The librarian was in a panic as Masato arrived. His excitement seemed to overwhelm the population standing outside the library as they hid from the punk kin that Masato sought. The librarian directed the shinobi to the room where his adversary lied. Walking in Masato discovered a large orange plant. " THIS ISN'T A PUNK" he shouted angrily. Just then his sharingan would activate upon what seemed like its own accord. The pumpkin glowed. He had never seen this in any of his uses of the dojutsu. Now it seemed that he could see the chakra of beings. He would instinctively bring his foot down, smashing the pumpkin. He would then move on, continuing to look for these evil orange vegetables.
__ Oh maaaan! Not the library! She haaaaaaaaated the library. Don't run! Don't talk! DON'T WHISPER SO LOUDLY! Nag nag nag nag nag nag naaaaaag! Zhi didn't mind rules, but boy oh boy was this place uptight. Zhi wouldn't spend more time here than necessary looking for more information on these darned pumpkins.

The next stop for the miniature pumpkin parade was the library. With her cat safely returned to her shoulder and three pumpkins bouncing along behind her, Bast checked over the area for any vicious veggies, but found none. Satisfied, she poked her head in to say hello to the person working the desk, then plodded onward toward victory.
The Libary seemed like it would be a good place to look as he hadn't searched it yet. The boy had searched at least a quarter of the village of the village of this point and knew that he had a lot longer to go. That was unless he managed to find where the source was coming from. But, he wouldn't know until that happened so he went forward searching with the intent of finding all pumpkins.

Saiko hadn't even managed to make it to the second floor yet. He was walking around the public area of the library when he saw a pumpkin sitting in between some books on a shelf, somewhat hidden away from the rest of the people. He sighed a bit and brought the pumpkin outside so he wouldn't ruin any of the books or scrolls inside the library. Once he was outside he destroyed the pumpkin. However, as he destroyed the pumpkin he had a thought. 'Wait a minute. If I found a pumpkin here and there. Then the pumpkins must be coming from the Eternal forest. That's it!'

A single red balloon floated by Saiko’s view. It slowly drifted by as another balloon led to the basement of arcane library. If the boy followed the balloon, then he would find a maze like hallway. Various tunes were on the walls as they twist and turn into a large, sewer like area. It was there that IT waited. IT looked like a typical, albeit out of place clown. As he danced along in the basement, however, there was more to this sight than meets the eyes.
Saiko looked up from the pumpkin, about ready to head towards the forest when he noticed something strange. A red balloon, floating towards the library. Saiko would slowly follow the balloon. "What in the world..." He dragged off as he continued to follow it. The maze kept winding and winding but, he kept close to the balloon. His left hand would reach into his pocket and slowly pull out a kunai. Something was off. Then suddenly he found himself in a sewer. And oddly enough, there was a clown. "H-Hello?" The boy spoke to the clown. "You're the one that is putting these pumpkins around aren't you?" He would say, accusingly. His hand gripped his kunai tighter as he brought his right hand up to his chest, ready to form hand seals if need be.

The clown stopped dancing when the teenager came down. He was a bit old for his taste, but a snack was a snack. “Hah-ha! I’m not the one in charge of the pumpkins silly.” He said with a laugh. One hand rested on his hip while the other waved his index finger in front of him. “No no, not I! Those belong to the Skeleton King!” He said with whimsy. He then looked up and then faced the boy again as he shook his head excitedly. “Would you like to see him? Huh, would you?!” His voice escalated with every syllable. “Alright! All I need from you is to use one ninjutsu. Any jutsu. Just use one and I’ll take you right to him.” The clown said. Of course, nothing was as it seemed. If Saiko tried to use ninjutsu, then all that would result would be failure.
The boy listened to the dancing clown as it spoke to him. It was giving him a lot for information than he thought the creature was. So, this wasn't the thing placing the pumpkins but, it must work for him in some way. Or it at least knew what was going on. Based on what the clown was saying, all it was going to take was one single jutsu usage. Perhaps to impress him? To entertain him? Saiko wasn't sure of the reasoning but, if the clown was truthful, Saiko could get to the bottom of this all. "My pleasure." Saiko would say with a smirk as he went through hand seals. He was gonna capture this clown. Once the hand seals finished, a dome would raise over the clown made of Crystal. Well, that was what was supposed to happen. Instead, nothing. Nada. 'What the hell? I swear I did those hand seals correctly.' Saiko's smirk quickly disappeared from his face. He thought he was prepared. He had just learned this jutsu. The boy would quickly go through the hand seals once again and just the same, nothing. "What the hell have you done?!" The boy yelled out. Suddenly he felt his blood pressure rise as well as his heart rate as adrenaline went through his body. The boy felt afraid. That was for sure.

The clown brought both of his hands to his eyes as if to use them as binoculars. He then looked around, feigning surprise. “Where is that jutsu?” He asked mockingly. His hands then separated as he made hand puppets with both of them. “Do you see a jutsu? I don’t see a jutsu?” He asked the puppets. Laughter broke from his body as he then pointed at the boy with his right hand. “Little Saiko Can’t use ninjutsu~” He said in s rhymtic tone. He then started to skip toward the boy, repeating the tunes and words of his chant. Once he got within touching distance, he looked Saiko in the eyes and waved. “What’s the matter Saiko? Are you going to cry? It wouldn’t be the first time, right?” He asked, referring to Saiko’s past. He loved that the boy was afraid, and he wanted him to cower further. He needed it in order to feast.
Saiko narrowed his eye slightly as he stared at the clown. The boy certainly felt afraid. He couldn't use his ninjutsu it was his most powerful weapon. What was he supposed to do? Saiko slowly backed up as the clown started to skip towards him, listening to the chant. Each time the chant was said, it would ring in Saiko's head. However, he quickly found himself back against the wall with the clown looking in his eye. Saiko certainly felt like crying. The boy had put so much effort into becoming a shinobi and wanted to be powerful like the Kazekage. But, here he was the first time he ever went to help the village he was back against a wall literally with no way of defending himself. 'Dad! I'm sorry I should have listened to you.' The boy thought as his right hand instinctively clutched the locket that was tied around his neck. The boy was going to give up, what could he do. However, there was a distant voice to be heard. Most would call it his conscious. 'Don't fail your father you coward. Don't fail your family. Don't fail your village. You promised to protect this village so you better damn well give it your all.' Saiko's own voice rang out in his head, drowning out the tunes of the clown. What was once fear slowly became replaced with anger but, not only anger a passion to protect those he loved. "I may not be able to use ninjutsu but, I can still kick your ******** a**." Saiko blurted out at the clown. As he said this, his right hand went down to his katana and drew it, slashing at the clown with the very little gap that he had allowed.

The clown caught the blade in both of his hands. His skin became as hard as steel. As the sword failed to strike him, the clown laughed harder. "Oh Little Saiko. Your daddy is going to be so sad when he sees how weak you are." He said as he puckered his lips before breaking into another smile. To the right of Saiko stood his father. A scowl crossed his face as he looked down at his son. "Is that it? Your best was a half a** sword slash? Look at you? You're ready to piss your pants at the first sight of danger. Is that it pants pisser? Do you even know what it means to be a ninja?" His words went from scolding to downright yelling. Saiko was close to breaking from fear into courage, but he was still relying on memories and promises instead of inner strength. It couldn't be the will of anyone else to force Saiko to fight. He needed to confront it on his own.
