Isamaru waltzed into the shop, past the man and headed into the back. He noticed a puppet like woman there herself. He decided he would explain it all now just as Akio did. "Hello, hello. Me and my colleague whos about this tall and this wide." Isamaru made gestures during. Such was his nature. "Anyways he'll be grabbing prices here. Have a nice day ma'am." Isamaru passed the man infront without so much as a hello. Because men were guys. And Isamaru didn't care to much for guys.

Akio didn't like puppets or those who used them, the creepy little bastards who liked to hide all time and send constructions of wood and iron after their enemies. Not that Akio couldn't handle something made of wood and iron, he just didn't like it. "Hello, I'll need the price list concerning your puppet ammunition. Thank you very much, ma'am." Akio grabbed the list, bowed, and hightailed it out of the creepy shop, lest he be killed and turned into a puppet himself. That wouldn't be very fun.

[1/5]

A figure flew through the door and glided over to the counter. Eagerly, the figure placed her hands on the surface and leaned forward on her toes, looking around for the owner, Hirio, so she could get the necessary supplies to begin making her puppet. Her face was saturated with sweat; the weather here was much warming than the climate she had grown up in, and she was boiling. After a while, the man came and Miyuki regained her composure to begin talking. "Excuse me, sir? I am interested in making myself a puppet and I believe you have the supplies?" The man seemed thrilled that she was going to make her own puppet, but at the same time he examined her. She was a kid, barely a teenager, and didn't even have a village headband or anything of the sort. But he was not one to judge a person based upon that much alone, and so he pulled out the necessary supplies. The supplies which he pulled out was everything pre-assembled. Well, not really. All the parts were carved, but this made Miyuki uneasy. After expressing this concern to the shop keeper, he understood and gave her a piece of the wood to carve on her own. The wood was strong, and Miyuki knew it would do nicely. Her bag was weighed down with all the extra stuff she would add: hair, clothing, armor, weapons, etc. were all brought with her. Now, she could begin.

He lead her to an area where she could begin her work, and Miyuki sat down and laid all the supplies out before her. Everything was there: tools to put things together, joints, etc. She was given a huge chunk of wood and a knife to cut through it, in addition to all the necessary bolts and such. With a faint sigh, Miyuki decided that she ought to begin with carving the limbs out of the puppet. It was wisest to begin with this step because if she messed up here, it would be easy to go back and redo her work. If she messed up on the limbs towards the end, it would be a nightmare. Carefully, her small hands measured the block of wood and began to cut. Her face changed to be completely and totally focused; when Miyuki was focused, her face appeared almost emotionless, as though she was preparing to kill someone. Everything around her seemed to stop. No noise passed through her ears, no surroundings met her eyes. All there was was herself and her puppet.

After about an hour, Miyuki had one arm (bicep and forearm, not connected), a hand, and five fingers completed. They were carved beautifully, like a work of art, and Miyuki knew that this would be the minimum amount of effort she would need to do for the rest of the puppet. Was it warm in here? Her sweat had caused the parts of the puppet she held during construction to become a different shade than the rest of the wood. Having reached this point, Miyuki took the opportunity to sit back for a moment and loosen her clothing. Why was it so bleeding warm? Originally, she had come in wearing the same clothing she wore back at her village, but it was apparent that this village was so warm that she had to practically strip to be at a comfortable temperature. Her feet were becoming swollen from her body being so unused to the heat, and so before setting back to work Miyuki took off her shoes and massaged her feet a bit to get them back to a normal size before she would start working again.

[2/5]

Even after the swelling had reduced, Miyuki didn't put her shoes back on. Sweat continued to trickle down her face, but she continued to work anyways. Her left hand held the chunk of wood, grounded firmly on the table, while her right hand carved carefully through the wood. Since she was carving the other arm, she began as she had the last. First, she rounded the wood into a cylindrical shape. Then, she measured half way through the cylinder and carefully cut through the center. From there, she whittled out the innards so that each was a half of a hollow cylinder, appearing almost as an arc. While she wasn't stopping to put each piece together as a whole, she did stop for these pieces and drill a hole through it to connect the two halves of the arm together. The arm was fairly basic; not trying to be too correct with muscle or anything of the sort and simply a cylinder. She did the same for the forearm and then she had two halves of the arm. Now, the hand was a little more difficult. She had to shape the base of the hand a few different pieces at a time to make it hollow and connect those with bolts as well. The fingers were pretty simple; cylinders connected with bolts as joints.

Miyuki moved on to the torso. This was the easy part of the carving process. It was basically a big cylinder that was narrower on the bottom. Like before, she began by carving two pieces and joining them to make its chest hollow. Before moving on to the legs, Miyuki decided to connect all the parts she had made so far. Still using the wood, she carved out shoulders that would connect the biceps to the arm. Earlier, she had made sure to make appropriate altercations to the top of the bicep and the arm holes of the torso so that a joint piece would fit in. It was basically a free-moving sphere that also had a safety-type wood piece on it that would connect it to the rest of the arm. Experimentally, Miyuki swung the arm around a bit to make sure that it could move. Indeed, it could move in any direction, more than a human could. Then, she moved on to make the elbow and other joint pieces. These ones did not have to have as much movements, so they were a simple cut in the wood that allowed the two pieces to connect so that the arm would bend forward and backwards, as well as the fingers. The hand was connected to the forearm with a similar piece as the shoulder, which could rotate in any direction and acted as the wrist.

Next was the pelvis and legs. The pelvis was fairly simple to create, as was the torso. And the legs were pretty much the same as the arms, but larger. With feet, Miyuki was tempted to leave off toes until she decided that she wanted to be as proud of this work as possible. The toes were tiny, menial labor. Her exhaustion caused her to leave off even bothering creating joints that tiny. Having finished this, Miyuki created knees which operated like elbows to connect the legs, moving forward and backwards, and connected the feet as she did the wrists. She connected the legs to the pelvic piece in a similar way she connected the arm to the shoulder. By creating an almost shoulder like piece, the legs could move in any direction possible. Unlike the shoulder piece, this piece was more hidden within the pelvic piece. To connect the lower part of the body to the upper part of the body, Miyuki simply created another section using the technology similar to the shoulders to attach the two in a way that the hips of the puppet would rotate as a human's would. This whole process took close to six hours, and Miyuki was so overheated that she had to take another break.

[3/5]

At this point, Miyuki was wearing only her undergarments: a thin undershirt and tight-shorts as well as her gloves so she wouldn't hurt her hands on splinters. Not only was she unused to the weather, but the labor of carving was causing her to work up a sweat. People entering and existing the shop surely must have thought she was a strange sight. All the while, she was completely focused. Her face looked almost expressionless: many furrow their brow when they focus but Miyuki does just the opposite. Her face was completely relaxed, and some may have thought she was actually asleep. Her light violet, almost pink, hair fell in front of her eyes and she gruffly tucked it behind her ears before taking the remaining chunk of wood and staring at it for a good amount of time. The head. It was almost frustrating, looking at the block of wood with no form whatsoever. This was her next project for which she had to tackle, and it was probably the most irritating out of all of them. This step she had to get perfect. The eyes, the nose, the mouth, it was frickin' ridiculous.

She began by cutting it into two pieces, to make it hollow. One piece was the back of the head, which was easy. Pretty much a half circle. The front was where the detail had to be. She began by cutting out the jaw, so that it would have a traditional puppet jaw which rose and fell as she wished. Then, she defined the chin and began to work on carving away on the rest of the face. For the nose, she worked to make it look as realistic as possible because when puppets have those really fake noses, they just look creepy. Of puppets, the heads were the creepy part because they were so life-like, and yet not. After the nose was defined she worked to carve eye sockets. Then, she looked at it. Miyuki was debating over whether to paint the eyes or not. It would bring its creepiness up by over 9000, but at the same time it would make it more realistic. Literally, she had her paintbrush in hand when she decided to set it down. The puppet would be wearing a mask, and so painting any of it would be unnecessary.

The face finished, Miyuki connected the two halves of the head. She also cut a hole in the bottom so that when she constructed a neck the head would be able to connect to the rest of the body and rotate as well. The head's movement was less necessary, but it made it more human. Plus, the whole creepy neck thing was the only fun creepy part about puppets. The more she worked, the more Miyuki became excited about the puppet. She created a simply neck, with another free moving piece to connect the head to the neck and then she connected the neck to the rest of the torso very simply. With that, the basic puppet was done. All she had to do know was fix it up and add in what she calls the "quirks", mainly the shuriken and kunai which Miyuki carried with her for the sole purpose of installing into the arm of the puppet.

[4/5]

First, she carved out a chunk of the right arm so that she would have an easy time reloading the arm should his ammunition run out. Yes, she had begun to address her puppet as "he". In fact, Miyuki already had a name in mind for him. Mitsuhide. He was to be a samurai, and Mitsuhide sounded like a very samurai-esque name. After cutting a chunk out of the arm, Miyuki installed a hinge so that the arm would easily open and close, and also put in a lock and hung the key on her neck so that, should someone steal Mitsuhide, no one would be able to take her shuriken or kunai. Then, she put in a spring, which could be accessed using her Chakra strings, and carefully loaded the weapons in. There was a very basic system that would launch one shuriken or kunai at a time. Using her Chakra, she could choose one or the other. Then, she cut out a chunk of the hand for the shuriken and kunai to launch from, and on this one put a spring hinge, which would open when the shuriken or kunai was to be launched and close immediately afterwards.

Now she could move on to aesthetics. Miyuki carefully sanded down the puppet, making the surface extremely smooth. She ran her hand along it without her glove on and there was not a splinter in sight. Before applying clothing and such, Miyuki rotated the head, moved the arms, and legs, etc. It seemed as though her craftsmanship was flawless the first time through. The entire process had taken almost twenty hours by the time Miyuki finished sanding the puppet down. She was still warm, as she was still unused to the climate. But now it would be considered public indecency if she took off any more clothing, so she decided to tolerate until she was finished and to return back to the place with normal weather (little did she know that where she had lived all her life was extremely cold and this place, in fact, was the normal place).

[5/5]

A deep breath. From her bag, Miyuki pulled out a full samurai robe, sandals, tabi, armor, a mask, headgear, hair in a separate, smaller bag within the bag in the form of a wig, a sword (sheathed) and a tower shield. This was where she really turned the puppet into Mitsuhide. Up until now, the puppet could have passed off as any old puppet, but now she really personalized it. This was the part of the process which Miyuki most looked forward to, as it was the part that made her really connected to the puppet. In a way, he was a part of her. He would fight alongside her as if it were a human companion. Miyuki had spent almost a day with him already, and she felt as though the whole time she was simply giving birth to her creation. He was her child, and she would treasure him as such. Mitsuhide Date. She decided against calling him this because the more connected she became to her puppet, the stranger she became. Rather, he would simply be Mitsuhide. The name sounds more mysterious when he just has a first name after all.

She began by putting his under robe on. It was black, but only acted as the undergarment. Over it, she gave him a coat-like top that was deep violet, as her Chakra energy. The lining was white, with two white stripes on either sleeve. With the black undergarments under, it appeared as though the end of the sleeves and the inside was black. Then, she slipped a hakama on over his legs, violet as well, and fastened them around his waist by a white sash-like belt. Using paste, Miyuki pasted his hair on top of his head. It was long, black, and fell down below his waist. She tied the hair off in a ponytail and moved on to the armor. First she put the gauntlets and gloves on to cover his hands, then she tucked the end of his hakama into his boots and put the cover of those over as well, making it appear as though he were wearing very baggy pants. Over his shoulders, Miyuki fastened shoulder armor with an intricate chain connecting them across his chest. She then applied his mask and his forehead protector, covering up his puppet appearance completely. Now, he simply looked like a man lying unconscious on the table.

The final steps were the shield and the weapon. Miyuki carefully tucked the sheathed katana onto his left waist, so that he could draw with his right hand, and put the shield at his back. Now, he was truly a samurai, lying there limply as though he never was able to move. Miyuki wanted to begin her training now, but she knew that she had to get her headband and the consent of her Kage ((ZEUGMA!!!!! : D)) before she could begin training.

[One Day Wait Completed]

Finished. Mitsuhide lay there, unable to move, as Miyuki breathed a sigh of relief. Hurriedly, she put on her over garments once again and lifted Mitsuhide off the table easily. He was light, as she made him hollow. Had she not gone through the effort to make him hollow, this trip would be a nightmare. Heavy armor plus basically carrying a chunk of wood was never fun. As she left, she nodded simply at the shop keeper and exited back to her village.

Manfread shivered as he walked past a small stall filled with porcelain dolls. They seemed to stare at him with their painted eyes, and smooth life like features. Turning to face the other direction Manfread keeped on walking.
“Creepy,” he whispered under his breath, “If I were more paranoid I would swear they were going to come to life to eat my soul.”
Rubbing his arms he walked into a larger store that had a sigh reading 'Wood and Iron'. The place was a variety of puppets and accessories. Manfread looked around for an owner and saw one of the most feminine men he had seen in years working on a puppet. Walking over to the work station, while trying not to stare Manfread attempted to be interested in the puppets. The man looked up from his work and looked Manfread over.
“You look like a taijutsu user,” he said setting his tools down, “so shouldn't you try a dogo or something?”
“And you look like girly-boy, but I don't go telling you how to man up,” Manfread replied flatly. The man blinked taken aback for a moment, then he laughed.
“I'm sorry I seem to have offended you, I'm Hirio one of the owners of this store,” he said casually, “is there anything I can help you with.”
“Actually I need prices of everything this store sells,” Manfread replied.
“Simple enough,” Hirio said taking out two scrolls and handing them to Manfread, “The first is for puppets, and the second is a list of weapons and ammo for the puppets.”
“Ah, thanks,” Manfread said taking the scrolls and putting them away. He said his good byes and quickly left heading to the last store.
