side. The girls smile grew as she glanced over at him, though only for a fraction as she snapped back to look at the others. Carmine walked over, clutching his pants. "> Saved me from getting eaten even after I was cold to you...thats enough to convince me <" two down, two to go (the mutt, you see, was by her side this whole time). The hardest deciders, they had a lot to think about.
Specter turned around. "> I would like to return to my father. I do not yet wish t- <" "> Yer missing something there, bushytail <" Specter gritted her teeth. Control, temperance, don't tear that scraggy to shreds... "> Technically you can't go back. We took you from that time loop, which there is no way of getting back to. You would have to start out again, clean slate, all alone. Doesn't sound so good to me...considering this one could have left you to die, but she didn't <" Of course, he was making that last part up, but considering she had been brought back to life in the first place was a miracle that should be honored. The Zangoose was silent for a moment before flicking her longer ear, turning around and silently going to Adas side, crossing her arms.
Thaleia had a worried look on her face. "> Oh, oh, I have to go though! My friend, she needs me! <" She bit her lip as Erion looked at her, head low. "> Your friend...I think...she can take care of herself... <" He looked at the ground, "> I just mean...but... I think... <" Arceus this was awkward. He looked her in the eyes, "> I think you're kinda cute, s'all, and I was wondering if I could get to...to know...<"
Thaleia blushed. Never had a man shown interest in her, everyone always thought she was "too nerdy" or on "ugly geek". She would love to give him a chance but..."> But my home- <" "> Is right here <" "> what? <" Erion grabbed the sixth ball off of Ada's hat, showing it to her. She was confused to say the least. "> But that...thats just one of the balls! <" he shook his head, "> Just...trust me? I'll show you later, just please...stay here? <" Thaleia bit her lip before sighing. "> I'll give it a chance <"
She walked over to Ada, the girls eyes lighting up. She was quite impressed with them all, and she almost gave a happy squeal. "T-thank you, thank you all! I promise, from this day forth, we only get stronger!" She exclaimed. She then looked at the area surrounding them, "But for now...well, frankly, our home and headquarters is a dump. First thing we gotta do is fix this place up, make some beds and such...twigs here can be used for a fire..."
She pointed and talked as they nodded. With their combined efforts and strength, she was sure they could do it!

Ada smacked into a tree, taking in a deep breath as she dragged down and sat on the ground. Day had turned to night and dragged on, but they were able to do it rather quickly and efficiently. Carmine kicked small trees and large branches into usable shrubs, Specters own claws and Ada with a sharpened rock smoothing them into boards. Erion and Thaleia helped lift them up and clear the branches that were in the way, where Impromptu pounded nails into them with Iron Tail. A team effort, in the end they had a cozy sort of base. Up in the biggest, sturdiest tree they had, the one that overlooked the pond of water they had. Some of its branches had to be cleared, yes, and they now sat bundled up at the base to be used for firewood should the need arise, the treehouse itself resting atop sturdy branches. Medium sized stones, enough to hold an adults foot, had been jutted into the trunk, leading up to the home with smaller stones on the side to grab on to. Well, a ladder just seemed unnatural to her, so she decided to go another way with it.
"Ah, though I cannot forget the icing on the cake" Ada looked at the pokeball in her hand, standing up. She walked over, away from the pond and all of it. She figured such a mass would cast a shadow...she wouldn't want an ugly shadow over all her hard work now, huh? Once she figured she was far enough she pressed the center of the ball, a white light shooting out and up. It expanded, and it kept growing and growing until it took the shape of a floating island, looking beautiful even from afar. A paradise in the sky, a beautiful thing indeed. Yet it was so out of reach!
She turned to look at Erion and Thaleia, the two sitting next to eachother now, in front of the pond. "Saaaay...why don't you two go check it out for me?" Seemed like an innocent enough request but the two could sense the hidden undertone. "> I-its not like that! I mean, we only just met and...! <" Thaleia looked up, Erion already flying up and away, looking back at her to see if she was following. The Tropius flapped her wings, pushing herself up as she tried her hardest to catch up to him.
Ada chuckled. Ah, those two were so interesting together!

"YOU!"
Ada would come in, picking up the unopened pokeball that lay freshly dropped in the middle of her property. Almond, sweet almond, a pokemon she caught for no apparent reason...she was going to destroy everyone with her.
Ada put the pokeball on her neck, taking anoher out and releasing the pokemon in front of her. Thaleia, also sweet, too sweet. The tropius looked down at her, And ada pat her head as she came near, putting her pokeball in her mouth. "Fly up to Fantasia and rest there, you've done good"
The Tropius nodded, her wings flapping gently as she took the breeze up.

"> Bwuh <"
SPECTER LEARNED IRON TAIL
Ada spent the rest of the time hiding in a tree clutching a CD, screaming the words "Im" and "Sorry" as she was threatened with spears of ice from below.

"Cleffa?"
Ada was on her hands and knee's, looking inside of a bush with impromptu Sniffing around at her side. The mutt was the most helpful of them all, having been the only one that met the cleffa prior and therefore able to track his scent. Though that didn't mean he was alone in helping her. Carmine was up in the trees somewhere, Almond was looking from the pond, Layla was listening intently...even Erion and Thaleia, who were looking up from the skies. The only one who wasn't helping was Specter, who chose instead to go hide off somewhere until all of this was over.
It was at that moment that Ada would feel something hit her rump. Something...hard. Did someone throw a stone at her? The magician grumbled, backing out of the little hole she had made in the bushes. In doing so she'd feel a stick crushing under her weight, and while it seemed like no big deal it woudn't be until a few seconds later that she had realized what she had done.
She'd feel something tighten around her, a rope of sorts made out of leaves, fines, branches, grass - anything and everything the forest could offer. Ada gave a yip as it pulled her up, binding her arms to her chest and yanking her upwards. She'd be a mere one or two inches off the ground, though it gave her the perfect viewpoint to see that her legs had been tied together too. A rather elaborate trap, which could have only been made by...
"> Cease your struggling! It'll only make it tighter, prisoner! <"
"P-prisoner!"
A cleffa would run forwards, throwing three small pebbles at her as he passed. He'd immediately roll into the bush she had just gone out of, the space she had cleared out a perfect tunnel for him.
Impromptu would come to her side, fire starting at his paws to try and burn away the vines. "Nevermind me!" Ada barked, making sure to get all her pokemon's attention. "Catch that Cleffa!"
Impromptu gave his own meaningless bark in response, turning around and running into the bush. Layla would dart behind him, trying to catch him by the tail...though she was too late. The mutt dove into the foliage, a crude wood slate going down behind him and trapping him within the branches and leaves of it.
The riolu's ear twitched. Never before had she been faced with with an issue like this. Her tail wavered slightly as she took on a stance, paws up with her legs spread. A rock would be flung her way, and she stepped to the side, letting it fall in the pond behind her. Three more rocks would pass and she'd effectively dodge them all, a rustling in the shrubs at her side coming afterwards.
The cleffa would come out, a pout on his face. There was a feather tied around his head in a band, two line markings under his eyes (possibly painted there with berry juice). The tips of his fangs stuck out slightly from his mouth, and in his hands was a wooden knife that he seemed to have made himself. He had an overall wild look to him, and if it weren't for the fact he was so small and gosh darn cute he'd have been a bit terrifying.
He was born and raised in one of the toughest of lands - there was a reason he had survived until this point. In this new land of his, which he had stumbled upon rather mysteriously but would not question how, he would allow no trespassers - He'd drive each and every one of them out!
A shadow would be cast over him, and he'd be rather roughly picked up and held by the tail. The small normal type's expression would change to one of pure terror as he looked at his captor, Erion staring right back before glancing down at Layla. The riolu gave him a thumbs up and a wink, and the Aerodactyl only gave his own sort of thumbs up in response.
"> Let me go! Let me gooooooo!" the cleffa whined, flailing about. Erion only gave him a glare, "> Cease your bickering - what makes you think you're off the hook? <" He raised his arm, putting the Cleffa down atop his head. "> I'll admit though, that was pretty entertaining. If you don't feel like becoming my lunch I suggest you stop, though <" The cleffa grumbled, begrudgingly sitting down atop the beasts head. Erion would promptly slice the rope that bound his trainer, the magician almost losing her balance though managing to land on her feet. She leaned over, freeing Impromptu before putting her hands on her hips, reaching up on her tiptoes and plucking the small normal type off of the aerodactyl's head.
"You're rather cunning, you know?" She sat down, putting him on the ground in front of her. "I will call you Renard. Do you like that?" He thought over it for a moment. "> It is an acceptable name...I will be Renard from now on, then, human <" she pat him on the head. "Good! Its nice to meet you, Renard! I am Adamine Monroe, but everyone calls me Ada!"
"You like this place, right?"
"> Very much, yes - it is much more pleasant than where I used to live <"
"Well, you get to live here! I only have one favor to ask of in return. I need you to protect this patch of forest while I'm away - there's no fence of any sort and the thought of people coming here and raiding it is frightening. I'm sure you can take care of it just fine"
"> ...sounds fair to me. Consider it a deal, Monroe. I, Renard the warrior, swear to protect this land with my very life if I have to! <"

"> I don't know! She was here for some time, really bossy little thing. The computer over there made a noise, another light appeared, and she pressed some buttons on it. Then she just disappeared! <"
"Must have fiddled with the PC system...thanks Leia, I'll take a look at it"
"> no problem, glad I could help <"

She'd wait until the night to do it, making sure that all her pokemon were sound asleep. The magician would find Carmine and escort him to small hidden part of their home, spacey enough to be comfortable but still giving them enough privacy.
It wasn't because what they were doing was wrong - nothing of the sort. It was just a very heavy decision and she'd rather speak one-on-one with Carmine about it where he could think without distraction. Besides, he didn't sleep at night anyways - he was a creature of the night, and it was nice to have someone else up with him. It was the girl, of all people, but it seemed like she wanted his attention pretty badly so he went along with it.
Each sitting on cool, damp earth, she'd present him a rather odd thing floating above her hands. Some sort of sphere, it was orangy-red with a white glow around it. It was not a solid nor a liquid nor a gass - it was simply a mass of some sort. It gave of the feeling of intense energy, and Carmine felt stronger just being around it. Power, it was raw power she was offering him, and he'd push away the queasy feeling it gave him as he looked at it with eyes wide and full of longing.
"> I want it <"
Ada didn't know what it would do actually. Though she was sure that the end result couldn't be all too bad...it promised strength in a compact form, and while there was prossibly some sort of consequence well...
She was desperate.
Carmine would reach his hands out, touching the orb with his small hands. It's glow would pass on to him, and he'd feel the rush as it invaded his body. It hurt more than anything he'd ever experienced, and give out an agonizing cry as he tumbled back, his body glowing and illuminating the ground around him and his trainers face, showing the shocked look she had bright and clear against the inky blackness of the night. She wanted to reach out for him, to hold him in her arms and comfort him. But she couldn't move, her body become stiff now out of fear of what she'd done. All she could do was watch and wait...

The Scrafty before her would every so slowly begin to inch away, eyes startled yet he was wary of her. How the human had managed to get so close to him, he didn't know, she had to have done something to him considering how confused he was.
For one thing, he didn't feel quite right. His memory was fuzzy - all he could recall was that he lived in a forest, was musically talented, seemed to be a scrafty now and was just about the coolest thing to ever hit planet earth. Where the human came in he didn't know, but looking at her made him feel strange inside and he didn't like it.
He'd stand up slowly, Ada staying on her knees yet she'd tilt her head up to stare at him. He was afraid of her now, at least it seemed so, and that didn't feel quite right to her. Of all her team to act like this, it certainly wouldn't be him. She'd sit up tall, the dual type still able to look down at her yet at least it was more or less even. "...Carmine?"
"> Try anything funny and I'll snap you like a twig <" He hissed, Ada looking slightly offended by his words. That did not sound like the Carmine she knew. "Snap out of it, Carmine" The scrafty would only take up a defensive position, arms at the ready if he had to give her a punch or two.
The magician almost felt like crying now, he didn't recognize her at all. All that time they spent together, the battles he had won, hardships he had faced, he'd lost it all. She'd messed up, again. He'd become much, much stronger, yes, but in the end...
She felt like hugging him. And that's exactly what she'd go to do, the crimson haired magician getting up and walking forwards gently with her arms outstretched. Carmine would narrow his eyes, his tail shifting from side to side as he drew his fist back. He'd warned her, he'd warned her and now the looney had those big round eyes and that weird grin and she was coming for him. Oh, h'ed give it to her, he'd give it to her go- agh!
A loud, beastlike roar would come from behind Ada as Specter lunged at Carmine, the Zangoose's weight and speed enough to throw him onto the ground despite the new height he sported. Her fur was on end, and she pinned the pants lizard down, Carmine struggling underneath her, trying to flail and panic. "> YA'LL ARE CRAZY! <" he'd yell, tail swishing back and forth in an attempt to knock specter over.
And that would be when it came, the red light of Carmines pokeball which would suck him back in. Ada would rather shakily clip it back onto the inside of her bow tie, Specter getting up and staring at her. She wasn't entirely sure what had just happened, all she heard was the shriek and she came. The Zangoose, being what she was, wasn't a fan of sleeping in the day either - rather lucky for Ada, because who knows what would have happened without her being there.
"...we'll talk about it in the morning" "> You better <"
"..."
"And specter?" "> ?<" "Thanks"
"> ...whatever <"

Layla would stare holes into the scrafty before her, No doubt it was him. But mentally it wasn't...quite him either. She had no idea how it happened, but it had, and now she had taken it upon herself to try and make it better. At least, she was the sanest one, and being the pokemon she was she tended to understand others better...even if she couldn't cope with her own emotions herself.
"> Do I have to be tied up? I swear I won't do anything <" Layla would cross her arms, Specter behind her (she didn't need to have her around but the extra protection was nice) growling. "> Yeesh, have it your way. At least pick softer rope next time <" he didn't even see the point in it, the both of them could take him down easily and their human wasn't even anywhere nearby, so there was no danger to her. He wouldn't be getting out of it any time soon, it seemed.
"> ...amnesia <" "> amwhatta <" the riolu would lightly smack her forehead against her paw. "> You don't remember the recent past. You barely remember any past. <" any past with them, at least, was down the drain, and the chances of getting it back was rare. "> You don't even know your own name, do you? <" at that the Scrafty would look surprised. "> ...I have a name? <" Layla groaned, "> Carmine. Your name is Carmine, remember it <" He'd scrunch up his nose, black eyelids forming a rather unamused look on his face. "> Carmine? That's a lame name. I can see why I'd forget it <" Layla would glare at him. No words, she had no words, a lack of words as always.
She'd simply groan again before walking away to retrieve Ada. She was done with him, absolutely done. Specter would walk up to him, slashing at the rope with one claw and watching as it fell to the floor lifelessly. Carmine rubbed at his arms, "> Thanks toots <" he'd remark, Specters ears going up as she began to give a low growl. TOOTS...
Lucky for Carmine, Ada would come in around the same time, the air around her still rather sad. She;d cheer up slightly when she noticed Carmine keeping calm around her, and she'd extend her hand out to him. The scraggy would stare, huffing. "> Holding hands is dumb <" he almost instantly noticed how the words hurt her, however, and sighed. "> well if it keeps ya from cryin', ya big baby... <" unenthusiastically, he'd give her his hand, and she'd gladly take it, calling back the rest of her team and leaving him out with her. They had plenty to catch up on, and it could all be done on their way to class!
